Data as collected for 18 children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder ranging from ages 3;0 to
3;11. There were eight males and eight females who participated in the study and each child was
match on both gender and severity of autism and randomly placed in the ABA therapy group, the
Floortime therapy group, or the control group. Each child received a diagnosis of an ASD using the
DSM V criteria by a qualified, independent Speech Language Pathologist from the community prior to
entry into the study. These children had no prior exposure to therapy programs and did not receive
outside services during the enrollment of the study.

Assessments and therapy sessions took place in university clinic room that was equipped with two
child sized tables, two child sized chairs, and a toy shelf with a variety of age appropriate toys that

There is an uncertainty whether Gene is in front or behind Finny, however, Gene and the readers
understand Gene is in front, who pushes Finny off. I display Gene on the tree with lax Finny falling
down the branches, I made Finny falling like an elegant leaf floating down to the ground. Moreover,
Finny extends his athletic arms outwards to Gene like a child to his stuffed teddy bear. This scene is a
cause to Gene s bitter step to adulthood.

When considering alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine, it is actually hard to classify them all as the same
thing because they all have their own individual effects on the body. The classmate was correct when
saying marijuana and alcohol have similar effects on behavior, but even then, they are only similar to a
certain extent. Alcohol and marijuana are similar because they both act as a depressant on the body s
nervous system when entered into the blood stream. Both substances cause the individual to become
impaired in one way or another and lose the ability to do some of the things sober people can do.
However, alcohol causes the body to lose balance, alter the individuals to speak properly, impairs their
sleep cycle, and at times causes aggressive behavior. Marijuana, on the other hand, over activates the
cannabinoid receptors causing a disruption of memory, alters perceptions in regards to sound and
movement by slowing it down, and numbing portions of the body as a whole. When adding cocaine
into the equation, that s where the comparison is thrown off completely. Cocaine does the complete
opposite and acts as a stimulant by blocking the removal of dopamine in the synapses of the brain
(National Institute of Drug Abuse) . Cocaine causes the consumer to be energetic, talkative, and
mentally alert which later leads to them crashing and hitting an extreme low. Cocaine causes
tachycardia, arrhythmia, abdominal pain, and possible strokes/seizures due to the long term respiratory
