Cyber Bullying Persuasive Essay
Inspirational speaker, writer, and community leader Anna Maria Chávez once said Cyber Bullies can
hide behind a mask of anonymity online, and do not need direct physical access to their victims to do
unimaginable harm. Cyberbullying is negatively taking over technology and adults aren t aware of the
potential dangers it has on their children. To start, children and teens do not talk to their parents about
the acts of cyberbullying that occur on their technology. Over half of young teens do not tell their
parents when cyberbullying occurs. (Webstar, 2017) This is a big problem. This means that children
are hurting, the result of cyberbullying, and they are afraid to talk to their parents, or any adult for that
matter. They are keeping their emotions bottled up inside them, and parents have no idea this is
happening. In fact, only 1 in 10 teens tell an adult if they have been a cyberbully victim. (Webstar,
2017) These numbers should not be the effect of cyberbullying. Children have to seek help from
adults and stop the cyber bullies hiding behind their screen. Might I add, it should not be all on the
children s shoulders. They are the victim, and they should stand up for themselves, but why should it
be all on them? Parents have to be on the lookout for cyber bullying these days. Only 32% of parents
actually monitor their children s social networking activities, while 28% admitted they only
occasionally, rarely or never monitor activity. (Anderson, 2016) This 28% of

Pros And Cons Of Dalai Lama
While these two viewpoints are incredibly different, points can be taken from both in order to achieve
a compromise that promotes humanitarian values and morals without risking the sacrifice of security
and culture. I think that the most important thing that the Dalai Lama s argument proposes is not
condemning our fellow man. This is not to say that everyone you meet in life deserves the compassion
he suggests to show, but not passing judgment on someone without due cause is a staple of western
society. He is right to say that we should not abandon this just because those being judged come from
other parts of the world. In turn, the self fulfilment and happiness that come from being a more loving
and compassionate person gives enough reason ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The easiest way to achieve this is to actively support and encourage a more inclusive integration
process. While refugees are a special scenario, if someone immigrates to a country they will, for the
most part, want to become part of that country. If we as a whole are able to encourage this smooth
integration without asking someone to denounce or cut back on as big of a part of their life as religion
can be, Islamification will be a thing of the past. By promoting a unity of religions, not separate sects
of them, none will feel oppressed or unheard in their country and feel the need to take matters into
their own hands. Clearly, the solution here is simply creating a balance between the two opposing
viewpoints. This compromise will take the strengths of each argument and remove the totality and
radicality from them, making it by far the most logical course of action to be taken. We, as a human
race, need to promote a society which accepts all religions, but does not allow them to be involved in
policy making or other government proceedings in order to create a sense of security and structure
while allowing for compassion and happiness for all

Summary Of The Meatworks By Robert Gray
The nature of discovery is highly impactful when one is confronted with multiple worlds; enabling a
physical and spiritual connection to places, ideals and society, transforming one s perception over
time. Australian poet Robert Gray s The Meatworks , confronts an individual s beliefs to influence
their standpoint on a desensitized society. Journey, North Coast introduces the idea that re awakened
realities emancipate one s connection of the natural world. and Director Daniel Sousa s Feral explores
into how being taken into an unfamiliar reality leads to discovering one s natural world. It is within
these poems that uncover the highly impactful nature of discovery.
Being confronted with the reality of a desensitised society advances one s self to a heightened
awareness of that reality. The Meatworks exhibits this idea through the disregard for non human life as
seen when directly exploiting pigs to earn a living. The enjambment Gray employs within But I settled
for one of the lowest paid jobs, making mince, the furthest end from those bellowing, sloppy yards.
Outside the pigs fear . Along with first person and high modality expresses how both physically and
mentally uncomfortable the persona is with being more involved with the slaughter, revealing his
standpoint as a humanist, empathising with the pigs. Gray delves further into this empathy, directly
describing the result of desensitisation in arm thick corkscrews, grinding around inside it, meat or

Symbols And Intersects In Shakespeare s Othello
The story Othello contains many secrets and back stabbings. Iaga was the main culprit of all of the
secrets and back stabbings. He played a mind game with everybody who he had a vengeance against.
The main backstabbing move by Iago was when he used the handkerchief against Cassio. The
handkerchief symbolizes the fidelity of Desdemona and it shows the turning point of the whole play.
Desdemona was a very faithful lady to Othello but one little slip up made that turn into a different
story. Othello gave Desdemona a handkerchief as a wedding present. It meant more to Othello than
Desdemona had thought. It had come from his mother. It had been spotted with strawberries on it
which had been dyed with blood of a virgin (Shakespeare, 780). It also

Mise En Scene In Mary Poppins
One of Disney s very best musicals, Mary Poppins is an unforgettable children s classic. It combines
catchy songs, the sarcastic dialogue of the unsurpassable Julie Andrews, and a plot that employs
cleanly integrated traditionally animated characters. Part fairytale, part daydream, and all magic, the
sights, music, and laughs propel this Academy Award winning picture to the top of the lists for the
greatest family films ever made. By utilizing specific techniques director, Robert Stevenson, is able to
evoke certain reactions from the audience members. Director Robert Stevenson, at the point of this
movie release, had become the house director for Disney s live action features, however, in my
opinion his best photography work was in Mary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lighting in Mary Poppins is a three point sequence of lighting making the film bright and colorful,
making the story feel more lifelike. For example, the mise en scene in Mary Poppins the scenery, like
at the park, and photography is very cartoon like. The movie is basically played off the imagination of
the two child characters in the movie. The lighting technique contributed to the film as a whole, by
allowing it to be colorful and full of imagination just the way the writer wanted the film to become on
the screen. A favorite scene, towards the end of the movie, of mine is when the Banks family goes to
the park to fly their kite as a family. As the director shows a shot of the entire family, the Banks family
is in the center of the frame. As well, the objects that are surrounding the Banks allow for a balanced
frame. The audience members feel, for once in the film, that the Banks family has finally come
together and everyone can feel the love the all have for one another which is exactly the feeling the
director wanted to evoke from the audience. Another example, that goes in the Mise en Scene of Mary
Poppins, is the proxemic patterns between Mary and Bert. In the scene where Bert and Mary are
dancing, within the chalk painting, they are within the proxemic pattern of an intimate spacing. The
director wanted to show how

ABSTRACT
In this study we will investigate and compare two types of course sections. One section will be online
and the other will be face to face. The investigators will analyze gender, age and learning styles. These
groups will be evaluated on how effective they were in completing the tasks of the course. The two
sections will be taught in the same semester and use the same instructional material. In this paper, the
investigators determined that there were no significant differences in test scores, ... Show more content

From these research questions several hypotheses have aspired answers:
Between these two groups, no significant difference is perceived in the effectiveness of these
instructional learning styles.
There are no significant differences between the styles of instructional learning in the competencies of
this course to either group. There are no differences between the test scores and final grades for either
group.
There is no difference between the effectiveness that was perceived from the courses from either
group.
Student Selection The study selections for students were open to different ages and gender. The course
outline was the same FTF as for the OL course. The demographics for these groups show that the
students registered for the OL classes were a little older than the students registered in the FTF class
(Diaz Cartnal, 1999). Each group would be given the same instructional course outline, test, and final
project. A variable that might affect this study is whether a student selects an OL course over an FTF
course due to their experience with technology. The demographics for this group ranges with

