In the event that, regardless, security operations must be off stacked to parts running on an untrusted

Despite the fact that security mindful improvement methodologies can t dispense with every one of

approaches to minimize the potential dangers. Case in point, some organizations will guarantee a

Five Forces Analysis
The enthusiasm and excitement of starting a new business can quickly diminish when you realise you
are faced with the task of analysing the complex business landscape that is spread out in front of you.
The number of factors to consider can be overwhelming leading to errors in judgement and
unnecessary risk taking. This article aims to assist you in tackling this process by providing a
simplified overview of the Five Forces Analysis model. This is not a step by step guide, nor a list of
dos and don ts, but rather a set of factors that should be considered when assessing the competitive
intensity and attractiveness of a market. The Five Forces Analysis was created by Harvard Professor
Michael Porter in 1979 and it provides a framework for industry analysis and business development.
Porter proposes there to be five forces which either inhibit or prohibit a company s ability to succeed
in a given market.
1. Threat of new entrants
2. Threat of substitutes
3. Bargaining power of buyers
4. Bargaining power of suppliers
5. Intensity of rivalry
Threat of new entrants
A market is much more attractive if it is difficult to enter. This may sound odd at first as it seems more
logical to pursue a market that is easy to enter. However, if you can do it so can everyone else, and if it
is extremely easy for other businesses to enter a market with little skill, experience or start up costs
you will find it extremely difficult to create and capture any value from that market.

The Blessed Month Of Ramadan
The blessed month of Ramadan, the time when almost 2 billion muslims around the world are fasting
and attempting to do extra good. Fasting was obligated two years after the muslims migrated to
Medina from Mecca. In Mecca, the economic conditions for the muslims were bad, they were being
persecuted, and often would go days without food or water. It was already difficult enough for them to
find food, it wouldn t be possible for them to abstain from something they were in extreme need off.
After they migrated to Medina, it was like a sanctuary, they were greeted open heartedly, and many
were actually waiting for them to arrive. After they settled down, the verses of ramadan were revealed.
Many people may wonder why are muslims so excited about a month in which they abstain from
food? Who would look forward to something like that? In essence there is much more to ramadan than
just abstaining from food though out the day, it is also about learning self discipline, controlling your
temper, and building your character. It teaches a great amount of patience. Our prophet once said,
Whoever does not give up lying and evil action, God is not in need of his hunger. Not only is it about
purifying your body, also your mind and soul. It is also a chance to increase your good deeds such as
giving charity to the poor, and mending family relationships. As we go through the day in hunger and
thirst, we experience the feeling of the poor who cannot afford a meal, which would result

Ethics, Morality, And Legality Of Hacking Essay
Addison Cryblskey
Mr. Bennett

Ethics, Morality, and Legality of Hacking
Ethics are defined as moral principles, as of an individual. Giving dropped money back to a blind man
is an example of good ethics. I believe in having a strong sense of ethics. Morality or morals can be
defined as of, relating to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction
between right and wrong. I believe having a good moral sense is crucial to participate in the world.
Without one, you can make a lot of people angry, or you could get fired from a job. Legality or the
laws which govern us are rules we are forced to live by. They keep us in line and stop us from doing
unjust things. I believe in laws. Without them people who don t have strong morals, or who are
unethical, would be able to damage society.
The difference between Ethics, Morals, and Laws is slim. Morals make up ethics. Legality takes
ethical practices and tells you things you can t do based on what most people think of as right and
wrong.
Computer hacking can be both ethical and unethical. Ethical hacking is when something is hacked
legally and helps better the community. For example operating systems are usually hacked by their
creators to see what the vulnerabilities are, and then they are fixed or patched. The most serious issue
in the computer world (and in the presidential race) is unethical hacking. Unethical hacking is when
someone steals data for their own gain,

Workplace Bullying and Power Distance
Does high power distance culture in organizations increases the fear of reporting for workplace
bullying?
Introduction
The objective of this study is to understand the direct relation between one of Hofstede s (2003) four
dimensions and the risk of reporting for workplace bullying in employees among various
organisational culture. Culture effects on reporting of bullying incidents to management due to
authoritative distance between employees and managers, and create dissatisfaction at job even after
reporting (Wornham, 2003). Many studies in the area of workplace bullying has been done by
researchers focusing on who reported being bullied and others who were observed bullied but,

There is a relation between power distance culture and reporting of workplace bullying. According to
Loh et. al. s (2010) comparative study shows that people from high PD environment tend to respond
and report less negatively then low PD culture as in high PD culture individuals tend to maintain the
relationship and accept their status in order to stay in their group. In high PD cultures bullies feel they
can get away with it and seems to flourish for e.g. army and paramilitary settings such as fire services
(Salin, 2003b). In contrast with Salin s (2003b) studies for effects of high PD in bullying behaviour
reporting, Bairy et. al. s (2007) research in India found that seniors doctors been bullied by junior
colleagues. Bairy s (2007) studies followed out in only one workplace using small sample size (174)
and needs further examination. However, Salin (2003b) carried out his research from variety of
organizations, professions and positions included large number of samples.
Conclusion
In high PD cultures show low level of creativity, more hierarchical and dependency upon relationship
(Loh et. al., 2010). Lack of confidence in management response creates fear of reporting for bullying
among victim(s). I believe that this study shows the direct relationship between high PD and risk of

