Surgical Site Infections At Hospitals, Accreditation...
Surgical site infections occur when a patient experiences infection following surgery, often as a direct
result of the care received in a hospital or other medical facility. While these infections can often be
easily treated while the patient is still at the hospital, the incidences of these infections can have
significant and lasting impacts on patients and the hospital itself, even resulting in a patient s death if
the infection is not detected and treated appropriately. Since these infections occur while patients are
under the care of professionals and during hospital stays, it is imperative that all involved in patient
care follow procedures and policies established by the facility to reduce the risk of infections in
patients. This involves not only information about surgical site infections and their prevention, but the
impact of these infections on patients, hospitals, and staff members, as well as how surgical site
infections impacts a facility s accreditation. The purpose of this paper is to discuss surgical site
infections, the implications of their occurrences at hospitals, accreditation expectations, and outcomes
related to cost and quality.
Surgical Site Infection
A surgical site infection is, quite simply, an infection that occurs at a surgical incision point following
a surgical procedure (Nursing Standard, 2013). As with any medical procedures, there are risks of
infection following surgery, and surgical site infections can and do occur, even in the safety and

Monologue On The American Ambush
How have you been? I hope life is going well. How is mom doing? Are you and her eating and
sleeping well? I want to be very honest in this letter. Please do not tell mother what I am about to tell
you. I don t want to worry her. I don t want to worry you too but you re stronger than mom. What I am
about to tell you please take it into consideration but also don t worry as much. Do you remember
Lieutenant Carroll? Lieutenant Carroll was the closest to heaven that we will ever get but that night
we were in hell. There was an ambush. When an ambush occurs you don t ever know what will
happen. Everything is unexpected and you might make some mistakes. I made plenty mistakes during
an ambush. During the ambush I was firing at the enemy trying to kill them and protect our man.
Carroll was near me. When I turned around I seen Carroll get hit near the armpit. Me and the men
tried to rush to the hospital to Chu Lai but it was too late. Carroll shortly died after arriving. Kenny I
wish you would have met him. I believed that Carroll was the only one who really cared for us since
the start. He was the only person I really trusted other than Peewee but I really couldn t talk to Peewee

Paolaemonetes Vulgaris Case Study
Fort DeSoto Park is a protected marine environment that is next to Eckerd College, an unprotected
marine environment in Boca Ciega Bay. Palaemonetes vulgaris (common name grass shrimp) is an
invertebrate that is native to both areas. The comparison that is to be made is the average total length
of Palaemonetes vulgaris between these two environments. The alternate hypothesis is because of
human interaction occurring in the waters of unprotected areas, the Palaemonetes vulgaris will have a
shorter average total length there. The null hypothesis is there is no difference in the size of
Palaemonetes vulgaris growing in the protected vs. unprotected areas, because predators will eat all
the shrimp in both areas causing them to have the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The protected areas of Fort DeSoto will have larger specimens than the unprotected areas of Eckerd
College, because of the protection rights that Fort DeSoto has in place. Where Eckerd College is not a
protected environment the Palaemonetes vulgaris are open to over fishing areas. The results could
have different outcomes based on a change in locations where the Palaemonetes vulgaris were
sampled. Based on the results, the null hypothesis is rejected because the Palaemonetes vulgaris in
Fort DeSoto are of greater average total length (mm) than in Boca Ciega Bay at Eckerd College.
Based on the results, the alternate hypothesis is accepted, because of human interactions at Eckerd
College, the Palaemonetes vulgaris have shorter average total length (mm) than Fort DeSoto. By using
Fort DeSoto s data from 2012 (5 years ago from today, 2017) the results may have changed
dramatically in the size and quantity of the Palaemonetes vulgaris. Knowing the correct formulas and
not miss keying the information being entered in to the Excel spreadsheet will affect the out coming
results in the table. Knowing that the data from Fort DeSoto is from 5 years ago, I would want to
update that information first by recollecting the data. The direction that future research could take
would be to analysis the three different kinds of shrimp found in the areas. Based on the data

Individualism Individualism
TShifting to a more contemporary lense, Libertarian s ultimate priority of individual rights has
evolved in present day America into a set of supplementary values called individualism. Although this
principle is never mentioned in Hospers paper, his positions stated on personal liberties and self
preservation serve as the foundation for this idea, which extends these rights to be applicable as a
lifestyle where every decision is made strictly for someone s own personal benefit. (Boaz)
Unsurprisingly, individualism also entails a resistance to all type of restrictive measures by
authoritative powers, especially the obligation to provide assistance to another citizen financially or
otherwise. (Boaz) In the Libertarian view, nobody should be forced to even tell someone the time of
day if requested against their will. (Hospers, 331) In this sense, Individualism can be seen as the active
exercise one s individual liberties. Furthermore, according to David Boaz of the Libertarian think tank
The Cato Institute, individualism also gives a person the power to flourish on their own terms, and can
also provide a sense of dignity , especially to underrepresented groups. (Boaz)
Whether or not by design, this Libertarian emphasis on individualism is a theme that has become
heavily ingrained into contemporary American life as the culture, economics, and politics of the
country all have elements of this value. In fact, according to a recent Pew research study, U.S. citizens

Censorship In The Movie Lolita
king. The novel is notable for its subject: the relationship between a middle aged literature professor
and a young girl called Lolita. The story is filled with sexual overtones and motifs. Lolita quickly
attained a classic status. It has also been adapted several times into films and for the stage. When in
1962 the cinematic genius Stanley Kubrick moved Lolita to the silver screen, a question arose How
did they ever make a movie of Lolita ? That question would remain, having even made its way to
Lolita s movie posters.
The screenplay for the film was created, with a help of Nabokov himself. The cast was very well
thought of, Sue Lyon in the title role was very convincing, it was her first appearance on the silver
screen for which she won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. James Mason
starred in the role of Humbert Humbert was BAFTA and Golden Globe nominated for his appearance.
Despite the screenplay, and a promising cast, Stanley Kubrick s movie isn t one of his best, what could
go wrong? The answer to this question is simple: censorship. ... Show more content on