Stanislavsky is the father of today s style of acting....
Stanislavsky is the father of today s style of acting. Constantine Stanislavsky (1863 1938) was the
innovator for method acting. He changed the process of acting in which actors immerse themselves
into their characters as much as possible. He wanted acting to change to a realistic art. Stanislavsky
wanted his actors to avoid habitual mannerisms on stage (Worthen, 33). He used a method that
includes five techniques to help an actor submerge into their characters. The magic if, re education,
observation, motivation and emotional memory are all techniques Stanislavsky used to help mold his
actors (Bradford).
The first technique requires the actor to use their imagination. The magic if requires the actor to ask
themselves what my character ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He taught his actors to research the role by diving into the script and breaking down the characters
motivations. Then recalling their personal experiences and forming a motivation. It is then the actor
could achieve a more genuine performance (Bishop, 1999).
Stanislavsky s methods are still being used in today s acting. In the article, Building Characters: The
Work of Celebrity Impersonators, the author writes about how impersonators use Stanislavsky s
method. Ferris writes, the method is by far a more popular system in contemporary American theatre,
film, and television acting but it serves a purpose when discussing celebrity impersonation. When
impersonating Marilyn Monroe, the actor uses the method by renting all of Marilyn s movies, studying
every detail from the makeup to body language. Impersonators truly use the method by diving into the
character completely (Ferris 2011). A new concept of method acting has recently hit the news is when
actors take their performance to an extreme level. Articles titled Method acting gone too far, touch
base with the extreme actions actors endure to play their characters accurately. One of the more
experienced method actors, Daniel Day Lewis is known for wild means of preparing for roles. Weeks
of slouching in his wheelchair got him two broken ribs for his role in My Left Foot. He also forced
people to spoon feed him his meals to better get into character. Tom

Essay On Goal Setting
At my intern site, individual goal setting for the client s is a little tricky at times only because we don t
offer individualized treatment plans for the clients that attend each week. At Youth Outlook, member
attendance is optional each week, and we don t always see the same teenagers every week at each of
the drop in sites. Therefore, it becomes a little more difficult when trying to set goals for some of the
clients at the agency. At the agency when a staff member encounters an individual who requires an
intervention due to a problem, they are experiencing. The staff will do their best to identify what the
client needs to address the issue. Often the staff members will process the problem with the client and

At each site, the client s often come up with a shared goal that everyone would like to work on.
Recently, at one of the groups, I talked about establishing healthy boundaries with the clients. As a
group, all of the clients decided to incorporate weekly guidelines for setting appropriate limits with
one another during their time together. I thought this was an excellent example of the clients coming
together to support one another while attending weekly sessions. Another recent example of shared
goals for the group was setting up a Halloween party at the drop at some of the drop in sites. Each
location required some individuals of the group to participate in tasks for the Halloween Parties. Each
person of the group must complete a task such as brining, food, drinks, party favors, or board games.
The ultimate goal for the teenagers was to plan and implement a party for the whole group to enjoy!
At my agency, I have begun working on my goals outlined by my learning agreement. One of my
goals is to develop programming for the adolescents at each location that I attend every week. The
programming that the agency has provided in the past has included educational topics, health
education, along with other related issues that pertain to the gay, lesbian and transgender community.
However, one of my goals is to increase programming topics so that the adolescents have more of a
variety different groups each

Moral Justice In Measure For Measure, By William Shakespeare
Measure for Measure is a play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1603 or
1604. Originally published in the First Folio of 1623, where it was listed as a comedy. The play s first
recorded performance occurred in 1604. The play s main themes include justice, mortality and mercy
in Vienna, and the dichotomy between corruption and purity: some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall.
Mercy and virtue prevail, as the play does not end tragically, with virtues such as compassion and
forgiveness being exercised at the end of the production. While the play focuses on justice overall, the
final scene illustrates that Shakespeare intended for moral justice to temper strict civil justice: a
number of the characters receive understanding and leniency, instead of the harsh punishment to
which they, according to the law, could have been sentenced. Measure for Measure is often called one
of Shakespeare s problem plays. It was, and continues to be, classified as comedy, though its tone may
defy those expectations. The theme of Measure for Measure is the temperance of justice with mercy.
Merciful justice is juxtaposed throughout with strict enforcement of the law. The duke, Isabella,
Escalus, Mariana, and the Provost all advocate mercy. Only Angelo demands strict adherence to the
law, even to recommending his own execution when his deeds are discovered. Treated with mercy, the
play s criminals respond with repentance, making forgiveness and repentance another

The Evolution Of Wordless Societies Essay
The Evolution of Wordless Societies: From Ancient Egypt Hieroglyphics to Emojis Pictures have been
around long before words as a means of communicating. From ancient to modern civilizations,
pictures and symbols have been used to convey messages and capsulize the history and culture of the
society. Terms like hieroglyphics and emojis refer to systems of writing in which pictures and symbols
represent ideas and sounds. This paper will examine four writing systems of ancient and modern
societies that utilize pictures. Each of the writing systems used pictures along with letters. In some
societies, pictorial uses were reserved for the society s elite, but recently, the use of pictures as
primary text has become more main stream. Throughout time, society s use of pictures and symbols
has transitioned from a more formal to informal method of written communication, however, it has
still maintain its primary purpose.
Ancient Egypt Hieroglyphics was one of the first writing systems to employ pictures. Hieroglyphics
was derived from the Egyptian expression god s words. First developed in Egypt around 3000 B.C.,
the system continued to be used for inscriptions on monuments, wall paintings, and religious texts
until the A.D. 300s. (Wallenfels 160) Early inscriptions of this artistic writing form can be found in a
group of seals bearing the names of early Egyptian kings, pyramid Texts, which consist of the funeral
liturgy found in royal pyramids and autobiographies found in

Censorship In Olive s Ocean
There are many books that have been banned or challenged nationwide. Books get banned and
challenged for a variety of reasons. Olive s Ocean, by Kevin Henkes, was removed from the shelves
due to several claims of it having sexual content and inappropriate language. A challenge is an attempt
to remove or restrict materials based on the objections of a person or group. A challenge against a
book is a formal written complaint that requests a book to be removed. Challenges aren t just someone
expressing their point of view; they re an attempt to remove material from educational places.
Challenges are viewed as a threat to freedom of speech and choice. The First Amendment guarantees

The ALA office for intellectual freedom promotes awareness of challenges towards library material.
The ALA promotes the freedom to choose and the freedom to express one s opinion. The ALA OIF
compiles lists of challenged and bans as reported to the media and submitted to them. The ALA has
formed a banned books week, which is celebrated the last week of September each year. Banned
books week brings national attention to the consequences of censorship. The ALA also supports
librarians that are facing challenges to materials in their libraries. Banned books are usually removed
from libraries or schools. Online resources such as e books and educational websites are also being
blocked and filtered in libraries. People believed that e books were virtually censor proof and that they
would reduce the number of books being banned. Teachers in Colorado were subject to be removed if
they were caught teaching from the school boards banned books list. There are more laws regulating
public schools than public libraries. The Supreme Court deals with many cases about censorship and
banning books. In 1982 the Supreme Court decided that the Constitution does not permit the official

On The Waterfront, by Elia Kazan Essay
For a near championship boxer to fall from the limelight after a defeat is fairly common, but to lose
due to his own brother betting against him is unheard of. Elia Kazan s On the Waterfront portrays the
role of this former fighter living his life as a bum under a local mob boss. This movie stands out from
how movies are portrayed today. It didn t have a lot of fast chase scenes, immense battles, or over the
top special effects. This movie focused on its characters, by portraying their reactions to the
cumbersome niche they play on the dockyard. It was driven by a series of intertwined conflicts, and a
strong mix of character development and storytelling, and made for a phenomenal piece of art.
Conflict is what viewers watch movies for, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She is portrayed as moral innocence, beckoning to Terry to tell the truth and bring justice to those that
slew her brother. She helps the audience relate to an outsider looking in on a society that has accepted
their role as slaves to those with greater power. Father Barry, a minister who preaches against the
crimes of the mob, pushes Terry along the path to truth. He urges him to speak out against his
oppressors for the good of the entire dock. He brings a strong sense of justice and righteous action to a
community otherwise broken and accepting of their roles as thralls. The conflicts fueling this story are
also provided by a livid cast of characters and a dark story to be told. Development of both characters
and story can be hard to draw a fine line on, but On the Waterfront walks that line like an acrobat.
There was a strong emphasis on getting the viewer to feel what the main characters were feeling. As
Father Barry gave his crucifixion speech, the emotions and reactions portrayed by the father and his
onlookers simply added to the powerful statements he was preaching. The dockworkers with no
connections in the mob knew he spoke the truth, and yet their faces showed that they were too afraid
to even mention working conditions or recent killings committed by the mob. Although the movie had
an emphasis towards building knowledge only about the main characters, background characters only
amplified the feelings the audience

