College Tuition
College Tuition: A Hardship for American Families To flourish in America today, the average student
will have to go to a high quality college, earn a degree and land a successful job to eventually support
a family. However, success is easier said than done, because all of those steps are vital. The step that
many Americans struggle with is affording a high quality college, not because they aren t smart or
skilled enough, but because Americans cannot pay for the pricy tuition and additional expenses. The
rising of college tuition scares many, even though they yearn for a college degree. Two reasons for this
struggle are that college costs are taking a monumental percentage out of Americans salaries, and most
importantly the large amount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though many Americans succeed in our country today, many Americans struggle to financially
afford to send their child to a commendable college in order to acquire a prestigious degree. This is
truly a shame, but in some unfortunate cases, inevitable. In these tough economic times, Americans
need to be a part of at an excellent college, but they will first have to overcome huge obstacles.
Someone has to give in order for Americans to succeed.

Globalization Of The English Language
Globalization of the English Language It is everywhere. About 380 million speak it as their first
language and perhaps two thirds as many as their second. A billion are learning it, a third of the world
s population are in some sense exposed to it and by 2050, it is predicted, half the world will be more
or less proficient at it. It is the language of globalization English. Though defining globalization is a
contested and divisive issue, according to the Arab World English Journal, Globalization can create a
world without boundaries in which people of this world can communicate with each other, interact and
share their cultures, economies, and generally their lives via development in the fields of information
technologies, communications, and transportations (Alfehaid 104). Cultures have mixed and
economies have become interdependent. Berube s article, From Mapping the Bilingual Brain, exposed
the connection between higher IQ levels and knowing more than one language; this investigation
ignited a spark of curiosity, one which allowed me to observe the decrease in the memorization of
foreign/native languages and the increase and dependence on English in the global community today.
This overall aided in developing an extensive research question: In what ways has the globalization of
the English language worldwide impacted society? Through exploratory research, the views of
English language globalization is widely debatable; although a majority of linguists and

Strategic Bombing Of The Ussr Essay
Even before the end of the Second World War, the USSR was a very secretive and closed society. US
intelligence had little to no information about Soviet military strength and did not even have accurate
maps of the USSR. The best aerial photographs available to western planners were from the Luftwaffe
and had been captured by the allies at the end of WWII. Outside of these captured photos, virtually no
maps or aerial photography existed of the USSR, especially those areas in the Urals, Siberia and the
Far East. As victory in WWII appeared imminent, the USAAF under General Hap Arnold
commissioned studies to assess the impact of strategic bombing in the war. In addition to results about
strategic bombing, the U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS) concluded that the U.S. should have
an intelligence organization capable of knowing the strategic vulnerabilities, capabilities and
intentions of any potential enemy. In spite of the aforementioned dearth of intelligence on the USSR,
very specific information was needed for military and political leaders to make decisions regarding
their strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities. Additionally, the strategic bomber forces needed a list of
verified targets in case conflict with the USSR broke out. In order to fill the major voids in
information the US civilian leaders employed a bifurcated approach: human intelligence (HUMINT)
obtained through agency operatives, and signals (SIGINT) and imagery (IMINT) intelligence acquired

Descriptive Essay About Taco Madre
Taco Madre is a new Mexican restaurant that opened in Niles, IL. There were several reasons why this
restaurant caught my eye. The interior was designed wonderfully but the location didn t seem like a
good fit, the food was tasty, the people who went were from all age groups, and the music was
entertaining. This restaurant had mostly pros with one con, but, overall, this is a restaurant that
everyone should try because it has a taste of Mexico with a modern style.
The first time I went to Taco Madre, I noticed the location right away. This restaurant recently opened
in my area, so my friends and I decided to check it out and get a bite to eat. I noticed it was located
next to Papa Johns and a Wings restaurant. Because, there are other restaurants surrounding the
premises, it will create competition. My first impression was to dock some points because of where it
was located, but the interior area made up for it.
As I stepped inside the restaurant, the first thing that caught my eye was the walls because it had the
same design as the menu. It struck out because the patterns of the flowers that were imprinted on the
walls showed a lot of colors, which helped brighten the room and add a sense of dimension/comfort.
Not only were the colors of the walls vibrant, but so was the salsa bar because it was presented with a
wide range of spices to choose from. Moreover, Taco Madre had an excellent variety of food choices.
Some of the food they served were tacos, burritos, and tortas. The menu was not overbearing like the
Cheesecake Factory, but it was not limited like another restaurant. The aroma of the Mexican food
would make anyone salivate, the food has always tasted fresh; plus, they put extra cilantro with a lime
on the side. My friends and I combined the individual tables to make a gigantic seating arrangement
suitable for the six of us. I ordered a Mahi mahi, which is fried fish; there is an option of flour or corn
tortilla, and for dessert I ordered flan. The flan had vanilla ice cream, cherries, and whipped cream
added to the top. The Mahi mahi was cooked to perfection, and the flan consisted of sugary
ingredients, and the sweet taste filled my mouth. Another factor that struck out to me was

History Of Ancient Assyrian Tomb With 10 Skeletons...
We are not makers of history. We are made by history. said Martin Luther King Jr. Everyday history is
happening all around us whether we are aware of it or not. History shapes the essence of humanity,
and this is why it is important to understand what has happened in the course of history. In this essay, I
will be discussing significant historical happenings from around the world that have occurred recently.
My first event is from an article entitled, Ancient Assyrian Tomb with 10 Skeletons Discovered in
Iraq. written by Owen Jarus. This is about the accidental discovery of a tomb that held 10 skeletons,
and it was located in Erbil, Iraq. These skeletons are believed to be from the Assyrian Empire. This
tomb was built to house the wealthy upper class. More importantly, the article discusses the
importance of this city during the Assyrian time period. This city, formerly known as Arbela, was
located in a fertile area and it also was home to the most popular temple of Ishtar the Assyrian war
goddess. The discovery of these skeletons helps historians study the culture and understand it more. I

The current events that are happening now will be in a history textbook one day. History does not
change. What happens in the past stays in the past and it can not be changed, though it can be
repeated. This class has not made me appreciate the past any more or less because I feel like I am only
in the class to take notes and past tests. I feel the same way about history as I did going into the class. I
feel like it is a necessity and it is important, but I am not passionate about the subject. History does
matter because it is how humanity learns from its mistakes and does not make them again. To put it
simply, without history we would not know what types of things work and don t work. We can use
history today for good because we can improve upon our lifestyle, health, and prosperity by studying