Kubrick quickly realized that making a movie, where the main character is a middle aged man who is
romantically interested in a teenage girl, in America in the early 60s would be extremely difficult. In

and prevented the distribution of the movie. Director was forced to raise the age of the film Lolita to
18 years. There are many differences between Kubrick s film adaptation and Nabokov s novel, some
events were entirely wiped for example the sexual relationship between Lolita and Humbert was never

Virgo Constellation
I have chosen Virgo as my constellation. The reasons are that it is my Zodiac sign, and it s meaning is
The Virgin . I have also chosen it because it s traits describe me. The traits are: analytical, observant,
helpful, reliable, precise, skeptical, fussy, inflexible, cold, and interfering. Virgo is tied with the Greek
goddess Persephone. Persephone was abducted and taken to the underworld by Hades. Persephone
lived with Hades and they fell in love. In revenge, her mother, Demeter, ruined the harvests. People
starved as the crops died and the land became infertile. Zeus, her father, was forced to issue a decree
stating that Persephone should spend only a short time each year in the underworld. When she was

Introduction. Civil Engineering Is A Professional Engineering
Introduction
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design of the physical and
naturally built environment. One aspect of civil engineering is water resource engineering. Water
resource engineering is a specific kind of civil engineering that involves the design of new systems
and equipment that help manage the human water resources. In simpler terms water resources
engineering is concerned with the collection and management of water. It particularly concerns the
quality and quantity of water being managed in both underground and above resources. Since ancient
times we civil engineers have been refining and expanding the concept of this aspect of water
resources engineering. About 70% of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dams built for irrigation are often diversion dams, which are usually constructed to stop the
natural course of the river for sending the water to a different place of need. To control flooding in
certain areas, detention dams are constructed to either stop or slow the flow of the water in a river or
stream. These dams have been constructed worldwide for drinking water, flood control, drinking
water, hydropower, irrigation, navigation, and water storage. Structures such as towers or bridges do
not even experience a fraction of the forces acting on that of a dam holding back the flow of a river or
a lake. There are numerous factors one must consider before the construction of a dam. The basic
concept that one must understand before the construction of a dam, are the forces that act on a dam.
There are tremendous forces acting on the material used in the construction of the dam. For example,
concrete is an essential material for the construction of a dam and factors such as its compressive
strength must be considered when a huge mass of water acts on it. Furthermore, to construct any dam,
engineers must consult a variety of criteria. For example, flowing water tends to erode everything
eventually no matter the material whether it be soil or the concrete used to construct the dam. Civil
engineers who specialize in water resource engineering are tasked with designing a dam that can

The Symbiotic Relationship Of The Hypothalamus Interaction...
As the control center of the endocrine system, the hypothalamus interacts with the body in a unique
way. It has a symbiotic relationship with the pituitary gland, which stimulates the release of hormones
to different parts of the body. Located inferior to the hypothalamus, the pituitary gland lies within a
cavity of the sphenoid bone known as the sella turcica. The hypothalamus communicates with the
pituitary gland through two separate lobes: one leading to the anterior pituitary and another leading to
the posterior pituitary. The connection of these two lobes through the infundibulum forms the bridge
between the nervous and endocrine systems. The lobe that connects the hypothalamus to the anterior
pituitary is called the hypophyseal portal

Muslims In Films
A decade following the 9/11 tragedy, two Muslim passengers, Masudur Rahman, an instructor of
Arabic at the University of Memphis, and Mohamed Zaghloul, a religious leader at the Islamic
Association of Greater Memphis, were asked to leave a commercial airliner (Delta/ASA) in Memphis,
United States, during their flight in 2011 due to the pilot refusal to fly with them aboard. Apparently,
the other passengers felt uncomfortable and frightened by their appearance and the clothes they worn
(traditional Indian and Arab clothing) because of its similarity to the terrorist outfit in Hollywood
movies. Due to this, they were forced to postpone their departure and book a ticket for the next flight.
Feeling discriminated, the men reported the incident to Council on American Islamic Relations, a
Muslim civil rights and advocacy group in Washington, D.C, and claimed ... Show more content on

This act of bigotry was condemned in some quarters, however, the Delta/ASA pilot and the frightened
passengers received support from numerous voices among the American commentariat (Cole, 2011).
Thus, the discrimination against Muslims in the United States is still evident and the need for more
objective portrayal of Muslims in Hollywood films is continually increasing.
The representation of Muslims and Islam in the mainstream media such as films has been constantly
depicted in a stereotypical way even after the 9/11 incident. Having reviewed more than a thousand
films made since 1896, Dr Jack G. Shaheen, a former CBS News consultant on Middle East affairs
(2008), claimed that Muslim characters in American cinema, despite a varied background of
nationality and culture, have consistently been skewed into the Arab cycle of identification, ignoring
the role of other Muslims, and marginalized in a plot

Travel agency is an axis of the tourism. The tourism is the result of the movement of the people from
one place to another and travel agencies generate the movement. So the travel agency is the generator
or a creator of the tourism. It plays a crucial role in the tourism as a brain in human body. Without
travel agency tourism will have no joint effort, no planning, and no programming. Without travel
agency a travel is possible but there may not be tourism. Agency create the trust, security, confident in

agency main function is to make an arrangement for a people who want to travel. It works as a retailer
basis that provides travel and tourism related services to the public. Agencies coordinate with all
different service agents, hospitality industry and make a full package and sell to the people as per their

Summary Of Chapter Twelve Of The Omnivore s Dilemma
Reading Summary/Discussion Questions #3 This past week of class we were to read chapters ten
through fourteen of The Omnivore s Dilemma. This week s readings were really a mix of different
things, but it was a more behind the scenes look at what happens on a farm. I found it all very
interesting, as I have this entire book, because often times I do not know what all goes into farming
and it was interesting to see how it traveled from Polyface Farms to the market to a meal. In chapters
ten and eleven, Pollan continues to observe Salatin s Polyface Farm where he focuses on his
agricultural practice. In chapter thirteen, Pollan views how Salatin sells his food and his beliefs behind
agriculture. Finally, chapter twelve deals with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the contrary, the U.S. Department of Agriculture believes in fence to fence sowing, so there are
really no trees. Pollan points out that this type of agriculture has many problems and many of these
lead to disease. Unfortunately, this agriculture has been stripped of its wisdom and intelligence. Even
Salatin points out that rural schools encourage the smarter ones to go to college and the low scoring
students stay behind to help on the farm. Basically, it s a foolish culture that entrusts its food supply to
simpletons (Pollan 221). Coming from a rural school, I see this being true, but I also have to disagree
with Salatin because they may not be the smartest, but they sure do know a lot about corn. The second
section to be reviewed is chapter thirteen. In this chapter, Pollan sees how Salatin sells his food and
how it compares to other supermarkets. Compared to other supermarkets, Polyface Farm s food is
more expensive; however, Salatin argues that it is actually, if fact, cheaper. He believes that because it
is produced without subsidies and it is more sustainable compared to industrial food. Consumers also
have a reason for choosing Salatin s food over other supermarkets. They believe that his chicken tastes
better and would rather pay for quality, which it seems many people do not want to do today. For
example, I work at a farmer s market and you would not believe how many people complain

