There are some things however that it could have done a lot better. Like for example, it could
have shown some scenes a little longer. If I am someone who has never seen a Fast and Furious
movie, I wouldn t know what going on in the movie. They showed some very good parts but they

they cut very fast and very often. I didn t like how it cut to black screen. The transitions didn t

The Exxon Valdez Oil spill in 1989 had ran into Bligh Reef in Prince William Sounds in Alaska;
11 million gallons of crude oil was spilled and eventually covered 1,000 miles of coastline. Many
animals were affected and were killed such as sea otters and sea birds. The spill had a
detrimental effect on the food chain. Over time the sea water started to convert the oil into an
emulsion that looks like mousse. This emulsion is very difficult to remove from the sea water.
The oil spill had spread southwest because of harsh winds. It spread to the Alaska Peninsula
from Prince William Sound about 750km (470 miles) in trajectory. The clean up efforts came
from the U.S. Coast Guard, Exxon, and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.
The effects are still seen today on the shore line of Eleanor Island, Alaska where if you dig a
hole in the ground oil will seep into the hole. Animals were found covered in oil and were
imminently tended to be cleaned and taken care of until the water was clean enough for them to
live. Many otters and birds were found dead and covered in oil. Clean up involved power washing
rocks on the shore line. Support vessels also came to the aid of the Exxon ship. Oil was also

innovation of the people of Sumer demonstrates to use in the modern day that the ancient world
was not as primitive as we once thought. Through examining the intricacies of Sumerian society, the
Sumerian city of Uruk, and the legacy the Sumercivilization had left behind. We can better
appreciate and understand Sumerians and their accomplishments. Ancient Sumer was a civilization
that is estimated to have formed around the year 4,500 BC. in the region most often referred too as
Mesopotamia. Around this time, nomadic headers in this region started to congregate around the
two major rivers in the area: the Trigs and Euphrates Rivers. The reason for this, being that the
soil from the nearby rivers were very fertile, making it great for farming, giving the area its other
name, the Fertile Crescent. The first settlers of what would become Sumer were not only to sustain
themselves through farming and agriculture, but have enough surplus to accommodate a large
population. This in turn led to the creation of large city states along the two rivers and the start of
Sumerian society. Using long irrigation canals and ditches were dug to maintain a reliable source

year, if tolerably nursed, will increase to twenty eight pounds (804). By giving infants a set of
instructions and guidelines, in analogy to livestock, Swift tries to make it seem as if he has no

commodities, it is ironic because his intentions are to actually explain that the English view the

Duty To Death The story of Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen shows us a multitude of issues, whether the
readers think the piece as a basic form of literature or believe that the scripture shows the issues
and lies or the fighting facts of injustice in the text. The constant fight between free will and duty in
this story triumphs the characters of Mrs. Alving and Pastor Manders as they convene over what
they think is right and what they are bound to do, even as the smaller character of Regine slightly
deals with the same issue.
Duty comes up in repeated cycles throughout the script of Ghosts, and the roles people are bound
to in their life relays to the role they act in society. The duty of Mrs. Alving is no soft tale, as we
are told of her husband s horrid affairs. The wife and mother of her nature and setting is duty
bound to protect her husband s reputation, no matter how unsavory he is, and to sacrifice
everything for her son. In return, the son must love his mother. In a way, we question the duty
of the mother and ask whether or not it was right of Mrs. Alving to cover her husband s actions
from her son, Osvald. Despite Ibsen s opinion of conspiracy, the cover up and how he writes the
script as if he supports the hiding and the sacrifice, the reader on their own must make a choice in
the matter. For Mrs. Alving to know her motherly duty and protect her son during his young years