Essay on The Daycare Debate
One of the largest social controversies of the current time are the parental pressures attached to
whether or not a child should attend daycare. While many parents struggle with this decision, others
do not have the luxury of choice; many questions are raised asking if it is beneficial or harmful for
infants and young children to attend daycare, spending the majority of their waking hours with
caregivers other than their parents. There are of course many opinions and studies regarding this issue.
As with any controversial topic there is no right or wrong answers for the masses. The majority of
studies conducted all seem to have similar results. This is an issue and dilemma of such personal
magnitude that it should not only be regarded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
22).
Perhaps the easiest and most straightforward aspect to asses regarding the effects of the different types
of care is the physical development of infants and children. These are objective findings which can
easily and definitely be measured. Children raised in a home care setting are obviously less likely to
catch illness such as colds and flu, chicken pox and other communicable diseases. They do not share
toy toys and objects with those children who may be infected with an illness and they are not in close
contact and quarters with those who are infected. Parents who have more education and have more
social concerns are also likely to be diligent about the cleanliness of the environment and are more
concerned with hand washing and cleanliness. These parents and caregivers exhibit more
responsibility with leaving their children home when an illness is suspected, so as to not infect other
people and children.
Children who are reared in the home environment may experience delays in physical motor skills, as
well as physical growth. This could be due in part to less physical interaction and mirroring of other
children. The environment remaining familiar and the attentive caregiver, home caregivers often jump
to the needs of their children. Although well meaning, this does not allow for the child to physically
explore their surrounds as much as if they had to do it on their own. Children reared in daycare from

Gun Control Restrictions
The United States has 88.8 guns per 100 people, which is the highest total in the world. The guns was
first intended for hunting and self protection. Later on, it was brought into the military for use. For that
reason, people believe that guns can only be used in the military. Others say that the Second
Amendment gives them the right to have guns and use it for protection. This was for if any person
tried to attack them, they would have protection with them at all times. Later on, guns got used for the
wrongs reasons. More crimes were being develop, like the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Now, people want more restrictions on gun ownership and how it should be used. If some restrictions
were to be made, some say it will not make much of a difference. Guns use had lead to violence in the
past, but also it coud be a good protection for humans against attackers. The argument that may still be
going on today is if the United States should put more restrictions on gun ownership and use. The
reasons why people are still asking for more restrictions is because more crimes and shooting as been
happening lately. There were about 126 mass shootings around 2001 to 2014. The opponents of this
issue think that if more restrictions were made, that would not change the fact that there would be as
much shootings as there was. Reasons to believe this was that even with more restrictions, shootings
would still go on. Nothing would stop the criminals from killing others. Now,

Physical Development in Middle Childhood Essay
The physical, cognitive and socio emotional domains of human development are influenced by diverse
factors. Phases of development extend from the beginnings of human life and continue throughout the
lifespan. These developmental phases are characterised by a range of features including brain
development, language development and social development amongst others.
Gross motor skills include activities such as running, skipping and jumping. They involve the use of
the body s larger muscle groups. Gross motor skills greatly improve in middle childhood due to
increased muscle mass, strength and coordination (McDevitt and Ormrod, 2010). These skills also
improve with practice and repetition which can be provided by participation in the ... Show more

A child who is isolated by illness may well develop depression and find it hard to resume socialising
on his return to school . Consequently he may be behind in both physical and social development and
confront the daunting task of recovery. Between the ages of five and twelve years the brain undergoes
great development and growth. The increase in neurons and connections promotes the development of
fine motor skills. This physiological change is a prerequisite for motor skill refinement and growth.
Family income is another factor in the development of the child. A poorer family may not be able to
afford healthy food. They may be uneducated about good nutrition. Their child may miss out on the
nutrition that a good diet delivers. In many homes television and video games are more readily
accessible recreational activities. When both parents work they may not have the time to supervise
extra curricular activities. Time constrained parents may also more frequently choose fast foods, over
looking nutrition for convenience.
The learning environment for middle childhood (as for all others) should be both stimulating and
encouraging . The classroom should accommodate the needs of all its students. It is the responsibility
of the teacher to be cognizant of their various beliefs and customs. The Australian classroom is
becoming increasingly multicultural (Witsel , 2003). By acknowledging a child s culture and the
constraints that

Her Kawaii shaped viridian eyes that have stared at me simultaneously, in intimacy and distance.
Cupid s bow lips that I m well acquainted with but yet, never shared an innocent kiss of hello or

Ultimately, all these amenities did not provide her with the perfection of angelic beauty but more the

Hatred Between Israelis and the Palestinians Essay
Hatred Between Israelis and the Palestinians
The fear, suspicion and hatred between the Palestinians and the Israelis are present because of many
causes, both short term and long term. Both the Israelis and the Palestinians believe they have cause to
hate each other.
One of the earliest long term events that contribute to the current hostility is the Deir Yassin massacre
in 1948 9. The Deir Yassin massacre was caused by Operation Dalet, which was launched by the
Haganah, in an attempt to split the Arab states by capturing villages in between Jaffa and Jerusalem. In
the massacre at Deir Yassin, 250 civilians were killed, consisting of men, women and children. This
massacre started the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This caused a conflict between the two groups, which still hasn t been solved, and has caused the
Israelis and the Palestinians to be mistrustful and suspicious towards each other. This feeling of
mistrust and suspicion affected later decisions held by both groups, and no doubt hindered the peace.
This outlook also affected the general attitude of the people, which has made it difficult for them to
accept each other. In the case of the Palestinians, they had refused to accept the fact that Israel was a
state. The Palestinians also grew to resent the Israelis, thinking that they had taken over the Palestinian
land without the consent of the Palestinians living there.
Another long term cause that has contributed to the feeling of fear and hatred for both the Israelis and
the Palestinians is the 1967 Six Day War. The Israelis hatred of the Palestinians and other Arab states
increased mainly because of the propaganda that was released before the war. Many cartoons were
printed in newspapers a month before the war and they all implied that the Arab states would destroy
Israel once the war started, and some suggested that the Israelis would be expelled from Israel. A few
radio broadcasts also said things like this;
It is our chance, Arabs, to direct a blow of death and annihilation to Israel and all its presence in our
Holy Land. (Cairo Radio, Voice of the Arabs , 20 May

Human Conscience And Destiny In Oedipus The King By Sophocles
Among the Greek tragedies, there can probably be found something deeper and more elaborate, than
Oedipus the King by Sophocles, but there is not a single one, in which the philosophical depth and
tragic strength would be combined with such incomparable sophistication, noble grace and structural
perfection. The image of a monstrous Sphinx with the face of a woman, wings, sharp claws, the body
of a lion and mysteriously dangerous speech penetrates the whole tragedy as an incorporation of
destiny and unknown future. The following research represents a critical analysis of the Sophocles
tragedy, dealing with various issues raised in it. It gives a detailed analysis of different problems