The Gift of the Magi Argument Paper
The Gift of the Magi Argumentative Research Paper: Did Jim and Della perform an act of Selfless
Love?
Abstract
The story was written by O Henry in 1906. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple
who did not have enough money to buy each other the gifts that their significant other deserved. The
story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the bible. O
Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold, frankincense, and
mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim and Della had given to each other which mainly consisted
of selfless love, Della s hair and Jims pocket watch. This itself ties into the theme of his story. These
gifts all entail the act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leads to her idea of selling her most prized possession: her hair, to get Jim his present.
Meanwhile, Jim decides to sell his most prized possession which was a pocket watch that was passed
down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He sells that watch and buys Della a set of
beautiful tortoise shell combs for her hair. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in which they
both receive gifts for something they gave up in order to give the other a gift.
Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held great
value to them in order to get special presents for each other on Christmas. They do all of this out of
love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no use in the end but
that is not the main point. The main point is that although this ironic situation occurs, they both find
joy in the thought that they would do this for each other. This love that they have for each other is far
greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn t overreact or get angry with this conclusion.
Rather, he tells Stella, Let s put our Christmas Present away and keep em a while. They re too nice to
use just at present. Although they no longer had use for their gifts the mere fact that they would such a
selfless act of love was more rewarding than any other gift. This in itself is wise. Another point to
stress in that this willingness to be

Iran-Contra Affairs Case Study
The N.S.C. staff was already engaged in covert operations with the contras when, in the summer of
1985, the Government of Israel proposed that missiles be sold to Iran in return for the release of seven
American hostages held in Lebanon and the prospect of improved relations with Iran. The Secretaries
of State and Defense repeatedly opposed such sales to a Government designated by the United States
as a supporter of international terrorism. They called it a straight arms for hostages deal that was
contrary to U.S. public policy. They also argued that these sales would violate the Arms Export
Control Act, as well as the U.S. arms embargo against Iran. The embargo had been imposed after the

North was placed in charge of finding a way to aid the contras, but was not authorized to start a covert
operation. Because of the Executive Order and National Security Decision Directive, any cover
operations were required to be approved by the President personally and in writing. This requirement
was not fulfilled and, moreover, Congress was not informed of it. In addition to the contra operation,
when the Iranian operation began, North was put in charge of both operations. This allowed North to
secretly divert profits from the Iranian arms sale to fund the contras. Even when it looked doubtful
that all the hostages would ever be released, North believed that the prospect of generating funds for
the contras was an attractive incentive for continuing the arms

The human brain is amazing. It detects and processes things when people don t even realize it. One of
these things is sound. People hear sounds all the time, whether they are conscious of it or not. They

The particles of the medium do not move permanently from their position (SantoPietro, 2013);
however, the particles adjacent to the object begin to move back and forth too, almost like a guard on
duty pacing back and forth, who, although he moves back and forth, does not move far from the initial
position. As these particles move back and forth, they bump into more particles, and the process
continues for a certain distance, depending on how hard they are vibrating.
This process of transferring the energy is called a sound wave. According to David SantoPietro
(2013), Waves can transport energy through a medium without transporting the medium itself . In
other words, a wave does not transport particles, it transports energy through the particles. Although
many people think of an ocean wave when they think of a wave, which is composed of water particles
and primarily transports energy from wind, waves carry many more types of energy than people
realize sound and light, for examples. In addition, there are two types of waves: electromagnetic and
mechanical. Electromagnetic waves can transport energy through a vacuum (an empty space with no
matter), while mechanical waves cannot transport energy through a vacuum. Light is an example of an
electromagnetic wave, while sound is a mechanical wave. Then there are three subtypes of waves:
transverse, surface, and longitudinal. In a transverse wave, particles oscillate perpendicular to the
direction they are

The s Intention Of An Open Ended Conclusion
Author s intention of an open ended conclusion in Recitatif by Toni Morrison.
Raising awareness of stereotyping by invoking personal prejudices in interpreting the story.
Recitatif by Toni Morrison is about a friendship of two main characters, Twyla and Roberta, facing a
falling out as a result of invisible barriers imposed by prejudice. Narrated by Twyla, their development
of alienation (slow falling outs) is portrayed through a few counts of unplanned encounters throughout
their life in 1960s to 1980s, the progressive period of the civil rights movement (Janken). The time
period can be assumed by a few mentionings from the story such as appointment with Jimi Hendrix
(par. 47; all page references are to the class text.) a famous guitarist in1960s, IBM people who just
moved into the city (par. 55), IBM headquarter was relocated to Armonk in 1964 (Fuchs) and the
racial strife (par. 145). The setting plays an important part of the puzzle by giving the readers idea
(insight) of the overall atmosphere of the society, where a social class and a racial discrimination
considered social norms. In the story, the author repeatedly throws hints of the social class and the
racial difference of two main characters to lead the readers to guess and challenge their knowledge by
inducing personal perspective into the story. And by intentionally leaving an open ended conclusion
without an answer, the author cleverly provokes self awareness on inferential generalization of the

