Overview
Betfred is the fourth largest bookmaker in the UK, with almost 1,400 licensed betting
shops. We have a long established reputation for value and customer satisfaction
and offer more concessions and bonuses than any other bookmaker. Due to internal
promotion, we are now looking to hire an Area Manager within London
Key Responsibilities
• Management of allocated shops within your designated area, ensuring retail
managers and staff deliver exceptional Betfred standards.
• Visit shops at regular intervals to monitor productivity, customer service and ensure
that all staff are fully trained and motivated.
• Advising designated shops of their monthly/quarterly and annual budgets, reviewing
at regular intervals.
• Ensure the delivery of agreed targets through continuous monitoring of shop activity,
offering support, training and performance reviews when necessary.
• Attend regional and area meetings to discuss new company initiatives, implementing
within shops in agreed timeframes.
• Regular liaison with Regional Managers and Head Office to report on area
performance.
• Regular review of competitor activity, maintaining high knowledge and analysing
industry trends.
• Establish and monitor best working practices in line with the Gambling Commission.
• Hold investigatory and disciplinary meetings with members of staff where necessary.
• Investigate any security issues, liaising with Head Office to ensure compliance.
• A key part of the role involves the ability to work alongside operations and provide
support and guidance through a variety of methods. It is important that the successful
candidate can establish professional working relationships and communicate
effectively with all levels of management within Betfred.
• Applicants must hold a full UK drivers licence