American painting. During the outset of his career, his style lacked the American aesthetic. Whirl he
was studying at the New York School of Art and Design, he built a relationship with his professor and

the leading teacher there. However, Henri being an American nationalist painter, he educated in

Morality In Plato s Euthyphro
Morality in Euthyphro
To reach an understanding whether acts are immoral or moral we must ask ourselves what we consider
to be immoral or moral. According to Protagoras first claim on moral relativism, he states Man is the
measure of all things, of the things that are, that they are, and of the things that are not, that they are
not. The way something appears to me, is true to me and the way something appears to you, is true to
you. Consequently, meaning there is no absolute truth. Aristotle and Plato, both argue holding that the
view on moral objectivism is that there is a reality or realm of object and facts existing independent of
the mind. What actions are right to some, might be wrong to others. Essentially, morality is arbitrary.
It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Morality intakes are relative to an individual s beliefs. If Euthyphro thinks punishing his father for
unmoral acts is moral than that is right for him. Both Plato and Aristotle would think that Protagoras s
claims are contradicting because if he says that relativism is truth for him than it would be false for
those who don t believe in relativism. Aristotle and Plato believe that there must be an objective truth,
something that is true for everyone at any given place or time. Taking an objective approach may not
always be relevant, particularly in cases where it is impossible to be objective because of the relevant
facts and viewpoints. In this case, how can someone know for sure that there is universal truth? Not
everyone is going to believe in the same principles as others, regardless of time, culture, place, etc.
Therefore, I believe there is no objective truth to

The Creation Of The Mayan Creation
Creation myths and stories come in many different forms based on the culture it appeals too. The
Maya Indians were a group of tribes who lived around Central America and Mexico. Their creation
myth is one that is known as an example of creation ex nihilo which is creation from nothing. This
myth or collection of stories reveals that the Mayan culture values the natural world, winning, and
worship. The Mayan creation story starts off with the Earth being nothing but water. Then there are six
deities or that lay in the water and helped Hurakan create the Earth. The power they had gave the
Earth energy and spirit. They planted a ceiba tree to separate the sky and Earth. Plants and animals
were created but animals could not speak or worship the deities. They decided to create humans from
mud but were destroyed in a flood because they had no souls. Next wooded humans were created but
destroyed as well. The surviving ones are supposed to have become monkeys. There was no Sun or
Moon yet, but a bird named Seven Macaw said he was both and the two hero twins killed him. The
two twins played the game of ball and challenged the Lord of the Underworld. By beating them, they
brought their Father back to life who became the Maize God. The twins became the Sun and Moon
and since the Earth now had light, the deities created the final humans. These humans were made of
the white and yellow corn (Smithsonian, The Creation Story). This is where the story of Mayan
creation ends. The Maya

The Act Of The Indian Tribes Of This Province
The Act to encourage the Gradual Civilization of the Indian Tribes of this Province, and to amend the
Laws respecting Indians was an Act with the goal of placing indigenous people at the same level as
British North American citizens. In essence, indigenous people would have the same or similar legal
rights such that all distinctions would be removed between them and British North Americans.
Furthermore, this Act was supposed to grant and help indigenous people gain rights with respect to
property ownership.
This Act had fifteen regulations that were applicable only to indigenous people who decided on
becoming enfranchised Indians and hence, British subjects. In becoming a British subject, these
individuals would lose their First Nations status. Therefore, while this Act may appear to help
Indigenous people, its ultimate goal was to create new subjects for the crown and hence, remove Frist
Nation s status.
Examples of the type of regulations established in this Act are as followed: 1) The act shall apply only
to individuals who are Indians, or have Indian blood, or are intermarried with Indians. Therefore, these
individuals must be part of an Indian Tribe which resides on some land that is their own and was never
surrendered to the Crown. Furthermore, it is only these particular individuals who are entitled to the
regulations of this Act and of other Acts. 2) A commissioner will be appointed such that they are in
charge of examining the Indians who want to

Journey Motif Essay
In literature, the Journey is often a metaphor for discovery. The journey motif is used in Coleridge s
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It is also shown in Hawthorne s My Kinsman, Major Molineux and
Young Goodman Brown. In these stories, each main character changes sometime between the
beginning and the end of the story. In addition, religion plays a part in each of these stories. Typically,
in journey literature the hero encounters several obstacles that he or she must overcome.
In Coleridge s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, the Mariner shows negativity. The Mariners moral
vision is so impaired that his comparisons are persistently pessimistic. This pessimism is seen
repeatedly in the similes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By this, the Mariner shows the beginning of his attitude change. At this point in the poem, the Mariner
s fate begins to change when he is rescued by a hermit. The Mariner endures tremendous physical
agony and starts to recognize the importance of all living things after his lowest point, the curse. An
example of this is when the spell breaks at the point in which the snakes are blessed. As he regains a
sense of beauty, the Mariner observes the snakes and realizes how beautiful they are. He begins to see
things brightly and the mariner s comparisons and references are less pessimistic and dark.
Hawthorne s My Kinsman, Major Molineux, Robin s Journey is clear. Robin is on a journey to find
Major Molineux and it is his first journey to town. It is ironic about his shrewd youth; as he continues
his journey, he becomes shrewd. His journey is an acquisition of learning, especially since he only has
the education of a youth. When Robin goes into the tavern, he is guided by a murmur of voices. He is
confident enough when speaking to the innkeeper that he is befitted to be the Major s relative. Robin
doesn t understand parts of his journey with the innkeeper as his guide. As the story moves on, Robin
starts to be less confident and instead, more cautious. Doubt begins to seep in. Although he feels
sympathy, he gives into the opportunities that he has. Robin begins to get desperate and starts to

Alison In The Miller s Tale
Throughout The Miller s Tale the representation of women is solely shown through the character of
Alison. Her character throughout the text is shown in a very negative and anti feminist light. Women
are mainly used and depicted as objects of desire; she is only ever being described physically, for
example when he describes the clothes she wears Whit was hir smok, and broaden al bifore (Chaucer,
2012, p.267) and not what s in her mind. It s as if women were only useful for relationships, marriage
and what they could provide sexually Or yit for any good yeman to wedde (Chaucer, 2012, p.268).

Alison is consistently described as an animal about to be ravaged, a piggesnye, For any lord to leggen
in his bedde (Chaucer, 2012, p.268) which tells us that animals are unable to control their lust so we
assume Alison is unable to. Further animal references, If she hadde been a mous, And he a cat, he
wolde hire hente (Chaucer, 2012, p.269) and As any wesele hir body gent and small (Chaucer, 2012,
p.267) the metaphors here turn Alison into an object that is meant to be ravaged by the men around
her, rather than a person who makes her own decisions. Alison s character borrows a lot from
misogynistic stereotypes about women, which are seen as liars and cheats. The interesting thing is that
although she is being compared to animals, she is being compared to the animals that are attacked by
predators even though when you usually describe someone as an animal it s usually very powerful and
lustful such a lion and not as a mouse and weasel, almost implying that the representation of women
can be either be seen as powerful or weak, in this case it depicts Alison, and more importantly the
representation of women as a whole to be weak characters which are overpowered by

