6. production reflection
- 2. Process I began be creating the music aspect of the 'show'. I collected music from youtube and downloaded them to place into audition. i also downloaded a static sound effect from youtube to use in the transitions between songs which was later taken out because it didn't sound quite as i hoped it would have. The music was then put into order and the songs were blended using cutting tools and fading tools.
- 3. Process For the talking aspect of the show, I needed backing tracks while i talked so it wouldn't sound really dull. I got a song that I had downloaded earlier and turned the decibels down so that my voice was able to be heard over it. I also downloaded various sound effects from shows on the internet for the introduction to my news segment. On these sound files, i used the loop tool and also changed the pitch on them to make them vary a little. This gave the show a very news-like feel.
- 4. Process I then began to create a script for my news section. For this, i went to the bizzare section of the metro news website and picked a couple of random stories that sounded weird. From here, i was able to map out what i would say both leading up to the news and after. I was also able to decide when certain aspects of the show would happen/begin such as the music mix and the stories themselves.
- 5. Process I finally recorded all of the news section and the presenting needed for the show and added them to the news section and correct places. i then added the whole mix file to the session and blended it in to the end of the news section using many of the tools such as looping, fading, cutting and pitch changing (all of which can be heard in the final product).
