2. What is Microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion, a type of mechanical exfoliation, uses a closed vacuum to shoot crystals onto the skin, bumping off cell buildup that is then vacuumed up by suction. Mechanical exfoliants work by physically “bumping off” dead cell buildup. Microdermabrasion is a quick, non-invasive procedure used to resurface the skin with aluminum oxide crystals which gently remove the top layer of the skin containing dead skin cells. It then promotes the growth of new skin cells in the basal layer of the dermis. The technique exfoliates and gently resurfaces the skin, promoting the formation of new, smoother, clearer skin.

4. Microdermabrasion machines work quite simply as an electronic vacuum for the skin. First, they send crystals to the skin surface at high speed which causes exfoliation to occur. The machine then sucks away spent crystals along with the exfoliated skin. These two processes of pumping and vacuuming occur when the top of the wand touches the skin. How Does it Work ? Any Microdermabrasion Machine will clean pores thoroughly and hinder any future breakouts if treated on a regular basis.