Batman Thesis Statement
Title Matt Morris claims that the story of Batman is a great cautionary tale concerning the price we
risk paying if we are unable to keep things in balance . He warns that we should take Batman s lessons
to heart, and exercise as much care as we can not to let our work, and our service to the world, take
away from us the most basic necessities of a good and happy life . The Batman series is about Bruce
Wayne, a billionaire playboy who takes it on himself to protect the residents of Gotham City from
violence and corruption, disguised as a high tech anthropomorphic bat. This is an enormous
responsibility, one which comes with constants affronts to his physical and psychological well being,
as well as an inherent sense of psychic quarantine. On the surface, it appears that Morris makes a
strong point: Who would willingly renounce happiness for an ambition as onerous as keeping a major
metropolis from harm? The phrases ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bruce, a life full of purpose, generosity, and authenticity, is a good and happy life , even if this

abstract that they can cover a considerable range in the non binary spectrum of human experience. The
word balance could be used for several situations; although the context of his comment implies that in
this case he means balance on a material and social level, a thorough analysis of the extenuating
circumstances in Bruce s life suggests that Morris s indictment is reductive as it is unfair. As the sole

Long Duration Human Space Flight Missions
Introduction: Long duration human space flight missions are next big thing in space that have capture
our imagination for years. Highly sustainable habitats are necessary to support long duration human
space flight missions as it impractical to re supply logistics (Shaw and Weck, 2014). At the time when
national space policies have given top priority to human space flight missions, study of closed loop
habitats are essential. Thus, it is essential to review development in this area and discuss various
issues related to political, technical, engineering, economic aspects of closed loop life support
systems. Politics and Engineering: A closed loop life support system is very essential for long duration

Most of the life support systems for isolated environment use physiological process. The use of bio
regenerative process is relatively new. Bio regenerative process currently in use in terrestrial confined
environment include controlled plant growth chamber in Antarctica and biosphere 2. Plant growth has
been tested in ISS but only for scientific study and not as a part of life support system. For the future
manned space mission, hybrid life support systems in which biological components are used at the
same time with physiochemical technology in a balanced mechanism for controlling life support
parameters. Hybrid life support systems are envisioned for sustainable long term space habitats but
there are concerns about the reliability of bio regenerative process incorporated to the physiochemical
systems. The optimal combination of physiochemical and bio generative life support systems needs
tradeoff among different factors. Numerous bio regenerative technology should be tested and
performance should be evaluated to characterize it. A common study could be about food subsystem
and computation of equivalent system mass. NASA have given top priority to the long duration
manned space flight missions. Asteroid retrieval mission and manned mars mission have become long
term set goals. This has motivated systematic examination and engineering of sustainable closed loop
life support systems. NASA has developed road maps for development of necessary technologies.

the African Americans students to come in and stated blood would run on the streets if black students
attempted to enter . The chief of Arkansas thought that his order to surround the whole school with
guards and people protesting was all right with that. But president Eisenhower aired live to the whole
United States and said, mob rule cannot be allowed to override the decisions of the court , in
September 1957. When school actually started the president sent troops and protection to the Little

unwelcomed to the school. Four out of nine graduated high school at this school and the rest took off

In Many Developing Countries, Corruption Is A Barrier To
In many developing countries, corruption is a barrier to economic growth. Corruption can prevent the
fair allocation of goods and services to citizens by trickling to aspects of everyday life. On a
macroeconomic level, scholars are of the belief that corruption hinders economic growth and
development (Mauro, 1995).
Definition
Corruption is often described as a cancer, one official simply referred to it as the AIDs of democracy
(Johnston, 1996). Corruption has been defined in a variety of ways, including as dishonest or
fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery . There is no clear cut definition of
corruption. Nevertheless, as mentioned in the previous section the World Bank s definition will be
used in this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
3. A corruption index sold by the International Country Risk Guide (ICRG), a private business
consulting company.
While the indicators have been widely used in empirical research, some researchers have questioned
about the accuracy of these measures and the validity of their use in empirical research (Campbell,
2013). As most estimates of corruption are based on surveys of perception. These perception surveys
have the advantage of good coverage it is much easier to ask someone s perceptions of corruption than
to measure corruption. However, the validity and reliability of perception indicators as measures of
corruption, they remain in fact, a reference for people and both businesses and political leaders to
make decisions, enabling them to gauge the impact of corruption on the economy. Some would see as
better to go in with some information rather than nothing at all.
There are two competing views when discussing corruption. The first suggest that corruption creates
barriers to a country s development. This is mainly seen in recent literature, for example, Rose
Ackerman (1999) and Knack and Keefer (1995). The second being that corruption can be beneficial
for a country s development as they can easily overcome barriers such as regulation to complete
projects although this is not a popular opinion. This review mainly tackles literature from the school of
thought that corruption can be harmful to a

Authority Is A Fundamental Part Of Life Essay
Authority is a fundamental part of life. It is utilized in both micro and macro ways, such as it being
used in a particular group of individuals or a mass society. In order for society to function, some
aspect of authority is required. Police officers use authority to maintain order and obedience
throughout communities. Parents possess characteristics of authority in order to teach children right
from wrong. As well as, teachers are considered authority figures since they need to control and
maintain obedience in the classroom.
Authority cannot exist without obedience. Society is developed on this notion. Without authority, and
its required obedience, disorder and disruption would occur. But how much obedience to authority is
necessary? When is it too much or too little? Authority figures hold such power, that it quite often
becomes abused. We can relate back to these questions by looking into the novel, Crimes of Power
and States of Impunity , and connecting it with the element of the chain of command. Often, higher
authority individuals abuse their powers, just like those involved in the scandal at Abu Ghraib. The
American Soldiers were ambiguously declaring to torture, punish, interrogate, and harm the inmates
prior to interrogation. Yet, these soldiers were following the commands of their higher authorities, that
exactly being the United States of America. Obeying the authority can sometimes be perilous,
especially, when one s morals are disrupted. When you are

Taming Of The Shrew Gender Roles
Teaching the works of William Shakespeare is relevant and necessary. Perhaps the relevance of his
writing is taken for granted, perhaps it is necessary to re examine the role of Shakespeare for the
modern audience. The most controversial play Taming of the Shrew performed between 1590 and
1592 by William Shakespeare brings to our attention the gender bias and gender expectations
portrayed by women. The key message of Shakespeare s the Taming of the shrew is also about
favouritism in which Katherina feels neglected as her dad gives more attention to his younger
daughter Bianca. This leads to Katherina s shrewish behaviour. There are lessons for the modern
audience to learn from the characters in the play especially about gender bias/ ... Show more content

