This document provides a review of soft computing techniques that have been applied in materials engineering, with a focus on sheet metals. It discusses that soft computing methods like artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, and other evolutionary algorithms have shown promising results when applied to problems in materials design, modeling properties, process optimization and control. The document reviews several studies that have used these techniques for materials proportion prediction, properties modeling, optimization and other applications. However, it also notes that the interface between materials engineering and intelligent systems techniques is still unclear and more work needs to be done to formalize the methodology.

In stamping operations, sheet metal is formed into a desired s hape by pressing it in a hydraulic or mechanical press between suitably shaped dies. As a predominant manufacturing pr ocess, sheet metal forming has been widely used for the production of automobiles, aircraft, home appliance s,beverage cans and many other industrial and commercial products. Given that the press force itsel f is an integral of the contact pressure distribution over the die and binder contact interfaces,it is concei vable that defects may be better identified by analyzing the contact pressure distribution directly at the tooling-work piece interface.
BUILDING MATERIALS ASSESSMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION BASED ON FIGURE OF...IAEME Publication
Sustainability assessment and Engineering design in buildings call for effective decision
making in respect of material selection and construction methodology. A good sustainable
solution involves choosing most suitable material and construction techniques that produce
optimum results in terms of sustainability. Due to several choices available in material
selection for construction, there is a need for a tool which can assist the designer in making the
right choice of materials. Figure of Merit (FoM), as a tool is proposed here to meet this
requirement. FoM is a unique dimensionless parameter derived by integrating two critical
properties from Engineering and Economics. Engineering properties are Modulus of Elasticity
and Density of materials. Economic factors are unit cost of material and construction cost per
unit area. Concept of FoM was applied and study carried out on commonly used building
materials and graphs drawn in comparison with embodied energy, embodied carbon and
material density values. Outcome of the study indicated, “Lower the Figure of Merit; better is
the suitability of building materials in sustainable construction.” As an illustration, FoM
concept was also applied to one of the subsystems of a building namely formwork and found to
be in consistency with the findings. Hence, it is suggested that Figure of Merit can be used as a
quantitative tool for selection of materials

Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems or processes. While industrial engineering is a traditional and longstanding engineering discipline subject to and eligible for professional engineering licensure in most jurisdictions, its underlying concepts overlap considerably with certain business oriented disciplines such as operations management. Depending on the subspecialties involved, industrial engineering may also be known as, or overlap with, operations management, management science, operations research, systems engineering, management engineering, manufacturing engineering, ergonomics or human factors engineering, safety engineering, or others, depending on the viewpoint or motives of the user. Design and Analysis of Ceiling Cable Holder Baseijtsrd
Injection moulds are classified into two types based on runner design i.e. Cold runner moulds and Runner less moulds i.e. hot runner moulds. In cold runner moulds, for multi cavity and multi point injection moulds, there is wreckage of material in runner area. Also wastage of material is more than component weight. To overcome the above problem, the technique used is hot Runner moulds. Hot runner mould is one of the improved manufacturing techniques for multi cavity type moulds. These types of moulds are commonly used for large production rate. While producing plastic components using normal standard multi cavity mould, we are facing the problems like partial filling, cavities in components, less product quality, injection pressure and temperature reduction and war page etc. Thus we are redesigning the holder base by doing some modification in and this will be beneficial for our using purpose. We are making design of the component, mould flow analysis using software Solid works. The final cost of public school building projects, like other construction projects, is unknown
to the owner till the account closure. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) is used in an attempt to
predict the final cost of two story (12 classes) school projects under lowest bid system of award
before work starts. A database of (65) school projects records completed in (2007-2012) are used to
develop and verify the ANN model. Based on expert opinions, nine out of eleven parameters are
considered to have the most significant impact on the magnitude of final cost. Hence they are used as
model inputs while the output of the model is going to be the final cost (FC). These parameters are;
accepted bid price, average bid price, estimated cost, contractor rank, supervising engineer
experience, project location, number of bidders, year of contracting, and contractual duration. It was
found that ANN has the ability to predict the final cost for school projects with very good degree of
accuracy having a coefficient of correlation (R) of (91%), and an average accuracy percentage of
(99.98%).
Pairing Based Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem for Message AuthenticationIJTET Journal
Abstract— Elliptical curve cryptography (ECC) is a public key encryption technique based on elliptic curve theory that can be used to create faster, smaller, and more efficient cryptographic keys. ECC generates keys through the properties of the elliptic curve equation instead of the traditional method of generation as the product of very large prime numbers. Because ECC helps to establish equivalent security with lower computing power and battery resource usage, it is becoming widely used for mobile applications. Recently the bilinear pairing such as Weil Pairing or Tate Pairing on elliptic curves and hyper elliptic curves has been found various applications in cryptography. Several identity-based cryptosystems using bilinear pairings of elliptic curves or hyper elliptic curves were presented. Blind signature and ring signature are very useful to provide the user’s anonymity and the signer’s privacy. The proposed method focuses an ID-based ring signature scheme which is based on the pairings with elliptic curve cryptography. The proposed method is used to reduce the number of computation of the pairing for the verification of the id based signature and also decoding of the id based public key cryptosystems with authentication by factor of 2.
In this paper a novel intelligent soft computing based cryptographic technique based on synchronization of
two chaotic systems (CSCT) between sender and receiver has been proposed to generate session key using
Pecora and Caroll (PC) method. Chaotic system has some unique features like sensitive to initial
conditions, topologically mixing; and dense periodic orbits. By nature, the Lorenz system is very sensitive
to initial conditions meaning that the error between attacker and receiver is going to grow exponentially if
there is a very slight difference between their initial conditions. All these features make chaotic system as
good alternatives for session key generation. In the proposed CSCT few parameters ( , b , r , x1 ,y2 and z2 )
are being exchanged between sender and receiver. Some of the parameter which takes major roles to form
the session key does not get transmitted via public channel, sender keeps these parameters secret. This way
of handling parameter passing mechanism prevents any kind of attacks during exchange of parameters like
sniffing, spoofing or phishing.
Performance enhancement of shunt active power filter with fuzzy and hysteresi...Asoka Technologies
This paper proposes fuzzy and hysteresis controllers based three phase Shunt Active Power Filter
for current harmonic compensation to improve the performance of 3ɸ supply system feeding
non- linear loads. The Shunt Active Power Filter is used to eliminate current harmonics. The dc
link control strategy is based on the fuzzy logic controller. Gating pulses for the Shunt Active
Filter is generated using Hysteresis current controller based Pulse width modulation technique.
The proposed model is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulation results show that the
dynamic behavior is better than the conventional Proportional- Integral (PI) controller and is
found to be more robust for changes in load.
PI and fuzzy logic controllers for shunt active power filterISA Interchange
This paper presents a shunt Active Power Filter (APF) for power quality improvements in terms of harmonics and reactive power compensation in the distribution network. The compensation process is based only on source current extraction that reduces the number of sensors as well as its complexity. A Proportional Integral (PI) or Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is used to extract the required reference current from the distorted line-current, and this controls the DC-side capacitor voltage of the inverter. The shunt APF is implemented with PWM-current controlled Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) and the switching patterns are generated through a novel Adaptive-Fuzzy Hysteresis Current Controller (A-F-HCC). The proposed adaptive-fuzzy-HCC is compared with fixed-HCC and adaptive-HCC techniques and the superior features of this novel approach are established. The FLC based shunt APF system is validated through extensive simulation for diode-rectifier/R–L loads.
Applying soft computing techniques to corporate mobile security systemsPaloma De Las Cuevas
Corporate workers increasingly use their own devices for work purposes, in a trend that has come to be called the "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) philosophy and companies are starting to include it in their policies. For this reason, corporate security systems need to be redefined and adapted, by the corporate Information Technology (IT) department, to these emerging behaviours. This work proposes applying soft-computing techniques, in order to help the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of a company (in charge of the IT department) to improve the
security policies.
The actions performed be company workers under a BYOD situation will be treated as events: an action or set of actions yielding to a response. Some of those events might cause a non compliance with some corporate policies, and then it would be necessary to define a set of security rules (action, consequence). Furthermore, the processing of the extracted knowledge will allow the rules to be adapted.