He saved people from the deathly and truly intimidating allurement of the monster and solved its
riddle. This is what he is like at the beginning of the tragedy. He is described as the savior of humanity
from the dark forces of the Destiny, a hero of mind and will. The people believed that he would
conquer the monster and he himself believed in his own strength. The people considered him a wise
deity and he himself thinks so.
However, Oedipus is a human being and nothing more. The victory of mind and will over Sphinx as a
symbol of Destiny is temporary. Although, Sphinx ran away and left the people in peace, it pierced the
heart of the hero and would soon once again give him unsolvable riddles. This is the core of the
tragedy. Although Sphinx no longer exists, it is still inside the soul of its conqueror. It is more
intimidating than any carnivorous animal as now he is elusive and bodiless just like a phantom.
Sphinx is the mystery of life and every human conscience. The prophet Tiresias has a full right to
mock the savior of people by saying that he should no save himself. Let him know who his mother
and father are and what the meaning of life is. The meaning of life lies in the victory of his spirit over
Destiny and victory of Destiny over spirit (Bloom 65). Let every human solve the riddle of their own

There are two major possible explanations that can trigger a sea level to rise. First, global warming

Crusades Religious Meaning
This paper is going to discuss the Crusades religious meaning as a cleansing, the religious motivations
to defeat the enemies of Christendom, the religious manifestations of sewing the sign of the Cross on
clothes, and role of religious institutions, more specifically the Papacy.
I will use the sources given to me to explain the different topic I listed before. I will use both primary
and secondary sources.
The Crusades had many different religious meanings. One of which was a Crusade as cleansing. By
participating in the Crusades one would have a remission of all sins. And for the ones who could not
physically fight in the battles, they would have to help financially.4 Usually Catholics had to go to a
priest for confession and then get penance to get rid of sins. The idea of indulgence was so popular
among the people that the church started promoting it.1 It was also a big attraction for many soldiers
who had man sins from their pasts.1
Another religious meaning of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It symbolized the taking of the vow. The Cross not only set apart the crusader from the rest of the
people but it also showed his status and was a reminder of his vow. The cross also symbolized the
power and glory of God and God s protection of the crusaders, and the power of redemption.2 Another
religious manifestation was divine signs. One of the many divine signs was the cross. The cross
became a sign of physical sacrifice. Just as Christ sacrificed himself the crusaders sacrificed their
physical bodies to the cause.4 The final religious manifestation that I will talk about are the sermons.
Many sermons used biblical figures as an example of God leading them to war, just as God led many
Old Testament figures.2 Two of the most used sermons was the Israelites and the Promised Land and
the fight of the Maccabees against their foes. They also used Ephesians 6:11 17 as a sermon, putting

way that does not happen naturally. According to the United States National Library of Medicine,

A Different Way At Scaffolding Safety Tips
A different way to look at scaffolding safety tips
My experience with League of legends and applying it to scaffolding
After completing high school, I found myself spending most of my time on the computer, mostly
playing games. One of my favorite games I spent the most time on was League of legends. Basically
there two teams that get to pick from a roster of over 100 champions to fight against each other in an
arena. The goal of the game is to take out the enemy teams nexus. Every game I try to avoid dying to
the enemy team by being as safe as possible. Safety is also very important in scaffolding. Construction

Finding the balance is crucial to winning the game. Similarly construction projects in scaffolding want
to be completed in a respectable amount of time. Speed is usually important when it comes to these
construction projects, but the workers safety is even more important. Basically you want to get the job
done quickly, but with the least amount of risk to the workers. Kee Safety s Mike Mumau said the real
issue is how do you build something in a fast, efficient way, and still be profitable without putting the
workers at risk. The balance between the two is important for construction projects.
2. Organization Teams in league of legends need to be organized during a match. A team that is
organized is more likely to win the game. Deaths can be avoiding if your team is positioned well on
the map. If you shouldn t be there in the first place, why would you go? A teammate that is alone on a
certain part of the map and isn t doing anything that will help the team shouldn t be there. Usually not
being grouped with your team will lead to an easy kill for the enemy team. You want to be in the right
places at the right times. It is generally safer when you are with your team instead of being alone.
Organization is also important in the workplace of scaffolding. The highest amount of safety
violations happen because of slips, trips, and falls. It can be avoiding with worksite organization.

Humorous Wedding Roast – Why Would Anyone Want to Marry...
Humorous Wedding Speech Why Would Anyone Want to Marry this Man?
Ladies and gentlemen, if there s anybody here this afternoon who s feeling nervous, apprehensive and
queasy at the thought of what lies ahead, it s probably because you have just got married to Charles
Farrer.
Looking around this packed room, it s surprising just how far some people are prepared to travel for a
free lunch. It s very fortunate that Charles was not involved in developing the menu; otherwise you
would have been very disappointed to have come all this way for cheese sandwiches washed down
with lager.
Oh well then, I d better hurry up. After all, I m supposed to, in good taste, put the groom down. So,
minus the good taste I ll get on with it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, he starts thinking from the moment he gets up and doesn t stop until he opens his mouth. He
has a wonderful skill. Charles can offend anyone on any topic. People know this and steer clear of him
at parties. Often, as a sign of respect, they don t even invite him.
Another reason to marry Charles is that he s very caring especially about his appearance. It s easy to
see from today that Charles, impeccably dressed, has always been an image conscious sort of guy. You
know, he once admitted to me that his favorite forms of entertainment were TV, Playstation and
mirrors in reverse order. He also very caring when it comes to money. As he has often told me: The
safest way to double your money is to fold it over once and put it back in your pocket . But marriage
changes a man and his approach to spending is shifting. Just yesterday, while mulling over a purchase,
he blurted out, Well, if you ve got it why not spend it! I m not extravagant enough! It s a lot of money,
but hey, you only live once! I m going to buy this right now! I don t care how much it costs! I was
really impressed by this. And dramatically Charles threw the packet of Jaffa cakes in the shopping
trolley and marched off.
But more likely for Sherie the reason was love. I mean, when they first started seeing each other
Charles was a real romantic. He d take Sherie to all sorts of places... although mainly pubs and bars...

