A Good Conclusion For An Essay
Crafting a compelling conclusion for an essay can be a challenging task that requires careful
consideration and thoughtful reflection. The conclusion serves as the final impression that
readers will take away from your essay, making it a crucial element of your writing. Summarizing
your main points, reiterating your thesis, and leaving a lasting impact on the audience are key
objectives in this section.
One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between being concise and comprehensive. You
need to revisit the core arguments without being repetitive and offer new insights or perspectives
that leave a lasting impression. Crafting a conclusion that feels both satisfying and thought-
provoking requires finesse and a deep understanding of the essay's purpose.
Another challenge is avoiding the temptation to introduce new information. A good conclusion
should synthesize existing ideas and provide closure rather than introducing novel concepts. This
requires a keen awareness of the boundaries set by your introduction and body paragraphs.
Moreover, the tone of the conclusion must align with the overall mood of the essay. It should
leave a lasting emotional impact, whether it's through a poignant reflection, a call to action, or a
thought-provoking question. Striking the right emotional chord requires a nuanced understanding
of your audience and the subject matter.
In essence, writing a good conclusion demands a mastery of various elements – from
rhetorical strategies to emotional resonance. It's the culmination of your entire essay, making it
both a challenging and rewarding aspect of the writing process.

One of the major health concern are chronic conditions. Some of these chronic
conditions include, high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. Some of
these chronic conditions can be eliminated with a healthier diet and a safe exercise
regimen. In Carnasie about 29.6 to 33.2% of adults were told by health
professionals that they have high blood pressure. About 12.1 to 18.1% of adults
were told that they had diabetes. Additionally, 31.9 to 37.4% of adults were told by
health professionals that they had high cholesterol. The percentage of adults who
have had their cholesterol checked within the past five years was 83 to
The Pearl Character Analysis
Would A Pearl Change Your LIFE To BE HARD As A MACHINE,Crazy As An
ANIMAL,OR Would You Continue Your Life As Normal? The Pearl written by
John Steinbeck tells a rampageous story of a person who has found The Pearl Of
The World and which it changes him throughout the story which can make him
different. What can make him different are these 3 things which are a man, a
machine and a animal. These three descriptions talk about Kino who changes
throughout the story. As the story starts Kino is a man and as he ends he is a
machine. The definition of Man is that he takes care of his family and would do
anything for his family. In the book the Pearl it tells on page 27 us that Kino is a
brave man, and a fierce man;he is right. From his courage we may all profit. These
were proud of Kino. This quote states that Kino is brave and would do anything
good for his family and people see him as a brave fierce man and that they would
profit good from him. The second quote states on page 9 Hooked his foot in the
loop on his rock and his worked quickly, tearing the oysters loose, some singly,
others in clusters. This quote means that he worked very hard for searching a pearl
to save his son Coyotito who has been stung by a scorpion because he does not
have enough money to pay for the doctor. The third quote says on page 7 He looked
down in wonder at his knuckles and at the blood that flowed down between his
fingers This quote states that Kino was mad at the doctor because he would not
Summary Of The Prince By Niccolo Machiavelli
Sustaining Power In 1513, Niccolo Machiavelli wrote The Prince, in which he
discussed the characteristics that qualify a leader to have control of his people.
Machiavelli claimed that a leader ought to associate with vices that have a positive
impact to his rulings to avoid embarrassment, thus building a strong leadership.
This claim is policy because it delivers the message of ruling. Machiavelli s
audiences are former rulers or anyone aspiring to become a leader. Machiavelli
uses logos appeal to support his claim. One example of his logos support is when
he states that a prince, or anyone seeking power, should ignore peoples opinions.
Machiavelli uses this logo to pass the message that being so good to others and
giving them clemency can result negative in reign. This is a concise fact on how
to rule during those eras, where there were no laws and orders in the society, yet
the leaders needed to uphold their reign. Another logo applied in the passage is
when he states that sometimes it is better to create fear on people than for them to
love their leader. Some people are imposters or hard to convince, thus creating fear,
and being brutal to them will be easier for a leader to control. Through the
application of such logic, the author is able to provide that sometimes you have to
be tough on the people to impose your rules. Machiavelli uses pathos to support his
claim. An example of pathos is when he states that when a leader is with his army,
he has to avoid being cruel. By doing this, he can be able to keep his army with
him. This is an example of pathos since it creates compassion so they can be united
and will not make anyone feel attacked or not needed. This statement helps
convince the former rulers, or aspiring to be, that on some occasions you have to
back away from being feared and lean towards compassion. It will allow your people
to trust you. Another example of pathos is when Machiavelli states that friendship
cannot be relied on though situations, especially when that friendship was won by
favors. This support is ethos because it creates fear and makes people aware that they
cannot trust one another. This helps convince the leaders that it is important to be
aware that most of the time people

Thesis Statement Of Sweatshops
The Benefits Behind Sweatshops
Thesis statement: Sweatshops, when left to operate without government intervention,
are the most efficient way of out poverty.
Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe
the government needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no
exception. In my research, I have found that what people see as the cause of injustice
in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is responsible for lifting
people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of governmentregulation will fail to
solve the problem. The audience I am writing for is a diverse group of peers who
are concerned with social justice though they may have different solutions and beliefs
about the topic. My goal in this draft is to expand their knowledge and show them the
benefits of not interfering with the free market.

The Recording Of Sound Recorded By Edouard Leon Scott
De...
Since its infancy during the nineteenth century, the art of sound recording has been
profoundly affected in countless ways by inventors, scientists, and sound engineers.
From the invention of the phonograph to the computers of today, they have all made
contributions to the foundation of sound recording. Going forward, technologists in
today s computer age are becoming more and more creative. There has even been
proof that some researchers have had a hand in altering the course of history. With
that in mind, the following questions need to be addressed:
How was the recording of sound discovered?
What technologies were implemented to improve the science?
How has today s digital age affected sound recording?
Was history really altered?
Is there any debate?
How was the recording of sound discovered?
According to history, the first sound was recorded mechanically by Г‰douard
LГ©on Scott de Martinville (de Martinville) in 1857 on a machine called the
phonautograph (and). His device would record sound by using a vibrating
membrane that was attached to a pen (stylus) which drew a line in correspondence
to sound waves onto a smoked paper roll attached to a rotating drum (and). The
sounds were generated by vibrating diaphragm and a series of levers that moved
the diaphragm from side to side (and). Even though de Martinville was able to
duplicate sound, his machine was not able to play it back right after it was recorded
(and). He made his machine this way because his intensions
Reflection Of The Last Supper
The Last Supper The Last Supper was painted by da Vinci between 1495 and 1498.
It is 15 feet wide by 29 feet long and it is not in a museum, it is in a church. This
painting depicts the last supper that was celebrated by Jesus and his disciples, as
told in the Gospel of John, and the reactions given by each disciple when Jesusreveals
to them that one of them would betray him. Starting from the left and moving to right
the each individual figure is as follows:
Furthest to the left is Bartholomew. Next to him is James, son of Alphaeus, and
Andrew. These three men appear to be surprised. Next to Andrew is Judas Iscariot,
Peter and John who formed the next group of three. Judas is holding a small bag in
his right hand which could mean two things; either as a symbol of silver that was
given to him as a payment for betraying Jesus, or could be a reference of him as the
treasurer of the twelve disciples. Peter, who is next to Judas, looks angry and he is
holding a knife and this could in a reference where Jesus was arrested and he cut off
one of the guard s ears, which was later restored by Jesus. And then there is the
youngest apostle John. In the center ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Da Vinci s Last Supper feature a new perspective which is called vanishing point
perspective. Vanishing point perspective is a type of linear perspective where lines
are meant to converge at a single point in a painting. By using vanishing point
perspective, two dimensional paintings are given an appearance of having three
dimensions.
He spent a lot of time with the concept of multiple perspectives. Before that the early
discovery of perspective had one focal point, and he has managed to move the focal

Mack Monologue
Leaning against the far wall in the corner of the dim lit room, I waited patiently for
Mack to notice my albeit sudden arrival but arrival nonetheless. The soft cotton of
my blouse clung to the rough paint job that the wall decorated in many years ago.
Splinters already were worming their way to nestle themselves further into my
skin. As laughter danced and sprung from all around eagerly intertwining with the
stagnant stench of tobacco and hormonal drunken filled lust. The pungent odour of
vomit was too lurking in mixed with the sharp rap of alcohol, those two always
were friends. The swift smashing of one of Mack s precious lager glasses quickly
turned my focus away from the drum of the music and towards the eruption that
would surely follow. Get your fucking hands off my girl! A large rather portly
fellow in his mid forties barked, rather pathetically into the other man s face while
the skin on his face slowly turned red and his veins been to bulge, his beady eyes
narrowing down on the offending character that sat next to what one can only
assume is his girl . Luckily for us, the lanky lad only put his hands up and... Show

