StudentAid is developing a mobile app to help teachers quickly access students' medical histories in emergency situations. The app would allow teachers to search for a student and view their medical conditions and needs. This could help teachers react fast and potentially save lives. Currently, there are no competitors that provide this type of app specifically designed for schools. The business plan is to sell the app directly to schools as a package so student medical data only needs to be entered once rather than on every individual teacher's device.

The app will provide personalized timetables, mind maps, quizzes, flashcards, and other study tools to address students' worries about tests and help them effectively organize their revision in one place. Our marketing strategy will involve posting advertisements on social media platforms commonly used by GCSE students and creating an advertisement to air on television.
Market research findings
The market research findings showed that both the teacher interviewed and staff surveyed through a survey were positive about the proposed app idea. The teacher felt the app would be individualized to each pupil's needs and help increase their confidence through the picture feature. - 1. StudentAid Sutton Grammar School for Boys Pigs May Fly Duncan, Douglas, Jonny & Gautham
- 2. Purpose of StudentAid Who? What? When? Where? Why? Student aid is for teachers, to help them know if a child requires a certain form of medical attention, such as an EpiPen, if the child has had and allergic reaction and immediately requires help. We want to combat the time taken to save a child's life. We also see potential for our app in schools specialising in helping children with special educational needs.
- 3. The Problem Schools have 1000+ students, and no teacher can be expected to remember every students medical history. If a student needs help, they need it fast, and our app will speed up this process.
- 4. The Question How can you keep track of the students medical problems? Our app’s database can let you quickly find out what a student needs in a potentially life or death situation.
- 5. Key Insight Statement “It could really help someone if you can have an idea of their illness. There has to be a quick way to access that data. It could potentially save their life.”
- 6. Elevator Pitch Our team, Pigs May Fly, is developing a mobile app to help teachers react quickly and diagnose a problem, and potentially save a child’s life.
- 7. User Profiles Teachers want it to be: Simple and easy to use Direct and fit for purpose Attractive design
- 8. Compeititors As far as we know, there aren’t any competitors with this app or similar on the market. There are database apps, but none designed for teachers and use in schools. We are therefore filling a unique gap in the market.
- 9. Core Features Our apps core features include: A search bar to quickly find a student and their medical history. A overview of a class, so you can plan lessons ahead and check if you need to take any precautions (e.g. working with peanuts)
- 10. Wire key frames page one This is the menu of our wireframe, showing the basis of our design and simplicity to be as accessible as possible
- 11. Business Plan Our business plan is to sell our app as a package for schools. This provides many benefits, such as all the data being copied onto every device from the one model, which will save from having 1000+ students being typed in on every teachers phone. The price will vary, depending on the amount of teachers that require the app.