Gelatin cryogel sheets (5%) were synthesized using...
Gelatin cryogel sheets (5%) were synthesized using glutaraldehyde as the cross linker. The aldehyde
groups of glutaraldehyde form covalent imine bonds with amino groups of gelatin. Initially different
concentrations of gelatin were used (4%, 5%, 6% and 8% respectively). On physical examination of
the cryogels produced with these concentrations, it was observed that at higher concentration of
gelatin polymer (8%) the rate of polymerization was very fast and hence cryogel sheets formed were
not proper. As the percentage of gelatin was increased the amount of cross linker required was low i.e.,
the amount of cross linker required decreases with increase in monomer concentration. Increase in
polymer concentration also leads to less elasticity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Decrease in glutaraldehyde cross linker on increasing the polymer precursor might be happening due
to the increased probability of colliding polymers and cross linking agent in this unfrozen liquid
microphase where all chemical reactions take place. More probability of colliding might be decreasing
the amount of glutaraldehyde required to crosslink polymers for gel synthesis. It was also observed
that if the amount of glutaraldehyde used was more than the optimum concentrations (Table 1.1), the
gel formed lack porous network and were tough and brittle. When the glutaraldehyde concentration
was reduced and kept lower than the optimized one, the gels were weak in mechanical strength. This
observation suggests that there seems to be some competition between the nucleation process which
takes place in frozen regions and gelation process which takes place in unfrozen liquid microphase.
When the concentration of glutaraldehyde was lower than optimum, nucleation process dominates the
gelation process and the gels formed were weak due to large pores and less polymer wall formation by
cross linking of polymers. When glutaraldehyde quantity was taken more than optimum, gelation
dominates the nucleation process and the gels formed were without any pores and were brittle. Figure
1.1A shows the digital images of optimized gelatin sheets. Figure 1.1B and 1.1C shows that at an
optimized polymer and cross linker ratio

Mutual Fund Cash Flows and Stock Market Performance
Mutual Fund Cash Flows and Stock Market Performance*
During the decade of the 1990 s through the year 2001 there were some major shifts in the deployment
of investment assets. Based on a variety of measures, mutual funds grew dramatically as vehicles for
investing in portfolios of stock. Specifically net cash flows into equity funds grew from $13 billion in
1990 to $310 billion in the year 2000.1 During that same period the number of equity funds rose from
1,100 to 4,395, while the number of accounts in those funds increased from 22 million to 162 million.
The cumulative effect of the new money injected into equity funds, together with reinvestment of
dividends, plus the attendant stock price appreciation has produced a phenomenal ... Show more

The second explanatory variable in our study (M2) was the monthly growth rate of the M2 money
supply. This variable may be viewed as a measure of the change in national monetary liquidity. Money
supply growth also influences the stock market through its impact on general business conditions and
economic activity. The third flow related variable, monthly changes in the federal funds rate (FF),
provides information on the Federal Reserve s efforts to stimulate or dampen the future growth of
financial liquidity. Both fixed income and equity markets pay close attention to Federal Reserve
efforts to encourage or restrict economic growth through interest rate changes.
The final variable was an index of corporate profit growth (EPS). Earnings per share on the S P 500
index was available on a quarterly basis, and using interpolation, monthly estimates of earnings were
obtained. The growth rate of the estimated monthly earnings was calculated as the percentage change
from the same calendar month of the prior year. In essence we applied the same type of comparisons
used when companies contrast their most recent quarterly results to the same quarter of the previous
year. This also has the effect of reducing problems associated with seasonal variations.2
Empirical Findings
Results of the analysis are presented in Equation (1) with the t statistics shown in parentheses. The
three flow related variables (MF, M2, FF) were all

Theme Of Racism In To Kill A Mockingbird
Conflict of Racism in To Kill A Mockingbird
Harper Lee s To Kill A Mockingbird presents racism throughout the whole novel. To Kill a
Mockingbird is a book about racism and prejudice against black folk in the 1930 s, it is told by a six
year old little girl and how her perspective of everything that is going on. Even though this is what the
United States was like in the 1930s, the readers knows that racism was mostly bestowed upon Tom
Robinson. While this is just how society, Tom Robinson was a victim of racism because the black
people are treated differently than the white community, there are no black people on the jury, and
everyone will believe a white woman over a black man.
In To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, one character that displays racism was Tom Robinson.
Atticus and Tom won t win the case because it is a white woman accusing a black man, and the
society will always be racist against the black community. In Chapter 21 at the end the jury has made
up their mind whether Tom was guilty or not. The jury took a long time give Tom and atticus hope, but
in the end the jury decides that Tom is convicted. Scout is narrating at this point and she is explaining
how she knew atticus was upset after the trial, Atticus put his hand on Tom s shoulder as he
whispered. Atticus took his coat off the back of his chair and pulled it over his shoulder. Then he left
the courtroom, but not by his usual exit. (Lee 214). Scout knew that they weren t going to win the
case, but jem

