INTRODUCTION
• Advent of technology leads to increased traffic hazards and road
accidents.
• Huge loss of life and property due to poor emergency facilities.
• The system detects the vehicle accident using vibration sensor or
MEMS sensor.
• It sends a message to police control room with the location of
accident to minimise the time required for legal police process, and
a victim can get fast treatment.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
GSM(Global System for Mobile
communication)
• Now a days, GSM service is easily available to everyone.
• You need not to carry a different remote.
• It is used to send SMS.
• It provides serial interface.
• Can be controlled through serial AT commands.
MEM SENSOR
• It is the most applicable Micro-electromechanical system.
• It is a small, thin, low power complete 3 axis accelerometer.
• It can measure the static acceleration of gravity in tilt sensing as well
as dynamic acceleration resulting from motion, shock or vibrations.
• The output signals are analog voltages that are proportional to
acceleration.
LPC 2148
• 16/32 bit ARM -7TDMI-S microcontroller.
• One or two 10 bit A/D converter.
• 8 to 40 kB of on-chip static RAM and 32 to 512 kB of on-chip flash
program memory.
• Single 10-bit D/A converter provides variable analog output.
• Single power supply CPU operating voltage range of 3.0V to3.6V with
5 V tolerant I/O pads.
• On-chip integrated oscillator operates with an external crystal in range
from 1 MHz to 30 MHz and with an external oscillator up to 50 MHz.
GPS(Global positioning system)
• It is a system which determine location accurately anywhere in the
world.
• It has 3 segments:
o Space Segment – 24 satellites.
o User Segment – all of us with receivers, phones, etc.
o Control Segment – 6 ground stations located around the world.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
• An LCD is a displaying device used to display the character.
• Here, the LCD is used to display the status and position of the
vehicle.
• The number to which the position of the vehicle is to be delivered,
also displayed on the LCD such that changes can be made if
necessary.
• The standard dimension of a 4x20 display unit is 68x27 mm for a
single square unit on the display board.
ADVANTAGES &
DISADVANTAGES
Advantages:
• Vehicle which has undergone accident can be identified using
tracking technology.
• Few sensors are able to capture a wide variety of movements.
• User convenience and effective power saving.
• Immediate medication will be provided to the victims in remote
areas.
Disadvantages:
• Existing system do not work if the system itself damaged in the
vehicle accident.
• System will not work in case it is not in the GSM network coverage
area.
APPLICATIONS
• Cost effective solution for control of accidents.
• It can be used in anti-lock breaking system.
• This system can be interfaced with vehicle airbag system.
FUTURE WORK
• There is a scope for improvement and as a future implementation,
we can add a alcohol sensor to prevent accident and a digital camera
to know the more detail about the accident.
• This system can be interfaced with vehicle airbag system that
prevents vehicle occupants from striking interior objects such as the
steering wheel or window.
CONCLUSION
• This system can shorten the alarm time greatly and locate the
accident spot accurately.
• It will save the rescuers from wasting their time in search.