The Spectrophotometric Determination of an Equilibrium...
The Spectrophotometric Determination of an Equilibrium Constant.
Abstract:
The report presents determination of equilibrium constant for the formation of a complex ion
FeSCN2+. This was accomplished using a colorimeter to measure absorbance of some known
concentration solutions in order to generate the calibration curve. The equation of the graph was used
to compute the equilibrium concentrations of the reactants and products, needed to calculate the
equilibrium constant for the reaction. I. Introduction:
The purpose of the experiment is to determine the equilibrium constant for the formation of a complex
ion iron (III) thiocyanate (FeSCN2+). This ion is formed in the reaction of iron (III) ion with ... Show

Ethics of the Nuremberg Code Essay
From 1946 to 1947, the Nuremberg War Crime Trials took place, withfifteen of twenty three German
physicians and research scientist physicians found guilty of criminal human experimentation projects.
The trial court attempted to establish a set of principles of human experimentation that could serve as
a code of research ethics. The result was the Nuremberg Code, which attempted to provide a natural
law based set of universal ethical principles. Looking beyond the Nuremberg Code and applying it to
modern medical research ethics, there are many challenges that it poses. Many have argued that the
Code tries to provide for all unforeseen events, which restricts the researcher by requiring him to
anticipate every situation, demanding the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hence, a proxy was given to those who did not have legal capacity allowing researchers to expand
their population for experimentation.
The term informed has also been criticized because sometimes even the researcher is not aware of the
risks associated with the experiment or they are too technical for the subject to understand. Thus
scientists have argued that only adequate information should be released to the patient and a full
understanding is not necessary. In this clause, responsibilities are placed on the individual who is
initiating, directing, or engaging the experiment but there is no place for the researcher to be reviewed
for his actions. The scientist is in full control of making any necessary ethical deliberations. The
Declaration of Helsinki added a clause stating experimental protocols should be transmitted to a
specially appointed independent committee for consideration and comments. The third principle of the
Code addresses the justification of the performance of the experiment based on previous studies done
on animals. This may be challenged because the researcher cannot always guarantee success of the
experiment even though it has been successful on animals or in previous studies. Uncertainties in the
experiment will always be present. The Declaration of Helsinki does not

Essay On Health Care Fraud
Health care fraud comes from many aspects. Fraud comes from some type of abuse to the system.
Such abuse can come from billers, providers and or patients. Abuse of the system can turn into fraud.
Because the fraud can come from many angles, it makes it really difficult for regulatory agencies to
detect and protect against abuse and fraud. However, many changes to the system and the
collaboration of regulations by many agencies have made a difference. Health care fraud is a crime
that over time has had a significant impact on public and private health care payment system
(Kongstvedt, 2013). Making a difference for this topic can have a significant impact on health care in
general. Health care fraud takes a lot of means from the system, therefore affecting its goals. Not only
does it distract the system from its objective, it also affects the financial status of the government. It
takes a lot of effort to control fraud, economic effort that can otherwise be use in other struggles.
Because this industry is one that grows with popularity, it is very difficult for only one organization to
control or manage abuse or fraud. Popularity in this field brings great financial gains by those who
choose to cheat or abuse the system. Above all, one must continue to make efforts to fight back and to
control the losses caused by fraud. In order to continue these efforts, one must first understand how
much is lost by these criminal acts. Therefore, this paper will focus on one

Henry Chadwick Sabermetrics
In 1858, Henry Chadwick, the father of baseball , created the box score. This compilation of names,
numbers and abbreviations was one of the first attempts to document and summarize a game of
baseball. Chadwick would go on to create statistics like batting average (AVG) and earned run average
(ERA), two statistics that every baseball fan is familiar with. These statistics are the foundation of
Sabermetrics, advanced analytics that aim to evaluate players and quantitatively measure their
performance.
The term sabermetrics is the combination of two terms; saber comes from SABR or the Society for
American Baseball Research and metric, a standard of measurement. Starting in 1977, Bill James
started publishing Baseball Abstracts, an annual publication ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The team that can score and prevent runs the best will win. And while this may sound obvious at first,
this is fundamentally what Sabermetrics tries to analyze and predict. Which players are offensively
accounting for the most runs, and defensively putting their teams in a position to prevent runs.
As mentioned before, batting average (AVG) is a stat that defines many batters. A batting average over
.300 (30 percent of at bats (AB) end up in hits) would imply that a player is an above average hitter. A
.400 average has long been considered one the ultimate goals of batting, and also something that is
becoming unfeasible in modern baseball (the last time was in 1941). However, while many players are
defined by this number, it is incredibly flawed.
For example, we can look at Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2015, he had a batting
average of .284, much higher than the league average of .255 (According to ESPN stats and
information). However, if we use conventional thinking, we might think that Josh Donaldson is just an
above average hitter, not the superstar that finished fourth in the AL MVP race. This is because batting
average does not account for walks and treats every hit the same. In short, Sabermetrics changed this

Why Migraines Strike Summary
Why Migraines Strike
Summary:
The article begins by explaining the importance of migraines and how often they occur. The article
says that there are more than 300 million people who suffer from their migraines, and they deal with
all the symptoms of migraines like excruciating and pulsating pain in the head. Interestingly migraines
have been around for around 7000 years, but it is only been in recent history that they have been
recognized as a legit illness. However, even though it is now recognized as a serious ailment not much
is known of what cause them. Research into migraines is not an easy task. First off, people who
experience them in different ways. Some people have migraines daily others maybe once a month,
which creates a wide range to work in. On top of this, they seem to be brought on by countless
activities like dehydration, alcohol, physical exertion, allergies, and sleep deprivation among others.
However, most interesting is that women between 15 55 make up 2/3 of those affected by migraines.
Which is a very large amount of total sufferers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This began in Greece when Galen said that vapors from the liver going to the head caused them.
However, later on Harold Wolff decided that they come from stretching and dilating blood vessels in
the brain. This lead people to believe that a decrease in blood causes the migraine, but it was later
observed that an increase in blood is what causes the pain. However, blood flow is not increased
during the headache, rather the circulation remains normal or in some cases is reduced. These findings
have lead people to assume that the main culprit may be a nervous system disorder. Sadly, this
disorder occurs in one of the most primitive and required parts of the nervous system, the brain

Comparing The Story Of An Hour And Interlopers
The story of an hour and the interlopers are two completely different stories, most people would not
think that they had much, if anything in common. When I looked harder at these stories I noticed that
they have quite similar conclusions. In the story of an hour Louise Mallard is informed that her
husband has just died, she asks to be alone for a while and goes to her room. When she is in her room
she begins to have a strange sense of freedom. At first she does not want to accept this. Almost as soon
as she has embraced this new sense of freedom, she goes back down stairs and her husband walks in
the front door causing her new awakening to be dashed out of her reach. Which then causes her to die
of a heart attack. In the Interlopers Two