Improving HTTP Performance Using Stateless TCP
Improving HTTP Performance Using Stateless TCP In this paper a server side approach is made
which can reduce processing load per connection. The advantages of running web servers over a basic
transport protocol that is similar to TCP are studied here. The stateless TCP for HTTP decreases the
kernel resources required per TCP connection. So it increases the number of client initiated HTTP
connections per second. Stateless TCP modifications decreases the server s CPU usage and other TCP
memory requirements. This helps to serve small webpages under overloaded situations. Two
Algorithms (David A Hayes, Improving http performance using stateless tcp, 2011) are mentioned that
show the basic operation of stateless TCP, one for incoming packets and one for outgoing packets

Lit Review Special Education
Lit Review Draft March 2016 Melissa Tandy
Research Question: Does the use of collaborative learning, including the online resource, support the
teaching practices and retention of new special education teachers?
Education is challenging profession, which requires continual professional learning and development
focused on effective instruction practices to increase student achievement. New special education
teachers are faced with managing continually evolving models of delivering instruction and support,
diverse student needs, paperwork, and high expectations of collaborating with multiple stakeholders
such as parents, administrators, paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and/or community
agencies. Researchers continue to identify ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Online tools/options
In recent years, technology has become recognized as an effective tool for providing learning and
collaboration opportunities for educators, particularly in rural area. The use of technology can break
down the barrier of distance and compensate for the lack of peers for teachers in rural district.
Researchers have found new teachers, including special education teachers can utilize various forms
and options to connect, learn, and receive support to increase their teaching skills resulting in an
increased retention rates. In Idaho local districts, the state department of education, and several higher
education institutes implemented a teacher preparatory program for special educators, which
incorporated online courses, field experiences throughout the teacher preparation program, and
collaboration time with trained mentors (Johnson, 2009). The research results indicated the strong
collaborative relationships and use online learning increases the effectiveness of special education
teachers and student learning

Child Neglect Within The United States
Child neglect refers to the continued failure to offer a child with the necessary protection, and care.
Such protection and attention involve the necessities such as food, medical care, clothing, as well as
shelter (Conte 7). In addition, lack of proper supervision for the young children for an extended
duration of time is also child neglect. There are various signs of possible neglect. These include;
inconsistent school attendance, evidence that health care is not being provided for in a child, or lack of
proper hygiene (Conte 9). The child may also appear to be lacking clothes or poorly nourished.
The issue of child neglect is one of the most current forms of child maltreatment especially in the
United States. According to the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System, child neglect is
referred to as a kind of maltreatment which relates to the failure of a caregiver to offer the needed, age
appropriate care, despite the fact that the parent may be financially stable to do so (Conte 13). Neglect
in many instances is described by an ongoing pattern that relates to lack of care and is observed by
individuals in close contact with a child. Child neglect can occur in cases such as a parent or a
caregiver emotionally or physically neglecting a child (Conte 17). This issue has a lengthy history.
Many children have been subjected to neglect by their parents or other adults, for a considerable long
period. Children who were under the English common law were given a

The Main Reasons For The Fall Of Tsar Nicholas II In 1917
Was the impact of WW1 the main reason for the fall of Tsar Nicholas II in 1917?
The fall of the Romanov Dynasty in 1914 proved that the Tsar could not handle the problems of
Russia. Ironically, he would have been ideal as a constitutional monarch, but was adamant against the
idea. As the First World War started Russia s problems arises, from short term and long term causes.
The war brought back inflation which led to demonstrations over food shortages combined with
workers grievances, (Hosking, 2012, p. 91) thus this destroyed Nicholas s image as Father of Russia.
Military became ineffective as the transport system was not adequate, thus leading to food supplies
decreasing in key cities such as Petrograd. Historians believe the impacts of the First World War led to
Russian society becoming unstable and was ultimately the main reason of the downfall of the Tsar.
However other factors, such as the Tsarina placing large amounts of trust into Rasputin who was
notorious for his reputation as an alcoholic and a womanizer (Westwood, 2002, p. 215) and the role of
the revolutionaries due to Lenin promising peace, land and bread, eventually leading to the growth of
the Bolsheviks Party. Although, it can most rightfully be deemed that the impact of the war was the
main reason for the fall of Tsar Nicholas II in 1917.
The First World War was seen as a devastating impact on Tsardom and is seen as the main reason for
the fall of Tsar Nicholas II in 1917. The effect of the war was

Charles Darwin s The Hms Beagle And His Exploration...
Today was the day. Today was the day I would finally get all my answers on the theory of evolution,
from the master himself, or should I say father . As I opened the door, a mysterious old figure stood
with a tortoise by his side: it was Charles Darwin. Quickly and eagerly he went into the dining room
and eagerly cried, Guys! I am very glad to see you all! I need to tell you all everything, everything that
I had found out about! Before my family had fully sat on their seats, he shared fascinating stories
about his adventures and voyages. He began explaining his tails on the famous HMS Beagle and his
exploration of the Galapagos Islands. On his voyage on the Beagle he was instructed to chart stretches
of coastlines of South America, but as he explained that he wasn t any Picasso, his sketches ended up
poorly drawn. As we all know, Darwin has never been the type to enforce rules, and plus charting
coastlines is just the most boring job a person can do. As well as charting, he shared his strange
fascination on his observations of how the characteristics of plants and animals suits only specific
environments in South America. He explained how plants and animals in similar geographic and
climate zones have a similar resemblance. With great enthusiasm, Charles addressed my half brother
and wife saying, Tom Bradey, 3 time MVP and 4 time super bowl winner, oh and the beautiful
Vanessa Hudgens Ramolia! You must see how my observations and these fossils have similar

Create A Resume
The first thing you should consider when looking for a job is your resume. A resume is a blueprint that
details what you have accomplished with regards to education, experience, skills acquisition,
workplace successes, and progressive responsibility and/or leadership (Patricia and Sherfield 161).
Many people struggle with landing a job because of their resume. In my essay, I will be providing an
outline to how to create a resume. I have collected information from online, personal references, and
the class s textbook; AOT 133 Professional Development. To show a difference from a well put
together resume verse a poorly written resume, I created two resumes; one prior to learning how to
create a resume and one after learning. When you prepare your resume, keep your future employer in
mind. Include your full name and make sure your contact information is up to date and accurate so any
future employer can contact you if necessary. You should not include your birthday, gender, or address

Color can also determine perception and time; as in The Skeleton Key with the light, moss and old
trees; the colors of light, neutral and earth tones are considered the good powers. On the other hand
when we think of evil, blood or violence we think of the color red. When someone gets hurts and there
s blood, immediately it triggers a warning signal to another person; danger, somethings happened.
When we see a lot of blood we know it s a dangerous situation and it means possible death. To some it
s Dracula, sacrifice, devil, and fire. Everyone has a right to believe how they want. In The Skeleton
Key we see throughout the movie the color red; how red lines of red brick dust are placed in various
locations. Caroline uses the brick dust to try to keep Violet, evil out. Surprisingly, flabbergasted by the
results, Caroline realizes the truth about Violet when she will not enter the room. Although Hoodoo is
a religion, it s not real unless you believe it s real; like witchcraft and voodoo. When Caroline goes in
the secret room of the attic, she discovers hair, blood, bones and hoodoo ritual paraphernalia. Caroline

Importance Of Happiness In Everyday Life
Happiness in Everyday Life Early morning, the birds start chirping and the crisp, cool air that glides
through the windows awake the whole city. The smell of the bloomed flowers in the garden refreshes,
and relaxes your whole state of mind. Sitting comfortably on the wooden porch, drinking hot brewed
coffee and listening to the sounds of nature washes all your worries away. With a clear mind, the
shining sun that squeezes between the smoky clouds reminds you of a new day. Or perhaps a hot
cleansing bubble bath, filled with a layer of surfactant lavender scented foam, relaxing your body from
head to toe after a long day of work. In both cases, the relaxing and refreshing routines both exhibit
one of the many forms of happiness. Happiness is the state of being happy. Happiness, an important
part of the world today because happiness is really all we ve got, this benefits not only our personal
lives, but our societal lives as well, in this state of mind we can create a more peaceful, energetic, and
compassionate world. The state of being happy and content, started way back in Christian philosophy.
Happiness can include listening to uplifting, relaxing music to boost your mood and appearance.
Being in this state of mind, anything can uplift your mood, such as music. Whether it s being
performed, danced to, or singing along it can increase the way you feel and even lift the spirts up. You
often hear people listening to music when feeling mournful, upset or even just while showering, and
this is because it boosts your mood and makes you feel delightful. Music is a big part of society, it s
played on the radio, elevators, and even performed and taught in middle school. The enjoyment and
jubilation that music brings to everyone in the world today is why it makes a huge impact on those
suffering with depression, anxiety, and even helps with heart rate. For many people happiness is a
condition that the many would consider temporary, which is because they let external situations get in
between. Being emotionally stable and happy can create a positive effect on the world. We can all
relate back to when we undergo some difficult times, or not feeling the greatest. However, I know

