Writing an essay on the topic of a "Solution Essay Example" can present its own set of
challenges. Firstly, the term "solution essay" implies a need to address a problem and provide
viable solutions, which requires a thorough understanding of the issue at hand. This necessitates
extensive research to gather relevant information, statistics, and examples to support the
proposed solutions.
Crafting a coherent and well-structured essay is another challenge. One must carefully organize
thoughts and ideas to ensure a logical flow of information. This involves outlining the
introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, while ensuring each section contributes to the
overall argument.
Selecting appropriate solutions and presenting them convincingly can be a daunting task. It
requires critical thinking and the ability to evaluate various options, considering their feasibility
and effectiveness. Additionally, the essay should anticipate and counter potential objections to
strengthen its argument.

2. Lord Of The Flies Tone Analysis
Rules are meant to sustain a society in shape and order, but what happens when
rules aren t enforced anymore? In William Golding s novel, Lord of the Flies, a
group of schoolboys are stranded on an island without any grownups to look after
them. The mysterious island test the boys with ups and downs that reveal the
different tones from beginning to end. The challenges the characters face throughout
the book give many shifts in tones to the novel, but the more dominant tone is
morose; a gloomy, sullen, surly, and despondent tone. The author uses imagery to
recognize the gloomy tone with the senses, details to support the sullen, surly tone
with facts, and language to describe the despondent tone with words. Imagery helps
the reader s senses in creating a mood or tone. With the description of what senses
are being used, it creates an entirely new and different experience for the... Show

Once the boys arrive on the island, the reader wonders how they got there. The
author addresses this detail, The plane was shot down in flames. Nobody knows
where we are. We may be here a long time (34). This significant detail is included
because it tells the reader how the world is at the time for the group of boys. This
gives some background information to the reader on the situation of being
stranded on an island, not knowing where you are or if you will ever be rescued.
Furthermore, after Simon s death, Golding presents the detail of how Ralph is
dealing with the death, Ralph, cradling the conch, rocked himself to and fro (157).
The author specifically included Plath s state of being because it was the first death
they have encountered of their own since they ve been on the island. As the reader
this affects my mood to be gloomy because Ralph is traumatized from Simon s death.
This incident contributes to the tone of the novel, morose, because with the idea of
not being rescued and a death the tone turns
3. Taking a Look at Celtic Music
Celtic Music
When Celtic music comes to mind, nowadays, the first thing people think of is
something to do with maybe something to do with the group Riverdance, a famous
Irish step dancing group, the Irish musician, Enya. Celtic music has almost become
more of the New Age music, the relaxing and soothing comfort music that people
feel the need to listen to when they relax, or just to escape from reality, but it used
to be something else before it has evolved into New Age Music . It is as almost if
people have forgotten what Celtic music really was and changed it from what it
originally was.
Celtic music, to most of the musicians of the past consider Celtic music to be
classified as traditional music; the traditional musicians and composers are actually
offended in modern times because now using the word Celtic almost as a marketing
technique, if it has a lick of something pertaining to Ireland, throw it in the Celtic
music category at the record store, and the traditionalist feel like that the
entertainment industry are basically bastardizing what they felt was more important
than making a quick buck, thus making people really forget where and how Celtic
music got started. It can be easy for people to think that Celtic music is originated in
one specific country, but that is not the case. So what exactly IS traditional Celtic
music? Not to be confused with the basketball team, the Boston Celtics, which the

Total annual inventory management cost = annual inventory holding costs + annual
ordering/setup costs.
The formula for the economic order quantity (EOQ) is derived by developing an
expression for total annual inventory management cost, then taking its derivative with
respect to quantity Q to find its minimum point.
Total annual inventory management cost = S (D / Q*) + H (Q* / 2) where: Q* =
optimal order quantity D = demand per time period S = cost of placing an order H =
cost of holding one unit in inventory for one time period
Optimal order quantity Q* = square root of (2 D S/ H )
Number of orders placed per year = D / Q*
Average cycle inventory = Q* / 2
Time between orders = Q*/ D (expressed in years)
The optimal order quantity Q* occurs at the point where total fixed costs (eg.,
ordering costs) equal total variable costs (eg., inventory holding costs).
Example 1.
Assumption no lead time and constant demand Annual demand = 20,000 units per
year Cost/unit = $30 Order cost = $100/order Holding cost = 12% of unit cost/per
year H = .12(30) = $3.60/unit/year holding costs and demand must be in the same
time frame

2.1.4 Top tensioned Risers (TTRs)
Top tensioned risers (TTRs) are risers used for dry tree production facilities like
Spars and tension leg platforms (TLPs) as conduits (either for production, drilling,
injection or export) between the floating production units (FPU) and subsea systems.
A top tensioned riser extends substantially vertically from a platform hull to the sea
bottom. The riser includes length adjustment at its upper end and is detachably
connected to an anchor pile at its lower end. (Jordan et al., 2006). TTRs are
tensioned at the top to resist environmental loading. The tensions needed for the
production risers are generally lower than those for the drilling risers (Chakrabarti,
2005).

