this is my anaylsis of John Catt academy magazine which i have done for my AS media studies A-Level

1. The second image is of what looks to be a
student doing something in technology class,
he looks like he is focused on getting this
piece right but he looks like he is enjoying his
self in this class. The third image is of what
looks to be a teacher and two young students
in the garden planting flowers or seeds, the
teacher has a big smile on her which makes
me think that she is enjoying this exercises
with her two students. The two young pupils
also seem to be enjoying them self and are
getting really involved with this exercises.
John Catt publishes this magazine along with
lots of other magazines such as Prep school
which I also analysed and conference and
common room. John Catt also publishes books
about school life and taking a gap year before
going to university. This particular magazine
cost five pounds but you can subscribe to the
magazine and get it for twenty five pounds for
a two year subscription which is six magazines
for the price of three. This magazine is
published three times a year.

This magazine is targeting pupils or students who
may attend an academy school. Its targeting
parents or guardians of pupils who attend a
academy school or pupils who may want to attend
a academy school in the future. The reader can
interact with the magazine if they are reading it
online as if you click on the names of the articles it
will take you directly to that article. The
photographs also take you directly to the article
they are related to. This is good as if you want to
read that article all you have to do is to click on
the link or photograph and it takes you there this
is good navigation in the magazine both online
The images on this content page are
good as they are related to the article
and help the reader a visual image of
what is going on in the article. The first
image is of a man which looks to be in a
conference or a meeting who looks like
he may be nervous to be sitting there
with everyone watching him answer the
questions that are being shouted at him
by different members of the audience.

2. This content page seems like
there has been a lot of time
spent in producing it and the
rest of the magazine. They
have a colour scheme with is
blue, green and white with a
little bit of orange in it they
have stuck with this
throughout the whole
magazine which is good as it is
easy recognizable if you see it
in a shop. There is subjects
such as autonomy and
governance, School
improvement and curriculum,
Special needs, fair funding,
finance and staff, Teacher
development, Developing
personal skills and Fasna. The
articles that feature in the
magazine are all to do with
the world around us and what
is going on in our society.