Delillo Death s Uncertainty
According to Don DeLillo, a modern author, playwright, and essayist, The modern meaning of life s
end when does it end? How does it end? How should it end? What is the value of life? How do we
measure it? ( Don DeLillo Quotes, 2012). Through this quote, DeLillo questions death s uncertainty
by providing various wonders concerning its mysterious nature. With one of his most popular novels,
White Noise, DeLillo explores many contemporary issues through his characters and plot. DeLillo
frequently explores ideas such as people s dependence on consumerism, the devastating effects of
mediocrity, and the persistent nature of advertisements in order to press a focus on modern society
through lenses of the past and the evolution of society. Just ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

DeLillo utilizes Babette throughout his novel in a similar way to how he uses Jack. In a similar way to
Jack, Babette serves an unformed character towards the beginning of the novel and is built to present
death s uncertainty as one prevalent theme throughout the novel. Some of the evidence which DeLillo
uses to illustrate Babette as a portrayal of death s uncertainty includes Babette s work with the elderly,
Babette s use of Dylar to escape her fear of death, and Babette s obsession with Wilder s ignorance of
death. Firstly, DeLillo goes through the same effort of assigning Babette a symbolic passion which he
goes through with Jack s character. Babette holds the same fervor for her classes teaching the elderly
which Jack holds for his Hitler studies. In this way, Babette serves as a reflection of Jack s character.
Comparatively, while Babette holds many different positions within her life, she also goes to great
lengths to primarily focus on her coaching position in the same way that Jack focuses on his Hitler
studies position. DeLillo employs this same heavy focus on the elderly through Babette s character in
order to press forth his theme of death s uncertainty. Accordingly, in order to gain certainty concerning
death, Babette constructs her employment around the elderly. Consequently, Babette utilizes her
position heavily in order to maintain an intimacy and understanding of death while distancing herself
from death s uncertainty. Babette s classes with the elderly become a means of assessing death s
uncertainty while also existing as Babette s form of understanding it. Secondly, Babette s use of Dylar
towards the end of the novel is a perfect example of her character being faced with death s uncertainty.
Babette turns to using Dylar in order to face her fear of death s uncertainty. As Babette states

The idea of returning to school to master new skills to compete in the workplace is an excellent goal
for any working adult. However, it is important for the working adult to understand success is base
upon the journey taken and the path chosen by someone. One must realize there will be many barriers
and difficulties along the way; however, with dedication, ability to prioritize, and motivation to stay
focus, I will succeed and graduate with my Master degree in Nursing in October 2017. For me to be
successful in achieving this goal, there are different pathways that I must chose and followed. These
are assessing my learning styles, finding ways to manage my time, money, and stress, and setting
S.M.A.R.T goals.
Being motivated is a good start, but personal motivation alone is no guarantee of achieving an
educational objective. The first step that I need to take as I move into my career path journey is
assessing my learning styles. After been out of school for sixteen years, it is clear that the world I
learned from is different than today s method of teaching; therefore, it is important for me to assess
my learning style to find out what works for me. After I had completed the Multiple Pathways

The Ancient Greek Society
Competition in ancient Greece set their society apart from the rest of the world and became a greater
influence on modern society. Competition was pride and a sense of bettering oneself to achieve greater
goals. Hesiod is the first to correlate man to material. He describes mankind in five races of earthly
material based upon their malleability. Overtime the Greeks develop this theory into a popular
mindset, craftsmen and the product. Man becomes what he creates. The desire to learn and grow
invests itself in competition by the conception of medicine, sports, art, writing, language, and war.
Everything in Greek society was recognized as either a tool or a product. Men developed their bodies
in gymnasiums, children expanded their minds in schools, the body was made immune and strong
with medicines, and the brain was built on words, conversation inspired by art, territories seized by
war. Inspired by the ancient Egyptians and their tradition of statue portraiture the Greeks decide to
develop this further. The Kroisos statue was born, next the Kritos boy. From then on sculptors would
rise to challenge to create the perfect man, their earthly version of paying God. The Greeks
incorporated math for order and continued on their hopes for perfection. Next they added drama and
movement in marble structures resembling man and the God s. Greeks built off of other Greeks works.
They used past examples as stepping stones for self improvement. When Greece saw its first example

How Does Gene Mature In A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace by John Knowles, introduces the story of Genes arduous struggle to adulthood
during a time when the U.S. is experiencing World War I, Gene constantly lashes at himself for his
incompetence to understand his adolescent feelings and excel like his honest and capable best friend,
Phineas or nicknamed Finny. Furthermore, Gene avoids confronting his fears in hope to maintain his
childlike happiness at school in conformity, but no doubt, I believe; growth comes only from strife and
struggle, and Gene protects his conformity through obedience to his friends and teachers, thus, Gene is
safe and can not grow. Presumably, Gene, unconsciously, thrusts Finny of a high tree in a fit of
jealousy of Finny s athletic talents, of which, Finny ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I mull over my project for days, finally, I went to scroll through reference images including the Philip
Exeter school and A Separate Peace posters, hoping to draw inspiration for my piece. Meanwhile, I
notice the covers revolves around Gene and Finny sitting and hanging out on the lone tree as best
friends lounging together, which was inaccurate, Gene and Finny never climbs the tree to converse.
Thus, I did not feel the artist made justice of the relevance of the scene. So, I flip through my cool
dark blue sketchbook to a silky and blank neonate page; crisp and full of possibility. Thereupon, I
drew two people as Gene since Leper remarks, I could see both of them... the sun was blazing... the
rays... shooting past them...like golden machine gun fire... them looked... as black as death standing
there...one of them... holding the trunk... sank... up and down... the other one sank and fell (174 176).
There is an uncertainty whether Gene is in front or behind Finny, however, Gene and the readers
understand Gene is in front, who pushes Finny off. I display Gene on the tree with lax Finny falling
down the branches, I made Finny falling like an elegant leaf floating down to the ground. Moreover,
Finny extends his athletic arms outwards to Gene like a child to his stuffed teddy bear. This scene is a
cause to Gene s bitter step to adulthood.

they all ultimately believe the alcohol will help whatever situation they are in. What those individuals

When considering alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine, it is actually hard to classify them all as the same
thing because they all have their own individual effects on the body. The classmate was correct when
saying marijuana and alcohol have similar effects on behavior, but even then, they are only similar to a
certain extent. Alcohol and marijuana are similar because they both act as a depressant on the body s
nervous system when entered into the blood stream. Both substances cause the individual to become
impaired in one way or another and lose the ability to do some of the things sober people can do.
However, alcohol causes the body to lose balance, alter the individuals to speak properly, impairs their
sleep cycle, and at times causes aggressive behavior. Marijuana, on the other hand, over activates the
cannabinoid receptors causing a disruption of memory, alters perceptions in regards to sound and
movement by slowing it down, and numbing portions of the body as a whole. When adding cocaine
into the equation, that s where the comparison is thrown off completely. Cocaine does the complete
opposite and acts as a stimulant by blocking the removal of dopamine in the synapses of the brain
(National Institute of Drug Abuse) . Cocaine causes the consumer to be energetic, talkative, and
mentally alert which later leads to them crashing and hitting an extreme low. Cocaine causes