Von KВґarmВґan observed that the stability of vortex street is integrally linked to its
configuration(Von KВґarmВґan, 1912). His analysis has since been followed by
studies of vortices, in the presence of bluff bodies which causes separation of
flow.(HorvГЎth et al., 2000) Fig. 1. KВґarmВґan Vortex Street (Dyke, 1982. )
When a bluff body is placed in a flowing fluid, the body will cause flow separation
which will result in vortex shedding. (Bearman, 1998).This separation changes the
flow field from steady flow to unsteady flow with an increase of the Reynolds number
. Properties of the wake produced behind a bluff body depend on three main factors,
which when combined into a single relationship known as Reynolds number Re has
an important influence on the characteristics of vortex induced vibration. These
properties include: free stream velocity Uf, geometry of the structure acting as an
obstacle in flow, and kinematic viscosity of the fluid v. For a rigid cylinder, whose
characteristic dimension in the direction of flow is its external diameter D, Reynolds

Reynolds number enables the comparison of similar systems under different fluid and

Since the beginning of the 1990s, Japan has experienced significant declines in
household net savings rates. The 90 s was a decade of slow growth, and households
devoted a large portion of their incomes to maintaining consumption levels. Large
amounts of liquid savings in postal savings accounts and in banks meant the majority
of the population did not feel they had to increase saving in order to rebuild assets.
(Feldstein, 2010)
A number of factors contributed to this decline in the savings rate. One such factor is
that demographic structure is changing rapidly. There is an increasing number of
retirees relative to the people within the labour force. The people in the labour ...

Japan s public pension system can be divided into the Employees Pension System,
the Mutual Aid Association Pension System and the National Pension System.
Pensions can alliveate many financial worries that people in the workforce may
experience into the future and problems a retiree is experiencing currently. This
creates a situation where there is less of a reason to save and hence declines in
savings rates occur.
Real incomes for workers experienced slow growth from the beginning of the 1990
s to the present day in Japan. This has impacted savings rate as a large portion of the
population do not have the finances to save effectively. This would account for low
consumer spending regardless of the low saving rates. Reductions in labour
productivity and issues with corporate competitiveness are two main factors behind
this reduction in real incomes.

As a result, lawyers have incentives to provide a higher quality service (by billing
for additional time) than their clients would like. PPLS service changes lawyers
incentives. Under the closed panel plan, lawyers receive a flat fee per client, and
have little incentive to spend excessive hours providing higher quality services to
their clients. Under the open plan, PPLS monitors attorney billing to ensure that it
is appropriate. In both cases PPLS has provided incentives for lawyers to

PPLS s approach is again similar to that provided by the use of capitation fees for

Everyone has looked at a political cartoon, and had a laugh. However, have you
really analyzed what the cartoon is saying to you? What is it that the cartoonist wants
you to know? Political cartoons are visuals that comment on political events or issues
while possibly making you laugh. Marty Bucella s political cartoongives you a vivid
detailed look at caricatures, and analyzes student teacher relationships and how a
boy is not doing so well in school. The issue of boys failing in school is swept under
the rug, but it is a serious issue and affects our country s future. Bucella is an
accomplished cartoonist who discovered his talent after he made a greeting card
for his girlfriend in college. He thought maybe he could make money doing this and
spent the rest of his senior year drawing on notebooks. A picture can be worth a
thousand words. Political cartoons have been around since the 1800 s. Many
historians will say the idea started even before this time period. Most political

The cartoonist Bucella did an excellent job of pulling you in to the drawing. While