The Great Depression Of The 1930s
The Great Depression of the 1930s is notably one of the greatest crises of American history. During
this time frame the American economy collapsed in great part because of factors such as the existence
of massive wealth inequality, the dust bowl that started in the Great Plains, and the rampant business
speculation of the 1920 s. These factors helped turn an awful economic depression into what would be
called an all out social crisis. Bread lines and soup kitchens became a common occurrence in
American cities. Thousands of families were evicted from their homes everyday, and took to the
streets hoping for some type of assistance. Throughout this time of struggle many American citizens
took to writing the white house and its officials in an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men of the family were less likely to write the white house because of their fear of being looked
at as weak or incapable of providing for their family. This fear is shown in several of the letters,
including a letter written by a mother to President Roosevelt. In the letter the mother asks for money
to help feed her family and concludes the letter with stating, if my husban new this he could Kill me.
In chapter three of the text by McElvaine there is a letter that stands as an example of a female
American citizen pleading to the first lady for clothes. However, what differentiates this letter from the
majority is that this individual is not asking for her family, but asking of a spring coat for herself. In
this letter the woman by the name of Mrs. J.T. addresses the first lady at the time, Eleanor Roosevelt,
as My Dear Friend . This intimate greeting supports the idea that the American population at the time
felt as though the Roosevelt s understood the daily struggle of living through the depression. These
citizens were comfortable confiding in them and sharing their hardships. A belief that the government
including the Roosevelt s would provide much needed relief to the country came with this sense of
comfort and intimacy. Not all American citizens, however, wrote to the white house in need of clothes
or money. The Works

Analysis Of I Ll Be Forty-Three On Friday
I ll Be Forty Three on Friday (How I m Living Now) presents a relatively simple premise that of a
man on the precipice of growing older walking through a park and thinking while revealing a complex
lens into life as the man perceives it. This complexity is present throughout the story within the
artwork, which features thin, unsteady lines and a notable absence of panel borders. The thin, unsteady
lines feel uncertain, failing to strongly assert themselves. They also leave plenty of negative space on
the page, especially on page 6, often merely suggesting the presence of an object through the absence
of line, a style which reflects recurring themes in American Splendor, where the presence or
significance of something is merely hinted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Visually, panel 4 moves its focus back onto Pekar. He is no longer a full figure, taking up the entire
space in the panel with his head and arms with his face becomes more visible as well. Additionally,
the language in the caption reflects this refocus, using the first person plural pronoun we as opposed to
the third person they used in tier 2. This shift, while making the language in the caption more
personal, also admits that Pekar feels comfortable including himself in the group about which he is
speaking when he says we really think we re very important.... After all, we re the only ones living in
our heads. Panel 5 draws the focus even closer in on Pekar. He begins to talk about his interpretation
of what significance is valuable, saying that in a hundred years maybe it won t matter, but the trouble
is that in the next few hours or days or weeks it matters a lot. Within the caption, the timeline
considered for the rest of the page shrinks, and with the reappearance of the first person I pronoun, so
too does the scope of humanity being considered. The Pekar figure finally shifts to a standing position
in this panel, with his face turned skyward in the clearest depiction of it seen on this page. His mind is
a little clearer, and his standing pose suggests that he feels more in control of his thoughts and himself
than he was earlier on in the

My Understanding of Extremism and Domestic Terrorism Essay
My understanding of extremism is that it s a term used to describe the actions or ideologies of
individuals or groups outside the perceived political center of a society; or otherwise claimed to
violate common moral standards. In democratic societies, individuals or groups which advocate that
democracy should be replaced with some kind of authoritarian regime are usually branded extremists.
There have been several terrorist acts committed in the United States of America, not by terrorists that
live in other countries and despise the American ways and ideas, but by our own citizens who live and
work in the United States of America. Domestic terrorism is done by a person or group of persons who
reside here, who are not acting on behalf of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Americans feel that after 911, the sense of patriotism and support for the government should have
been at an all time high. However, strict government reforms and new laws that have tightened and,
what some feel, interfere with some of our freedoms since 911 have drastically upset many of the
extremist groups and militias. Militia members have intense hatred or fear toward the government and
believe that there are federal conspiracies in which the government is planning to disarm its citizens.
Hatred for the government grows out of these faucets as it faces these groups with opposition and
attempts to expose them. Anti government extremists are a large part of the radicals that cause a lot of
the domestic terrorism. They are driven by their strong beliefs and goals and believe that they are
correct in their thinking and the government is wrong. Domestic extremists are driven by internal
factors and pursue a domestic agenda.
Although anti government extremists are a large part of the domestic terrorism group. There are
several other groups that spread their beliefs of hate such as the Aryan Brotherhood, the KKK, the
Black Panthers and outlaw motorcycle groups. Several of these groups plot to kill judges, police
officers and other public officials and attack targets ranging from churches to abortion clinics, and
even build chemical arms. The FBI is the lead agency assigned to investigate domestic terrorism in the
United States. Their vast array of investigative

I Was Wrong For My Brother
I was wrong.
Being the youngest in my family, I had always thought that there exist only one path for me to follow
the path that had been established by those who walked in front of me, my parents and my brother. For
many of years, blinded by this idea, I unknowingly had always been following the footsteps of my
brother who is two years older than me as the role model. Following the things he did, trying to
achieve the same things that he achieved, soon, I became a shadow that imitated his every movement.
Being able to attend the same competitive elementary school in Indonesia even though I was still
under the required age, made me realize that I was able to follow the same expectation that my parents
had for my brother. However, despite of the hard work that I put into studying, I wasn t able to sit at
the top during the elementary school year as I could barely pass the classes. This made me conscious
of the differences between those who are gifted and those who aren t.
Not capable of entering the same middle school as my brother forced me to see the gap between us
increase every moment. I started to run in an attempt to close the gap, but I tripped and couldn t run. I
could only watch the gap increase yet again.
During the middle school years, I joined the same martial arts club that my brother attended after I
gazed in awe of the medals that my brother had won during a city martial arts tournament. Two years
of training in the martial arts club turned the no name me