Void And The Void
Architecture performs the new formulation and reproduction by formatting actions in order to
accommodate to the existing environment. The basic practice of the architectural space is to reform
the object of architecture on the site. People have built a natural environment for themselves by
starting the first shelter since they are in the world. The built environment that undergoes continually a
transformation and change has evolved to be closely associated with people and the lives of people. At
this point, the relationship between architectural and urban voids came into prominence. So, what is
the void? How is it designed? And how can the void contact its inside and outside? or What is the
potential of voids?
Many theorists, architects, and philosophers have asked these questions for over two thousand year
but answers are still uncertain. As a general thing, the void is about absence instead of existence, or
about nothing instead of a thing. However, it may be said that void as emptiness is defined with a
mutual understanding. Void as a conceptual topic could provide the inspiration for art and architecture.
The existence of voids could reach to individuals and society thanks to art and architectural works.
Although void and fullness are in opposite, they always create each other. Figure 1.1 :The

I guess no because the term of void is very vague on account of constituting a multi layered fiction. It
is unidentified in the first time and can not be poured into question. Therefore, it can be thought that
void is a notion that allows diverse expansions. In daily language, the notion of the void has a clearer
sense. As a noun, void refers both the physical emptiness and the deficiency of something. As an
adjective, it refers a position and a place that is not occupied and generated. These meanings of void
focus on emptiness but actually, void is not empty

Understanding Hate Crime Statutes And Building Towards A...
The topic of hate crime is so controversial because there can be different perspectives on the whole
issue, which can eventually cause a massive huge debate on the entire matter. In Ben Gillis article
called Understanding Hate Crime Statutes and Building Towards a Better System in Texas, the author
separates his points in a way that can give the reader a better way of understanding the Hate Crime
laws and the effects of it. Gillis s way of dissecting the article is extremely effective due to the fact
that not only he explains what exactly a hate crime is in its basic form but he also explains hate crime
in its entirety, and he also shows how some states adapt to the whole issue. People may ask in what
way does it make it in a sense illegal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now any one can take a jab at what they think a hate crime is but in the article Understanding Hate
Crime Statutes and Building Towards a Better System in Texas the author supports us with his
definition of a what is a hate crime a hate crime, at its basic level is an attack upon the person or
property of an individual motivated by hatred of a characteristic of that person, such as race, religion,
gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity (Gillis 199). Now that the definition gives us clarity on what
exactly labeled onto what exactly is considered a hate crime. For example, did you know that if
someone vandalizes a synagogue and they write something offensive to the Followers of that
particular religion that will be considered a hate crime because of the person is motivated by hatred
towards the Followers (Gillis 199). You may have your own perspective on a particular group but if
you so happen to put your hands on the person to harm them because of your belief it becomes a hate
crime. In its basic form of what is a hate crime Gillis uses the definition so that the reader aware hate
crime criteria. Let us take another article for example, In opening of Jesse Larner s article Hate
Crime/Thought Crime he alluded to a situation where two Caucasian men decided to go and attack
two African American with the intent to do some serious harm to them. There were no knowledge as
to what was motivated them to do so. One thing for sure according to Larner, Sean Riley Caught up to
one of the victims and remorselessly told her I m going to kill you, you black bitch . Without a doubt it
is extremely obvious that hatred of a specific race was the driving force behind the gruesome actions
posed by the two men especially Mr. Sean Riley. There s no way that the 1st amendment of the United

Impossibility Within The Fantasy Of The Book Alphabet Of...
Impossibility within the Fantasy realm in Alphabet of Thorn and the Year of Our War
As Farah Mendelsohn stated, the most obvious construction of fantasy in literature and art is the
presence of the impossible and the unexplainable. In my perspective, both McKillip and Swainston
brilliantly expand our perception of the impossible by introducing us to different elements of fantasy
such as time travel in Alphabet of Thorn and an alternate reality known as the Shift in The Year of Our
War. The fantasy genre encourages us to keep an open mind as we delve into other worlds; simply put,
fantasy shows the readers how to perceive the world differently. While both of these novels clearly
create a delineation of the impossible through an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s important to note that even though the audience is aware of the impossibility of giant, flesh
devouring insects, we are persuaded that this world of fantasy is indeed real. After analyzing both
novels, one of the most significant similarities between the two would be the author s intentional
system of rules placed in the story in order to explain how the world operated. In the Year of Our War,
after god left the Fourlands, the Empire created a circle of 50 immortals to fight the war (93). Mortals
and immortals coexisted peacefully because of the hierarchal power system placed upon the Empire
and the King; not to mention their common enemy of swarming insects attacking all living beings. On
the other hand, the Alphabet of Thorn provided a history of the 12 Crowns of Raine and the individual
roles associated with the floating school, Royal Library etc. The authors, in their own writing style,
have revealed to us what is possible and considered the norm within their worlds. This makes it easier
for us to differentiate the reality from the impossible when those fantasy elements are introduced later
on in the plotline. For instance, in our mundane world, we perceive magic to be impossible, but it s
very much real in Raine. What deems to be impossible in one world becomes possible in another
story.

##flected The End Of Inequality And Segregation In...
Petrus Reflected the End of Inequality and Racial Segregation in Post Apartheid South Africa
The setting of a novel is a crucial element that leads to the reader s understanding of any political,
social, or economical factors that the characters experience. We are first introduced to Petrus when
David, the protagonist, moves to South Africa to live with his daughter Lucy. We would think that
Petrus, or as he introduced himself to David the gardener or dog man I look after the dogs and I work
in the garden. Yes...I am the gardener and the dog man. He reflects for a moment. The dog man, he
repeats, savouring the phrase. (Coetzee 64) would play a minor, insignificant character, later develops
a key role in the novel. Petrus becomes an important example of change for blacks in South Africa
after Apartheid. Disgrace, a novel by J. M. Coetzee, reflects the ending of racial segregation and
inequality in post apartheid South Africa.
Disgrace is a novel that takes place in South Africa during post apartheid. As Loxley mentions, The
inequalities inherent in apartheid, and the weakness of the role South Africa plays in the world
economy, have combined to generate political and economic instability (Loxley 1). This is slowly
shifted throughout the novel when we trace the actions of Petrus and his development in the novel.
Not only is inequality a factor, but as Fantu mentions, South Africa is a very unequal society,
consisting of a highly developed, first world sector on the one hand and an underdeveloped, third
world sector on the other. Racial and class differences generally coincide; most members of the
wealthy minority are white, and most members of the poor majority are black (Fantu 1). This shift is
underlyingly noticeable when David arrives to South Africa and is greeted by Petrus.
Social status is an essential element in this novel. The social status of the characters in this novel is
frequently addressed. Through Petrus, we can see a shift not only socially, but throughout the
community and country. We learn Lucy owns a piece of land that both her and Petrus work on, and
that Petrus purchased a piece of it from Lucy He got a Land Affairs grant earlier this year, enough to
buy a hectare and a bit from