11. The Epidemic Of The Ebola Virus
Science has offered mankind various alternative methods to stop diseases from
invading the human body. Whether, it be a vaccine, a pill, or various collaborative
methods, mankind is in the pursuit of controlling and isolating the Ebola virus
disease. Ebola is a disease that not only consumes the lives of many, but also
consumes the infrastructure of many villages, towns, and their way of life. The Ebola
virus is one of the most dangerous diseases because it suppresses the immune system,
damages the vascular system, leads to multiple organ failure, and hemorrhagic
fever along with a chain of various other symptoms. It is not one single phase of
Ebola that has up to a 90 percent mortality rate 1, but a wave of multiple body
systems failures that disintegrates the human body as a whole. The virus ability to
attack the human body has driven man to expand on various new methods to
counteract the destruction it has had on the Central and Western African.
Understanding the Ebola virus disease, its strains, and its ability to suppress the
immune system, has driven the collaboration of health organizations to design and
implement projects that will control and reduce the spread of Ebola. The Ebola
virus belongs to a family of negative strand RNA viruses called Filoviridae, which
are classified as Zoonotic diseases 2. Zoonotic diseases are caused by animals that
contain the virus within them. There are a total of four Ebola species grouped as
Filoviridae that can cause the
12. Analysis Of The Book Sacrifice Zones By Steve Lerner
In the book, Sacrifice Zones, Steve Lerner takes readers through twelve separate
stories of communities in the United States that have been unwillingly exposed to
high levels of environmental toxicity. In each of these cases, citizens of those
communities reacted to and pushed back against being exposed to toxic
chemicals, sometimes successfully and sometimes less so. In every case, the
people most heavily exposed to these health hazards were minorities and low
income citizens, which, Lerner argues, is why government officials and corporate
decision makers chose knowingly to risk exposing them. This paper will outline
Lerner s book and argue that despite a long history of protests, lawsuits, media
attention and nationwide outrage, willing exposure of low income and minority
Americans to toxic chemicals in the pursuit of government and corporate interests
is still a major problem today. There is certainly not enough space to examine all
twelve stories presented in Lerner s book in this paper, and they are all shocking
both in terms of the level of exposure to toxic chemicals and the questionable choices
of corporate and government officials but a few stories stand out.
In Marietta, Ohio, a steel plant called Eramet has been pumping the air full of a toxic
chemical called Manganese. The chemical is known to cause health problems,
particularly damaging to neurochemical and motor function. When a study confirmed
that manganese concentrations in the area were much higher than

The career path that I am choosing to follow is Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Sonography is considered fairly new to the medical world. It started back in the 19th

I receive in these classes will determine if I get into phase II or not. Because the
program at Greenville Tech only accepts 15 students, it is imperative that I perform
to the best of my abilities in every one of my classes. Greenville Tech is also one of

threat may be bacteria, a virus or a toxin. Called acute inflammation, it is a normal

Treatment often starts with a change of diet, because a healthy diet can reduce
chronic inflammation. A healthy diet also helps with many other health issues.

taken along with ordinary distilled water, and it works a lot like acupuncture to
restore balance to the body and has a powerful effect on inflammation.
There is very good evidence that we can reduce chronic inflammation in the joints
and muscles with Double Helix Water. Thermographic images have shown a
radical reduction in heat and inflammation in the bodies of people with arthritis
and diabetes after drinking stable water clusters. Researchers are also looking into
the benefits for athletes. It may help increase adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which
helps the body defend and repair itself. It may speed up recovery time for sports
injuries because it increases blood flow. This is good news for people who work

the most interesting thing I did all summer. This is now my favorite

The Seminole Indians are a proud culture with a strong heritage. Many of Seminole
Indian tribes used story telling to teach children and young adolescents important life
lessons. The legends that the Seminole Indians taught their children can still be used
today to teach society important life lessons. Betty Mae Jumper, author of the

Jumper s legend of the Two Hunters analyzes what happens when man disregards
nature s balance. When the second hunter stumbles upon two fish that are out of

BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY Education is generally accepted as a major
source of development of any civilised society. Francis Bacon in his words said
Crafty men condemn studies; simple men admire them, and wise men use them . The
importance of education to the development of the society has made all concerned
stakeholders to be interested in its administration, planning and dissemination to the
entire populace. Religious missionaries, most especially Christian missionaries were
the fore runners of western education in Nigeria. Education was used by those
organisations as tool for grassroot evangelism as well as public enlightenment.
Muslim communities were faced with challenges of getting their children educated in
western way without getting them converted into Christianity. Various Muslim
organisations rose up to this challenge lately by establishing formal western oriented
schools. Muslims are enjoined by Prophet Muhammed to seek for knowledge from
the cradle to the grave ; and even go in quest of knowledge even unto china (edge of
the earth) Various Muslim organisations realized this call to tackle the challenges
facing Muslim children in the path of obtaining western (formal) education. For
instance, Ansar Ud Deen Society of Nigeria, Ahmadiyya Muslim Society of Nigeria,

These shooting competitions also meant that huge archery tournaments would prepare
troops for war.One of the major laws was that each of the kings requested a certain

huge effect on not just england but on all countries. Longbows were not just
weapons of destruction but were also used for other useful jobs. People have used
bows since we can remember for hunting and fishing. Bow fishing is a really big
sport which you shoot fish with barbed arrows and pull them back in out of the

native americans. Longbows was their main weapon of choice. It helped them

Role of Customer Loyalty Programs in the Retailing Sector Executive Summary:
Customer loyalty schemes (or programs) are explicit efforts by the retailers in
different formats to gain the long term patronage from the customers. Loyalty
schemes are designed and developed for variety of reasons: to reward the loyal
customers, to generate more information about the customer behaviour, buying
patterns. It also helps to influence consumer behaviour, and as defensive measure to
combat a competing scheme. The purpose of this study is to describe the objectives
of the loyalty schemes, the origin its evolution over the years, the important aspects
of its implementation and strategic approaches to maximise the impact. This will also