Theoretical Integration Theory
I chose Integrated theories best describe crime. It is an act of combining two or more
sets of logically interrelated propositions into a larger set of interrelated propositions
in order to provide a more comprehensive explanation of a particular phenomenon.
Theoretical integration is more in relation to integrating theories and not the concepts.
Integration theories are also explanatory in purpose and must result in greater or more
comprehensive understanding otherwise theoretical integration has not been
achieved. The concepts and central propositions from two or more prior existing

anticipation of failure (strain theory). Still other individuals enter adolescence with
strong conventional bonds, experience and anticipate success, and maintain strong
conventional bonds throughout adolescence. With weak bonding, individuals
become more susceptible to the development of external bonds to unconventional,
deviant, or delinquent peers. To the extent that a person associates with others who
engage in problem behavior such problem alcohol use, problem and illicit drug use,
theft, violence, and other illegal behavior), one has more opportunity to learn about
opportunities for problem behavior, ways of engaging in problem behavior, and
reasons or rationalizations for problem behavior. As a result, individuals with low
levels of bonding are more likely to develop unconventional or delinquent bonding,
especially in the peers. The influences of strain and social control thus operate,
according to this theory more indirectly through their influences on peer group
bonding, although for some specific types of problem behavior the influences of
strain and bonding may be more direct. (pg.
The Boeing 747 s Impact On Contemporary Globalization
The Boeing 747 s Impact on Contemporary Globalization
This paper addresses the international impacts of Boeing s 747 commercial airliner
on modern globalization. The 747 is one of the most revolutionary and famous
airliners today, it could fit as much as 570 passengers and could carry as much as 154
tons of cargo. This massive airliner is a symbol of the progress in civil aviation and
signifies a new era in travel. This paper discusses who made this aircraft, the trade
and financial influence of creating this aircraft and how this aircraft reflects the
global division of labor.
To begin with, Webster s dictionary defines globalizationas the development of an
increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow
of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets. although most people
would agree that this is a good definition. Stager defines the term globalization as a
set of social processes that are thought to transform our present social condition into
one of globality. (stager, p.8) Stager says that we use the term globality to signify a
social condition characterized by the existence of global economic, political, cultural,
and environmental interconnections and flows that make many of the currently
existing borders and boundaries irrelevant. (stager, p.7) The 747 s impact on
globality has interlocked nations and their people economically, and socially. The
introduction of the 747 further allowed peoples of nations to travel

Colonial America
During 1607 1753, Colonial America was founded. Starting on 1492, when
Christopher Columbus discovered land beyond the England, people were launched
into a new life. A group of puritans departed from England to escape the growing
stress of the English government. Searching for freedom, in both religion and
government, they sailed towards America. Their main goal was not only to start e
new life, but also to convert the savages; Indians. With this move they experienced
many difficulties. Upon starting a new life, they had to learn a new way of political
life, social life, educational life, and above all religious lives.

It became to be known as the little Bible because religious instruction was
integrated into the grammar lessons. The eighty page book taught the alphabet as
well as moral and spiritual principles. After graduating from high school, you could
go to college. However, in order to be accepted, there were strict requirements that
one had to follow. Every student should be able to read, construe, and parse Tully,
Virgil, and the Greek NT; and to write true Latin in prose and to understand
common arithmetic. Nevertheless, not only will they have to accomplish all
these, but they also have to live a religious, blameless life in God. Every student
was forced to constantly pray in the school hallways every morning and evening;
as well as read a passage of scripture. The professors were to take turns preaching
from God s Word in the halls. Additionally, if any student were to act rudely or
profane the Sabbath, they would be harshly disciplined. Unfortunately, the
government governed even their schools strictly. Colonial America s social life
was probably the most interesting aspect of their new lives. They had two main
laws by which to live by; The Moral Law and the Law of Grace. According to the
Moral Law, every man was to love his neighbor, and help in times of want or
distress. However the Law of Grace, calls men to put a difference between Christians
and others.
Low-Carb Diets Proven to be Effective Essay
So you want to go on a diet and lose weight? The low carb diet is a great option, you
ll lose more weight, and faster than other diets! The health benefits of a low carb diet
significantly outweigh the negatives.
First, let s look at some of the background information of low carb diets. Also, we
will look at a couple different diets and what their different phases are. A low carb
diet is one that restricts the intake of carbohydrates for the purpose of losing
weight. Foods high in carbs, like sugar, bread, and pasta, are often replaced with
foods containing a higher percentage of fats and protein, such as meat, fish, and
eggs. Other foods low in carbs, which include some vegetables and fruits, are also
acceptable. It is also important to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the reasons for this is that low carb diets tend to get rid of excess water from
the body. Because they lower insulin levels, the kidneys start shedding excess
sodium, leading to rapid weight loss in the first week or two. Low carb diets can
actually lower blood sugar and insulin levels while helping to treat diabetes,
Gunnars states, by cutting carbohydrates, you remove the need for a lot of insulin.
Both blood sugars and insulin go way down. The best way to lower blood sugar and
insulin levels is to reduce carbohydrate consumption. This is also a very effective
way to treat and possibly even reverse type II diabetes. Another great health benefit to
going on a low carb diet is that it will also lower your blood pressure, which lowers
your chances of getting a stroke or heart attack. Low carb diets are very effective at
lowering blood triglycerides, which are fat molecules in the blood and a well known
risk factor for heart disease, says Gunnars, and this is because carb consumption
elevates blood triglyceride levels. HDL and LDL are referred to the two types of
cholesterol; HDL is considered good, and LDL bad. HDL carries cholesterol away
from the body and to the liver, where it can be reused or excreted. One of the best
ways to increase HDL levels is to eat fat... and low carb diets include a lot of fat, says
Gunnars. So by increasing the
Richard I Biography
Richard the I is a famous King of England that was alive in the 12th century, and
one of the earliest monarchs of England. He was the Great Great Grandson of
William the Conqueror(Brundage, 10). He was a member of the House of
Angevin, which was composed of him, his father, and his brother John(Brundage,
12). He is a relatively famous King of England, renowned for his fighting skills,
and nickname Richard Coeur de Lion translated Richard the Lionheart . Richard
was born on the 8th of September, 1157 in Oxford, England(Brundage, 9). He was
the son of King Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine(Brundage, 9). He had 4
legitimate brothers, William IX(Count of Poitiers), Henry the Young King,
Geoffrey II(Duke of Brittany), and John(King of England)(Brundage, 10). William
IX died before Richard was born. Richard grew up in Europe with his mother. He
most likely did not know very much English and spoke mostly French(Brundage,
21). At the age of 14, he became the Duke of Aquitaine, an area of land in the
southwest of France controlled by his mother. Richard learnt most of his battle
skills in Aquitaine, and this is really where he became the warrior we see later on
in his life. ADD THESIS. When considering the effect that Richard may have had on

Richard, as we have seen, was a great warrior. This was probably one of the major
reasons why we still remember him today. He was given the name Richard the
Lionheart as a testament to his fighting skills. The name Richard the Lionheart
probably captured many people s attentions throughout history, because of its fear
and power associated with such a name. The name also allows for a romanticization
of the Kings of England, because the name Lionheart could easily be thought of as a
brave man in shining armour heading out to save a
Path Integration for Navigation
Path Integration Forms of spatial sensitivity among organisms are exceedingly wide
ranging. Spatial sensitivity among lower animals has been studied in its role in
navigation. Many of these animals exhibit extraordinary navigational capacities.
Amoebae have light sensitivities that lead them to liquid areas that serve their
chemical needs. Crickets locate mates using sound. Path integration, or dead
reckoning, is one of the four types of navigation. I begin by distinguishing the
differences among the four types of navigation. I continue by explaining in more
detail the second type of navigation: path integration. Next I explain why one might
think that certain types of path integration are not representational. Last I show why
path integration doesn t depend on perceptual constancies. Path integration is one of
the four types of navigation. The other three are beaconing, landmark use, and map
use. Organism s can travel toward or away from a source of stimulation. Beaconing,
or homing, is an organism s movement toward a target. That movement is in response
to a stimulation that derives from the target s location. Beaconing allows organisms
to move in directions that are favorable to them. For example, salmon travel in the
ocean for years. After a couple years, they return to their home streams in straight a
line. This is a result of them responding to certain hormonal changes. Many organisms
use another type of navigation called landmark use. Landmark use
Ultrasound Imaging
Ultrasound imaging including fetal echocardiograms have only been used for about
forty years.1 Although this technology is newer, they have learned much between
the time that it was developed and now. With this newer technology, there are many
benefits, but there are also risks, which we need to know how to limit. We need to
know what this technology is, what the benefits and risks are, and how we are to
limit those risks. To completely understand the benefits and risks, we need to know
what this technology does for us. Before all else, how does ultrasoundwork? The U.S.
Drug Administration states that, Ultrasound imaging uses high frequency sound

In the article 3D/4D sonography any safety problems , there was a report about a
twenty minute exposure of 3.5 megahertz to pregnant rats, which concluded in
damage to learning and memory, reduced mRNA, NMDA, and more.3 They found
that this could have been caused by heat through the attachment of the probe. A
way to reduce this occurrence can be by placing thirty seven degree celsius
stabilized water in between the probe and the animal.3 Although this happened in a
rat, we have to take precautions for pregnant women. We need to be able to monitor
the thermal and mechanical indexes below one and have shorter exposure times to
about thirty minutes or less.3 The ultrasound waves can produce heat to the tissues
to some extent, that is why you do not want to over expose. Also, the ultrasound
equipment should be handled by a professional ultrasound technologist. According
to the Radiologic Society of North America in their article 3D and 4D Fetal
Ultrasound Advances Spark Research, Create Challenges , there are gatherings for
expectant parents called ultrasound parties , which are very similar to keepsake
images/videos that are done without medical indication.7 Ultrasound parties include
the technologist coming to the expectant parents house to show the fetal
movements to all their guests. This means the probe will be on the mother s skin
for hours. As radiologist and members of the health care team, we want to stick to a
principle called ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). This means we want
everything to be as low as possible while obtaining a proper image including a
smaller exposure. Although ultrasound waves may not harm the fetus as much as x
rays do, we still want to protect the unborn child as much as possible. This can be
achieved by reducing the heat getting to the tissues, shorter exposure times (around
thirty minutes