Supplier Diversity In The 1980 s
In the early 1980 s, the small town of Clarkston, Georgia could be best described as a neighborly and
old fashioned southern town It was a place where kids played baseball, everybody knew their
neighbors, and English was the spoken language However, things changed by the mid 1980 s, when
Clarkstonbecame a large resettlement location for refugees from mainly the middle east. The town
was appealing because of affordable housing and easily accessible jobs in Atlanta. By 2000, the
United States Census showed that one third of Clarkston s resident were foreign born, thus making it a

The Determination To Obtain Vengeance In Hamlet And Ridley...
The Determination to Obtain Vengeance Depending on the perspective of a situation, revenge can be
ethical to someone, but it can also be immoral to someone else. In William Shakespeare s Hamlet and
Ridley Scott s Gladiator, the protagonists experience grief and are both driven to seek revenge after
the deaths of loved ones, which leads to their tragic downfall. Hamlet and Maximus are ambitious in
avenging the murder of their family members as they obsessively want to execute Claudius and
Commodus. However, their strong desire causes them to delay obtaining vengeance as they must be
careful with the strategies they use since they could affect themselves. Both characters are quick to
believe the killer is someone that has done harm to them in the past eliciting them to be enraged. King
Hamlet s Ghost returns to the castle encountering Hamlet for the first time as he reveals that Claudius,
Denmark s new King and Hamlet s uncle, is his murderer and in addition tells him that he must take
revenge for his death. Hamlet without hesitation trusts what the ghost is telling him, Now to my word.
/ It is Adieu, adieu, remember me. / I have sworn t (Shakespeare 1.5.110 112). Hamlet s extreme
melancholy causes him to make a promise as his only loyalty is to his father and he is willing to
sacrifice anything to achieve retaliation. This task creates him to have a huge liability while still being
in a miserable condition, which leads Hamlet to think suicidal. Yet, along the way of

Social Class Theory And Political Sociology
Power is the The ability of individuals or groups to make there own concerns and interestes count,
even when others resist . ( Anthony Giddens 2001 ). There are three major theoretical frameworks in
political sociology pluralist, elite theory, and social class perspectives. Classic pluralist see power held
by a variety of groups in society; some of which are more powerful than others. The diverse and
competing interests of different groups is the basis for a democratic equilibrium. These groups
compete with each other to maximise their influence. No one group or class is able to dominate all
other groups because of checks and balances built into a democratic system. Elite theory involves the
idea that rather than there being a simple plurality of competing groups in society, there are instead a
series of competing elites and powerful groups who are able to impose their will and dominate the rest
of society. social class theory is based off the ideas of Karl Marx. These frameworks have set the
foundation for most perspectives in political sociology.
There are two main sociological perspectives. The Functionalist Perspective, Symbolic Interactionism
Perspective and the Conflict Perspective. Functionalism presents society as a machine of
interconnected parts that work together in unison to maintain a state of economic balance and social
equilibrium for the whole. for example the family, schools, government and religion are social

Randy Pausch Biography
I couldn t imagine going through the same situation as Randy Pausch, it s possibly the hardest thing to
hear. With that in mind, I would have to try to make the best out of it; like Paucsh said You have to
decide whether you are a Tigger or Eyeore. With strength and pain I would try my best to always be
the fun loving Tigger in my last moments. My decision would be to spend my last moments doing
what I love with the people who are closest to me. The memories that you make will over power
having all the materialistic things in the world. Pausch s ideas on how to live a life that he explained in
his last lecture are strong enough to change most peoples attitudes. After hearing his lecture with the
circumstances that he was going through, it

Essay about Security in dorm halls
Security in dorm halls on universities across the nation is a huge problem that each campus must
address, due to the amount of people living in such close quarters. Residence hall security should be
an important factor in the college decision making process. Today s college freshman arrives for the
first day of his/her college career hampered with personal property of substantial value. Most students
come to college equipped with an advanced computer system and can be the target of burglary. Many
other items of value accompany the student. Sexual assaults are also a potential problem. The
possibility of theft and sexual assaults make residence hall and individual room security a basic
prevention strategy. To ensure a safe campus, it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When students graduate from college, most will purchase their own home or rent an apartment. They
must learn NOW how to secure their belongings and protect themselves from intruders. How many
people do you know would let complete strangers walk right into their own homes, no questions
asked? Students need to learn to take pride in their possessions and dwellings while they are in college
to prevent future break ins once they graduate.
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is taking steps to ensure the safety of their students that
the would normally neglect. For instance, during spring break, campus police walked the mostly
empty halls of Hawthorn Hall and locked any door that was left unlocked. Also, security guards and
residence coordinators are trained to issue citations to any student who breaches security. One student
caught with a security infraction, Andrew Greer, was even made to write a two paper on why it is
imperitive to secure residence halls. With the addition of yet another paper, this could be a very useful
deterent that could be used on campuses across the nation.
Ultimately, residence hall security is up to the students who live there. Students must take
responsibility for their own possessions and own well being. Since college is a time for learning and
change, what better time to learn this

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
Description: Polycystic kidney disease, also known as PKD, is a genetic disorder where clusters of
cysts develop in the kidneys. Cysts are fluid filled sacs that vary in size depending on how much fluid
is in the sac. This disease impacts the ability of the kidneys to filter waste products from the blood. In
many cases, the growth of the cysts causes the kidneys to become enlarged which can lead to kidney
failure. There are three types of polycystic kidney disease: autosomal dominant (ADPKD), autosomal
recessive (ARPKD), and acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD). Autosomal dominant and autosomal
recessive polycystic kidney diseases are both genetic disorders, while acquired cystic kidney disease is
not inherited. Autosomal dominant is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to deal with pain, many health care providers suggest taking over the counter medication like
aspirin. High blood pressure is one of the most common symptoms in patients with PKD. Many
patients have to make lifestyle changes and take various medications to lower blood pressure. Some
lifestyle changes that may need to take place include a strict diet or an increase in exercise. About 50
percent of people with PKD experience kidney failure by the age of 60, and 70 percent will have
kidney failure by age 70 (National Kidney Foundation, 2016). Although there is no way to reverse
kidney failure, there are ways to prolong the life of the kidneys. Patients either need to receive dialysis
or receive a kidney transplant. There are two types of dialysis. The first is hemodialysis. This is where
a machine is used to filter toxins from the blood. The second is peritoneal dialysis. This is where the
lining of the abdomen is used to filter blood from inside the body. A kidney transplant is when the
unhealthy kidney is removed from the patient s body and a healthy one is put in. The healthy kidney
typically comes from a family member to reduce the risk of rejection (National Institute of Diabetes