A response from the customer to come back and repeatedly use the product or
service is a definite indicator of the customer to be loyal. Through loyalty
programmes companies therefore can track the behaviour of customer, and trends
of his activities over a period of time. It can lead to customer behaviour where
customers can book earlier, stay longer, do vacationing more often, and earn
reward points for this behaviour with the brand. So loyalty programmes provide an
opportunity to learn about the customer s preferences, and expectations. Customers
tend to be loyal only when they can identify their values matching with those of the
brand. This leads to brand association from the customer s with the company s
logo, brand. Eyeballs Buyers Loyalty Action Performance Consideration
Awareness There are five types of the consumer behaviour which have been
measured over particular period of time span: the percentage of consumers buying
a brand, number of purchases per buyer, the percentage who continue to buy the
brand repeatedly, the 100% loyal customers and the segment of population who
buy other brands. Polygamous Loyalty: This is a theory which is for the stationary
markets, customer loyalty is divided into number of brands. The long run
propensities to buy a particular brand for a customer now a days is very less the
primary reason being the choice of too many brands in the same sector. So
polygamous loyalty is actually
24. Individual Changes Across Age
Abstract The subject of personal evolution examines how individual changes across
age. When scientists investigate the individual growth, they classify and try to
explain both general aspects that everyone shares and characteristics that are
unparalleled. The objective study of personal development uses theories, analysis,
and data summary to explain why and whereby evolution transpires. It incorporates
the event from conception to end stages. In the interest of being comprehensive in
indications of chronology, it is also wide regarding heterogeneity. The subject of
human development encompasses all types of individuals from various cultures,
societies, generations, and socioeconomic status. The classific of common properties

Nevertheless, they serve two discrete and progressive processes. While development
leads to shifts over time, the word growth refers to material changes. It can be
quantifiably marked and involves dentition, height, and weight. As humans, there is a
physiological pattern, but maturity times differ in various life stages. A good
example of this is when growth occurs during the prenatal period. The growth is
rapid, while there is minimum increase throughout adulthood. The development of
children takes place in a continuous, orderly, and sequential pattern. This design is
influenced by maturational, environmental, and hereditary factors. What this means
that the rate, magnitude, and effects of substantial growth vary from person to
person yet the order is the same. The pattern of growth and development transpires
in a proximo distal direction. Proximo distal means the body grows from the center
outward. The body doesn t just development proximo distal but from simple to a
complex task. As we watch our children grown we watch them begins with a
generalized response such as the Moro reflex and progresses to a skilled individual
response such as
25. The Paradox Of The Heart In Joyas Voladoras
The Paradox of The Heart The paradox of the heart is that it allows us to live and
feel the most beautiful things, to love and be loved; it also allows us to feel the
deepest pains, the ones where it feels like we can no longer breathe and are
grasping for air. It s incredible how one small organ can have such great power, to
carry the weight of life and death. Bryan Doyle s short story, Joyas Voladoras, starts
off with facts and metaphors of a hummingbird s heart. The story then goes into a
brief description about whales and finally concludes with people. Doyle draws a
connection between hummingbirds, whales, and humans, and it s that they all have
a heart. He expresses the significance of the heart and the role it plays in each
individual s life through the use of facts, similes, metaphors, imagery and
personification. Doyle even breaks the barriers between reader and writer by
switching points of views and incorporating the reader by drawing emotions and
evoking thoughts. Bryan Doyle starts off by throwing information to the reader
about the hummingbird and its pencil eraser of a heart. He goes off explaining it s
many talents such as they can fly backward, or they can fly more than five hundred
miles without pausing to rest. Doyle uses these facts to engage the reader and to
allow them to think about their talents and what they are able to do. The author then
cuts the hummingbird by saying that the price of their ambition is a life closer to
death; they