Katherina is a character portrayed in the play who clearly links to why women in society could act
violently and shrewish. Baptista says For shame, thou hiding of a devilish spirit! . The use of negative
connotation in this quote is to portray the emotion Baptista has on her daughter. As taming of the
shrew depicts Katherina s behaviour to be vicious and shrewish in the beginning of the play; she is
seen tying up her younger sister; this scene has an exceptionally dramatic stagecraft and an eye
catching opening as a woman from such a respectable foundation would not have longed for being as
shrewish as Katherina. Katherina s father Baptista even consents to Katherina resembling this in one
of the scene, as he declares she is hiding a devilish spirit . Her dad not treating Katherina equally as
her younger sister Bianca creates envy for Katherina and makes her act shrewish. Indeed, even today,
neglection by a beloved one can influence each other s prosperity and prompt undesirable rough
practices by youngsters. It can likewise make clashes between each other in society. Along these lines,
Katherina is a very stressed character to depict the play s pertinence in the present society in the
subject of favouritism. Baptista s neglect of Katherina in act 2 scene 1 is to be noted. She is your
treasure...for your love to her, lead apes in hell.

The responsibility administering the honor code was delegated to the cadets. This was known as the
cadet honor board. The honor board conducted investigations on cadets who were reported to have
violated the honor code. The honor board would decide on a person s guilt or incense by a board vote.
The results were then forwarded to the Commandant for his action. General Berry had his concerns as
to how the honor board functioned. He believed that giving student s authority to investigate and
determine the guilt or innocence of fellow cadets was not in the academy s best interest. General Berry
viewed the current system was flawed and time consuming. The faculty who had a dislike for the
Honor Board also influenced General Berry. He felt that in order to preserve the academy s integrity.
General Berry believed the Honor board should be eliminated from the process. The challenge for
General Berry was to overcome the pressure placed upon him to make a quick decision. He had to
make a decision which were acceptable to the cadets, the public and government officials. General
Berry had to make sure that his decision was based upon evidence and the punishment if any was fair
to the involved. The French Raven and Kelman Overall Contingency of Power Theory closely relates
to the West Point Cheating Incident. It centers around three components of Power. Compliance, which

Goliath Bird Eating Spider Research Paper
The goliath bird eating spider is the heaviest of all spiders in the word weighing almost half a pound!
It is also arguably the largest spider competing with the giant huntsman spider. They both have a leg
span of about 12 inches! That s the size a small pizza! Their bodies are dark brown covered by reddish
hairs giving the spider a golden blond appearance. The coloration of this spider gives it its species
name blondi which is the Latin word for blond, or golden. The goliath bird eating spider is found in
rainforests from southern Venezuela east to Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and north eastern
Brazil. The Goliath bird eating spider was named by explorers who first reported them to the western

Like all tarantulas, its body is covered in movement sensing hairs. Its eyes can only detect light or
darkness rather than seeing anything. It relies almost completely on its hairs to alert it of prey or
predators. When threated, the bird eater will first rub its hind legs together very quickly to make a loud
hissing noise hoping to confuse and scare its predator. If that doesn t work they will raise up on their
hind legs and bear their inch long fangs. If bitten the predator will experience extreme pain and
swelling, but no permanent damage will be induced. If the predator still won t them alone, they flick
off hairs on its abdomen with its legs. These microscopically barbed hairs (called setae) can be

Women In Buddhism In America
Over the years, Buddhism has become one of the most popular religions in America. In 2010, the
Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) estimated that there were approximately 2 millions
Buddhist in the US, which is around 0.7% of the population. As Buddhism s popularity continues to
grow, it is not surprise to see a lot of Buddhist s tradition integrated itself into the American culture.
There is already a tremendous amount of Americans who converted themselves into the religion alone.
Therefore, certain issues began to arise as this integration continues, one of them being the role of
women in Buddhism. Widely known as the religion of peace and kindness, not many people realized
that Buddhism is also a religion of gender equality. There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

twofold sangha of monks and nuns. So if the women themselves don t step up and form a place where
they can be treated as equal, there will never be a place for them to pull through the hardship that is
put upon them within the Buddhist. After all this is because of a typecast that is assigned to them

Fargo Film Analysis
Fargo is a movie directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen who are brothers. It is a 1996 American crime
film. Unlike most common movies, Fargo has its own style. The story is linear. It tells a story in three

The Major Causes Of The American Civil War
The American Civil War, the issue of a longstanding controversy over slavery, began in April 1861.
The continuance of the American Civil War was about 4 years 3 weeks and 6 days (April 12,1861
May 9, 1865). The war took place in the Southern United States, Northeastern United States, Western
United States and nearer to the Atlantic Ocean. The war was in between the United States and the
Confederate states. After the election of Abraham Lincoln as president in the year 1860, the
antislavery attitude of the president caused seven southern states to secede from the Union to form the
Confederate States of America and later on four more joined with them. The major causes that
directed the American Civil War were slavery, sectionalism, protectionism, states right, territorial
crisis, and national elections. The Civil War turned out to be the costliest war ever fought on American
soil. The triumph of the Unions against the Confederates abolished slavery. At the same the victory
also directed toward the preservation of U.S territorial integrity and beginning of the reconstruction
era.
General William Sherman was an extraordinary general in the history of the United States Army.