Mnr Influence On America
Since its birth in the late 18th century, the United States has arguably had one of the greatest global
presences in human history. It has left its impact on most, if not all, nations currently in existence. In
the past century, the United States has helped develop and manage many different countries around the
world. In recent years the goal of this nation building and managing came in response to the spreading
of communistic ideals. The United States, being a democratic and capitalistic nation, helped many
nations avoid being led by communistic regimes. United States intervention has helped to prevent
dictatorships, oppression, and genocide around the globe. Many of these interventions came during a
key period of time of communistic ideology ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The spreading of communistic ideals was a, if not the, primary focus of U.S. foreign policy. Even
though both of these countries are thousands of miles and multiple continents away, the manner in
which the U.S. intervened in both of these countries is strikingly similar. While communism was the
root of both of these countries interventions, the MNR was not nearly as dangerous of a communist
threat as the North Korean government. The communistic goals of the oppressive North Korean
government were a much greater threat to democracy than the primarily economic goals that the MNR
had. This is why war was imminent in Korea but in Bolivia it remained relatively peaceful. While both
countries received financial and provisional aid from the United States, the reasoning behind this aid
was different. In Bolivia the United States gave this aid in an attempt to stabilize their government and
keep making economic profit from the tin industry in Bolivia. While aid in Korea was less for United
States gain and more for the retention of democracy. Economically speaking, the case of Bolivia and
South Korea turned out to have an extremely different impact. The aid that was given to Bolivia, in
turn ruined their economy and drove them into deeper and deeper reliance upon the United States. In
South Korea however, the South Korean people were able to capitalize on the aid they were given and
turn it into a highly functional and profiting society. This is possibly because the Bolivians were never
able to diversify their countries source of revenue as South Korea was able to, with it coming
primarily from tin and oil. To this day the Bolivian people still have a dependence on the American
government where the Korean and American government can almost be seen as equals. It would be a
safe assumption to say that both the Korean and

Egypt And Greek Comparison Essay
The development of civilizations was the key factor in advancing society, advancements that disposed
of the idea of a hunter gather society. The ancient Egyptians and the Greeks are known for
contributing the most towards civilization. However, each possessed similar and different qualities
that came together to help shape our world today.
The Egyptian civilization was very fortunate in terms that their environment was very dependable
unlike Greece. The annual flooding of the Nile river renewed the soil and brought about fertile black
soil that in turn resulted in them being the richest agricultural region. Egyptians figured out that the
land beyond the river was inhabitable and the environment was not dependable. Realizing this they
built their civilization around the Nile river and used the flooding to their advantage. However, unlike
the Egyptians who settled around the river the Greeks built many cities upon mountain strongholds.
For example, acropolis of Athens is known for being the fortified palace on top of the mountain.
Like many early civilizations, both the Egyptians and Greeks had a social pyramid that didn t give
much freedom to the people. In Egypt, the Pharaoh his family were known as completely apart from
everyone else. There was the small majority of nobles who served priests and also the elite who were
below the pharaoh and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They both used their environment and the things around them to grow and surpass other civilizations.
However, each had their issues and developed different ideals and religious beliefs that helped to set
them apart from other civilizations. Aside from these differences, I would like to believe that they both
are known as civilizations who brought about change to the world. Whether good or bad these two
civilizations had a lasting effect that brought about many simple things we disregard

Thus, in describing the trade in African slaves and the institution of New World slavery as the largest
crime in human history, Nehusi speaks of the Maafa, or the African Holocaust, as a terror that has

much in line with the thinking of Smart and Nehusi, Paquet views slavery as a crime and speaks of the

Japanese Culture, Gender Roles And Symbols Of Japan
Culture and Society
Japan is a high context culture. Mainly considered a homogenous society, there are still significant
variations in the regional social and cultural patterns. Personality traits are attributed to certain
regions. Local culture such as cuisine and dialects express the regional identities of the Japanese who
take pride in their place of birth.
Symbolism: Foreign representations of Japan include the images of Mount Fuji, samurai and geisha
but these are not considered as symbols of contemporary Japan by the people of Japan. Instead
contemporary Japanese people consider that symbols represent the local regional identity since every
village town and city is famous for a particular cuisine, craft or performing art. Formally, Japanese ...

The Triune God Of Christian Faith
Mary Ann Fatula s The Triune God of Christian Faith provides for the reader the inner life of God as
well as insight into the human reality. Fatula s writing draws the devotional discussion of the Trinity
as the present day effect of the Trinitarian faith is called to support attempts to articulate and live the
Trinitarian mystery. The Trinity in a human s life is the content of our definition of our human
meaning and for an infinite gift: love. Each of us has a desire for achieving meaning, for love, and for
wholeness. Fatula in her book develops the study of the divine persons and states the importance of
understanding what it is to be truly a person of both human and divine potential.
In the Christian faith triune God is very significant. Christian is Trinitarian, describing Jesus as the one
whom the Father anoints (christos) with the Spirit so that the Spirit may anoint our own lives (16).
Christians confess Jesus as the risen Lord of the universe, but is proclaimed to be inseparable from the
one who sent him, the one Jesus knew intimately as Abba, or dear Father. The ultimate paradox of
Christianity is Jesus. Having Jesus at its very center disclosed as the source, the meaning, and the
definitive answer to all of human longings causes this ultimate paradox. Fatula goes on to discuss, that
although Jesus is the triune God, many of the people would not identify this God as the living God we
actually experience in our own daily lives.

The Day Of A Cold And Wet Spring
At the time of responding to this question it is perfectly timed, as finally we have some lovely weather
after the extended winter caused by a cold and wet spring. So sunshine, blue skies and starry nights
along with higher temperatures are finally with us in the south west. Some Brits will have already
made plans to seek warmer weather and the almost guaranteed sun with warm breezes that come with
booking a holiday in hot spots. Over the years I have had some pretty fabulous holidays overseas and
in the UK and have a few photo s and fond memories to draw upon. These days with a combination of
a husband with a dislike of flying and dogs who we don t wish to put into kennels, our holidays tend
to revolve around our homeland and what treasures we have found too. From child friendly and
latterly teen friendly holidays, to romantic getaways and action packed outings we have covered a
huge array of accommodations, activities and explored some fantastic places. I can relate to all of the
suggestions that precede the Ciao! Question: where will you be going and which products will you
take with you?

We Love the West:
This year, I turned to Airbnb for inspiration and to find suitable accommodation. From my shortlist we
chose to stay on a boat in Brixham Marina and we have already had our main holiday which we
enjoyed at the end of June anticipating almost guaranteed sunshine and generous temperatures. Whilst
the British weather did not live up to our expectations our

Personification is used in dialogues like I love the way they sail over traffic jams. (p.34). The
personification identified in this sentence had to deal with sailing, a verb, traffic jams, a non living
thing, because personification deals with a nonliving object that can use actions in a sentence and
expresses that the things sail over traffic jams. Even though, sailing is only for boats. Imagery is used
in as dialogues like She had human features but her face was pale blue like a clear sky and just as
bright. She was luminous. Her puffy blond cloud shaped hair reminded me of golden cotton candy.