Research on the Relation between Schizophrenia and Dopamine
The vast majority of medications currently in the marketplace or under development to treat
schizophrenia/psychosis focus on dopamine in one way or another. Most of the medications that are
currently used to treat this condition affect dopamine in a direct way. These drugs specifically target
this substance because historically, psychosis has been linked to unusually high levels of dopamine in
the part of the brain that is known as the stratum (Nauert, 2010). Moreover, there is a fair amount of
research that indicates there is a direct correlation between levels of glutamate, which is another
substance the brain produces and is found in the hippocampus, and dopamine in individuals who
eventually develop schizophrenia.
Because of the prevalence of copious quantities of dopamine in people who have schizophrenia, most
medications attempt to prevent the buildup of dopamine by blocking it in the striatum. Other methods
in which drugs for this condition help to counteract the effects of dopamine, however, are more
indirect. There are medications that are under development that interfere with glutamate signals in the
brain (Nauert, 2010) that are targeted towards affecting glutamate, which in turn will then positively
influence the levels of dopamine that the brain releases. In both ways then, (direct and indirect),
dopamine is the primary focus of schizophrenia medication.
By definition, schizophrenia is a lack of ability on the part of a patient to determine fantasy from

Walker appreciates the dangers of the American/Soviet rivalry. He acknowledges its devastating
impact on Europe as the last and greatest of Europe s civil wars. Yet he also calls the Cold War a in the
end, a resilient and predictable system for the preservation of human civilization. Unlike some recent
commentators, he does not dismiss the Cold War as some kind of colossal mistake that one side or the
other should have been prudent enough to avoid. The Soviet Union s collapse, he argues, seems
inevitable only in retrospect, and the West s fears of Soviet tyranny and expansion were not
unfounded. Throughout his study, Walker never loses sight of the fact that although the Soviet Union
and the West represented opposing ideologies, they employed ... Show more content on

THE END OF HISTORY AND THE LAST MAN is the author s response. His thesis is simple. The
failure of communism and the disappearance of the Soviet Union has resulted in the victory of liberal
democracy and capitalism. There are, he claims, no more challengers. Security and freedom have been
achieved, and consequently, history has ended.
THE END OF HISTORY AND THE LAST MAN ignores the confusing events and details of most
history and is more philosophical, even teleological, in its orientation. The author states that only
liberal democracy and the market economy have satisfactorily provided what Plato claimed to be
necessary for happiness: the appetitive (food and sex), the reasoning (knowledge and truth), and the
need to be recognized as human. Hegel s concept of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis explained the
process of history, with liberal democracy as the final synthesis according to Fukuyama. Marx, like
Hegel, saw the world in a clash of evolving opposites, but while Marx predicted that the triumph of
communism would lead to the withering away of the state, Fukuyama instead argues that with the
victory of liberal democracy it is history that has

The Victorian Era Of British History Essay
The Victorian Era of British history was the time of Queen Victoria s rule from 20 June 1837 until her
passing, on 22 January 1901. It was a long stretch of peace, prosperous period regarding sensibilities
and political concerns to the section of the Reform Act 1832. The time was gone before by the
Georgian period and took after by the Edwardian period. The laterhalf of the Victorian age generally
concurred with the first divide of the Belle period of mainland Europe and the Gilded Age of the
United States. Among the numerous improvements that made Victoria s rule appear to be
extraordinarily not quite the same as prior periods in British history, two are particularly meriting
consideration. The primary is the French Revolution (1789 1815), and the second is the Industrial
Revolution that started around 1780 and quickened all through the Victorian Age. Victorians survived
earth shattering times they expected to confront the world after a long and extreme fight with
Revolutionary and Napoleonic France, which had toppled an out of date medieval respectability for
the purpose of law based convictions, just to passage opportunity, parity, and society by military
violence. In England there was much early vitality from essayists and taught individuals for the
Revolution s claim that human foundations were improvable, not for all time regular or god
designated. The progressives toppled an undemocratic and ruffian structure and planned to put set up
more law based

Inequality in To Kill a Mockingbird
One of the major themes of To Kill a Mockingbird is the divisions in human society and how those
cause inquality among people. Even though most people know that they shouldn t judge others, it s
human nature, and because of this, it causes different sections of society. Most of the characters
experience this throughout the novel. In To Kill a Mockingbird, certain divisions in society cause
inequality in the town of Maycomb, and the characters and the reader both learn important lessons.
When unequal divides in society form, the person or group of people that are looked down upon don t
get the respect that they should. In Maycomb, anyone different from the traditional southern ways gets
the short end of the stick. Race is an obvious division in the society of Maycomb. White people are
automatically thought of as good people, while African Americans do not get accepted. The people of
Maycomb seem to think that there s something not right about black people, just because that s not
traditional in the south. Tradition states that white people are better than black people without a
question, and we can see through name calling and the unfair trail that many people in Maycomb still
hold on to this tradition. They don t even think that African Americans deserve to associate with
whites hardly at all. Examples of characters experiencing this divide are Atticus and Tom. Atticus gets
looked down upon by a lot of people in the town simply because he wanted to defend Tom, who was

The Age Of Genetic Engineering And Discovery
Every mother wants to feed her children the best food possible. Every father wants to see his kids
grow up strong. Chefs want their food to have the most memorable, unique, and pleasing taste. Food
companies want their products to have the highest satisfaction rate and longest shelf life possible. It
seems that, as a society, we should be striving to attain the optimal status of food production and
preparation we have done so for years, through technological advances in refrigeration, storage, and
processing. Now, in the age of genetic engineering and discovery, we find ourselves able to genetically
modify not only simple strands of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), but enough genetic material to alter
the very food we consume. An opportunity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although they are currently able to work on stem plants only for the most part, geneticists are
continuously working to further advancements in the field of genetic modification (World Health
Organization). Genetic modification is still in its early stages, although geneticists are positive that it
will advance quickly and be of great benefit to the consumer market. In addition to helping the
economical aspects of the food consumer market by decreasing the overall cost of food production,
genetically modified species are beneficial to the environment in which they are raised. According to
the Ecological Society of America, Some GEO s could play a positive role in sustainable agriculture,
forestry, aquaculture, bioremediation, and environmental management both in developed and
developing countries (Snow et al.). Studies are underway to develop plants that create less nutrient
depletion in the soil, such as is found the in the large scale growth of many crops like corn. This would
decrease the amount of arid land worldwide. Furthermore, GMO s present a chance to alleviate some
of the damage already caused. Research is underway to create plants that can grow in these damaged
lands and provide nutrients and life to the seemingly deadened soil. Finally, among the benefits of
genetically modified organisms is the potential of naturally grown vaccinations. With the ability to
splice DNA comes the power to implant

