2. (Description of your music video themes)
-With uk hip hop, there is no strong correlation with the lyrics and the video, it normally tends to be conceptual.
-Its normally in urban locations with lots or random shots so for my video I’m going to shoot a load of clips with a main guy (the focus
point) rapping to the song in different locations, and every so often I’m going to have shots with the main guy, fooling abou t with his
mates.
The shots tend to have a fish eye lens of so it may be beneficial having one for my music video.
-The shots tend to have the main guys friends/ ‘gang’ in the background supporting the main guy and wanting to get on camera
-The shots which are on screen normally tend to be around 5-10 seconds long, possible to represent the fats paced flow that the artist is
spitting at.
-The main guy normally tends to be in different outfits relation to the location they are in (matching the fashion at the loca tion)
Also they normally have weird and obscure out fits that have no relevance to the music or lyrics
-there are also a lot of vinyl records with vinyl players and music based equipment in some shots as the main performer is rapping
-just slightly slowed down shots of main guy outside a car and looks to the camera and pulls a weird ‘unexpected’ face
-shots of the public toilets inside maybe
-maybe a basic makeshift bedroom in the pool house, Jonah finding an empty beer can on the floor and sipping whatever is left from it,
crushing it up and throwing it

he is out side the window. The
reason why I chose this location is
because this is the most
dangerous shot that I want to
shoot, so I had chosen a quiet
road and it would be the safest
place to perform this shot.

3 shots here. 1 at the front of
the pub and 2 in the bar.

11. Another place where I would like to shoot would be a block of
flats. This would be ideal to shoot because it would fit in with
the whole style of my music video (urban, council location).
This would be possible in Southampton near the motorway.
I would get some shots of Jonah rapping outside, with a low
shot (so you can see the block behind) and also one in the stair
well.
If for some reason I couldn’t go to Southampton I would shoot
it in Bournemouth because that’s also a very urban location that
is near.

12. This is the alley way that I was going
to shoot the drug deal gone wrong
scene. This is a dark alley way and
would suit the whole feel that I’m
trying to go for with this shot.