I chose to revise assignments number two and three because they were my two
favorite assignments out of the three we did during the semester. I felt that they were
unique in the sense that I had never been asked to do something like this in an
English class before. It is important to enjoy the assignments that you revisebecause
the process takes a lot of time and effort. A writer must be fully engaged with his
pieces to be able to revise effectively. I also think that they will allow me to work on
two completely different aspects of my writing. In project two, my revisions are
focused around incorporating sources and supporting evidence. I also look to
improve development and new perspective in this piece as well. I plan on
addressing these areas in a variety of ways through out my revisions. I will look at
the way I incorporate sources to make sure that they flow smoothly and are needed
and effective where they are currently placed. I will also look at the frequency at
which I incorporate sources to see if there is opportunity to incorporate more. As
far as the areas of development and new perspective go, I will look into my
analysis and see if that can be strengthened in any shape or form. For project three,
my focus is on the section of the rubric that deals with So what/who cares as well as
global organization. I also am looking into improving focus and interpretation. For
so what/who cares as well as focus and interpretation this is another area where I can
look into
27. Pornography Is A Widespread Modern Moral Issue
Pornography is a widespread modern moral issue. It is known as any erotic picture
or film made to arouse sexual desire. The definition of pornography is the printed
or visual display of explicit content, used to stimulate erotic feelings. In modern
society pornography or porn has become more easily accessible due to the use of
technology. The main purposes for it today are to stimulate ones feelings and it
has been turned into a sort of entertainment. In ancient times there were no words
for pornography, did it even exist? Certain passages from the bible provide
information as to whether there was porn and if it falls under the category of
something that is good for a society or is it something that is harmful to society.
Since the word pornography does not appear in the bible it may lead to the
conclusion that porn did not exist in ancient times. However there are words related
to it that may define it in certain passages, such as lust and coveting. In biblical times
these words play a large role in Israelites lives. They were not to be taken lightly. The
bible has one commandment that pertains solely to lust and coveting. Thou shall not
covet (Exodus 20:17). This commandment includes everything that belongs to your
neighbor, their house, everything in it and their wife. In biblical times the wife of a
man was thought of as the man s property. She belonged to him and in this
commandment she is seen as an object that is not to be lusted after. This
commandment stresses the
28. When We Were Kings
When We Were Kings directed by Leon Gast is a documentary based on the heavy
weight championship between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Gast uses
variety of cinematic techniques to convey certain opinions about the world famous
boxer Muhammad Ali.
When We Were Kings emphasises on Muhammad Ali s arrogance and egotism
through the use of voiceover narration. Gast introduces Ali into the film with video
clips of his extroverted and charismatic persona. Throughout the film, Ali supporters
chant his name Ali bumbaye, Ali bumbaye (Ali, kill him), that exaggerate his drive to
defeat his opponent. When We Were Kings presents Ali s opponent George Foreman
as an inhuman being, setting him up as a practically unbeatable man who is seen

He goes into great depths in order to enable the viewer to view Ali as a man who
refrains from taking a philosophical or political stance on the fight. Gast s portrayal
of Ali gives the viewer the impression that he is very sincere in his wish to serve as
an inspiration to the masses. His remarks on representing his culture to the media in
interviews, paired with the African music and political clips of fighting reminded
audiences of the greater societal implications. Before the fight we are never shown
Ali being too close to anyone specifically, always being somewhat removed. But, in
the morning after the fight, we see Ali bent down to hug and kiss a young girl. This
is an incredibly tender moment; not only breaking down the wall between him and
his followers, but it brings him back akin to the earth after he has been exalted to the
status of a God. Nevertheless, because this moment occurs directly after the fight, it
not only humanises Ali, but it sets the stage for him to move beyond boxing and into
the rest of his life. When We Were Kings is very much a character piece of
Muhammad Ali s intense adoration for the people of Africa, which is shown through
the use of
29. Causes Of Calcium Uptake From Foliar Application
Calcium Uptake from Foliar Application
Foliar Ca2+ application has been suggested to increase the fruit Ca2+ supply that
may, in turn, reduce fruit Ca2+ deficiency disorders. Spraying with Ca2+ solution
reduces Ca2+ deficiency injury in plants (Kleemann 2000b) e.g. foliar Ca2+ spray
reduces BER incidence of tomato (Schmitz Eiberger, Haefs, and Noga 2002) ;
spraying of 0.5% solution of Calciogreen in glasshouse completely prevents BER
incidence of bell pepper variety Cecil though the fruit mass was
reduced(Parađiković et al. 2004) ; spraying of young tomato with CaCl2 limits
the development BER (Schmitz Eiberger, Haefs, and Noga 2002); spraying of
celery with CaCl2 or Ca(NO3)2 completely control blackheart (Geraldson 1952,
1954). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, direct application of Ca2+ can reduce the symptoms of Ca2+ deficiency
disorder but does not remove them completely (Ferguson and Watkins 1989) and
exogenous Ca2+ may not bound with the cell structure tightly that leads to easy
leakage of it (Ferguson and Watkins 1983).
Calcium Translocation within Plant
Soil solution Ca2+ enters the root apoplast with mass flow of water (Barber 1995)
and is transported to the xylem via apoplastic or symplastic pathways (White and
Broadley 2003). Apoplastic pathway consists of cell wall and intercellular spaces
where Ca2+ moves with water passively across the gradient of water potential
(Karley and White 2009; White 2001). Symplastic pathway consists of cytoplasm
where Ca2+ moves from cell to cell through plasmodesmata (Karley and White 2009;
White 2001). Tight regulation of cytosolic Ca2+ at a very low concentration (0.1 0.2
ОјM) implies that apoplastic pathway is the main route of Ca2+ translocation
across the root cortex (White and Broadley 2003; Taylor and Locascio 2004; Karley
and White 2009). However, presence of Casparian strip at the root endodermal cells
prevents further movement of Ca2+ towards the xylem. The Casparian strip prevents
apoplastic movement of solutes (Clarkson 1993; White 2001) and suberization
restricts the movement of Ca2+ into the endodermal cells(Moore et
30. Analysis Of There Is A Monster By Mary Shelley
Feral children or wild children (What happens to those who grow up in complete
isolation?) The lack of parents presence and responsibilities make children become
wild. These following points show how a child becomes feral: lack of family, lack of
guidance, and lack of love. In Shelley s novel, there is a monster that was created
by Victor. He has suffered these lacks. According to Shelley s novel the creature also
becomes wild because the lack of family, guidance and love. A child that grow up
without a family can be describe as a person that is living a desperate life because
that child does not have anybody around him or her to make this child feel more
secure about his or her life. To be specific, most things they can do when their
parents are not around them, they will not do it if the parents are present. Ingley
says. I don t think the general public really knows what it wants from its criminal
justice system, and in particular, how it wants to address the problem of youthful
offenders in our society (Brian, paragraph 17). The lack of family makes a great
impact in these children s life because it leads them to the misbehavior; for
example, they do crimes, and also being disrespectful. Furthermore, if many children
are living with their families, the society would have another image without any
crimes, and many more problems that can make others suffer. Some of those kids
ended up in jail or prison actually is because the lack of parents. They are living for