Support Inclusion Education Cons
There are pros and cons to inclusion education. Those who support inclusion education point to the
benefits which result from putting students with disabilities into general classrooms with other
children who do not have a disability. To begin, integrating students with disabilities into the
classroom forces some teachers to leave their comfort zones and learn new techniques to become
better instructors. Another big benefit for students of all levels of ability is the increase in social areas
such as peer modeling. Children from both aspects of the discussion learn social norms from their
peers exhibiting acceptable academic and social behaviors. Relationship building as well as allowing
children to understand diversity are also great pros.

However, success is easier said than done, because all of those steps are vital. The step that many Americans struggle with is affording a high quality college, not because they aren t smart or skilled enough, but because Americans cannot pay for the pricy tuition and additional expenses. A billion are learning it, a third of the world s population are in some sense exposed to it and by 2050, it is predicted, half the world will be more or less proficient at it. It is the language of globalization English. Though defining globalization is a contested and divisive issue, according to the Arab World English Journal, Globalization can create a world without boundaries in which people of this world can communicate with each other, interact and share their cultures, economies, and generally their lives via development in the fields of information technologies, communications, and transportations (Alfehaid 104). Cultures have mixed and economies have become interdependent. Berube s article, From Mapping the Bilingual Brain, exposed the connection between higher IQ levels and knowing more than one language; this investigation ignited a spark of curiosity, one which allowed me to observe the decrease in the memorization of foreign/native languages and the increase and dependence on English in the global community today. This overall aided in developing an extensive research question: In what ways has the globalization of the English language worldwide impacted society? Through exploratory research, the views of English language globalization is widely debatable; although a majority of linguists and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Strategic Bombing Of The Ussr Essay Even before the end of the Second World War, the USSR was a very secretive and closed society. US intelligence had little to no information about Soviet military strength and did not even have accurate maps of the USSR. The best aerial photographs available to western planners were from the Luftwaffe and had been captured by the allies at the end of WWII. Outside of these captured photos, virtually no maps or aerial photography existed of the USSR, especially those areas in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. As victory in WWII appeared imminent, the USAAF under General Hap Arnold commissioned studies to assess the impact of strategic bombing in the war. In addition to results about strategic bombing, the U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS) concluded that the U.S. should have an intelligence organization capable of knowing the strategic vulnerabilities, capabilities and intentions of any potential enemy. In spite of the aforementioned dearth of intelligence on the USSR, very specific information was needed for military and political leaders to make decisions regarding their strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities. Additionally, the strategic bomber forces needed a list of verified targets in case conflict with the USSR broke out. In order to fill the major voids in information the US civilian leaders employed a bifurcated approach: human intelligence (HUMINT) obtained through agency operatives, and signals (SIGINT) and imagery (IMINT) intelligence acquired ... • 6. Descriptive Essay About Taco Madre Taco Madre is a new Mexican restaurant that opened in Niles, IL. There were several reasons why this restaurant caught my eye. The interior was designed wonderfully but the location didn t seem like a good fit, the food was tasty, the people who went were from all age groups, and the music was entertaining. This restaurant had mostly pros with one con, but, overall, this is a restaurant that everyone should try because it has a taste of Mexico with a modern style. The first time I went to Taco Madre, I noticed the location right away. This restaurant recently opened in my area, so my friends and I decided to check it out and get a bite to eat. I noticed it was located next to Papa Johns and a Wings restaurant. Because, there are other restaurants surrounding the premises, it will create competition. My first impression was to dock some points because of where it was located, but the interior area made up for it. As I stepped inside the restaurant, the first thing that caught my eye was the walls because it had the same design as the menu. It struck out because the patterns of the flowers that were imprinted on the walls showed a lot of colors, which helped brighten the room and add a sense of dimension/comfort. Not only were the colors of the walls vibrant, but so was the salsa bar because it was presented with a wide range of spices to choose from. Moreover, Taco Madre had an excellent variety of food choices. Some of the food they served were tacos, burritos, and tortas. The menu was not overbearing like the Cheesecake Factory, but it was not limited like another restaurant. The aroma of the Mexican food would make anyone salivate, the food has always tasted fresh; plus, they put extra cilantro with a lime on the side. My friends and I combined the individual tables to make a gigantic seating arrangement suitable for the six of us. I ordered a Mahi mahi, which is fried fish; there is an option of flour or corn tortilla, and for dessert I ordered flan. The flan had vanilla ice cream, cherries, and whipped cream added to the top. The Mahi mahi was cooked to perfection, and the flan consisted of sugary ingredients, and the sweet taste filled my mouth. Another factor that struck out to me was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. History Of Ancient Assyrian Tomb With 10 Skeletons... We are not makers of history. We are made by history. said Martin Luther King Jr. Everyday history is happening all around us whether we are aware of it or not. History shapes the essence of humanity, and this is why it is important to understand what has happened in the course of history. In this essay, I will be discussing significant historical happenings from around the world that have occurred recently. My first event is from an article entitled, Ancient Assyrian Tomb with 10 Skeletons Discovered in Iraq. written by Owen Jarus. This is about the accidental discovery of a tomb that held 10 skeletons, and it was located in Erbil, Iraq. These skeletons are believed to be from the Assyrian Empire. This tomb was built to house the wealthy upper class. More importantly, the article discusses the importance of this city during the Assyrian time period. This city, formerly known as Arbela, was located in a fertile area and it also was home to the most popular temple of Ishtar the Assyrian war goddess. The discovery of these skeletons helps historians study the culture and understand it more. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I feel the same way about history as I did going into the class. I feel like it is a necessity and it is important, but I am not passionate about the subject. History does matter because it is how humanity learns from its mistakes and does not make them again. To put it simply, without history we would not know what types of things work and don t work. We can use history today for good because we can improve upon our lifestyle, health, and prosperity by studying the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Ethics of the Nuremberg Code Essay From 1946 to 1947, the Nuremberg War Crime Trials took place, withfifteen of twenty three German physicians and research scientist physicians found guilty of criminal human experimentation projects. The trial court attempted to establish a set of principles of human experimentation that could serve as a code of research ethics. The result was the Nuremberg Code, which attempted to provide a natural law based set of universal ethical principles. Looking beyond the Nuremberg Code and applying it to modern medical research ethics, there are many challenges that it poses. The term informed has also been criticized because sometimes even the researcher is not aware of the risks associated with the experiment or they are too technical for the subject to understand. Thus scientists have argued that only adequate information should be released to the patient and a full understanding is not necessary. In this clause, responsibilities are placed on the individual who is