accomplished on patients in order to improve quality of life. One of the areas of the
health care system that has developed the most is the dental field. Now a days, the
diversity of dental procedures performed on people of different ages is extraordinary.
Dentists have also improved, not only their techniques thanks to the advances in
technology and new equipment that allows them to perform all the different
procedures, but as well as on their training. Dentists today, thanks to that intensive
training; are capable of screening for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dental treatment requires a certain amount of time and it is difficult to keep a child
still. Under these circumstances dentists will often recommend some form of
pharmacological sedation. For the most part, dental procedures are ambulatory;
meaning patients will go home shortly after the procedure is done. To facilitate this,
dentists use oral sedation or intranasal sedation instead of general anesthesia. General
anesthesia not only will significantly increase the cost of treatment, but also the risk
as well. The use of oral sedation or intranasal sedation represents an advantage for
dentists, who can perform a treatment that without sedation could not be
accomplished. On the contrary, drug response from patients represents a major risk
that can not be ignored. Due to the great risk of advanced reactions in patients after
receiving a drug or a combination of drugs, researchers are constantly working on
finding better and safer sedative agents. In this paper I will discuss the findings on
several research papers in regards to safer and efficient sedatives for dental
procedures on children.
Oral sedation is the simplest and also the most convenient method used to manage
uncooperative patients. The reason behind this is its easy way of administration
(oral) and the lack of injections, which is one of the major fears in children.
Sedatives could be also administered in its gas form, but that would
Three Religions and Three Holy Cities
Southwest Asia is home to a variety of cultures as well as religions. It has an
significant past with three major religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. It is
quite remarkable that Southwest Asia has been a holy place for all three, and
although it causes turmoil it is important to understand the three religions and their
customs. Such information may help us not to judge so quickly or perhaps to grow
in our knowledge about the world. Hopefully this will help everyone to have a wider
view of the world than just the town they reside in or even the country they live in.
Islam Islam is the religion founded from the teachings of the prophet
Muhammad. It is often depicted as a violent and irrational religion by the United
States. This is not entirely true and although some of its customs may seem hostile
there is always a reason for them. We must learn to respect the opinions of
everyone and make correct choices for ourselves accordingly. Islam is represented
by a crescent moon and a star. The moon is depicted as waxing or waning. Islam
has Three Major Holy cities: Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem. The symbolic essence
of the religious holidays of Islam are quite large and are celebrated slightly different
according to your denomination. For example, if you are a Sunni Muslim then you
would not participate in the act of beating yourself and cutting yourself as a Shi ite
Muslim would practice on the holy day of Ashura. Other popular Islamic holidays
include Maulid, the
Natural Slavery In Benito Cereno
After reading the story of Benito Cereno a main idea that is apparent would be
natural slavery. In the story, Captain Delano discovers a ship that would appear to
be ran by Benito Cereno. However, Cereno was not in charge due to the slave revolt
against his ship. With assuming that the Africans on the ship were slaves, Delano
was fooled multiply times into believing Cereno was in charge. This exploits the idea
of natural slavery. With Delano already assuming the African s on the ship were
slaves, he is justifying the idea that he naturally thought they were slaves.
This main idea can be shared with Aristotle. Aristotle believed that there would
always be a higher power over people (Jowett). In Delano s case, he assumed the
higher power was Cereno due to his race. However, With Babo and the other former
slaves revolting, they were showing that they were more superior than Cereno by
using force. This would prove Aristotle s point that there would always be a higher
power in society.
The situation that occurred in Benito Cereno could also happen under Lycurgus s
regime. In his regime, all the slaves of Sparta were Helots. With that being said, one
could assume that a Helot was a slave even if he ... Show more content on

An unconscious cognitive bias is created by living in a certain environment where
people are portrayed to do certain things. During the presidential campaign, President
Elect Trump made some comments on how illegal immigrants are rapist, thief s, and
other things. Also when one is to think about an illegal immigrant, they tend to think
of someone from Central America. That assumption alone is an unconscious
cognitive bias, but with the comments of our President Elect, another unconscious
cognitive bias could be produced. In Benito Cereno, Captain Delano thinking that the
Africans were slaves would be his unconscious cognitive
Myosin And Muscle Contraction Research Paper
These muscles requires actin filaments and myosin filaments interacting with each
other in order for movement. [1] The myosin are aligned between the actin and
muscle contraction is brought through the sliding of the two filaments. The myosin
head can tightly bind to the place on the actin molecule but generally there are other
proteins which prevent the binding called tropomyosin (form a filament which semi
curve around the myosinwhere the actinwould possibly bind) and troponin (variety of
different proteins).[2] Naturally ATP has bounded to the myosin head and when this
happens the energy is slit into ADP and phosphate, however both would still remain
attached to myosin. The tropomyosin is coving the binding place for myosin to

Rodeo Is The Way Of Life
We all ride for the same purpose, to win, but its those that ride with their heart and
soul and leave everything in the arena that truly win in the end, no matter the
outcome of the final placing. Its not the person on the horse s back, or the cowboy
on a bodacious bull, that wins. It s the horse and the bull themselves that are the
champions. There are misconceptions when it comes to the sport of rodeo. Despite
what PETA and animal activists think, rodeo is the way of life for some people
and nothing can change that. We take pride in our animals, the livestock we use,
and wouldn t dream on attentionally mistreating these wonderful creatures. People
who deliberately chose to plan their recreation around the same animals they spend
long hours working with developed rodeo. Rodeo was designed with thorough
knowledge and respect of the animal s capabilities and limitations. Who would
know a horses or bulls capability better than someone that works with them
everyday? We wouldn t use or ride an animal that couldn t perform the task needed
to get the job done. These animals were built for work. They were not put on this
earth to stand in a field and become lawn ornaments. Most rodeo contestants have a
great deal of respect and love for these animals they work with and it s a huge insult
to those people who say they are recklessly endangering the lives of these animals.
PETA has been pretty lose with their accusations of physical abuse to rodeo animals

meant to be representative of human agony. The suffering is clearly depicted through
the faces of the statue; furrowed eyebrows, twisted and contorted mouths, facial
features portraying raw fear, and the bodies of the statue straining and struggling

Secondly, these shops profitability is very much affected by fierce pressure on
margins imposed by powerful suppliers. Consequently, due to this downturn, the
weaker manufacturers exit the industry and the remaining manufacturers gain market
shares and become more powerful which create a vicious circle.
An option to turn these threats into opportunities could be to manage to set up
agreements with smaller shoe manufacturers. The manufacturers activity would be
sustain by producing some on order shoes while the independent retails would benefit
from both higher margins and better opportunity to differentiate the offer.
However, in order to be successful, this project requires advanced shoes development
and design knowledge and strong trust relationships between the entities.

Themes like loyalty, disguise, and hubris are still relevant in modern literature and
society. However, one aspect of Homer s epic may have been more of an aspiration
than a true reflection of the world around him. Women in ancient Greece were
relegated to the margins, while women in The Odyssey were featured as important,
multifaceted characters. The Odyssey would not be truly feminist by today s
standards; yet, modern feminist movements may have also found their earliest
feminist ideologies in Homer, as he reduced the inequality women faced in his
writing. Homer has shown characteristics of an ancient Greek feminist in The
Odyssey, as he displays women as intelligent, puts women in leadership positions, and
places Odysseus in traditionally female
The Department Of Health And Human Services
1. Describe the various missions of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has the mission of
enhancing the health and well being of all Americans. HHS is the U.S. government s
principal agency for protecting the health of Americans and is responsible for
providing essential human services for all and especially for those who are least able
to help themselves. The Department manages programs that cover all spectrums of
activities that impact healthcare, patient safety, and public health. HHS, though its
programs and partnerships, provide health cover to more than 100 million people
through Medicare and Medicaid, promote patient safety and health care quality in
health care settings, protects vulnerable individuals and communities from poor
health treatment, and leverages health information technology to improve the
quality of care for all (HHS, 2015). Though it s programming and other activities,
HHS works closely with state, local, and federal agencies to strengthen health care,
advance scientific knowledge, advance health care and safety, and ensure
transparency, accountability and effectiveness of all HHS programs. HHS s overall
mission is to help American s live healthy lives by providing millions of children,
families, and seniors with access to high quality health care, affordable child care,
and by pushing the boundaries of how we diagnose and treat disease.

Outside the Jacobsen Gallery which features the LIFT exhibition, are photos of a
sculpture called The Harp created by August Savage (a native of Green Cove Springs,
Florida) in 1939 for the New York World s Fair. Approximately 16 feet tall, Savage
s sculpture, titled The Harp, was strongly influenced by James Weldon Johnson s
song, Lift Ev ry Voice and Sing.
The personified instrument, using twelve African American youth singers in
various heights symbolized the strings of the harp. The hand of God formed the
sounding board, and the foot pedal was represented by a kneeling man holding
music. The sculpture was celebrated as one of Savage s major works; however,
with a lack of finances to cast it into bronze, the sculpture was destroyed at the end of
the Fair.
Despite the fact that The Harp does not exist in its final form, its legacy continues
through numerous photographs and souvenir reproductions. I was really impressed
with the sculpture and the history of its
Literacy Reflection Paper
During this photovoice assignment, I became enlightened on the literary culture at
the school in which I am conducting my observation. I toured the school s hallways
and my clinical supervisor s classroom as if it were a museum deliberately designed
for literacy. I closely examined many of the school s bulletin boards, posters,
bookshelves, and classrooms with the sole purpose of unearthing the culture of
literacyin the elementary school. The many steps I took to and fro each classroom
and hallway taking pictures of every literarily related item I could find were not in
vain. In fact, walking around the school and digitally capturing every bit of literacy
culture allowed me to identify not only the strengths and the weaknesses of the
literacy customs incorporated by the school, but it also provided me with literacy
strategies I could integrate into my own lesson plan when I become an educator.
The gallery walk I took throughout the school and my clinical supervisor s
classroom provided me with many pictures worth a thousand words; however, only
six photos stood out to me: Jat, the Little Blue Rat, Books Everywhere, Group
Reading, Three a Day with ELA, Mr. Spaceman, and Feeling Cozy with Phonics.
When one thinks of literacy, it is easy to assume that it simply consists of only
reading; however, literacy is reading and writing combined. Jat, the Little Blue Rat,
and Mr. Spaceman were two of my favorite photos because they visually illustrate the
true definition of literacy,
The Pros And Cons Of Shareholders
Shareholders of the company have ultimate control of the company. They can appoint
and remove directors who run the business and are also responsible for its
management of the company.
A general phenomenon about the corporations is that shareholders must accept
majority rule in a company. Shareholders who own majority of the shares, feel that
they have right to make majority of all decision because they have more at stake.
Minority shareholder can also participate in company affairs by checking majority
shareholders power, and promote transparency, ethical practices and good
governance (OECD, 2004) but they are often regarded as an unnecessary burden a
dead weight in corporation (Shkolnikov, 2006)

