However, the feeling of uncanny was not an easy concept to identify. Jentsch concluded that it

women, Shakespeare and Steinbeck explore the destruction of relationships. In Shakespeare s play
King Lear, the dominant female roles are given to Goneril and Regan who manipulate others through
