Abstract: Litocranius walleri (Brooke, 1879) is a rare, slender antelope commonly known as the
gerenuk. A sexually dimorphic, even toe ungulate identified by its extremely long neck and thin legs
in proportion to the body, and is the only member of the genus Litocranius. It has been found in
geographic locations including: Djibouti, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and into southern Somalia.
Considered diurnal, and resides in habitats areas of woody vegetation. L.walleri are browsers; feeding
on foliage, leaves, fruits, and flowers. It is considered to be nearly threatened due to hunting and
habitat degradation caused by livestock grazing and cutting of trees.

In the late 1800 s, European nations only controlled about 10 percent of the continent of Africa,
France to the north and Britain to the south (Edgar, 2008). As time goes by, other countries gain
conquests, mostly in western areas of Africa. This essay will go over a few key points in history that
led to the Age of Imperialism and the British colonization of Southern Africa. The essay will also

Another option is to amend the current infanticide provision so that it no longer reads as a mental
illness caused by the pregnancy/childbirth or lactation. Instead, a mental illness that appears post
childbirth would incorporate men and remove pathologised ideas about women and their biology that
predetermines them to be mentally ill and kill. Factors could be added to recognise that socio

Arising to combat the social disadvantages that women face, the law attempts to mitigate their
culpability. However, treating men and women differently for infanticide has led to the pathologising
of women. Though gendered justice in the current law has some benefits, it is still tied to traditional
ideas of biology predisposing women to kill. It removes their personal autonomy and ignores that
these laws exist in a patriarchal society that only favours gender complaint women, and doubly

The definition of perfect is to have impeccable qualities on becoming an ideal object or being. For
some it expresses the physicality and personality of a person with attributes like flawless slick hair,
unblemished button nose, or a cunning sense of humor. This also reflects an object; the way it glitters
in certain light, the smooth surface of its carved shape, or the mood and ambience it presents to its
surrounding sphere. It does, however, all depend on preference. Author Ann Beattie writes the short
story Janus which portrays the protagonist named Andrea and her secret love life against her husband.

It describes a poetic feel, like how the bowl deals with a romantic affair connecting to Andrea, who

You can see in the image above where I aligned to my best abilities the beginning of Coltrane s
Alabama with King s speech. Hearing a recording of the two overlapping is much more obvious but
you can still see how some of the words can fit into the rhythms Coltrane played. I personally believe
Coltrane did this on purpose. Of course, we have no way of know but there are some points in the
speech and music where it lines up so well that it s unmistakable. There are also parts that do not mix
well together, some of which you can see above but maybe Coltrane did that on purpose as well, to
add his own take on King s speech. Maybe even say some more things that King didn t say that
Coltrane wanted him to say. Coltrane s use of his playing abilities makes this piece speak volumes.
The beginning of this piece is essentially a lament. You can feel the sorrow and grief of the friends and
family involved in this tragedy pour out of Coltrane s sound. Coltrane never considered himself to be
a political activist. He was a musician first, but he was also a deeply religious person. Maybe it was
his beliefs that drew him towards the civil rights movement. Coltrane played eight benefit concerts to
support Martin Luther King Jr. in 1964 and recorded multiple tracks to help inspired the struggle. Art
like this though cannot depend on content alone. Someone can listen to this piece and enjoy its beauty

being the younger brother to one of the most successful Philadelphia Catholic Baseball players

Matt s freshman campaign yielded multiple accolades highlighted by an All Inter Ac Second Team

A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens, narrates the frustrations of the common people toward
Foulon, a French magistrate. The people rejoice when Foulon is imprisoned since he treated them
awfully. The nature of the French Revolution is the common people s elation at the downfall of the
aristocracy. Dickens utilizes personification, motif, and symbolism to describe the relationship
between the common people and Foulon.
The neighborhood of the common people, Saint Antoine, is personified to show the universal feelings
of rage the peasants feel toward the aristocracy. In the beginning, Saint Antoine is portrayed as just a
physical place, but when Foulon is mentioned, it assumes the characteristics of a man. Foulon is an
indifferent, awful man, who stood by and watched the commoners suffer, and mocked them by saying
they should, eat grass. By personifying an entire neighborhood, Dickens illustrates how Foulon
outraged the whole population, not just a fraction of the people. Every commoner has a personal
vendetta and anger for the French nobility, and thus Saint Antoine is portrayed as one entity. The
peasants hold an intense rage toward Foulon, who would make all of their lives insufferable. Foulon is
not just attacked by a few commoners, he is attacked by the single entity of Saint Antoine.

Plankton are aquatic organisms that drift throughout their environment as they posses no true motor
capabilities. Within their respective aquatic habitats plankton form the productive basis of their
ecosystem and are divided into two subcategories: zooplankton and phytoplankton, the later will be
the primary focus of this paper. Phytoplankton, as well as other photosynthetic organisms poses
pigments called chlorophyll. These pigments allow phytoplankton to convert carbon dioxide and water
to oxygen and sugar, which provides the phytoplankton with energy. Due to the fact that all
phytoplankton posses chlorophyll scientists have developed methods that use chlorophyll testing in
order to understand more about phytoplankton as a whole. Phytoplankton posses different types of
chlorophyll but scientists usually sample chlorophyll a as it is the most abundant form (YSI
Environmental, Cullen 1982, Santos 2003). Several different methods have been developed to analyze
the concentration of chlorophyll a.
One method of analyzing chlorophyll a that has been developed is through chlorophyll extraction. In