Alone On The Yukon Trail
The man in this story has had a long and difficult journey, filled with emotional and
physical pain. The only company he had was a native dog who followed him
everywhere he went. The cold air of the Yukon trail presented a major problem for
the man as he fought off frost bite. Throughout the story he struggled against nature a
lot. With ups and downs along the way, the weather was always against him as he
thought of ways to survive. In the end, nature won.
Alone on the Yukontrail, there was a man climbing in negative 50 degree weather.
He did not believe it when they said it would be that cold. As the temperature
dropped below 50 degrees, the man realized it was quite cold. The only thing to keep
him warm was fire. He climbs for many hours, trying to get back to camp and to the
boys. However right now he was alone with a dog. The only reason the dog stuck by
him was so the man could make fire. The dog had learned about fire, and it wanted
fire. however the only way it could obtain fire is if the man made it. No matter what

Legalization Of Prostitution In Nevada
Prostitution was made illegal in most states in 1910 to 1915 due to the influence of
the Woman s Christian Temperance Union. In the United States, Nevada is the only
state that allows some legal prostitution. Nevada has eight counties that have active
brothels, and prostitution outside the licensed brothels is illegal throughout Nevada.
There is no specific reason why there is some legal prostitutionin Nevada. However,
it is suggested that there was a long history of fighting and protesting for brothels and
hence, prostitution became legal in some rural areas of Nevada. According to the
U.S. and State Prostitution Arrests, 2001 2010 article, California is the state that has

One of them must be an age restriction. Prostitution employers and their clients
cannot be underage that means they need to be at least 18 years of age in order to
participate in this activity. Prostitution employers need to have STI, STD, and other
health tests before going into the business. It should be required that they need to be
free from transmitted disease and are in perfect health condition. They also need to
take these test regularly after entering this business. The same thing will be applied
to the clients: they will need to show proof that they are free from STI, STD and
other transmitted diseases before having any sexual intercourse with a prostitute. If
prostitution became legal, prostitution employers should be subjected to equal
employment opportunity laws, which states that it is illegal to discriminate
against any employee or job applicant because of race, color, religion, national
origin, sex, physical or mental disability, or age. However, I think like all other
jobs, employers are not required to hire all types of people because they might not
fit to be a prostitute. Wages and the methods of paying will depend on the
prostitute and their employer to decide. They can get pay based on the clients
ratings or by the commission. There should also be hazard pay and a limit of how
many clients a prostitute can serve a day to protect them from overworking. A
prostitute should also be required to get training or schooling because he/she will
need to learn how to serve a customer, how to prevent pregnancy, how to act
professionally if something unexpected happens, and other skills that are useful for
the job. A prostitute should be able to turn down a client that are rude, vulgar, racist,
etc.. or they can discuss with their employer and client to raise the price. There should
be specific laws and regulations that protect the prostitute s

The main characters Mrs. Loisel in The Necklace and the grandmother in A Good

Although Mrs. Lisle s and the grandmother s penalties were different, it is still fair

Mrs. Loisel and the grandmother are also similar in their reasons for keeping quiet.
They were both too embarrassed to say anything when they found out they had made
a mistake. Mrs. Loisel was too embarrassed to tell her friend that she had lost the

The grandmother also kept her secret quiet due to embarrassment. When she

Analysis Of The Film Cold Mountain
The movie Cold Mountain has many talking points; I will be going over a few of
them in this paper. I will first be going over desertion and the effect it had on the
Confederate side during the Civil War. Desertion played a huge role is the war,
even more than I originally thought. Then, I will be diving into how the Civil War
affected family life, as the men went off to fight, leaving the woman and kids at
home take care of the homes. Lastly I will be arguing how the film Cold Mountain
is a pretty historically accurate film, using great detail with the props and storyline,
to fully immerse viewers to life in the 1860s. Desertion during the Civil War plagued
both sides, but was detrimental to the weaker South. In Cold Mountain, Inman, who
was a Confederate Soldier, deserts the army after being shot in the neck during a
skirmish with the North. His goal was to get home to Ada, a woman from Cold
Mountain who was waiting for his return. This kind of abandonment was not
uncommon during the lengthy war, with around 10 to 15 percent of Confederate
Soldiers deserting throughout the war. The 44th Virginia Regiment had the highest
desertion rate during the war of, nearly 30 percent. Many things caused this, such as:
faulty equipment, spoiled food, and unresponsive leadership. Many of the Soldiers
were not happy with the Confederate governments polices, but did not come right out
and say it. The Conscription Act, which required all males between 18 and 35 to

Edward Elgar Research Paper
The life of an artist can be a difficult one. Many artists produce work for their own
enjoyment or because it is their passion, but some are lucky enough to get paid for
their work, enough to make it a legitimate source of income. Edward Elgar, a
composer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was one of these artists. Although
he composed music for enjoyment, he was popular enough in his day to make a
living from his music, and his reputation continued to grow after his death, making
his work a valued aspect of British culture today. Even though he was in the limelight
during his lifetime, Elgar could put his heart and soul into his music, which

great men of our time (288). This was after the First World War when Elgar s work
was seen as inspiring patriotism. Much of the literature on Elgar s work notes its
contrast to other music at the time, which may explain why it took so long for
Elgar to become popular. In 1957, musician Ralph Vaughan Williams called Elgar s
work, quite new without being eccentric when referencing a performance of the
Enigma Variations, originally performed in 1899 (Williams et al. 302). In 1917,
Daniel Gregory Mason said Elgar s work is an escape from habit to initiative, from
formality to eloquence, from insularity to cosmopolitanism (289). Elgar lacked the
formal training of many of his contemporaries, and this seems to have given him a
greater freedom in his composition. Mason wrote, But the important point is that
however much... he may fall back into the formula of his school, he has at his best
left them far behind (289). Sir Ernest Bullock noted that much of his music is
distinguished by a characteristic individuality (Williams et al. 306). Most of his
training instead came from experience with music and instruments. As a result, critics
often describe Elgar s work as having orchestral

The main cause of the incident was the late transfer of the MIC from the Tank 610
which was use to produce pesticide to the SEVIN unit when they realized that water
had entered the storage tank. During the time range from 12.15 am to 12.30am on
3rd December 1984, the investigation team had concluded that there was a transfer

an attempt to remove water from the Tank 610 when they knew that the safety valves

pressure of the Tank 610 was too high to get control. Perhaps, this poor incident
happened due to the technological, organization and human errors. The safety and

focus. It may also help you strengthen the muscles in your legs and core. In this
pose, the lower body provides the support for the upper body as the body stands with
grace and strength.
HOW TO
From Mountain pose, bend the right knee shifting all the weight into the left leg. Turn
the right knee to the right wall resting the heel against the left leg.
Look down at the floor and stare at one point. Slowly slide the right foot up the left
leg, only as high up as you can maintain your balance. When you are balanced here,
slowly bring the palms together, prayer position in front of the heart.
Keep staring at your focal point on the floor. Keep the left leg strong pressing ... Show

The arms are in an H position, or the palms are together with the thumbs crossed, or
the fingers are interlaced with the index finger pointed up. The fingers are reaching
up and the shoulders are down and back.
Breathe and hold for 4 8 breaths.
To release: slowly exhale the arms down and then release the legs back into mountain.
Repeat on the other side.
BENEFITS
Tree pose increases balance, focus, memory and concentration and strengthens the
ankles and knees. Tree Pose stretches the thighs, groins, torso, and shoulders. It builds
strength in the ankles and calves, and tones the abdominal muscles. The pose also
helps to remedy flat feet and is therapeutic for sciatica.
TIPS
Take your time. Thoroughly review the instructions for Mountain Pose before
practicing Tree Pose. It provides the structural foundation for this pose.
Balance your weight entirely across your standing foot Find alignment in your hips,
tailbone, pelvis, and belly; and then in your collarbones, shoulder blades, arms, and
neck. Extend the pose through the crown of your head. When you are ready, you can
then raise your arms overhead.
Never rest the foot of your raised leg directly on your knee or at the side of your knee
A Trip On The Earth s Sister Planet
Synopsis: Astronauts are travelling to Venus. This is the first human mission ever
to visit Earth s sister planet. They must survive a many month journey in cramped
quarters, and that isn t even the difficult part. It is necessary for them survive on
the surface of Venus as well. The second planet in our Solar System is not a
hospitable place. The crew will have to face the challenges of Venus s high winds
and violent storms, the crushing air pressure, and more. Using the Russian Venera
missions as a guide, the scientists planned what they hope will be a safe mission for
the astronauts to travel there and back safely. My sci fi story will follow the
perspective of one of the Hesperis crew members on a journey though the inner
solar system. In order to develop an idea of how the astronauts will be able to land
and live on Venus safely, we will need to study the missions to Venus. From 1961
1983 Russia developed the Venera missions, which traveled to Venus [2]. At this
point in time, Russia has been the only country to land spacecraft on the planet,
though none of the probes lasted especially long. In 1978, the United States
launched the Pioneer Venus 2 probe. It made it into Venus s atmosphere and
survived long enough to reach 110 km above the surface, but this was the closest
the United States ever got to landing on Venus [1]. Russia accomplished a total of
sixteen Venera missions [2]. We will not be focusing on Venera 1 or 2, because these
did not make it into Venus s

