Educational Technology 1 course provided learners with an awareness and appreciation of both traditional and modern educational technology tools. It also oriented learners towards the dangers technology can bring to society, such as dehumanization, ideological propaganda, pornography, exploitation, and financial fraud. The course served to: 1) introduce learners to the pervasiveness of educational technology; 2) demonstrate how technology can be used as a teaching-learning medium in schools; 3) enhance human learning through technology; and 4) impart skills in planning, designing, using, and evaluating technology-enriched learning.
