HYDRAFACIAL
LETS REVEAL THE POWER OF WATER
DR. TAHIR ABBAS AND RUBINA
 The medical science thinks that the process of acidification of matter
(oxidation),drinking Alcohol , smoking and environmental pollution etc could
produce oxygen free radicals in human body.
 This leads to the phenomenon of aging.
AGING
 A Hydra-facial is a gentle cosmetic treatment that combines cleansing,
extracting, and depositing serums into your skin. Sometimes
referred to as “hydra dermal-abrasion,” this treatment usesa
vacuum-like machine to suck up dead skin and extract clogged
pores.
WHAT IS
HYDRAFACIAL:
 Simply broken down…
 Hydro = Water
 Derma = Layers of the skin
 Abrasion= Abrasive rubbing or removing
 Hydro-dermabrasion is an advanced form of exfoliation using
water.
WHAT IS HYDRO-DERMABRASION?
 A clinical procedure that uses a water jet, combined with a
variety of applicator heads and a vacuum suction, to remove
the outer dead layers of the epidermis whilst helping to release
pimples and every day dirt.
 Helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and
scarring.
 This treatment can be performed on a variety of areas on the face
and body, including the neck, chest, back and hands.
 Hydro-dermabrasion is a deeply effective treatment for renewing
a fresh, young-looking glow to your skin. It is one of the simplest
and least disruptive skin treatments to have.
As a non-surgical method of skin rejuvenation, Hydro-dermabrasion is quick,
convenient, and painless, immediately restoring younger, smoother looking skin
without the need for lasers.
SURGICAL OR
NON SURGICAL
 Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
 Delivering intense hydration to the skin
 Cleansing and exfoliating
 Improving inflammation and redness
 Reducing the appearance of acne
 Correcting skin blemishes
 Improving skin tone and texture
 Creating a bright, radiant complexion
 Reducing enlarged pores
 Eliminating blackheads and whiteheads
HYDRA FACIAL BENEFITS
TYPES OF HYDRAFACIAL MACHINES
TYPES OF MACHINES AVAILABLE
TYPES
BRIEF PARTS OF MACHINE
BASIC PRINCIPLE
 A handheld, mechanical exfoliation technique using vibration technology. Sometimes
referred to as micro-current .
 The vibration gently shakes and dislodges the cells, allowing any trapped or built up dirt,
blackheads and the dead skin, to become loose or free.
 When a little pressure is applied to the skin as it glides across the skin, it can be swiftly
removed with the blade edge within a single pass.
 The blade is held at a 45 degree angle and must be performed over dampened/wet skin
using a substance such as ultrasound gel. This will produce a fine visible moisture mist.
SKIN SCRUBBER (EXFOLIATION)
TREATMENT.
 Radio-frequency (RF) therapy, also called radiofrequencyskin tightening, is a
nonsurgical method of tightening your skin, by stimulating collagen and
elastin.
 The procedure involves using energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin
known as your dermis. This heat stimulates the fibro blasts to produce collagen
and elastin.
 Must always be used with a medium i.e. gels suitable for electro-therapy or this
could lead to a potential burning.
RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) TREATMENT.
PRE AND POST RF APPEARANCE OF
DERMIS AND EPIDERMIS
 Ultra-Sound - This is a highly effective method of
pushing or penetrating products into the skin. By
using ultrasound waves.
.
ULTRASOUND
 One of the effects ultrasound creates is cavitation – the
formation and collapse of gas bubbles. The intensity of
cavitation causes small holes to appear within the surface of
the skin, in-turn enlarging inter-cellular spaces for topically
applied formulations to be deeply absorbed.
HOW IT WORKS
 Cryo simply means: Involving or producing cold, especially
extreme cold. The Cryo attachment cools the skin down to by
reducing the normal temperature of the skin therefore.
 Applying the cold has many benefits to the skin including the
reduction of redness, swelling and inflammation. This is
achieved by triggering vasoconstriction within the skins blood
vessels therefore restricting the amount of fluid within the vessels.
CRYO-FACIAL TREATMENT.
The Oxygen “Spray” is designed to nourish the skin
and promote collagen growth, by spraying highly
concentrated oxygen right into the epidermal layer of
the skin
OXYGEN TREATMENT “SPRAY”.
 Oxygenation leads to skin renewal by increasing the skin
fibers and the removal of cellular toxins. In addition to this
it will stimulate collagen production therefore reducing the
appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Increased oxygen
intake leads to a healthier complexion.
 Using an infusion with vitamins, minerals, essential
nutrients, and botanical extracts can be added to further
boost the treatment results or used as a stand alone treatment.
BENEFITS AND EFFECTS OF OXYGEN
TREATMENT
LED MASK:
PHOTOTHERAPY
 A HydraFacial is a gentle cosmetic treatment that combines cleansing, extracting, and depositing serums into your skin.
Sometimes referred to as “hydradermabrasion,” this treatment uses a vacuum-like machine to suck up dead skin and
extract clogged pores.
 HydraFacial treatment consists of four steps:
 Step 1: Cleansing and Exfoliation.
 Cleansing of face is done with some aha cleanser to remove and to loosen up the outermost layers.
 We use a small Exfoliation tip, which helps cleanse the skin’s surface. This tool will open up your pores and sweeps the
uppermost layer of makeup debris and dead skin cells away, exfoliating the skin’s surface as it moves along your face.
PRE AND POST APPEARANCE OF SKIN
 Cross Infection occurs through the spread of disease from one
person to another through poor hygiene practices.
 Secondary Infection can occur as a result to injury to the client
during treatment or if the client already has a cut, if bacteria
penetrates the skin and cause infection.
 Sterilisation and sanitation procedures are used in order to
minimize or destroy harmful micro-organisms which could
causeinfection.
PRECATIONS & CONTRAINDICATIONS
 Patients suffering from long term diabetes
 Patients suffering from heart conditions
 Patients with metal implants in the treatment area
 Patients with open wounds
 Patients with pacemakers
 Pregnant patients
TO AVOID ANY UNWANTED SIDE EFFECTS THE PATIENTS WHO ARE
CATEGORISED UNDER THE FOLLOWING SHOULD NOT BE TREATED