Wilderness Survival Skills Course Analysis
Hi, I m Doug Hill, the instructor for Wilderness Survival Skills here at Red Rocks Community
College. In this first video, I m going to introduce you to the course, tell you a little bit about myself
and what to expect out of the course and how this is all going to work. So welcome to the first ever
hybrid version of Wilderness Survival skills here at Red Rocks. Now I know it might seem a bit
strange. How do you learn wilderness survival online. I ve heard a couple of jokes myself. So
typically, the 3 credit class, OUT 108 at Red Rocks is 2 credits of classroom based lecture time and
one credit field based learning. So, if you think about taking two credits of classroom based time and

background information, statistics, theory, physiology and anatomy, all the kind of softer, academic
side of this course. From there, the beginning of module 2, we dive into harder skills. So module 2
focuses around your immediate priorities in a survival situation. Following that is module 3, short
term survival skills. Then, schedule wise, we ll be heading out on to the overnight after that and
getting into module 4, long term survival skills, most of that will be handled out there during that 3
day scenario. And then when we come back after the field portion, module 5 is a wrap up and
reflection, I ll ask you to reflect on your experiences, what you still need to learn, what you did well,
and asking you to put together a survival kit at that time. Lets take a look at the syllabus together. At

Women s Model Of Care
There not just apart of the furniture, they are apart of the community (Fire films, 2014, June 26).
Arcare in Australia recently changed their model of care to patient centered; with a successful
transition they are better able to support the elderly and staff at the care home and have provided the
elderly with a greater quality of life. Traditionally leisure based programs such as the leisure ability
model, have been implemented and focus on the client and assisting with independence and
appropriate leisure functioning, with 3 main ideas, education, participation and treatment (Stumbo
Peterson, 1998, p. 82 83). The leisure ability model is used all around the world and focuses on an
individuals internal locus (Stumbo Peterson, 1998, p. 82). As the quality manager, this model, I
believe is no longer relevant in current society. A move to the patient centered model would ensure
relationships are the focus, where all clients live in a supportive and encouraging community (Fire
films, 2014, June 26). The change to the patient centered model would ensure clients, staff, volunteers
and families are included and able to form loving and caring relationships. (Fire films, 2014, June 26).
By exploring the negatives and benefits of change in regards to clients and staff and also how the
change would be implemented, a better understanding of the patient cantered model can be
established. The patient centered model does not just view an individual as elderly but treats them as

The Importance Of Interstate Commerce
Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution states that Congress shall have power to regulate
commerce with foreign nations, among the several states, and with the Indian Tribes (Epstein, et. al.,
2017). Congress can regulate the channels of interstate commerce and has the authority to regulate and
protect the instrumentalities of interstate commerce, and persons or things in interstate commerce.
Congress has the power to regulate activities that substantially affect interstate commerce (Epstein, et.
al., 2017).
The hypothetical case of United States v. Bates details the appeal and controversy of Interstate
Commerce filed by Norman Bates, owner of Eros Lodge and Eros Bar and Grill located in the city of
Utopia in the State of Grace. Bates is concerned how his business could be affected by having same
sex couple customers. Bates is not only worried about how profits could decrease, he also believes
that homosexuality is immoral. He believes that many of his regular customers would not return or
customers would be angry about same sex couples being present during their romantic getaway at the
Eros Lodge. The Public Administration Equal Access Act forbids discrimination regarding sexual
orientation in places such as those owned by Norman Bates. The Equal Access Act applies to any
business whose daily operations affect interstate commerce. The Eros Lodge and Bar and Grill are not
private businesses, and there are more than five rooms available for guests. Many guests are