initiating, directing, or engaging the experiment but there is no place for the researcher to be reviewed for his actions. The scientist is in full control of making any necessary ethical deliberations. The Declaration of Helsinki added a clause stating experimental protocols should be transmitted to a specially appointed independent committee for consideration and comments. The third principle of the Code addresses the justification of the performance of the experiment based on previous studies done on animals. This may be challenged because the researcher cannot always guarantee success of the experiment even though it has been successful on animals or in previous studies. • 11. Essay On Health Care Fraud Health care fraud comes from many aspects. Fraud comes from some type of abuse to the system. Such abuse can come from billers, providers and or patients. Abuse of the system can turn into fraud. Because the fraud can come from many angles, it makes it really difficult for regulatory agencies to detect and protect against abuse and fraud. However, many changes to the system and the collaboration of regulations by many agencies have made a difference. Health care fraud is a crime that over time has had a significant impact on public and private health care payment system (Kongstvedt, 2013). Making a difference for this topic can have a significant impact on health care in general. Health care fraud takes a lot of means from the system, therefore affecting its goals. Not only does it distract the system from its objective, it also affects the financial status of the government. It takes a lot of effort to control fraud, economic effort that can otherwise be use in other struggles. Because this industry is one that grows with popularity, it is very difficult for only one organization to control or manage abuse or fraud. Popularity in this field brings great financial gains by those who choose to cheat or abuse the system. Above all, one must continue to make efforts to fight back and to control the losses caused by fraud. In order to continue these efforts, one must first understand how much is lost by these criminal acts. Therefore, this paper will focus on one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Henry Chadwick Sabermetrics In 1858, Henry Chadwick, the father of baseball , created the box score. This compilation of names, numbers and abbreviations was one of the first attempts to document and summarize a game of baseball. Chadwick would go on to create statistics like batting average (AVG) and earned run average (ERA), two statistics that every baseball fan is familiar with. These statistics are the foundation of Sabermetrics, advanced analytics that aim to evaluate players and quantitatively measure their performance. The term sabermetrics is the combination of two terms; saber comes from SABR or the Society for American Baseball Research and metric, a standard of measurement. Starting in 1977, Bill James started publishing Baseball Abstracts, an annual publication ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The team that can score and prevent runs the best will win. And while this may sound obvious at first, this is fundamentally what Sabermetrics tries to analyze and predict. Which players are offensively accounting for the most runs, and defensively putting their teams in a position to prevent runs. As mentioned before, batting average (AVG) is a stat that defines many batters. A batting average over .300 (30 percent of at bats (AB) end up in hits) would imply that a player is an above average hitter. A .400 average has long been considered one the ultimate goals of batting, and also something that is becoming unfeasible in modern baseball (the last time was in 1941). However, while many players are defined by this number, it is incredibly flawed. For example, we can look at Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2015, he had a batting average of .284, much higher than the league average of .255 (According to ESPN stats and information). However, if we use conventional thinking, we might think that Josh Donaldson is just an above average hitter, not the superstar that finished fourth in the AL MVP race. This is because batting average does not account for walks and treats every hit the same. In short, Sabermetrics changed this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The article says that there are more than 300 million people who suffer from their migraines, and they deal with all the symptoms of migraines like excruciating and pulsating pain in the head. Interestingly migraines have been around for around 7000 years, but it is only been in recent history that they have been recognized as a legit illness. However, even though it is now recognized as a serious ailment not much is known of what cause them. Research into migraines is not an easy task. First off, people who experience them in different ways. Some people have migraines daily others maybe once a month, which creates a wide range to work in. On top of this, they seem to be brought on by countless activities like dehydration, alcohol, physical exertion, allergies, and sleep deprivation among others. However, blood flow is not increased during the headache, rather the circulation remains normal or in some cases is reduced. These findings have lead people to assume that the main culprit may be a nervous system disorder. • 15. Void And The Void Architecture performs the new formulation and reproduction by formatting actions in order to accommodate to the existing environment. The basic practice of the architectural space is to reform the object of architecture on the site. People have built a natural environment for themselves by starting the first shelter since they are in the world. The built environment that undergoes continually a transformation and change has evolved to be closely associated with people and the lives of people. At this point, the relationship between architectural and urban voids came into prominence. So, what is the void? How is it designed? And how can the void contact its inside and outside? or What is the potential of voids? Many theorists, architects, and philosophers have asked these questions for over two thousand year but answers are still uncertain. As a general thing, the void is about absence instead of existence, or about nothing instead of a thing. However, it may be said that void as emptiness is defined with a mutual understanding. Void as a conceptual topic could provide the inspiration for art and architecture. The existence of voids could reach to individuals and society thanks to art and architectural works. Now any one can take a jab at what they think a hate crime is but in the article Understanding Hate Crime Statutes and Building Towards a Better System in Texas the author supports us with his definition of a what is a hate crime a hate crime, at its basic level is an attack upon the person or property of an individual motivated by hatred of a characteristic of that person, such as race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity (Gillis 199). Now that the definition gives us clarity on what exactly labeled onto what exactly is considered a hate crime. For example, did you know that if someone vandalizes a synagogue and they write something offensive to the Followers of that particular religion that will be considered a hate crime because of the person is motivated by hatred towards the Followers (Gillis 199). You may have your own perspective on a particular group but if you so happen to put your hands on the person to harm them because of your belief it becomes a hate crime. In its basic form of what is a hate crime Gillis uses the definition so that the reader aware hate crime criteria. There were no knowledge as to what was motivated them to do so. One thing for sure according to Larner, Sean Riley Caught up to one of the victims and remorselessly told her I m going to kill you, you black bitch . Impossibility within the Fantasy realm in Alphabet of Thorn and the Year of Our War As Farah Mendelsohn stated, the most obvious construction of fantasy in literature and art is the presence of the impossible and the unexplainable. In my perspective, both McKillip and Swainston brilliantly expand our perception of the impossible by introducing us to different elements of fantasy such as time travel in Alphabet of Thorn and an alternate reality known as the Shift in The Year of Our War. The fantasy genre encourages us to keep an open mind as we delve into other worlds; simply put, fantasy shows the readers how to perceive the world differently. While both of these novels clearly create a delineation of the impossible through an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s important to note that even though the audience is aware of the impossibility of giant, flesh devouring insects, we are persuaded that this world of fantasy is indeed real. After analyzing both novels, one of the most significant similarities between the two would be the author s intentional system