From Audience Feedback

feedback that we
received
-youtube comments
-whatapp groups
-questionaires
As a group audience feedback was vital step in making us improve and grow.
Firstly we did a questionnaire that allowed our target audience to complete,
this allowed us to be able to see what they expected in typical RnB videos.
We also allowed audience feedback on our rough cut of the music video on
YouTube comments, they mentioned that they liked the idea of most of the
shots being in POV gave an interesting twist and the atmosphere and lighting
was different as it was only shot in the night time. Furthermore they gave us
some things that they wanted us to improve on, they felt that there was no
narrative within the video no characters or storyline and they couldn't’ follow
it properly.
By having this feedback we changed it to a storyline of a main character was
having problems with her boyfriend and going out to drink to get rid of her
problems. We also made a WhatsApp group which we added our friends to,
and we asked for their opinions on our music video and ask if they had any
constructive criticism to add to our musical video and they also said the same
things that were commented on music video on YouTube so we decided to
make these changes. We also relied on the ‘word of mouth’ theory so we told
all of our classmates about video and the plot that we had so that allowed
people to know about it and continue research on our video and give us
feedback.
In conclusion audience feedback heavily inspired
our final product, because the whole of the
music industry is aimed at certain target
audiences. Our target audience was at young
adults/teenagers and by making sure that our
music video had all the certain conventions that
are expected in RnB music videos, that we found
out by our feedback. Made our final product
very professional, and allowed our music video
to look very realistic and be successful.