A particular brain function that is affected throughout the music training would be
the processes of sound frequency. A study proved that even after 40 years of not
playing a musical instrument, sounds go through the brain much quicker than
someone without musical training. This shows that the brain is able to process
sound much faster because the brain has been trained to pick out sounds, how to
create sound, and how to deeply critique sound. This study showed that when older
people who haven t picked up a musical instrument in over 40 years can be tested
and be able to make out sounds much faster than elders who never did play a
musical instrument, because the brain is able to respond to sound very quickly.
Older people who took music lessons in childhood had a faster brain response to
speech, even if they had not played an instrument in decades, researchers found.
This quote is stating that older people to had musical training as a child could
respond to sounds quickly even after decades of not having the training compared to
the older people who didn t have musical training and went through the same test.
This shows that even after 40 years, the brain is still able to process the sound

33. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Private Universities
Do you prefer the public or the private university in Kuwait? This may be a critical
question for many students. Parents may fall under confusion to choose between to
enroll their kids in public or private universities. The parents try to compare the
advantages and the disadvantages of those types of universities and then they
outweigh these advantages and the disadvantages. After that parents choose the type
of universities for their kids. Although some parents may prefer public universities
for their free education, many may prefer private universities for their large
advantages including; smaller size than public state universities, and having a

Many people prefer to enroll their kids in the private universities to have better
employment in the future. Also, there is a reputation that the private universities help
enter the professional and academic world. Graduates of private universities are
always preferred by any potential employers. This is because graduates of these
private universities are supposed to have better education. The private universities
tend to have competitive admissions processes than those of the public universities
(Ban, 2012). So, private universities keep a high degree of academic excellence and
they are reputed by this advantage. The private universities have their great prestige
so this helps graduates in the marketplace. The universities have positive weight in
the students minds of the future potential employers. The employers always like to
hire students graduated from private universities as they know that such universities
present highly qualified curricula. These private universities make students capable
of getting good jobs in the future. These private universities provide with effective
classroom resources as well as strong technology (Neil Kokemuller, 2014). So, the
private universities are more prestigious. This may depend highly on the university
itself. This can be an advantage for students if they began to seek jobs after their
graduation (Drinkworth, 2014)
34. A Brief Note On Cyberstalking And Identity Fraud
Nithin Gopal D
V00748371
Cyberstalking and Identity fraud Cyberstalking is the form of using technology such
as computers, mobiles, internet and other networks for stalking an individual. The
criminals who use cyberstalking are called as Cyber stalkers. They use email,
messages, phone calls and other communication devices to stalk and victimize people.
Cyberstalking cases have been increasing these days and most people are not aware
of this. Some of the most common cyberstalking comes from many forms and the
most common tactics used are threatening, harassing or sending manipulative emails
out from various accounts and hacking on the personal information and gaining
access to the victim s personal records or accounts. The recent records ... Show more