of rules placed in the story in order to explain how the world operated. In the Year of Our War, after god left the Fourlands, the Empire created a circle of 50 immortals to fight the war (93). Mortals and immortals coexisted peacefully because of the hierarchal power system placed upon the Empire and the King; not to mention their common enemy of swarming insects attacking all living beings. On the other hand, the Alphabet of Thorn provided a history of the 12 Crowns of Raine and the individual roles associated with the floating school, Royal Library etc. The authors, in their own writing style, have revealed to us what is possible and considered the norm within their worlds. This makes it easier for us to differentiate the reality from the impossible when those fantasy elements are introduced later on in the plotline. For instance, in our mundane world, we perceive magic to be impossible, but it s very much real in Raine. What deems to be impossible in one world becomes possible in another story. Petrus Reflected the End of Inequality and Racial Segregation in Post Apartheid South Africa The setting of a novel is a crucial element that leads to the reader s understanding of any political, social, or economical factors that the characters experience. We are first introduced to Petrus when David, the protagonist, moves to South Africa to live with his daughter Lucy. We would think that Petrus, or as he introduced himself to David the gardener or dog man I look after the dogs and I work in the garden. Yes...I am the gardener and the dog man. He reflects for a moment. The dog man, he repeats, savouring the phrase. (Coetzee 64) would play a minor, insignificant character, later develops a key role in the novel. Petrus becomes an important example of change for blacks in South Africa after Apartheid. Disgrace, a novel by J. M. Coetzee, reflects the ending of racial segregation and inequality in post apartheid South Africa. Disgrace is a novel that takes place in South Africa during post apartheid. As Loxley mentions, The inequalities inherent in apartheid, and the weakness of the role South Africa plays in the world economy, have combined to generate political and economic instability (Loxley 1). This is slowly shifted throughout the novel when we trace the actions of Petrus and his development in the novel. Not only is inequality a factor, but as Fantu mentions, South Africa is a very unequal society, consisting of a highly developed, first world sector on the one hand and an underdeveloped, third world sector on the other. Racial and class differences generally coincide; most members of the wealthy minority are white, and most members of the poor majority are black (Fantu 1). This shift is underlyingly noticeable when David arrives to South Africa and is greeted by Petrus. Social status is an essential element in this novel. The social status of the characters in this novel is frequently addressed. Through Petrus, we can see a shift not only socially, but throughout the community and country. We learn Lucy owns a piece of land that both her and Petrus work on, and that Petrus purchased a piece of it from Lucy He got a Land Affairs grant earlier this year, enough to buy a hectare and a bit from ... • 20. The Determination To Obtain Vengeance In Hamlet And Ridley... The Determination to Obtain Vengeance Depending on the perspective of a situation, revenge can be ethical to someone, but it can also be immoral to someone else. In William Shakespeare s Hamlet and Ridley Scott s Gladiator, the protagonists experience grief and are both driven to seek revenge after the deaths of loved ones, which leads to their tragic downfall. Hamlet and Maximus are ambitious in avenging the murder of their family members as they obsessively want to execute Claudius and Commodus. However, their strong desire causes them to delay obtaining vengeance as they must be careful with the strategies they use since they could affect themselves. Both characters are quick to believe the killer is someone that has done harm to them in the past eliciting them to be enraged. King Hamlet s Ghost returns to the castle encountering Hamlet for the first time as he reveals that Claudius, Denmark s new King and Hamlet s uncle, is his murderer and in addition tells him that he must take revenge for his death. Hamlet without hesitation trusts what the ghost is telling him, Now to my word. / It is Adieu, adieu, remember me. / I have sworn t (Shakespeare 1.5.110 112). Classic pluralist see power held by a variety of groups in society; some of which are more powerful than others. The diverse and competing interests of different groups is the basis for a democratic equilibrium. These groups compete with each other to maximise their influence. No one group or class is able to dominate all other groups because of checks and balances built into a democratic system. Elite theory involves the idea that rather than there being a simple plurality of competing groups in society, there are instead a series of competing elites and powerful groups who are able to impose their will and dominate the rest of society. social class theory is based off the ideas of Karl Marx. These frameworks have set the foundation for most perspectives in political sociology. There are two main sociological perspectives. In many cases, the growth of the cysts causes the kidneys to become enlarged which can lead to kidney failure. There are three types of polycystic kidney disease: autosomal dominant (ADPKD), autosomal recessive (ARPKD), and acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD). Even though both of these countries are thousands of miles and multiple continents away, the manner in which the U.S. intervened in both of these countries is strikingly similar. While communism was the root of both of these countries interventions, the MNR was not nearly as dangerous of a communist threat as the North Korean government. The communistic goals of the oppressive North Korean government were a much greater threat to democracy than the primarily economic goals that the MNR had. This is why war was imminent in Korea but in Bolivia it remained relatively peaceful. While both countries received financial and provisional aid from the United States, the reasoning behind this aid was different. In Bolivia the United States gave this aid in an attempt to stabilize their government and keep making economic profit from the tin industry in Bolivia. While aid in Korea was less for United States gain and more for the retention of democracy. Economically speaking, the case of Bolivia and South Korea turned out to have an extremely different impact. The aid that was given to Bolivia, in turn ruined their economy and drove them into deeper and deeper reliance upon the United States. In South Korea however, the South Korean people were able to capitalize on the aid they were given and turn it into a highly functional and profiting society. This is possibly because the Bolivians were never able to diversify their countries source of revenue as South Korea was able to, with it coming primarily from tin and oil. The ancient Egyptians and the Greeks are known for contributing the most towards civilization. However, each possessed similar and different qualities that came together to help shape our world today. The Egyptian civilization was very fortunate in terms that their environment was very dependable unlike Greece. The annual flooding of the Nile river renewed the soil and brought about fertile black soil that in turn resulted in them being the richest agricultural region. Egyptians figured out that the land beyond the river was inhabitable and the environment was not dependable. Realizing this they built their civilization around the Nile river and used the flooding to their advantage. However, unlike the Egyptians who settled around the river the Greeks built many cities upon mountain strongholds. Fatula s writing draws the devotional discussion of the Trinity as the present day effect of the Trinitarian faith is called to support attempts to articulate and live the Trinitarian mystery. The Trinity in a human s life is the content of our definition of our human meaning and for an infinite gift: love. Each of us has a desire for achieving meaning, for love, and for wholeness. Fatula in her book develops the study of the divine persons and states the importance of understanding what it is to be truly a person of both human and divine potential. In the Christian faith triune God is very significant. Christian is Trinitarian, describing Jesus as the one whom the Father anoints (christos) with the Spirit so that the Spirit may anoint our own lives (16). Christians confess Jesus as the risen Lord of the universe, but is proclaimed to be inseparable from the one who sent him, the one Jesus knew intimately as Abba, or dear Father. The ultimate paradox of Christianity is Jesus. Having Jesus at its very center disclosed as the source, the meaning, and the definitive answer to all of human longings causes this ultimate paradox.