  • 3. Five Forces Analysis The enthusiasm and excitement of starting a new business can quickly diminish when you realise you are faced with the task of analysing the complex business landscape that is spread out in front of you. The number of factors to consider can be overwhelming leading to errors in judgement and unnecessary risk taking. This article aims to assist you in tackling this process by providing a simplified overview of the Five Forces Analysis model. This is not a step by step guide, nor a list of dos and don ts, but rather a set of factors that should be considered when assessing the competitive intensity and attractiveness of a market. The Five Forces Analysis was created by Harvard Professor Michael Porter in 1979 and it provides a framework for industry analysis and business development. Porter proposes there to be five forces which either inhibit or prohibit a company s ability to succeed in a given market. 1. Threat of new entrants 2. Threat of substitutes 3. Bargaining power of buyers 4. Bargaining power of suppliers 5. Intensity of rivalry Threat of new entrants A market is much more attractive if it is difficult to enter. This may sound odd at first as it seems more logical to pursue a market that is easy to enter. However, if you can do it so can everyone else, and if it is extremely easy for other businesses to enter a market with little skill, experience or start up costs you will find it extremely difficult to create and capture any value from that market. ... • 4. The Blessed Month Of Ramadan The blessed month of Ramadan, the time when almost 2 billion muslims around the world are fasting and attempting to do extra good. Fasting was obligated two years after the muslims migrated to Medina from Mecca. In Mecca, the economic conditions for the muslims were bad, they were being persecuted, and often would go days without food or water. It was already difficult enough for them to find food, it wouldn t be possible for them to abstain from something they were in extreme need off. After they migrated to Medina, it was like a sanctuary, they were greeted open heartedly, and many were actually waiting for them to arrive. After they settled down, the verses of ramadan were revealed. Many people may wonder why are muslims so excited about a month in which they abstain from food? Who would look forward to something like that? In essence there is much more to ramadan than just abstaining from food though out the day, it is also about learning self discipline, controlling your temper, and building your character. It teaches a great amount of patience. Our prophet once said, Whoever does not give up lying and evil action, God is not in need of his hunger. Not only is it about purifying your body, also your mind and soul. It is also a chance to increase your good deeds such as giving charity to the poor, and mending family relationships. As we go through the day in hunger and thirst, we experience the feeling of the poor who cannot afford a meal, which would result ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Ethics, Morality, And Legality Of Hacking Essay Addison Cryblskey Mr. Bennett Net Admin 7 September 2016 Ethics, Morality, and Legality of Hacking Ethics are defined as moral principles, as of an individual. Giving dropped money back to a blind man is an example of good ethics. I believe in having a strong sense of ethics. Morality or morals can be defined as of, relating to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong. I believe having a good moral sense is crucial to participate in the world. Without one, you can make a lot of people angry, or you could get fired from a job. Legality or the laws which govern us are rules we are forced to live by. They keep us in line and stop us from doing unjust things. I believe in laws. Without them people who don t have strong morals, or who are unethical, would be able to damage society. The difference between Ethics, Morals, and Laws is slim. Morals make up ethics. Legality takes ethical practices and tells you things you can t do based on what most people think of as right and wrong. Computer hacking can be both ethical and unethical. Ethical hacking is when something is hacked legally and helps better the community. For example operating systems are usually hacked by their creators to see what the vulnerabilities are, and then they are fixed or patched. The most serious issue in the computer world (and in the presidential race) is unethical hacking. Unethical hacking is when someone steals data for their own gain, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction The objective of this study is to understand the direct relation between one of Hofstede s (2003) four dimensions and the risk of reporting for workplace bullying in employees among various organisational culture. Culture effects on reporting of bullying incidents to management due to authoritative distance between employees and managers, and create dissatisfaction at job even after reporting (Wornham, 2003). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a relation between power distance culture and reporting of workplace bullying. According to Loh et. al. s (2010) comparative study shows that people from high PD environment tend to respond and report less negatively then low PD culture as in high PD culture individuals tend to maintain the relationship and accept their status in order to stay in their group. In high PD cultures bullies feel they can get away with it and seems to flourish for e.g. army and paramilitary settings such as fire services (Salin, 2003b). In contrast with Salin s (2003b) studies for effects of high PD in bullying behaviour reporting, Bairy et. al. s (2007) research in India found that seniors doctors been bullied by junior colleagues. Bairy s (2007) studies followed out in only one workplace using small sample size (174) and needs further examination. However, Salin (2003b) carried out his research from variety of organizations, professions and positions included large number of samples. Conclusion In high PD cultures show low level of creativity, more hierarchical and dependency upon relationship (Loh et. al., 2010). Lack of confidence in management response creates fear of reporting for bullying among victim(s). I believe that this study shows the direct relationship between high PD and risk of ... • 7. Essay on The Daycare Debate One of the largest social controversies of the current time are the parental pressures attached to whether or not a child should attend daycare. While many parents struggle with this decision, others do not have the luxury of choice; many questions are raised asking if it is beneficial or harmful for infants and young children to attend daycare, spending the majority of their waking hours with caregivers other than their parents. There are of course many opinions and studies regarding this issue. As with any controversial topic there is no right or wrong answers for the masses. The majority of studies conducted all seem to have similar results. This is an issue and dilemma of such personal magnitude that it should not only be regarded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 22). Perhaps the easiest and most straightforward aspect to asses regarding the effects of the different types of care is the physical development of infants and children. These are objective findings which can easily and definitely be measured. Children raised in a home care setting are obviously less likely to catch illness such as colds and flu, chicken pox and other communicable diseases. They do not share toy toys and objects with those children who may be infected with an illness and they are not in close contact and quarters with those who are infected. Parents who have more education and have more social concerns are also likely to be diligent about the cleanliness of the environment and are more concerned with hand washing and cleanliness. These parents and caregivers exhibit more responsibility with leaving their children home when an illness is suspected, so as to not infect other people and children. Children who are reared in the home environment may experience delays in physical motor skills, as well as physical growth. This could be due in part to less physical interaction and mirroring of other children. The environment remaining familiar and the attentive caregiver, home caregivers often jump to the needs of their children. Although well meaning, this does not allow for the child to physically explore their surrounds as much as if they had to do it on their own. Children reared in daycare from any age ... • 8. Gun Control Restrictions The United States has 88.8 guns per 100 people, which is the highest total in the world. The guns was first intended for hunting and self protection. Later on, it was brought into the military for use. For that reason, people believe that guns can only be used in the military. Others say that the Second Amendment gives them the right to have guns and use it for protection. This was for if any person tried to attack them, they would have protection with them at all times. Later on, guns got used for the wrongs reasons. More crimes were being develop, like the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Now, people want more restrictions on gun ownership and how it should be used. If some restrictions were to be made, some say it will not make much of a difference. Guns use had lead to violence in the past, but also it coud be a good protection for humans against attackers. The argument that may still be going on today is if the United States should put more restrictions on gun ownership and use. The reasons why people are still asking for more restrictions is because more crimes and shooting as been happening lately. There were about 126 mass shootings around 2001 to 2014. The opponents of this issue think that if more restrictions were made, that would not change the fact that there would