2. We are targeting students who are aspiring to achieve better results.
This app can help students concentrate whilst they study and helps
them avoid distraction.
The app is probably going to be used in the summer term, when
they are revising for their end of year exams. However, it can be also
be used in preparation for GCSEs and other important exams.
3. Many students find it hard to plan their time effectively for a test
and this is what we precisely hope to prevent.
Well planned time and a good timetable for revision; we believe this
is the recipe for success.
It could also help prevent the cramming of notes at the last minute
and takes away much of the stress that comes with exams.
4. We believe this app will help solve this problem for many young
students, who wish to succeed and excel in their subjects.
This would not only provide excellent grades for the school, but also
provide the students with a sense of achievement.
5. People struggle to keep revising because they lose motivation and
we help to prevent that.
We do this by continually pushing notifications and encouraging
them to keep on revising.
6. Our team, Revision Buddy, is developing an app that would
revolutionise the effectiveness of the students revision and would
make better grades seem reachable to students of various ability.
This app aids schools in the process of helping the students revise
and this would ultimately mean better grades for the school. The
students have every choice over the hours of study and the time of
day they study at. Our main aim is to help students to revise
efficiently.
7. Our teacher, Miss Varndell, gave feedback saying that the app would
be useful for all her students to achieve higher grades. This would
also help her set revision time as a sort of boundary for the hours of
revision for that subject.
In addition one of our fellow peers, Felix Turner, exclaimed his views
on this app. He outlined the importance of this app and how it
would affect his time for revision for the End of Year exams. As a
keen student this would benefit him a lot.
Furthermore, David Rudolph believed that it would also help him
revise for various test.
8. Something that already exists in the market is A* Student St Mark’s
High School and is rated around three stars. However, it is used only
for one school and not open for everyone to help them revise for
exams.
Another one is Test Planner and is only rated around 2 stars.
We aim to make ours better and make it more user friendly and
make it especially targeted at a young audience that would not be
bored by the current apps on the store.
9. Our app’s core feature select to how long you are allowed to revise
and it allows your to concentrate by notifying you continuously if
you go out of the app and do not study for the allocated time.
Our teacher Miss Varndell, said our app would help her and would
help her on many occasions to help her students to revise for an
exam.
16. The technology the in our app is feasible and this is because many
of our pages are designed based on already present ideas. For
example we have a slider that you can use to change the time.
The data is also feasible because you enter simple information by
clicking buttons and all you get is a timetable. The push notification
idea is also feasible, as many apps have already used this idea.
AirPrint idea is possible because most printers have AirPrint.
17. Our target group audience are the schools and colleges.
First 3- 6 months we would offer a free download of the application.
Once the awareness of the application is established, we will
approach the students via schools and colleges.
We aim to sell the application to the school in bundles where the
students buy it from the school.
After the awareness is established, we will introduce the app store
price of £0.99.
We will sell the bundles to schools for around £19.99, these give a
code for them to unlock the resource.
Our app will not be ad supported because it would distract the
students from their main purpose, which is to revise.
18. We plan to place posters in libraries, schools and public places. We
believe this will make people more aware of our product and would
want to purchase it.
In addition, we will make teachers aware of this app and then they
could inform the students about such an app.
We could also send flyers, and this would mean the parents know
about this app.