  • 2. Cyber Bullying Persuasive Essay Inspirational speaker, writer, and community leader Anna Maria Chávez once said Cyber Bullies can hide behind a mask of anonymity online, and do not need direct physical access to their victims to do unimaginable harm. Cyberbullying is negatively taking over technology and adults aren t aware of the potential dangers it has on their children. To start, children and teens do not talk to their parents about the acts of cyberbullying that occur on their technology. Over half of young teens do not tell their parents when cyberbullying occurs. (Webstar, 2017) This is a big problem. This means that children are hurting, the result of cyberbullying, and they are afraid to talk to their parents, or any adult for that matter. They are keeping their emotions bottled up inside them, and parents have no idea this is happening. In fact, only 1 in 10 teens tell an adult if they have been a cyberbully victim. (Webstar, 2017) These numbers should not be the effect of cyberbullying. Children have to seek help from adults and stop the cyber bullies hiding behind their screen. Might I add, it should not be all on the children s shoulders. They are the victim, and they should stand up for themselves, but why should it be all on them? Parents have to be on the lookout for cyber bullying these days. Only 32% of parents actually monitor their children s social networking activities, while 28% admitted they only occasionally, rarely or never monitor activity. (Anderson, 2016) This 28% of ... • 3. Pros And Cons Of Dalai Lama While these two viewpoints are incredibly different, points can be taken from both in order to achieve a compromise that promotes humanitarian values and morals without risking the sacrifice of security and culture. I think that the most important thing that the Dalai Lama s argument proposes is not condemning our fellow man. This is not to say that everyone you meet in life deserves the compassion he suggests to show, but not passing judgment on someone without due cause is a staple of western society. He is right to say that we should not abandon this just because those being judged come from other parts of the world. The easiest way to achieve this is to actively support and encourage a more inclusive integration process. While refugees are a special scenario, if someone immigrates to a country they will, for the most part, want to become part of that country. If we as a whole are able to encourage this smooth integration without asking someone to denounce or cut back on as big of a part of their life as religion can be, Islamification will be a thing of the past. By promoting a unity of religions, not separate sects of them, none will feel oppressed or unheard in their country and feel the need to take matters into their own hands. Clearly, the solution here is simply creating a balance between the two opposing viewpoints. This compromise will take the strengths of each argument and remove the totality and radicality from them, making it by far the most logical course of action to be taken. We, as a human race, need to promote a society which accepts all religions, but does not allow them to be involved in policy making or other government proceedings in order to create a sense of security and structure while allowing for compassion and happiness for all ... A favorite scene, towards the end of the movie, of mine is when the Banks family goes to the park to fly their kite as a family. As the director shows a shot of the entire family, the Banks family is in the center of the frame. As well, the objects that are surrounding the Banks allow for a balanced frame. The audience members feel, for once in the film, that the Banks family has finally come together and everyone can feel the love the all have for one another which is exactly the feeling the director wanted to evoke from the audience. He changed the process of acting in which actors immerse themselves into their characters as much as possible. He wanted acting to change to a realistic art. In the article, Building Characters: The Work of Celebrity Impersonators, the author writes about how impersonators use Stanislavsky s method. Ferris writes, the method is by far a more popular system in contemporary American theatre, film, and television acting but it serves a purpose when discussing celebrity impersonation. When impersonating Marilyn Monroe, the actor uses the method by renting all of Marilyn s movies, studying every detail from the makeup to body language. • 11. Moral Justice In Measure For Measure, By William Shakespeare Measure for Measure is a play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written in 1603 or 1604. Originally published in the First Folio of 1623, where it was listed as a comedy. The play s first recorded performance occurred in 1604. The play s main themes include justice, mortality and mercy in Vienna, and the dichotomy between corruption and purity: some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall. Mercy and virtue prevail, as the play does not end tragically, with virtues such as compassion and forgiveness being exercised at the end of the production. While the play focuses on justice overall, the final scene illustrates that Shakespeare intended for moral justice to temper strict civil justice: a number of the characters receive understanding and leniency, instead of the harsh punishment to which they, according to the law, could have been sentenced. Measure for Measure is often called one of Shakespeare s problem plays. It was, and continues to be, classified as comedy, though its tone may defy those expectations. The theme of Measure for Measure is the temperance of justice with mercy. Merciful justice is juxtaposed throughout with strict enforcement of the law. The duke, Isabella, Escalus, Mariana, and the Provost all advocate mercy. Only Angelo demands strict adherence to the law, even to recommending his own execution when his deeds are discovered. The Evolution Of Wordless Societies Essay The Evolution of Wordless Societies: From Ancient Egypt Hieroglyphics to Emojis Pictures have been around long before words as a means of communicating. From ancient to modern civilizations, pictures and symbols have been used to convey messages and capsulize the history and culture of the society. Terms like hieroglyphics and emojis refer to systems of writing in which pictures and symbols represent ideas and sounds. This paper will examine four writing systems of ancient and modern societies that utilize pictures. Each of the writing systems used pictures along with letters. In some societies, pictorial uses were reserved for the society s elite, but recently, the use of pictures as primary text has become more main stream. Throughout time, society s use of pictures and symbols has transitioned from a more formal to informal method of written communication, however, it has still maintain its primary purpose. Ancient Egypt Hieroglyphics was one of the first writing systems to employ pictures. Hieroglyphics was derived from the Egyptian expression god s words. The advantages of running web servers over a basic transport protocol that is similar to TCP are studied here. The stateless TCP for HTTP decreases the kernel resources required per TCP connection. So it increases the number of client initiated HTTP connections per second. Stateless TCP modifications decreases the server s CPU usage and other TCP memory requirements. This helps to serve small webpages under overloaded situations. Two Algorithms (David A Hayes, Improving http performance using stateless tcp, 2011) are mentioned that show the basic operation of stateless TCP, one for incoming packets and one for outgoing packets from server. The fall of the Romanov Dynasty in 1914 proved that the Tsar could not handle the problems of Russia. Ironically, he would have been ideal as a constitutional monarch, but was adamant against the idea. As the First World War started Russia s problems arises, from short term and long term causes. The war brought back inflation which led to demonstrations over food shortages combined with workers grievances, (Hosking, 2012, p. 91) thus this destroyed Nicholas s image as Father of Russia. • 26. Charles Darwin s The Hms Beagle And His Exploration... Today was the day. Today was the day I would finally get all my answers on the theory of evolution, from the master himself, or should I say father . As I opened the door, a mysterious old figure stood with a tortoise by his side: it was Charles Darwin. Quickly and eagerly he went into the dining room and eagerly cried, Guys! I am very glad to see you all! I need to tell you all everything, everything that I had found out about! Before my family had fully sat on their seats, he shared fascinating stories about his adventures and voyages. He began explaining his tails on the famous HMS Beagle and his exploration of the Galapagos Islands. On his voyage on the Beagle he was instructed to chart stretches of coastlines of South America, but as he explained that he wasn t any Picasso, his sketches ended up poorly drawn. As we all know, Darwin has never been the type to enforce rules, and plus charting coastlines is just the most boring job a person can do. As well as charting, he shared his strange fascination on his observations of how the characteristics of plants and animals suits only specific environments in South America. He explained how plants and animals in similar geographic and climate zones have a similar resemblance. With great enthusiasm, Charles addressed my half brother and wife saying, Tom Bradey, 3 time MVP and 4 time super bowl winner, oh and the beautiful Vanessa Hudgens Ramolia! You must see how my observations and these fossils have similar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A resume is a blueprint that details what you have accomplished with regards to education, experience, skills acquisition, workplace successes, and progressive responsibility and/or leadership (Patricia and Sherfield 161). Many people struggle with landing a job because of their resume. In my essay, I will be providing an outline to how to create a resume. I have collected information from online, personal references, and the class s textbook; AOT 133 Professional Development. To show a difference from a well put together resume verse a poorly written resume, I created two resumes; one prior to learning how to create a resume and one after learning. • 29. Importance Of Happiness In Everyday Life Happiness in Everyday Life Early morning, the birds start chirping and the crisp, cool air that glides through the windows awake the whole city. The smell of the bloomed flowers in the garden refreshes, and relaxes your whole state of mind. Sitting comfortably on the wooden porch, drinking hot brewed coffee and listening to the sounds of nature washes all your worries away. With a clear mind, the shining sun that squeezes between the smoky clouds reminds you of a new day. Or perhaps a hot cleansing bubble bath, filled with a layer of surfactant lavender scented foam, relaxing your body from head to toe after a long day of work. In both cases, the relaxing and refreshing routines both exhibit