be as much shootings as there was. Reasons to believe this was that even with more restrictions, shootings would still go on. Nothing would stop the criminals from killing others. Now, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Phases of development extend from the beginnings of human life and continue throughout the lifespan. These developmental phases are characterised by a range of features including brain development, language development and social development amongst others. Gross motor skills include activities such as running, skipping and jumping. They involve the use of the body s larger muscle groups. Gross motor skills greatly improve in middle childhood due to increased muscle mass, strength and coordination (McDevitt and Ormrod, 2010). A child who is isolated by illness may well develop depression and find it hard to resume socialising on his return to school . Consequently he may be behind in both physical and social development and confront the daunting task of recovery. Between the ages of five and twelve years the brain undergoes great development and growth. The increase in neurons and connections promotes the development of fine motor skills. This physiological change is a prerequisite for motor skill refinement and growth. Family income is another factor in the development of the child. A poorer family may not be able to afford healthy food. They may be uneducated about good nutrition. Their child may miss out on the nutrition that a good diet delivers. In many homes television and video games are more readily accessible recreational activities. When both parents work they may not have the time to supervise extra curricular activities. Time constrained parents may also more frequently choose fast foods, over looking nutrition for convenience. The learning environment for middle childhood (as for all others) should be both stimulating and encouraging . The classroom should accommodate the needs of all its students. It is the responsibility of the teacher to be cognizant of their various beliefs and customs. The Australian classroom is becoming increasingly multicultural (Witsel , 2003). • 11. Amber Summerss Dualism Her Kawaii shaped viridian eyes that have stared at me simultaneously, in intimacy and distance. Cupid s bow lips that I m well acquainted with but yet, never shared an innocent kiss of hello or goodbye. Triangular cheekbones, and an upturned nose, that would give prominence in light and shadow shown on a black and white photograph; perky alert tits, firm tight buttocks, a vagina that opens like a rhododendron flower; skin so pale almost seemed prosthetic; jet black hair darker than a raven s feather, and an anus quaint and clean like a fossilized Tetracoralla on a Petoskey stone: Ultimately, all these amenities did not provide her with the perfection of angelic beauty but more the imperfection in sex appeal, as she stretched languorously, naked on black velvet covers, bored out of her silly little skull and yet, comfortable in salacious surroundings. Hatred Between Israelis and the Palestinians Essay Hatred Between Israelis and the Palestinians The fear, suspicion and hatred between the Palestinians and the Israelis are present because of many causes, both short term and long term. Both the Israelis and the Palestinians believe they have cause to hate each other. One of the earliest long term events that contribute to the current hostility is the Deir Yassin massacre in 1948 9. The Deir Yassin massacre was caused by Operation Dalet, which was launched by the Haganah, in an attempt to split the Arab states by capturing villages in between Jaffa and Jerusalem. This caused a conflict between the two groups, which still hasn t been solved, and has caused the Israelis and the Palestinians to be mistrustful and suspicious towards each other. This feeling of mistrust and suspicion affected later decisions held by both groups, and no doubt hindered the peace. This outlook also affected the general attitude of the people, which has made it difficult for them to accept each other. In the case of the Palestinians, they had refused to accept the fact that Israel was a state. The Palestinians also grew to resent the Israelis, thinking that they had taken over the Palestinian land without the consent of the Palestinians living there. Another long term cause that has contributed to the feeling of fear and hatred for both the Israelis and the Palestinians is the 1967 Six Day War. The Israelis hatred of the Palestinians and other Arab states increased mainly because of the propaganda that was released before the war. Many cartoons were printed in newspapers a month before the war and they all implied that the Arab states would destroy Israel once the war started, and some suggested that the Israelis would be expelled from Israel. A few radio broadcasts also said things like this; It is our chance, Arabs, to direct a blow of death and annihilation to Israel and all its presence in our Holy Land. The image of a monstrous Sphinx with the face of a woman, wings, sharp claws, the body of a lion and mysteriously dangerous speech penetrates the whole tragedy as an incorporation of destiny and unknown future. One of which was a Crusade as cleansing. By participating in the Crusades one would have a remission of all sins. And for the ones who could not physically fight in the battles, they would have to help financially.4 Usually Catholics had to go to a priest for confession and then get penance to get rid of sins. One of the many divine signs was the cross. The cross became a sign of physical sacrifice. Just as Christ sacrificed himself the crusaders sacrificed their physical bodies to the cause.4 The final religious manifestation that I will talk about are the sermons. Many sermons used biblical figures as an example of God leading them to war, just as God led many Old Testament figures.2 Two of the most used sermons was the Israelites and the Promised Land and the fight of the Maccabees against their foes. The aldehyde groups of glutaraldehyde form covalent imine bonds with amino groups of gelatin. Initially different concentrations of gelatin were used (4%, 5%, 6% and 8% respectively). On physical examination of the cryogels produced with these concentrations, it was observed that at higher concentration of gelatin polymer (8%) the rate of polymerization was very fast and hence cryogel sheets formed were not proper. As the percentage of gelatin was increased the amount of cross linker required was low i.e., the amount of cross linker required decreases with increase in monomer concentration. Increase in polymer concentration also leads to less elasticity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Decrease in glutaraldehyde cross linker on increasing the polymer precursor might be happening due to the increased probability of colliding polymers and cross linking agent in this unfrozen liquid microphase where all chemical reactions take place. More probability of colliding might be decreasing the amount of glutaraldehyde required to crosslink polymers for gel synthesis. It was also observed that if the amount of glutaraldehyde used was more than the optimum concentrations (Table 1.1), the gel formed lack porous network and were tough and brittle. When the glutaraldehyde concentration was reduced and kept lower than the optimized one, the gels were weak in mechanical strength. This observation suggests that there seems to be some competition between the nucleation process which takes place in frozen regions and gelation process which takes place in unfrozen liquid microphase. When the concentration of glutaraldehyde was lower than optimum, nucleation process dominates the gelation process and the gels formed were weak due to large pores and less polymer wall formation by cross linking of polymers. When glutaraldehyde quantity was taken more than optimum, gelation dominates the nucleation process and the gels formed were without any pores and were brittle. • 30. Women s Model Of Care There not just apart of the furniture, they are apart of the community (Fire films, 2014, June 26). Arcare in Australia recently changed their model of care to patient centered; with a successful transition they are better able to support the elderly and staff at the care home and have provided the elderly with a greater quality of life. Traditionally leisure based programs such as the leisure ability model, have been implemented and focus on the client and assisting with independence and appropriate leisure functioning, with 3 main ideas, education, participation and treatment (Stumbo Peterson, 1998, p. 82 83). Congress can regulate the channels of interstate commerce and has the authority to regulate and protect the instrumentalities of interstate commerce, and persons or things in interstate commerce. Congress has the power to regulate activities that substantially affect interstate commerce (Epstein, et. al., 2017). The hypothetical case of United States v. Bates details the appeal and controversy of Interstate Commerce filed by Norman Bates, owner of Eros Lodge and Eros Bar and Grill located in the city of Utopia in the State of Grace. Bates is concerned how his business could be affected by having same sex couple customers. Bates is not only worried about how profits could decrease, he also believes that homosexuality is immoral. He believes that many of his regular customers would not return or customers would be angry about same sex couples being present during their romantic getaway at the Eros Lodge. The Public Administration Equal Access Act forbids discrimination regarding sexual orientation in places such as those owned by Norman Bates. The Equal Access Act applies to any business whose daily operations affect interstate commerce. The Eros Lodge and Bar and Grill are not private businesses, and there are more than five rooms available for guests. Many guests are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