Most of the victims would end up paying the sum of money demanded and if they
don t pay up the money, the personal information would be lost in that stipulated
time. Another example of cyberstalking that I came across was Joe Good s
cyberstalking case. His ex fiancee Tawny hacked into his personal email and got
him fired from his job. She stole personal information from his Yahoo account and
sent obscene mails to his superiors at work. She manipulated him and got him
arrested a number of times. She somehow gained access to his Yahoo account and
obtained personal information and used it against him. She used the law to
support her cause by showing that she was physically manhandled by Joe whereas
actually she hurt herself physically and falsely accused him. She also threatened a
land lord of Joe s girlfriend and a former colleague of Joe s. We must hence be
careful while using passwords and sharing passwords. Passwords must not be shared
and we should protect them from prying eyes. We cannot tell from where the hacker
would target you and a small amount of negligence could land you in trouble and we
could be a victim of cyberstalking.
Identity fraud is faking one s identity and using the identity for illicit means. This is
an unlawful activity. It includes the usage of the identity of one person or a non
existing person to stalk the victim. Some of the possible indicators of identity fraud
are unauthorized charges
35. I Am Born On The World
Introduction:
Steveland (Stevie) Hardaway Judkins was born on the 13th of May, 1950 in
Saginaw Michigan (Bio, 2015). Due to being born six weeks premature, Stevie was
placed in an incubator to help maintain his breathing (Bio, 2015
Stevie Wonder, 2011). The forced oxygen caused the retinas in the back of his eyes
to become unattached, leaving Stevie permanently blind (Bio, 2015). This happened
due to the growth of blood vessels in the back of the eyes not fully developing
correctly (Wikipedia, 2015).
Even though Stevie was left with no vision he began playing the harmonica at age

Even though he is blind, he has not let that stop him from doing what he wants to

Development:
The Tamla label offered Stevie a five year contract but made it clear that all his
money would be kept in a trust fund until he was at least 21 years old (Wikipedia,
2015). In 1962, Stevie released his first album The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie . He
then released his first recorded album, Tribute to Uncle Ray in October, the same
year (Wikipedia, 2015). When Stevie was just 12 years old he toured America
through the chitlin circuit theatres (Wikipedia, 2015). In May 1963, his
performance at the Regal Theatre in Chicago was recorded and formed into a live
album, The 12 Year Old Genius (Wikipedia, 2015). A few months later, when Stevie
was 13, his first number 1 hit single appeared on the Billboard 100 chart (Wikipedia,

36. Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Currently, I have been reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth. It is about a faction
based society that Tris Prior once believed in, but now due to violence, loss, and
betrayal, it is shattered. So when she and other Dauntless members, one of the
factions, offered a chance to explored past the limits she s known. She thinks that
beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a new life together, free from lies, untrue
loyalties, and painful memories. However, when the group finally gets there, it is
nothing as she expected it to be. Old explanations are fake. New truths change the
minds and hearts of those she loves. Once again, Tris has to battle to discover the
complexities of human nature and face impossible choices using courage, allegiance,
sacrifice, and love.
As Allegiant begins, the new head of Chicago, Tobias mother, considers the release
of the video, a video from the past about the factions, to be an act of rebellion for
some unknown reason. Now, the Factionless have control of the city, and they have
dissolved the factions, which makes most people angry. A new factionbrews: the
Allegiant; they believe in the authority of the released video and wish to keep the
breaking factions. Tris, Four and their Divergent friends find their way into the
Allegiant faction to form an escape plan. The group loses one beloved character
along the way, but they make it out of the city with ease. Before they get too far, they
are met with other Divergent who are waiting for them.

example of how Americans expected housewives to clean and nice for guests and
husbands since they had the help of appliances. They did not expect the house to
ever be dirty. KKK The KKK was an organization that formed around the civil war,

It was like a giant party town and changed society in many ways. From Jazz, to
movie theaters, to clubs, Harlem was known by many people and visited by
people from all over. Harlem was a city that showed pure Americanism. It was the
birth of the first American music genre, and brought people together in the clubs
and the movie theaters. Speakeasy Speakeasies were secret bars during
prohibition. These bars were in closed shops at night and other secret spots to hide
from the cops. This was a big change from the nice bars that were legal before
prohibition, but people still went to them. Speakeasies showed the protest of
American s against the government. Even though alcohol was banned, people found
away and went against the amendment, since prohibition was a tad bit ridiculous.
Clubs and Theaters These clubs and theaters were a big hit during the twenties and
were a great landmark of the changes in society during these times. They were
home to great stars and the theaters started the idea of hollywood and movies. Clubs
and Theaters were a perfect example of the intolerance towards just working for
hours a day and having no down time. Now that downtime was a thing, there was
something for people to do at

Benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy
Throughout human history, animals have occupied a central position in theories
concerning the ontology and treatment of sickness and disease (Serpell 16). Animals
have played a major role in the lives of humans in ways that have affected our entire
being and survival. Countless amounts of people, animals, and time have been put
into bringing AAT all over the world; as a result, five other countries have adopted
this form of therapy. The volunteers and workers of Animal Assisted Therapy have
pushed to bring an exciting new therapy to children and adults all around. Animal

Animal visitation boosts morale in nursing homes, hospitals, psychiatric wards and
even prisons. The faces of these people become lit up when the animals comes to
visit. Almost instantly the participants forget where they are and the pain they are
in. Dogs and owners are familiarized with hospital rules, which require mandatory
documentation on the dogs in terms of vaccinations, and the control of behavior
and temperament. Trainers [receive] advice and instruction on how to conduct a
therapy group (Barker 1998). When a dog comes for a visitation, all rules and
regulations are set into place to conduct a safe therapy session. Even though dogs
are the preferred animal for hospital visitations, cats are often used for therapeutic
purposes, as are birds. Some authors discovered that group meetings held in premises
with caged birds have better patient attendance, more involved participation, and
better results compared to the appropriate control group who stayed in premises
without birds (Barker 1998). Bigger animals, like dogs, can be intimidating to
patients, so smaller animals are used as alternatives to elevate the amount of people
who come to the sessions and participate. In horse assisted therapy observations are
made on the effects on the neuromuscular system of the patient

40. The Reasons For The English Settlers Leaving Great Britain
The main reason for the English settlers leaving Great Britain was for the people to
have more religious freedoms. Some of the colonist also did it for wealth, for
some it wasn t free to travel and get a new start on the other side of the world
isolated from what they are accustomed to. There are always different reasons from
a person to family as to why they came to America but for the part it was to be able
to freely practice religion the way the colonists wanted to. In the meanwhile the
colonist when coming into contact with the natives considered them savages and
needed to be converted to a true religion, the right one, Protestantism. Even the
romanticized Captain John Smith believed that Powhatan and the natives were
savages, when the natives clearly stated they were fearful as to what would
happen to them. Coming to the new world the colonists were extremely
unprepared for the dead of winter and many had died but they had a strong reliance
on the Native Americans to help, unfortunately later on quite a few colonies
double crossed them and killed a lot of the Native American tribes. The English
was able to take land because the Native Americans had no concept of property,
they believed it was given to everyone. Of course not every colony was the same
and the way they treated the land, for example people in the Chesapeake had
warmer climates and more fertile soil to offer for farming whereas in New England
the soil was rocky and slightly colder climates which made it
41. Hurricane Recovery Research Paper
Introduction Hurricane season is one of the only natural disasters that you can
possibly prepare for, but how prepared can you really be? Every year, between the
beginning of June and the end of November, the Atlantic Ocean becomes very busy
with producing one hurricane or even more at a time. The peak of hurricane season
usually take place during the months of August and September. This is usually when
things get a bit aggressive with Mother Nature. The Atlantic Ocean produces ten
named storms one average according to the National Hurricane Center. Of the ten
storms that are produced, three of them are most likely to become major hurricanes.

Immediately after a disaster, there is a need to ensure that lifesaving procedures
are taking place. For example, in case of a major hurricane you will have persons
who can t get out of their homes. There must be a plan to secure boats, helicopters,
etc. to ensure that this plan is in place. This may seem as though it is a response,
but response to a disaster will leave to recovery. Once the water recede then we can
began to clean that house out and rebuild. Once the recovery effort begins, we can
clearly see what the short term and long term recovery efforts will be. Short term
recovery happens right after a disaster and initially is a part of the response. It may
include providing food, clothing, and shelter. It may also include transportation.
In many cases these activities go hand in hand with response efforts. Long term
recovery takes a much longer time to take place and work is required by all
members of the communities affected. It can possibly involve everything
mentioned above, but requires more. For example, we go from assisting someone
from their flooded home to restoring the homes for them to move back. This can
take quite some time. Recovery is a major part of Emergency Management,
because it recovers and restores people and places back to normalcy. Haddow,
Bullock, and Coppola (2017) stated, Recovery from an incident is unique to each
community and depends on the amount and kind of damage caused by the incident
and the resources that the jurisdiction has ready or can quickly obtain (p. 283). In
many cases, long term recovery is a process that can take weeks, month, and
sometimes years. Its goal is to bring back and restore what once was. It has a great
impact on the future of the community. During the recovery phase of a disaster, it is
the government responsibility to identify needs and resources, provide shelter and
restoration of homes, address care of persons