COMMODITY EXCHANGES AROUND THE WORLD
By the UNCTAD Secretariat в€
—
Virtually all of the futures exchanges in the United States date from the late
nineteenth or early twentieth century. They all started as commodity exchanges, but
since the early 1980s trade in financial futures has become more and more important
for most of them. Until 1998, the Chicago Board of Trade used to be the world=s
largest futures exchange, but is now the second largest place with a volume of 255
million contracts in 1999 (11 per cent of total world volume). The Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, the world=s fourth largest, accounted for about 8.5 per cent of
world volume, while the New York Mercantile Exchange (former NYMEX and
COMEX), the world=s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of the products traded are agricultural (with some processed products traded
in a few countries), but the Government of Colombia is looking at the possibility of
introducing a commodity exchange for emeralds. The trading possibilities offered
by the exchanges vary widely. Most provide a forum for the trade in physical
commodities, but some also enable forward trading; in Colombia, the exchange
also trades the Acredit@ part of warehouse receipts (in Latin America, warehouse
receipts consist of two parts, one which gives rights to the commodities, and one
which is used for credit purposes). The creation of a commodity futures exchange
was proposed by a major private sector group in Chile in the late 1980s; the
proposed exchange would trade in domestic food grains and in fishmeal, but plans
for it have not yet been finalised. In Paraguay, the Government considered the
possibilities for the introduction of an exchange. Progress towards the introduction
of an exchange is quite advanced in the Dominican Republic; it is planned to
introduce warehouse receipt trading for beans and coffee. In Venezuela, a group
already active in trading warehouse receipts over the counter is also working on the
creation of an exchange.

The list of possible conditions an orthopedic surgeon can treat is endless. An
orthopedic surgeon can treat many musculoskeletal conditions without surgery, by
using medications, exercise, and other rehabilitative therapies. However, an
orthopedic surgeon may recommend surgical treatment if the patient does not
respond to other treatments. The types of surgeries orthopedic surgeons perform
include arthroscopy, fusion, internal fixation, joint replacement, osteotomy, and
soft tissue repair. Knowing the certain classes one must take in high school assists
in eventually being able to learn the job tasks of an orthopedic surgeon. For one to

Beryl Markham s West With The Night
Beryl Markham was an outstanding role model for the women (and men) of her
time. In her book West with the Night, she wrote about the great feats she
accomplished in her lifetime; nonetheless, she managed to maintain a humble and
caring demeanor. Some of Beryl s positive traits such as her compassion,
responsibility, and quick thinking are shown clearly through her various
experiences with the wildlife of Africa. We are introduced to Beryl s empathetic
side when reading about a dramatic encounter from her youth with a seemingly
domesticated lion named Paddy. Paddy attacked Beryl and faced the harsh, but
fair consequence of being caged for the rest of his life. When speaking about this
experience, Beryl says He was a good lion. He had done what he could about being
a tame lion (66). It wouldn t have been abnormal for Beryl to be upset at the lion,
but this was not her reaction. She accepted that this was how an average lion behaved
and even pitied the poor... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aside from the countless boundaries Beryl overcame in her accomplishments as a
pilot, she also served as an apprentice to her father in the breeding, training, and
round the clock care of race horses. One of her many assignments as his assistant
was to help with the birthing of a colt. This task proved her resilience and
reliability as she not only stayed strong in the climactic experience, but helped the
laboring mare deliver her foal. This is clear from the praise she receives from her
father for a job well done. As she writes in her autobiography a fine job of work and
a fine colt. Shall I reward you or coquette or both? (127). Beryl s reward for her
hard work was that she got to keep the foal, which only further demonstrated her
accountability. It showed true responsibility that she continued to care for the colt
even with the many tiring steps each task contained. Her hard work paid off as she
raised a strong willed race
Interview Questions for Labor Relations Office Manager
Labor Relations Office Manager Human Resources Department Interview
The objective of this work in writing is to conduct an interview with a labor relations
office manager in the HR department of a company. For this purpose, the following
questions were posed and answers provided.
Question What is the role of the labor relations manager and their staff in regards to
the industrial relations labor pogrom?
Answer When a collective bargaining agreement is up for negotiation, labor relations
specialists prepare information for management to use during negotiation, which
requires familiarity with economic and wage data as well as extensive knowledge of
labor law and collective bargaining trends. The labor relations staff interprets and
administers the contract with respect to grievances, wages and salaries, employee
welfare, health care, pensions, union and management practices, and other
contractual stipulations. As union membership is continuing to decline in most
industries, industrial relations personnel are working more with employees who are
not members of a labor union. (Heathfield, 2011)
Question What is the domain of the labor relations manager in the company?
Answer The labor relations role is typically making provision of advise to
managers in regards to labor relations issues that arise in their areas of
responsibility. The workforce in this company is comprised by employees
represented by unions and other employees who are not union represented as well as

Leonato And Antonio Foil
In almost every book there are character foils, even if there are no antagonists. In the
book Much Ado About Nothing, there are many romances, fights, and hatred
between characters. The couples of Benedick and Beatrice, and Claudio and Hero all
describe a love between them, and the very same for hatred. Much ado about nothing
is about all of the romance that can go through rough patches. In Much Ado About
Nothing by William Shakespeare, Antonio is a foil for Leonato because of their
opinions, emotions, and thoughts.
The opinions of Antonio and Leonato differ by many standards of their own. This
is happening during the wedding of Hero and Claudio and it happens after the
shaming. An example of this is when Leonato said Hence from her, Let her die
(Shakespeare 70). When Leonato says this he is at a wedding for his daughter hero,

During this quote Leonato is mad at Borachio for his bad behavior. For instance,
when Leonato implies This naughty man shall face to face be brought to Margaret,
who, I believe, was pack d in all this wrong (Shakespeare 91). Leonato says this
because he had once thought that the actions of margaret had made claudio to think
that she was a very bad person. This quote states to Leonato that others shall suffer
too. On the other hand Antonio claims Yet bend not all the harm upon yourself. Make
those that do offend you suffer too (Shakespeare 82). Antonio says this because he
thinks that the people who shame or offend leonatos family should suffer along with
him. Antonio and Leonato are oils of each other because their thoughts are very
separate that s because one is undeniably angry and the other is showing forgiveness.
In all the thoughts of Antonio and Leonato are different from each other based on the

Compare And Contrast Karl Shapiro And John Donne
Different attitudes that Karl Shapiro and john Donne and perspective towards death
Introduction
Karl Shapiro and John Donne are poets who view death in a different manner
looking at to the main ideas of their poems Auto wreck and death be not proud. These
two poems share the same theme which is mortality and the main ideas are different
since Donne s poem denies the fact that death has power within people and Shapiro
seems confused by the unpredictableness of death by car accident. In real life we
also have people who view death in a different manner and they are encouraged by
their own beliefs. The Christians believe that they are going to live an eternal life
after death and they are readily waiting for death to take them away from the misery
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He perceived death in a Christian manner by revealing the fact that we will all
wake up from the dead to live the eternal life, so death is not frightening because if
it looks like a sleep, then one day we are going to wake up from this sleep and it is a
lowly slave that depends on fate. The poet is very arrogant since he believes that
people cannot be defeated by this death and it cannot kill anyone.
Shapiro thinks that death is frightening and he is asking himself that why do we
have to die in a cruel manner like having an accident while john criticizes death by
saying death is a servant to many horrible masters such as fate and accident and he
is mocking death by saying sleeping pill can make us sleep better that death. The
poet chose to stick to his Christian believe that even if we die now, one day we are
going to wake up from the dead and live eternal live where we are going to live
peacefully without earthly conflicts. To support his point, the quote from the bible
revelation 14:13 then I heard a voice from heaven saying blessed are the dead who
die in the lord from now on, they rest from their labour for their deeds will follow
them this statement support John Donne s point of saying death is not as powerful as
it thinks and it is some

Summary Of The Defense Of Abortion By Judith Jarvis
Thomson
In her article, The Defense of Abortion , Judith Jarvis Thomson states an analogy
involving a violinist. She first states that you are allowed to unplug yourself in the
violinist scenario, second abortion after rape is analogous to the violinist scenario,
therefore, you should be allowed to unplug yourself and be allowed to abort after
rape (Chwang, Abortionslide 12). In this paper, I will argue that abortion is morally
acceptable even if the fetusis considered a person. This paper will criticize premise
two from the traditional argument against abortion string that killing innocent
persons is wrong (Chwang, Abortion slide 9). Following the violinist analogy will be
an objection to this analogy and my respons to them. One of the... Show more content

She uses examples involving self defense like being trapped in a house with a
child who is growing very rapidly (Chwang, Abortion slide 10). For instance, if a
girl was pregnant and later found out her baby had fetal congenital birth defects
that are incompatible with life and will result in death shortly after the baby was
born or severely affect the quality of life for her child. Instead of carrying this baby
to full term and delivering the baby that would result in the child s death or poor life
outcome; her best option would most likely be abortion. To give her child the best
outcome, even if it meant terminating the pregnancy and killing the fetus. You could
say that this outcome would be better than having a child who is in pain and suffers
continuously. This child would not have any quality of life other than being in pain
and being transferred in and out of hospitals all their lives. Thomson uses a similar
example with a woman that has a cardiac condition, resulting in her death if she
carries her baby to term (Thomson, 50). With Thomson s violinist analogy she shows
that although disconnecting him would result in death, it would not be morally
incorrect. This argument can be applied to a woman s pregnancy, suggesting that if
you accept the prior statement and can find no reasonable difference between the
violinist and the fetus occupying the woman s body, then you should accept that
abortion can be acceptable. Thomson
The Harmful Myths Of Asian Superiority, By Ronald Takaki
Asian Superiority The stereotype addressing the topic of Asians being smarter than
other races has been around since the 1950 s. This stereotype started as a result of
immigrants assimilating into the US. During this time Asians had a considerable
higher success rate in school compared to Hispanics and Blacks. This is not the case
because in places such as Chinatown where poverty runs rampant Asian immigrants
have a difficult time staying above the poverty line. In the essay, The Harmful Myths
of Asian Superiority, published by the New York Times the author, Ronald Takaki,
addresses the reason why Asian people are considered successful and model
minorities by using logic to persuade his audience and statistical information to...