The Role Of Contemporary Education On A Sustainable Global...
Introduction (519 words)
The 21st century has marked the importance of bringing up urgent, but complex problems involving
significant threats to all humanity, such as global warming, pollution, and ozone depletion. Never
before had it been so critical to analyse the environmental degradation and to join all the nations
forces in order to build a sustainable global society which is meant to be based on respect for nature,
universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace (The Earth Charter Commission,
1992, p. 1).
The planet needs us to be culturally responsive (Greenwood, 2014, p. 279) citizens of the world, so
that in the age of substantial anthropogenic ecological impacts (Greenwood, 2014, p. 282) our
teaching and pedagogical goals correspond to the understanding of an ecological perspective on the
very well being of the planet in the future. Therefore, the role of contemporary education is to
transform the past observations and insufficient teaching methods to be flexible and broadly inclusive
underpinned by the concept of Education for Sustainability (EfS).
However, at first, we have to understand our own society and the era we have been living in for almost
two decades. In the year 2000, a new geological term for the modern civilisation emerged in the
academic literature: the Anthropocene. The author of the term, the Nobel Prize winning atmospheric
chemist Paul Crutzen, defines the Anthropocene as a new phase in the history of both humankind and

  • 2. Surgical Site Infections At Hospitals, Accreditation... Surgical site infections occur when a patient experiences infection following surgery, often as a direct result of the care received in a hospital or other medical facility. While these infections can often be easily treated while the patient is still at the hospital, the incidences of these infections can have significant and lasting impacts on patients and the hospital itself, even resulting in a patient s death if the infection is not detected and treated appropriately. Since these infections occur while patients are under the care of professionals and during hospital stays, it is imperative that all involved in patient care follow procedures and policies established by the facility to reduce the risk of infections in patients. This involves not only information about surgical site infections and their prevention, but the impact of these infections on patients, hospitals, and staff members, as well as how surgical site infections impacts a facility s accreditation. The purpose of this paper is to discuss surgical site infections, the implications of their occurrences at hospitals, accreditation expectations, and outcomes related to cost and quality. Surgical Site Infection A surgical site infection is, quite simply, an infection that occurs at a surgical incision point following a surgical procedure (Nursing Standard, 2013). As with any medical procedures, there are risks of infection following surgery, and surgical site infections can and do occur, even in the safety and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Please do not tell mother what I am about to tell you. I don t want to worry her. I don t want to worry you too but you re stronger than mom. What I am about to tell you please take it into consideration but also don t worry as much. Do you remember Lieutenant Carroll? Lieutenant Carroll was the closest to heaven that we will ever get but that night we were in hell. There was an ambush. When an ambush occurs you don t ever know what will happen. Everything is unexpected and you might make some mistakes. I made plenty mistakes during an ambush. During the ambush I was firing at the enemy trying to kill them and protect our man. Carroll was near me. When I turned around I seen Carroll get hit near the armpit. Me and the men tried to rush to the hospital to Chu Lai but it was too late. Carroll shortly died after arriving. Kenny I wish you would have met him. I believed that Carroll was the only one who really cared for us since the start. • 4. Paolaemonetes Vulgaris Case Study Fort DeSoto Park is a protected marine environment that is next to Eckerd College, an unprotected marine environment in Boca Ciega Bay. Palaemonetes vulgaris (common name grass shrimp) is an invertebrate that is native to both areas. The comparison that is to be made is the average total length of Palaemonetes vulgaris between these two environments. The alternate hypothesis is because of human interaction occurring in the waters of unprotected areas, the Palaemonetes vulgaris will have a shorter average total length there. The null hypothesis is there is no difference in the size of Palaemonetes vulgaris growing in the protected vs. unprotected areas, because predators will eat all the shrimp in both areas causing them to have the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The protected areas of Fort DeSoto will have larger specimens than the unprotected areas of Eckerd College, because of the protection rights that Fort DeSoto has in place. Where Eckerd College is not a protected environment the Palaemonetes vulgaris are open to over fishing areas. The results could have different outcomes based on a change in locations where the Palaemonetes vulgaris were sampled. Based on the results, the null hypothesis is rejected because the Palaemonetes vulgaris in Fort DeSoto are of greater average total length (mm) than in Boca Ciega Bay at Eckerd College. Based on the results, the alternate hypothesis is accepted, because of human interactions at Eckerd College, the Palaemonetes vulgaris have shorter average total length (mm) than Fort DeSoto. By using Fort DeSoto s data from 2012 (5 years ago from today, 2017) the results may have changed dramatically in the size and quantity of the Palaemonetes vulgaris. Knowing the correct formulas and not miss keying the information being entered in to the Excel spreadsheet will affect the out coming results in the table. Knowing that the data from Fort DeSoto is from 5 years ago, I would want to update that information first by recollecting the data. The direction that future research could take would be to analysis the three different kinds of shrimp found in the areas. Based on the data ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Individualism Individualism TShifting to a more contemporary lense, Libertarian s ultimate priority of individual rights has evolved in present day America into a set of supplementary values called individualism. Although this principle is never mentioned in Hospers paper, his positions stated on personal liberties and self preservation serve as the foundation for this idea, which extends these rights to be applicable as a lifestyle where every decision is made strictly for someone s own personal benefit. (Boaz) Unsurprisingly, individualism also entails a resistance to all type of restrictive measures by authoritative powers, especially the obligation to provide assistance to another citizen financially or otherwise. (Boaz) In the Libertarian view, nobody should be forced to even tell someone the time of day if requested against their will. (Hospers, 331) In this sense, Individualism can be seen as the active exercise one s individual liberties. Furthermore, according to David Boaz of the Libertarian think tank The Cato Institute, individualism also gives a person the power to flourish on their own terms, and can also provide a sense of dignity , especially to underrepresented groups. (Boaz) Whether or not by design, this Libertarian emphasis on individualism is a theme that has become heavily ingrained into contemporary American life as the culture, economics, and politics of the country all have elements of this value. In fact, according to a recent Pew research study, U.S. citizens hold the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Censorship In The Movie Lolita king. The novel is notable for its subject: the relationship between a middle aged literature professor and a young girl called Lolita. The story is filled with sexual overtones and motifs. Lolita quickly attained a classic status. It has also been adapted several times into films and for the stage. When in 1962 the cinematic genius Stanley Kubrick moved Lolita to the silver screen, a question arose How did they ever make a movie of Lolita ? That question would remain, having even made its way to Lolita s movie posters. The screenplay for the film was created, with a help of Nabokov himself. The cast was very well thought of, Sue Lyon in the title role was very convincing, it was her first appearance on the silver screen for which she won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. James Mason starred in the role of Humbert Humbert was BAFTA and Golden Globe nominated for his appearance. Despite the screenplay, and a promising cast, Stanley Kubrick s movie isn t one of his best, what could go wrong? The answer to this question is simple: censorship. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kubrick quickly realized that making a movie, where the main character is a middle aged man who is romantically interested in a teenage girl, in America in the early 60s would be extremely difficult. In the book Lolita is 12 years old, Kubrick changed it for 14, but still producers were highly disapproval and prevented the distribution of the movie. Director was forced to raise the age of the film Lolita to 18 years. There are many differences between Kubrick s film adaptation and Nabokov s novel, some events were entirely wiped for example the sexual relationship between Lolita and Humbert was never graphically showed on the screen. In simpler terms water resources engineering is concerned with the collection and management of water. The dams built for irrigation are often diversion dams, which are usually constructed to stop the natural course of the river for sending the water to a different place of need. To control flooding in certain areas, detention dams are constructed to either stop or slow the flow of the water in a river or stream. These dams have been constructed worldwide for drinking water, flood control, drinking water, hydropower, irrigation, navigation, and water storage. Structures such as towers or bridges do not even experience a fraction of the forces acting on that of a dam holding back the flow of a river or a lake. There are numerous factors one must consider before the construction of a dam. The basic concept that one must understand before the construction of a dam, are the forces that act on a dam. There are tremendous forces acting on the material used in the construction of the dam. For example, concrete is an essential material for the construction of a dam and factors such as its compressive strength must be considered when a huge mass of water acts on it. Furthermore, to construct any dam, engineers must consult a variety of criteria. For example, flowing water tends to erode everything eventually no matter the material whether it be soil or the concrete used to construct the dam. Civil engineers who specialize in water resource engineering are tasked with designing a dam that can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Apparently, the other passengers felt uncomfortable and frightened by their appearance and the clothes they worn (traditional Indian and Arab clothing) because of its similarity to the terrorist outfit in Hollywood movies. Due to this, they were forced to postpone their departure and book a ticket for the next flight. Thus, the discrimination against Muslims in the United States is still evident and the need for more objective portrayal of Muslims in Hollywood films is continually increasing. The representation of Muslims and Islam in the mainstream media such as films has been constantly depicted in a stereotypical way even after the 9/11 incident. Having reviewed more than a thousand films made since 1896, Dr Jack G. • 12. Summary Of Chapter Twelve Of The Omnivore s Dilemma Reading Summary/Discussion Questions #3 This past week of class we were to read chapters ten through fourteen of The Omnivore s Dilemma. This week s readings were really a mix of different things, but it was a more behind the scenes look at what happens on a farm. I found it all very interesting, as I have this entire book, because often times I do not know what all goes into farming and it was interesting to see how it traveled from Polyface Farms to the market to a meal. In chapters ten and eleven, Pollan continues to observe Salatin s Polyface Farm where he focuses on his agricultural practice. In chapter thirteen, Pollan views how Salatin sells his food and his beliefs behind agriculture. Finally, chapter twelve deals with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the contrary, the U.S. Department of Agriculture believes in fence to fence sowing, so there are really no trees. Pollan points out that this type of agriculture has many problems and many of these lead to disease. Unfortunately, this agriculture has been stripped of its wisdom and intelligence. Even Salatin points out that rural schools encourage the smarter ones to go to college and the low scoring students stay behind to help on the farm. Basically, it s a foolish culture that entrusts its food supply to simpletons (Pollan 221). Coming from a rural school, I see this being true, but I also have to disagree with Salatin because they may not be the smartest, but they sure do know a lot about corn. The second section to be reviewed is chapter thirteen. In this chapter, Pollan sees how Salatin sells his food and how it compares to other supermarkets. Compared to other supermarkets, Polyface Farm s food is more expensive; however, Salatin argues that it is actually, if fact, cheaper. He believes that because it is produced without subsidies and it is more sustainable compared to industrial food. Consumers also have a reason for choosing Salatin s food over other supermarkets. They believe that his chicken tastes better and would rather pay for quality, which it seems many people do not want to do today. • 13. The Gift of the Magi Argument Paper The Gift of the Magi Argumentative Research Paper: Did Jim and Della perform an act of Selfless Love? Abstract The story was written by O Henry in 1906. The story was centered around a seemingly poor couple who did not have enough money to buy each other the gifts that their significant other deserved. The story took place during Christmas. The Gift of the Magi is like a classic wisdom story in the bible. O Henrys choice of title depicts symbolism between the three magi that brought gold, frankincense, and mur, to the baby Jesus and the gifts that Jim and Della had given to each other which mainly consisted of selfless love, Della s hair and Jims pocket watch. This itself ties into the theme of his story. These gifts all entail the act ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This leads to her idea of selling her most prized possession: her hair, to get Jim his present. Meanwhile, Jim decides to sell his most prized possession which was a pocket watch that was passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He sells that watch and buys Della a set of beautiful tortoise shell combs for her hair. Thus leading to the use of situational irony in which they both receive gifts for something they gave up in order to give the other a gift. Jim and Della perform an act of selfless love by their willingness to give something that held great value to them in order to get special presents for each other on Christmas. They do all of this out of love for the other. However, you will see that these gives prove to end up having no use in the end but that is not the main point. The main point is that although this ironic situation occurs, they both find joy in the thought that they would do this for each other. This love that they have for each other is far greater value than any gift that could be given. Jim doesn t overreact or get angry with this conclusion. Rather, he tells Stella, Let s put our Christmas Present away and keep em a while. They re too nice to use just at present. Although they no longer had use for their gifts the mere fact that they would such a selfless act of love was more rewarding than any other gift. This in itself is wise. The Secretaries of State and Defense repeatedly opposed such sales to a Government designated by the United States as a supporter of international terrorism. They called it a straight arms for hostages deal that was contrary to U.S. public policy. People hear sounds all the time, whether they are conscious of it or not. They hear meaning they detect sound and understand what they detect. Sound is everywhere in the human life: the beep of an alarm clock, the whirr of a fan, the rumble of thunder, the chirp of the birds, the whine of an ambulance, the sizzle of a frying bacon, the clicking of a keyboard, the buzz of a cellphone, the patter of rain, or the flap of a flag in the wind. People cannot even hide from it in their sleep. The only place a person would not hear sound would be in outer space, but that would be only if they were without a spacesuit, and, ... The particles of the medium do