IG2 Task 4
- 1. This is a printscreen of my layered sound effects sequence. It is a soundscape of a narrative set in a rainforest. I used sound effects to create the ambience of a shoot out. To create the sound of a rainforest, I used two different clips of birds sqwarking and a long clip of the sound of rain. To create the sound of the shoot out I used a clip of a shotgun and copied that 3 times so that it sounded like the same gun, I also used a clip of someone making noise like that had been hurt and someone screaming so that it sounded as if someone had been injured. I then used a clip of someone running on gravel so that it sounded as if the person who had been shootin was running away from the crimescene. I used the fade out tool to make it sound like the person running away on the gravel was distancing themselve from the screaming woman. I clicked on item properties to choose the shape of the volume curve.
- 2. This is where I rendered out the sequence into one track. I had to edit the output properties, so that the sample rate was 44100 Hz. I made sure the bit depth was 16, I choose this bit depth because its apropriate for when I embed the soundtrack to soundcloud and it gives the track a still good quality. I saved the track as a WAV file because if i wanted to burn the track to a CD or soundclip it is a good outpout format. I then clicked render 1 file to start the rendering.
- 3. This is showing that the rendering of the soundtrack was complete so that I can play this through Windows Media Player to make sure that it had rendered properly. After I had done that I can now upload the track to soundcloud.