This is why in Chinatown there are many family owned businesses. Takaki uses
logic to simplify and rationalize why Asian families might make more than
Caucasian families. In this passage Takaki uses statistics to boost his credibility.
An incident of this is, Twenty five percent of the people in New York City s
Chinatown lived below the poverty level in 1980... (Takaki). Takaki uses this
statistic to show solid evidence surrounding this topic. If Takaki cited a credible
source from where this statistic came from it would have increased his credibility
but since Takaki is a professor at the University of California Berkeley then this
information should be correct. Takaki states that most korean shopkeepers actually
earn, 17,000 to 35,000 a year (Takaki). It is explained that this money is earned
through hard work and long work hours. It is also explained that many Korean
immigrants cannot become shopkeepers and instead are forced to work in grocery
stores, factories, and janitors. Through this statistic it is shown that many Korean
immigrants cannot get a well paying job and instead take a low income job.
Therefore any money made is through hard physical labor and many working hours.
Through this article Takaki fails to incorporate emotional appeal. Takaki attempts to
be relatable to his audience by

Analysis Of Saving Private Ryan
As a student of history, particularly military history, I appreciate war movies but
with one proviso understanding the viewpoint that is present. Various perspectives
on whether the US continues to be a hegemonic power have been present since the
end of the Cold War. These have been stated by observers who see the rise of China
as the next superpower. In American movies, however especially war movies, the
Americans always seen to be going through Europe, killing waves of evil Germans
and being the protector of the useless French in which one of the best known
examples is Saving Private Ryan.
Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 Steven Spielberg directed, award winning film. The
film won 5 Oscars and in 2014 was selected for preservation in the National Film
Registry by the Library of Congress, being deemed culturally, historically, or
aesthetically significant. ( Saving Private Ryan , 2017) Yet, these awards are not
what interests me in Saving Private Ryan: it s the intense half hour sequence at the
film s beginning which immerses the viewer into the Omaha Beach landing in
Normandy.
In Saving Private Ryan, the film begins with a false vision which is the closest a
movie has gotten to real war: being killed by mines, mortars and machine guns
firing three times faster than those of the First World War. This grand action and
brutally true depiction is ruined straight after as the viewer follows a squad of
American Rangers. They embark of a stupidly patriotic mission to find a
Analyzing Same-Sex Marriage
Imagine if you had a child love someone who has same sex and wanted you to
accept their love for each other by being at their wedding. Would you attend the
wedding? Some would say yes; however, others would say no. Why would they say
No ? Because marriage has been traditionally defined as a religious and legal
commitment between a man and a woman. As we know, same sex marriagehas been a
prominent issue that has so many arguments not just in the United States, but
around the world over many years now. There is absolutely nothing more
controversial than same sex marriage in gay rights topic. Everyone has different
opinions about same sex marriage whether it should be legal or not. We now have
to consider two aspects that are moral and religious. These two form a fundamental
belief that same sex couples and opposite sex couples are different. Based on the
definition of marriage, the view of religion, bad effects to children, and the lifestyle
that should not be encouraged; therefore, the government should not legalize the
same sex marriage. Same sex marriage is also used as a synonym for gay marriage.
It is the union between two people of the same sex in a marital relationship. Same
sex marriage are obtaining acceptance in some countries, but some others still do not
give permission to gay couples to marry. In 2001, Netherlands was the first country
that legalized same sex marriage. In the United States, Massachusetts was the first
state that legalized same sex marriage in
MS-13 And Barrio 18 Analysis
Both MS 13 and Barrio 18 created a lot of crimes in the Los Angles area, once gang
members had been charged of several crimes, the United States government decided
to deport them back to their country of origin. In the 90 s the U.S. brought airplanes
full of gang members that the country no longer wanted to be responsible for and
instead brought the crimeover to El Salvador. During this time period, El Salvador
was finishing the civil war and the government had basically started all over, the
national police force was barely forming meaning that they lacked control over their
citizens and over these thousands of gangmembers who were entering the country
(Garsd, J., 2015). This situation left a gap for other groups to take control over the
system and so they did.

A Good Conclusion For An Essay

  • 1. A Good Conclusion For An Essay Crafting a compelling conclusion for an essay can be a challenging task that requires careful consideration and thoughtful reflection. The conclusion serves as the final impression that readers will take away from your essay, making it a crucial element of your writing. Summarizing your main points, reiterating your thesis, and leaving a lasting impact on the audience are key objectives in this section. One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between being concise and comprehensive. You need to revisit the core arguments without being repetitive and offer new insights or perspectives that leave a lasting impression. Crafting a conclusion that feels both satisfying and thought- provoking requires finesse and a deep understanding of the essay's purpose. Another challenge is avoiding the temptation to introduce new information. A good conclusion should synthesize existing ideas and provide closure rather than introducing novel concepts. This requires a keen awareness of the boundaries set by your introduction and body paragraphs. Moreover, the tone of the conclusion must align with the overall mood of the essay. It should leave a lasting emotional impact, whether it's through a poignant reflection, a call to action, or a thought-provoking question. Striking the right emotional chord requires a nuanced understanding of your audience and the subject matter. In essence, writing a good conclusion demands a mastery of various elements – from rhetorical strategies to emotional resonance. It's the culmination of your entire essay, making it both a challenging and rewarding aspect of the writing process. For those seeking assistance in essay writing or exploring various topics, there are resources available. • 3. The Pearl Character Analysis Would A Pearl Change Your LIFE To BE HARD As A MACHINE,Crazy As An ANIMAL,OR Would You Continue Your Life As Normal? The Pearl written by John Steinbeck tells a rampageous story of a person who has found The Pearl Of The World and which it changes him throughout the story which can make him different. What can make him different are these 3 things which are a man, a machine and a animal. These three descriptions talk about Kino who changes throughout the story. As the story starts Kino is a man and as he ends he is a machine. The definition of Man is that he takes care of his family and would do anything for his family. In the book the Pearl it tells on page 27 us that Kino is a brave man, and a fierce man;he is right. From his courage we may all profit. These were proud of Kino. This quote states that Kino is brave and would do anything good for his family and people see him as a brave fierce man and that they would profit good from him. The second quote states on page 9 Hooked his foot in the loop on his rock and his worked quickly, tearing the oysters loose, some singly, others in clusters. This quote means that he worked very hard for searching a pearl to save his son Coyotito who has been stung by a scorpion because he does not have enough money to pay for the doctor. The third quote says on page 7 He looked down in wonder at his knuckles and at the blood that flowed down between his fingers This quote states that Kino was mad at the doctor because he would not
  • 4. Summary Of The Prince By Niccolo Machiavelli Sustaining Power In 1513, Niccolo Machiavelli wrote The Prince, in which he discussed the characteristics that qualify a leader to have control of his people. Machiavelli claimed that a leader ought to associate with vices that have a positive impact to his rulings to avoid embarrassment, thus building a strong leadership. This claim is policy because it delivers the message of ruling. Machiavelli s audiences are former rulers or anyone aspiring to become a leader. Machiavelli uses logos appeal to support his claim. One example of his logos support is when he states that a prince, or anyone seeking power, should ignore peoples opinions. Machiavelli uses this logo to pass the message that being so good to others and giving them clemency can result negative in reign. This is a concise fact on how to rule during those eras, where there were no laws and orders in the society, yet the leaders needed to uphold their reign. Another logo applied in the passage is when he states that sometimes it is better to create fear on people than for them to love their leader. Some people are imposters or hard to convince, thus creating fear, and being brutal to them will be easier for a leader to control. Through the application of such logic, the author is able to provide that sometimes you have to be tough on the people to impose your rules. Machiavelli uses pathos to support his claim. An example of pathos is when he states that when a leader is with his army, he has to avoid being cruel. By doing this, he can be able to keep his army with him. This is an example of pathos since it creates compassion so they can be united and will not make anyone feel attacked or not needed. This statement helps convince the former rulers, or aspiring to be, that on some occasions you have to back away from being feared and lean towards compassion. It will allow your people to trust you. Another example of pathos is when Machiavelli states that friendship cannot be relied on though situations, especially when that friendship was won by favors. This support is ethos because it creates fear and makes people aware that they cannot trust one another. This helps convince the leaders that it is important to be aware that most of the time people