not move permanently from their position (SantoPietro, 2013); however, the particles adjacent to the object begin to move back and forth too, almost like a guard on duty pacing back and forth, who, although he moves back and forth, does not move far from the initial position. As these particles move back and forth, they bump into more particles, and the process continues for a certain distance, depending on how hard they are vibrating. This process of transferring the energy is called a sound wave. According to David SantoPietro (2013), Waves can transport energy through a medium without transporting the medium itself . In other words, a wave does not transport particles, it transports energy through the particles. Although many people think of an ocean wave when they think of a wave, which is composed of water particles and primarily transports energy from wind, waves carry many more types of energy than people realize sound and light, for examples. In addition, there are two types of waves: electromagnetic and mechanical. Electromagnetic waves can transport energy through a vacuum (an empty space with no matter), while mechanical waves cannot transport energy through a vacuum. Light is an example of an electromagnetic wave, while sound is a mechanical wave. Then there are three subtypes of waves: transverse, surface, and longitudinal. In a transverse wave, particles oscillate perpendicular to the direction they are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. The s Intention Of An Open Ended Conclusion Author s intention of an open ended conclusion in Recitatif by Toni Morrison. Raising awareness of stereotyping by invoking personal prejudices in interpreting the story. Recitatif by Toni Morrison is about a friendship of two main characters, Twyla and Roberta, facing a falling out as a result of invisible barriers imposed by prejudice. Narrated by Twyla, their development of alienation (slow falling outs) is portrayed through a few counts of unplanned encounters throughout their life in 1960s to 1980s, the progressive period of the civil rights movement (Janken). The time period can be assumed by a few mentionings from the story such as appointment with Jimi Hendrix (par. 47; all page references are to the class text.) a famous guitarist in1960s, IBM people who just moved into the city (par. 55), IBM headquarter was relocated to Armonk in 1964 (Fuchs) and the racial strife (par. 145). The setting plays an important part of the puzzle by giving the readers idea (insight) of the overall atmosphere of the society, where a social class and a racial discrimination considered social norms. In the story, the author repeatedly throws hints of the social class and the racial difference of two main characters to lead the readers to guess and challenge their knowledge by inducing personal perspective into the story. And by intentionally leaving an open ended conclusion without an answer, the author cleverly provokes self awareness on inferential generalization of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Batman Thesis Statement Title Matt Morris claims that the story of Batman is a great cautionary tale concerning the price we risk paying if we are unable to keep things in balance . He warns that we should take Batman s lessons to heart, and exercise as much care as we can not to let our work, and our service to the world, take away from us the most basic necessities of a good and happy life . The Batman series is about Bruce Wayne, a billionaire playboy who takes it on himself to protect the residents of Gotham City from violence and corruption, disguised as a high tech anthropomorphic bat. This is an enormous responsibility, one which comes with constants affronts to his physical and psychological well being, as well as an inherent sense of psychic quarantine. On the surface, it appears that Morris makes a strong point: Who would willingly renounce happiness for an ambition as onerous as keeping a major metropolis from harm? The phrases ... The virtues Morris extols are so abstract that they can cover a considerable range in the non binary spectrum of human experience. The word balance could be used for several situations; although the context of his comment implies that in this case he means balance on a material and social level, a thorough analysis of the extenuating circumstances in Bruce s life suggests that Morris s indictment is reductive as it is unfair. • 23. Authority Is A Fundamental Part Of Life Essay Authority is a fundamental part of life. It is utilized in both micro and macro ways, such as it being used in a particular group of individuals or a mass society. In order for society to function, some aspect of authority is required. Police officers use authority to maintain order and obedience throughout communities. Parents possess characteristics of authority in order to teach children right from wrong. As well as, teachers are considered authority figures since they need to control and maintain obedience in the classroom. Authority cannot exist without obedience. Society is developed on this notion. Without authority, and its required obedience, disorder and disruption would occur. But how much obedience to authority is necessary? When is it too much or too little? Authority figures hold such power, that it quite often becomes abused. We can relate back to these questions by looking into the novel, Crimes of Power and States of Impunity , and connecting it with the element of the chain of command. Often, higher authority individuals abuse their powers, just like those involved in the scandal at Abu Ghraib. The American Soldiers were ambiguously declaring to torture, punish, interrogate, and harm the inmates prior to interrogation. Yet, these soldiers were following the commands of their higher authorities, that exactly being the United States of America. The most controversial play Taming of the Shrew performed between 1590 and 1592 by William Shakespeare brings to our attention the gender bias and gender expectations portrayed by women. The key message of Shakespeare s the Taming of the shrew is also about favouritism in which Katherina feels neglected as her dad gives more attention to his younger daughter Bianca. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Katherina is a character portrayed in the play who clearly links to why women in society could act violently and shrewish. Baptista says For shame, thou hiding of a devilish spirit! . The use of negative connotation in this quote is to portray the emotion Baptista has on her daughter. As taming of the shrew depicts Katherina s behaviour to be vicious and shrewish in the beginning of the play; she is seen tying up her younger sister; this scene has an exceptionally dramatic stagecraft and an eye catching opening as a woman from such a respectable foundation would not have longed for being as shrewish as Katherina. Katherina s father Baptista even consents to Katherina resembling this in one of the scene, as he declares she is hiding a devilish spirit . Her dad not treating Katherina equally as her younger sister Bianca creates envy for Katherina and makes her act shrewish. Indeed, even today, neglection by a beloved one can influence each other s prosperity and prompt undesirable rough practices by youngsters. It can likewise make clashes between each other in society. Along these lines, Katherina is a very stressed character to depict the play s pertinence in the present society in the subject of favouritism. • 34. The Role Of Contemporary Education On A Sustainable Global... Introduction (519 words) The 21st century has marked the importance of bringing up urgent, but complex problems involving significant threats to all humanity, such as global warming, pollution, and ozone depletion. Never before had it been so critical to analyse the environmental degradation and to join all the nations forces in order to build a sustainable global society which is meant to be based on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace (The Earth Charter Commission, 1992, p. 1). The planet needs us to be culturally responsive (Greenwood, 2014, p. 279) citizens of the world, so that in the age of substantial anthropogenic ecological impacts (Greenwood, 2014, p. 282) our teaching and pedagogical goals correspond to the understanding of an ecological perspective on the very well being of the planet in the future. Therefore, the role of contemporary education is to transform the past observations and insufficient teaching methods to be flexible and broadly inclusive underpinned by the concept of Education for Sustainability (EfS).