Its application was successfully proved and the validity achieved by minimizing the harmonics and improving PF as summarized in Table 2. Consequently, the supply current is almost pure sinusoidal. THD observed was fund to be within the prescribed limits of 5% as recommended by IEEE-519 standard.

Suitability of Composite Material for Flywheel Analysis IJMER
The paper deals with analysis of flywheel in which comparison of flywheel existing material
and test material are done. There must be proper design and analysis of flywheel in order to meet the
necessity to smooth out enormous oscillations in velocity that occur during a cycle of i.c.engine in a
flywheel. So here some finite element analysis tools are used for design and analysis purpose. Then results
are compared with existing material.
SPRING BACK PREDICTION OF SHEET METAL IN DEEP DRAWING PROCESSIAEME Publication
Spring back is one of the most significant phenomenon that affect the accurateness of the sheet metal parts. In order to obtain fixed tolerances for the formed parts it is highly recommended to use such process parameters/tool geometry that allow a considerably diminishing of the spring back amount. A Finite Element (FE) model is developed for the 2- D numerical simulation of sheet metal deep drawing process (Parametric Analysis) by using HYPERFORM with the appropriate material properties (anisotropic material) and simplifies boundary conditions
Fsw optimization for dissimilar aluminium alloys (Presentation)Dr. Bikram Jit Singh
The basic principle of FSW involves simultaneous application of pressure and relative motion, generally in a rotational mode, between the components to be joined. From the available literature, it has been observed that the effect of welding parameters on desired characteristics was determined by taking into consideration one parameter at a time or by using conventional methods like, One Factor at a Time (OFAT) technique. So without ignoring the limitations of earlier researches, the main focus in this study has been kept on welding of dissimilar alloys (specifically AA6061 and AA5086) by using Design of Experiments (DoE) which is quite rarely used Multi-Factor at a Time (MFAT) technique. Therefore, the ultimate objective of the work is to optimize critical to process parameters (CPPs) of FSW process for achieving mechanical characteristics within ranges. This book contains quite rare information as far as FSW is concerned.
Smart Prediction Of Surface Finishing Quality Of En-8 Work Piece By Ann ModelIJERA Editor
Turning is a material removal process a subtractive form of machining which is used to create parts of circular
or rotational form of desired geometry/shape by removing unwanted material. Accuracy of any process depends
on involvement of operational variables. The operating parameters that contribute to turning process are Cutting
speed, Depth of cut, Feed rate. Vibrations, tool life, tool wear, surface finish and cutting forces etc are also in
direct relation with values selected for process parameters. So to improve the efficiency of process and quality
of the product it is necessary to control the process parameters. We have considered surface roughness the
parameters with main focus as it dictates the aesthetics and sometimes ergonomical characteristics of the
product. In this work a neural network is created using feed forward back propagation technique for simulation
of the process using the Matlab Neural network toolbox. So with assurance of accuracy of the predictive

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