  • 6. Thesis Statement Of Sweatshops The Benefits Behind Sweatshops Thesis statement: Sweatshops, when left to operate without government intervention, are the most efficient way of out poverty. Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe the government needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no exception. In my research, I have found that what people see as the cause of injustice in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is responsible for lifting people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of governmentregulation will fail to solve the problem. The audience I am writing for is a diverse group of peers who are concerned with social justice though they may have different solutions and beliefs about the topic. My goal in this draft is to expand their knowledge and show them the benefits of not interfering with the free market. I. Claim 1: Sweatshops increase the standards of living for the workers and their communities 1. Evidence: 1) Kristof, Nicholas. Where Sweatshops Are a Dream. • 7. The Recording Of Sound Recorded By Edouard Leon Scott De... Since its infancy during the nineteenth century, the art of sound recording has been profoundly affected in countless ways by inventors, scientists, and sound engineers. From the invention of the phonograph to the computers of today, they have all made contributions to the foundation of sound recording. Going forward, technologists in today s computer age are becoming more and more creative. There has even been proof that some researchers have had a hand in altering the course of history. With that in mind, the following questions need to be addressed: How was the recording of sound discovered? What technologies were implemented to improve the science? How has today s digital age affected sound recording? Was history really altered? Is there any debate? How was the recording of sound discovered? According to history, the first sound was recorded mechanically by Г‰douard LГ©on Scott de Martinville (de Martinville) in 1857 on a machine called the phonautograph (and). His device would record sound by using a vibrating membrane that was attached to a pen (stylus) which drew a line in correspondence to sound waves onto a smoked paper roll attached to a rotating drum (and). The sounds were generated by vibrating diaphragm and a series of levers that moved the diaphragm from side to side (and). Even though de Martinville was able to duplicate sound, his machine was not able to play it back right after it was recorded (and). He made his machine this way because his intensions
  • 8. Reflection Of The Last Supper The Last Supper The Last Supper was painted by da Vinci between 1495 and 1498. It is 15 feet wide by 29 feet long and it is not in a museum, it is in a church. This painting depicts the last supper that was celebrated by Jesus and his disciples, as told in the Gospel of John, and the reactions given by each disciple when Jesusreveals to them that one of them would betray him. Starting from the left and moving to right the each individual figure is as follows: Furthest to the left is Bartholomew. Next to him is James, son of Alphaeus, and Andrew. These three men appear to be surprised. Next to Andrew is Judas Iscariot, Peter and John who formed the next group of three. Judas is holding a small bag in his right hand which could mean two things; either as a symbol of silver that was given to him as a payment for betraying Jesus, or could be a reference of him as the treasurer of the twelve disciples. Peter, who is next to Judas, looks angry and he is holding a knife and this could in a reference where Jesus was arrested and he cut off one of the guard s ears, which was later restored by Jesus. By using vanishing point perspective, two dimensional paintings are given an appearance of having three dimensions. He spent a lot of time with the concept of multiple perspectives. • 9. Mack Monologue Leaning against the far wall in the corner of the dim lit room, I waited patiently for Mack to notice my albeit sudden arrival but arrival nonetheless. The soft cotton of my blouse clung to the rough paint job that the wall decorated in many years ago. Splinters already were worming their way to nestle themselves further into my skin. As laughter danced and sprung from all around eagerly intertwining with the stagnant stench of tobacco and hormonal drunken filled lust. The pungent odour of vomit was too lurking in mixed with the sharp rap of alcohol, those two always were friends. The swift smashing of one of Mack s precious lager glasses quickly turned my focus away from the drum of the music and towards the eruption that would surely follow. Get your fucking hands off my girl! A large rather portly fellow in his mid forties barked, rather pathetically into the other man s face while the skin on his face slowly turned red and his veins been to bulge, his beady eyes narrowing down on the offending character that sat next to what one can only assume is his girl . It is an act of combining two or more sets of logically interrelated propositions into a larger set of interrelated propositions in order to provide a more comprehensive explanation of a particular phenomenon. Theoretical integration is more in relation to integrating theories and not the concepts. Integration theories are also explanatory in purpose and must result in greater or more comprehensive understanding otherwise theoretical integration has not been achieved. Still other individuals enter adolescence with strong conventional bonds, experience and anticipate success, and maintain strong conventional bonds throughout adolescence. With weak bonding, individuals become more susceptible to the development of external bonds to unconventional, deviant, or delinquent peers. To the extent that a person associates with others who engage in problem behavior such problem alcohol use, problem and illicit drug use, theft, violence, and other illegal behavior), one has more opportunity to learn about opportunities for problem behavior, ways of engaging in problem behavior, and reasons or rationalizations for problem behavior. As a result, individuals with low levels of bonding are more likely to develop unconventional or delinquent bonding, especially in the peers. The influences of strain and social control thus operate, according to this theory more indirectly through their influences on peer group bonding, although for some specific types of problem behavior the influences of strain and bonding may be more direct. • 12. The Boeing 747 s Impact On Contemporary Globalization The Boeing 747 s Impact on Contemporary Globalization This paper addresses the international impacts of Boeing s 747 commercial airliner on modern globalization. The 747 is one of the most revolutionary and famous airliners today, it could fit as much as 570 passengers and could carry as much as 154 tons of cargo. This massive airliner is a symbol of the progress in civil aviation and signifies a new era in travel. This paper discusses who made this aircraft, the trade and financial influence of creating this aircraft and how this aircraft reflects the global division of labor. To begin with, Webster s dictionary defines globalizationas the development of an increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets. although most people would agree that this is a good definition. Stager defines the term globalization as a set of social processes that are thought to transform our present social condition into one of globality. (stager, p.8) Stager says that we use the term globality to signify a social condition characterized by the existence of global economic, political, cultural, and environmental interconnections and flows that make many of the currently existing borders and boundaries irrelevant. Their main goal was not only to start e new life, but also to convert the savages; Indians. With this move they experienced many difficulties. After graduating from high school, you could go to college. However, in order to be accepted, there were strict requirements that one had to follow. Every student should be able to read, construe, and parse Tully, Virgil, and the Greek NT; and to write true Latin in prose and to understand common arithmetic. Nevertheless, not only will they have to accomplish all these, but they also have to live a religious, blameless life in God. Every student was forced to constantly pray in the school hallways every morning and evening; as well as read a passage of scripture. The professors were to take turns preaching from God s Word in the halls. Additionally, if any student were to act rudely or profane the Sabbath, they would be harshly disciplined. Unfortunately, the government governed even their schools strictly. Colonial America s social life was probably the most interesting aspect of their new lives. The health benefits of a low carb diet significantly outweigh the negatives. First, let s look at some of the background information of low carb diets. Also, we will look at a couple different diets and what their different phases are. A low carb diet is one that restricts the intake of carbohydrates for the purpose of losing weight. One of the reasons for this is that low carb diets tend to get rid of excess water from the body. Because they lower insulin levels, the kidneys start shedding excess sodium, leading to rapid weight loss in the first week or two. Low carb diets can actually lower blood sugar and insulin levels while helping to treat diabetes, Gunnars states, by cutting carbohydrates, you remove the need for a lot of insulin. Both blood sugars and insulin go way down. The best way to lower blood sugar and insulin levels is to reduce carbohydrate consumption. This is also a very effective way to treat and possibly even reverse type II diabetes. Another great health benefit to going on a low carb diet is that it will also lower your blood pressure, which lowers your chances of getting a stroke or heart attack. Low carb diets are very effective at lowering blood triglycerides, which are fat molecules in the blood and a well known risk factor for heart disease, says Gunnars, and this is because carb consumption elevates blood triglyceride levels. • 18. Path Integration for Navigation Path Integration Forms of spatial sensitivity among organisms are exceedingly wide ranging. Spatial sensitivity among lower animals has been studied in its role in navigation. Many of these animals exhibit extraordinary navigational capacities. Amoebae have light sensitivities that lead them to liquid areas that serve their chemical needs. Crickets locate mates using sound. Path integration, or dead reckoning, is one of the four types of navigation. I begin by distinguishing the differences among the four types of navigation. I continue by explaining in more detail the second type of navigation: path integration. Next I explain why one might think that certain types of path integration are not representational. Last I show why path integration doesn t depend on perceptual constancies. Path integration is one of the four types of navigation. The other three are beaconing, landmark use, and map use. Organism s can travel toward or away from a source of stimulation. Beaconing, or homing, is an organism s movement toward a target. That movement is in response to a stimulation that derives from the target s location. Beaconing allows organisms to move in directions that are favorable to them. For example, salmon travel in the ocean for years. After a couple years, they return to their home streams in straight a line. This is a result of them responding to certain hormonal changes. Many organisms use another type of navigation called landmark use. Landmark use

In the article 3D/4D sonography any safety problems , there was a report about a twenty minute exposure of 3.5 megahertz to pregnant rats, which concluded in damage to learning and memory, reduced mRNA, NMDA, and more.3 They found that this could have been caused by heat through the attachment of the probe. A way to reduce this occurrence can be by placing thirty seven degree celsius stabilized water in between the probe and the animal.3 Although this happened in a rat, we have to take precautions for pregnant women. We need to be able to monitor the thermal and mechanical indexes below one and have shorter exposure times to about thirty minutes or less.3 The ultrasound waves can produce heat to the tissues to some extent, that is why you do not want to over expose. Also, the ultrasound equipment should be handled by a professional ultrasound technologist. According to the Radiologic Society of North America in their article 3D and 4D Fetal Ultrasound Advances Spark Research, Create Challenges , there are gatherings for expectant parents called ultrasound parties , which are very similar to keepsake images/videos that are done without medical indication.7 Ultrasound parties include the technologist coming to the expectant parents house to show the fetal movements to all their guests. This means we want everything to be as low as possible while obtaining a proper image including a smaller exposure. Although ultrasound waves may not harm the fetus as much as x rays do, we still want to protect the unborn child as much as possible. This can be achieved by reducing the heat getting to the tissues, shorter exposure times (around thirty minutes