one of the many forms of happiness. Happiness is the state of being happy. Happiness, an important part of the world today because happiness is really all we ve got, this benefits not only our personal lives, but our societal lives as well, in this state of mind we can create a more peaceful, energetic, and compassionate world. The state of being happy and content, started way back in Christian philosophy. Happiness can include listening to uplifting, relaxing music to boost your mood and appearance. Being in this state of mind, anything can uplift your mood, such as music. Whether it s being performed, danced to, or singing along it can increase the way you feel and even lift the spirts up. You often hear people listening to music when feeling mournful, upset or even just while showering, and this is because it boosts your mood and makes you feel delightful. Music is a big part of society, it s played on the radio, elevators, and even performed and taught in middle school. The enjoyment and jubilation that music brings to everyone in the world today is why it makes a huge impact on those suffering with depression, anxiety, and even helps with heart rate. For many people happiness is a condition that the many would consider temporary, which is because they let external situations get in between. Being emotionally stable and happy can create a positive effect on the world. We can all relate back to when we undergo some difficult times, or not feeling the greatest. • 30. Delillo Death s Uncertainty According to Don DeLillo, a modern author, playwright, and essayist, The modern meaning of life s end when does it end? How does it end? How should it end? What is the value of life? How do we measure it? ( Don DeLillo Quotes, 2012). Through this quote, DeLillo questions death s uncertainty by providing various wonders concerning its mysterious nature. With one of his most popular novels, White Noise, DeLillo explores many contemporary issues through his characters and plot. DeLillo frequently explores ideas such as people s dependence on consumerism, the devastating effects of mediocrity, and the persistent nature of advertisements in order to press a focus on modern society through lenses of the past and the evolution of society. In a similar way to Jack, Babette serves an unformed character towards the beginning of the novel and is built to present death s uncertainty as one prevalent theme throughout the novel. Some of the evidence which DeLillo uses to illustrate Babette as a portrayal of death s uncertainty includes Babette s work with the elderly, Babette s use of Dylar to escape her fear of death, and Babette s obsession with Wilder s ignorance of death. Firstly, DeLillo goes through the same effort of assigning Babette a symbolic passion which he goes through with Jack s character. Babette holds the same fervor for her classes teaching the elderly which Jack holds for his Hitler studies. In this way, Babette serves as a reflection of Jack s character. Comparatively, while Babette holds many different positions within her life, she also goes to great lengths to primarily focus on her coaching position in the same way that Jack focuses on his Hitler studies position. DeLillo employs this same heavy focus on the elderly through Babette s character in order to press forth his theme of death s uncertainty. Accordingly, in order to gain certainty concerning death, Babette constructs her employment around the elderly. Consequently, Babette utilizes her position heavily in order to maintain an intimacy and understanding of death while distancing herself from death s uncertainty. Babette s classes with the elderly become a means of assessing death s uncertainty while also existing as Babette s form of understanding it. Secondly, Babette s use of Dylar towards the end of the novel is a perfect example of her character being faced with death s uncertainty. • 32. The Ancient Greek Society Competition in ancient Greece set their society apart from the rest of the world and became a greater influence on modern society. Competition was pride and a sense of bettering oneself to achieve greater goals. Hesiod is the first to correlate man to material. He describes mankind in five races of earthly material based upon their malleability. Overtime the Greeks develop this theory into a popular mindset, craftsmen and the product. Man becomes what he creates. The desire to learn and grow invests itself in competition by the conception of medicine, sports, art, writing, language, and war. Everything in Greek society was recognized as either a tool or a product. Men developed their bodies in gymnasiums, children expanded their minds in schools, the body was made immune and strong with medicines, and the brain was built on words, conversation inspired by art, territories seized by war. Inspired by the ancient Egyptians and their tradition of statue portraiture the Greeks decide to develop this further. The Kroisos statue was born, next the Kritos boy. From then on sculptors would rise to challenge to create the perfect man, their earthly version of paying God. The Greeks incorporated math for order and continued on their hopes for perfection. Next they added drama and movement in marble structures resembling man and the God s. Greeks built off of other Greeks works. They used past examples as stepping stones for self improvement. When considering alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine, it is actually hard to classify them all as the same thing because they all have their own individual effects on the body. The classmate was correct when saying marijuana and alcohol have similar effects on behavior, but even then, they are only similar to a certain extent. Alcohol and marijuana are similar because they both act as a depressant on the body s nervous system when entered into the blood stream. Both substances cause the individual to become impaired in one way or another and lose the ability to do some of the things sober people can do. However, alcohol causes the body to lose balance, alter the individuals to speak properly, impairs their sleep cycle, and at times causes aggressive behavior. • 39. Research on the Relation between Schizophrenia and Dopamine The vast majority of medications currently in the marketplace or under development to treat schizophrenia/psychosis focus on dopamine in one way or another. Most of the medications that are currently used to treat this condition affect dopamine in a direct way. These drugs specifically target this substance because historically, psychosis has been linked to unusually high levels of dopamine in the part of the brain that is known as the stratum (Nauert, 2010). Moreover, there is a fair amount of research that indicates there is a direct correlation between levels of glutamate, which is another substance the brain produces and is found in the hippocampus, and dopamine in individuals who eventually develop schizophrenia. Because of the prevalence of copious quantities of dopamine in people who have schizophrenia, most medications attempt to prevent the buildup of dopamine by blocking it in the striatum. Other methods in which drugs for this condition help to counteract the effects of dopamine, however, are more indirect. There are medications that are under development that interfere with glutamate signals in the brain (Nauert, 2010) that are targeted towards affecting glutamate, which in turn will then positively influence the levels of dopamine that the brain releases. In both ways then, (direct and indirect), dopamine is the primary focus of schizophrenia medication. It was a long stretch of peace, prosperous period regarding sensibilities and political concerns to the section of the Reform Act 1832. The time was gone before by the Georgian period and took after by the Edwardian period. The laterhalf of the Victorian age generally concurred with the first divide of the Belle period of mainland Europe and the Gilded Age of the United States. Among the numerous improvements that made Victoria s rule appear to be extraordinarily not quite the same as prior periods in British history, two are particularly meriting consideration. The primary is the French Revolution (1789 1815), and the second is the Industrial Revolution that started around 1780 and quickened all through the Victorian Age. Victorians survived earth shattering times they expected to confront the world after a long and extreme fight with Revolutionary and Napoleonic France, which had toppled an out of date medieval respectability for the purpose of law based convictions, just to passage opportunity, parity, and society by military violence. Even though most people know that they shouldn t judge others, it s human nature, and because of this, it causes different sections of society. Most of the characters experience this throughout the novel. In To Kill a Mockingbird, certain divisions in society cause inequality in the town of Maycomb, and the characters and the reader both learn important lessons. When unequal divides in society form, the person or group of people that are looked down upon don t get the respect that they should. In Maycomb, anyone different from the traditional southern ways gets the short end of the stick. Race is an obvious division in the society of Maycomb. White people are automatically thought of as good people, while African Americans do not get accepted. The people of Maycomb seem to think that there s something not right about black people, just because that s not traditional in the south. Tradition states that white people are better than black people without a question, and we can see through name calling and the unfair trail that many people in Maycomb still hold on to this tradition. Although they are currently able to work on stem plants only for the most part, geneticists are continuously working to further advancements in the field of genetic modification (World Health Organization). Genetic modification is still in its early stages, although geneticists are positive that it will advance quickly and be of great benefit to the consumer market. In addition to helping the economical aspects of the food consumer market by decreasing the overall cost of food production, genetically modified species are beneficial to the environment in which they are raised. According to the Ecological Society of America, Some GEO s could play a positive role in sustainable agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, bioremediation, and environmental management both in developed and developing countries (Snow et al.). Studies are underway to develop plants that create less nutrient depletion in the soil, such as is found the in the large scale growth of many crops like corn. This would decrease the amount of arid land worldwide. Furthermore, GMO s present a chance to alleviate some of the damage already caused. Research is underway to create plants that can grow in these damaged lands and provide nutrients and life to the seemingly deadened soil. Finally, among the benefits of genetically modified organisms is the potential of naturally grown vaccinations. With the ability to splice DNA comes the power to implant ...