Dental treatment requires a certain amount of time and it is difficult to keep a child still. Under these circumstances dentists will often recommend some form of pharmacological sedation. For the most part, dental procedures are ambulatory; meaning patients will go home shortly after the procedure is done. To facilitate this, dentists use oral sedation or intranasal sedation instead of general anesthesia. General anesthesia not only will significantly increase the cost of treatment, but also the risk as well. The use of oral sedation or intranasal sedation represents an advantage for dentists, who can perform a treatment that without sedation could not be accomplished. On the contrary, drug response from patients represents a major risk that can not be ignored. Due to the great risk of advanced reactions in patients after receiving a drug or a combination of drugs, researchers are constantly working on finding better and safer sedative agents. With assuming that the Africans on the ship were slaves, Delano was fooled multiply times into believing Cereno was in charge. This exploits the idea of natural slavery. With Delano already assuming the African s on the ship were slaves, he is justifying the idea that he naturally thought they were slaves. This main idea can be shared with Aristotle. Aristotle believed that there would always be a higher power over people (Jowett). In Delano s case, he assumed the higher power was Cereno due to his race. However, With Babo and the other former slaves revolting, they were showing that they were more superior than Cereno by using force. This would prove Aristotle s point that there would always be a higher power in society. The situation that occurred in Benito Cereno could also happen under Lycurgus s regime. If prostitution became legal, prostitution employers should be subjected to equal employment opportunity laws, which states that it is illegal to discriminate against any employee or job applicant because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, physical or mental disability, or age. However, I think like all other jobs, employers are not required to hire all types of people because they might not fit to be a prostitute. Wages and the methods of paying will depend on the prostitute and their employer to decide. They can get pay based on the clients ratings or by the commission. There should also be hazard pay and a limit of how many clients a prostitute can serve a day to protect them from overworking. A prostitute should also be required to get training or schooling because he/she will need to learn how to serve a customer, how to prevent pregnancy, how to act professionally if something unexpected happens, and other skills that are useful for the job. A prostitute should be able to turn down a client that are rude, vulgar, racist, etc.. or they can discuss with their employer and client to raise the price. There should be specific laws and regulations that protect the prostitute s

  • 36. Analysis Of The Film Cold Mountain The movie Cold Mountain has many talking points; I will be going over a few of them in this paper. I will first be going over desertion and the effect it had on the Confederate side during the Civil War. Desertion played a huge role is the war, even more than I originally thought. Then, I will be diving into how the Civil War affected family life, as the men went off to fight, leaving the woman and kids at home take care of the homes. Lastly I will be arguing how the film Cold Mountain is a pretty historically accurate film, using great detail with the props and storyline, to fully immerse viewers to life in the 1860s. Desertion during the Civil War plagued both sides, but was detrimental to the weaker South. In Cold Mountain, Inman, who was a Confederate Soldier, deserts the army after being shot in the neck during a skirmish with the North. His goal was to get home to Ada, a woman from Cold Mountain who was waiting for his return. This kind of abandonment was not uncommon during the lengthy war, with around 10 to 15 percent of Confederate Soldiers deserting throughout the war. The 44th Virginia Regiment had the highest desertion rate during the war of, nearly 30 percent. Many things caused this, such as: faulty equipment, spoiled food, and unresponsive leadership. Many of the Soldiers were not happy with the Confederate governments polices, but did not come right out and say it. The Conscription Act, which required all males between 18 and 35 to serve in the
  • 37. Edward Elgar Research Paper The life of an artist can be a difficult one. Many artists produce work for their own enjoyment or because it is their passion, but some are lucky enough to get paid for their work, enough to make it a legitimate source of income. Edward Elgar, a composer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was one of these artists. Although he composed music for enjoyment, he was popular enough in his day to make a living from his music, and his reputation continued to grow after his death, making his work a valued aspect of British culture today. Even though he was in the limelight during his lifetime, Elgar could put his heart and soul into his music, which ultimately reflected his mood and the mores of the Victorian and Edwardian eras he lived through.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author George Bernard Shaw wrote, Elgar is carrying on Beethoven s work (7). In 1917, Daniel Gregory Mason wrote, Sir Edward Elgar... is surely one of the great men of our time (288). This was after the First World War when Elgar s work was seen as inspiring patriotism. Much of the literature on Elgar s work notes its contrast to other music at the time, which may explain why it took so long for Elgar to become popular. In 1957, musician Ralph Vaughan Williams called Elgar s work, quite new without being eccentric when referencing a performance of the Enigma Variations, originally performed in 1899 (Williams et al. 302). In 1917, Daniel Gregory Mason said Elgar s work is an escape from habit to initiative, from formality to eloquence, from insularity to cosmopolitanism (289). Elgar lacked the formal training of many of his contemporaries, and this seems to have given him a greater freedom in his composition. Mason wrote, But the important point is that however much... he may fall back into the formula of his school, he has at his best left them far behind (289). Sir Ernest Bullock noted that much of his music is distinguished by a characteristic individuality (Williams et al. 306). Most of his training instead came from experience with music and instruments. As a result, critics often describe Elgar s work as having orchestral

During the time range from 12.15 am to 12.30am on 3rd December 1984, the investigation team had concluded that there was a transfer of MIC from Tank 610 although the data in the logs had been falsified. The team got an attempt to remove water from the Tank 610 when they knew that the safety valves of the system lifted and the pressure in the storage tank was high enough to release the MIC water mixture compound. The transfer seemed to be impracticable as the remove of the one ton of the material was not enough to relief the pressure in the tank. The only thing that the workers could do was to remove the water that found in the tank. Anyway, the transfer of the MIC compound was too late because the pressure of the Tank 610 was too high to get control. Perhaps, this poor incident happened due to the technological, organization and human errors. The safety and maintenance procedures for the manufacturing plants had been ignored for months due to the financial problem faced by the company. The second planet in our Solar System is not a hospitable place. The crew will have to face the challenges of Venus s high winds and violent storms, the crushing air pressure, and more. My sci fi story will follow the perspective of one of the Hesperis crew members on a journey though the inner solar system. In order to develop an idea of how the astronauts will be able to land and live on Venus safely, we will need to study the missions to Venus. From 1961 1983 Russia developed the Venera missions, which traveled to Venus [2]. At this point in time, Russia has been the only country to land spacecraft on the planet, though none of the probes lasted especially long. She uses examples involving self defense like being trapped in a house with a child who is growing very rapidly (Chwang, Abortion slide 10). For instance, if a girl was pregnant and later found out her baby had fetal congenital birth defects that are incompatible with life and will result in death shortly after the baby was born or severely affect the quality of life for her child. Instead of carrying this baby to full term and delivering the baby that would result in the child s death or poor life outcome; her best option would most likely be abortion. To give her child the best outcome, even if it meant terminating the pregnancy and killing the fetus. You could say that this outcome would be better than having a child who is in pain and suffers continuously. This child would not have any quality of life other than being in pain and being transferred in and out of hospitals all their lives. Thomson uses a similar example with a woman that has a cardiac condition, resulting in her death if she carries her baby to term (Thomson, 50). With Thomson s violinist analogy she shows that although disconnecting him would result in death, it would not be morally incorrect. This argument can be applied to a woman s pregnancy, suggesting that if you accept the prior statement and can find no reasonable difference between the violinist and the fetus occupying the woman s body, then you should accept that abortion can be acceptable. Various perspectives on whether the US continues to be a hegemonic power have been present since the end of the Cold War. These have been stated by observers who see the rise of China as the next superpower. In American movies, however especially war movies, the Americans always seen to be going through Europe, killing waves of evil Germans and being the protector of the useless French in which one of the best known examples is Saving Private Ryan. Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 Steven Spielberg directed, award winning film. The film won 5 Oscars and in 2014 was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, being deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. ( Saving Private Ryan , 2017) Yet, these awards are not what interests me in Saving Private Ryan: it s the intense half hour sequence at the film s beginning which immerses the viewer into the Omaha Beach landing in Normandy. In Saving Private Ryan, the film begins with a false vision which is the closest a movie has gotten to real war: being killed by mines, mortars and machine guns firing three times faster than those of the First World War. This grand action and brutally true depiction is ruined straight after as the viewer follows a squad of American Rangers. They embark of a stupidly patriotic mission to find a

Would you attend the wedding? Some would say yes; however, others would say no. Why would they say No ? Because marriage has been traditionally defined as a religious and legal commitment between a man and a woman. As we know, same sex marriagehas been a prominent issue that has so many arguments not just in the United States, but around the world over many years now. There is absolutely nothing more controversial than same sex marriage in gay rights topic. Everyone has different opinions about same sex marriage whether it should be legal or not. We now have to consider two aspects that are moral and religious. These two form a fundamental belief that same sex couples and opposite sex couples are different. Based on the definition of marriage, the view of religion, bad effects to children, and the lifestyle that should not be encouraged; therefore, the government should not legalize the same sex marriage. Same sex marriage is also used as a synonym for gay marriage. It is the union between two people of the same sex in a marital relationship. Same sex marriage are obtaining acceptance in some countries, but some others still do not give permission to gay couples to marry. In 2001, Netherlands was the first country that legalized same sex marriage. In the United States, Massachusetts was the first state that legalized same sex marriage in

MS-13 And Barrio 18 Analysis Both MS 13 and Barrio 18 created a lot of crimes in the Los Angles area, once gang members had been charged of several crimes, the United States government decided to deport them back to their country of origin. In the 90 s the U.S. brought airplanes full of gang members that the country no longer wanted to be responsible for and instead brought the crimeover to El Salvador. During this time period, El Salvador was finishing the civil war and the government had basically started all over, the national police force was barely forming meaning that they lacked control over their citizens and over these thousands of gangmembers who were entering the country (Garsd, J., 2015). This situation left a gap for other groups to take control over the system and so they did.
