Roper Park Case Study
It appears the trailer at Roper Park may be heading for the dump instead of the airport. The triple wide
trailer had served as the previous Boys and Girls headquarters in Roper Park and earlier this year
appeared destined to become a base at the airport. But slow work and rain may have sidetracked the
project. The ramshackle mess now sitting between the baseball fields looks like something hit by a
tornado with piles of wood, plenty of exposed nails, sheet of tin and other debris piled around it. A
Progress reporter and photographer accompanied Airport Manager Randy Thomason on an inspection
of the partially disassembled trailer Tuesday and the prospect of it being salvageable looked slim with
water soaking interior carpets, ceilings and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thomason said below $20,000 it made sense, but at $75,000 or more, other options were financially
more practical. Both Thomason and Jones said the low bidder, Shannon s Mobile Home Moving and
Grading, had begun the work and should have finished it. But after removing the external roof,
porches and stairs, they appear to have quit and the project stalled with the roof removed, allowing
rain to damage the interior. Jones said the trailer had originally been slated for demolition and money
paid to the contractor for removing the roof, stairs and porches would have had to be done regardless
of where the trailer winds up. We were originally planning to haul it to the dump [before the airport
authority expressed interest], Jones said in a phone interview Tuesday. So we are not out anything.
There will be no use to have it hauled to the airport if we are going to have to deal with mold or other
issues. If it is determined that the trailer is no longer worth moving, the county will still face a
substantial chore in demolition and cleaning the site in the center of the park. But Jones noted
demolition and clean up was the original plan so they are basically back to where they started. In other

Kiowa Tribe Research Paper
Kiowa: The Kiowa Indian tribe s origins can be followed back to their residence by the Yellowstone
River in western Montana during the late eighteenth century. The Kiowa, along with the Plains
Apache Indians migrated southeast to the Black Hill of Wyoming in 1775. At the turn of the new
century, the two tribes migrated once again to the Arkansas River where the Lakota Sioux and
Cheyenne Indians were settled. This new found home possessed mild weather, sufficient grazing and
was full of bison and feral horse herds. As a result, the Kiowa tribe was adapted and became skilled at
hunting bison and riding horseback. The Kiowa were known for capturing mustangs in the Staked
Plains and then training them for purposes such as, hunting, warfare, and ... Show more content on

Army officials began labeling the Kiowa Indians and their allied groups as hostiles due to the fact that
some members affiliated with the alliance had apparently defiled reservation boundaries in Texas and
northern Mexico (Kracht 1). After the conclusion of the conflict between whites and Indians in the
southwestern plains, many tribes were forced to live life in designated reservation areas. The Kiowa
tribe and many other tribes alike lived life in poverty for many years following due to the subjugation
of the federal government fostering a dependent Indian culture. It was not until WW2 until the Kiowa
tribe regained their pride and renewed their warrior spirit. What is often overlooked is the immense
impact that the Kiowa and other Indian members had on America s success during its conflict with the
Axis powers. In August of 1941, Native speaking Indians were recruited to develop specialized
military terms that would be untranslatable to enemy listeners. These recruits created terms such as,
tutsahkuna tawo i (sewing machine gun [machine guns]), wakaree e (turtle [tanks]) and Po sa taiboo
(Crazy White Man [Hitler]) , allowing soldiers to secretly communicate while in

Rogue One Genre
A new teaser of sorts for Rogue One dropped and it s the sort of behind the scenes sizzle reel that I go
nuts for. You ve got folks on sets, folks in costumes, folks with prop guns; all that good stuff. cuz
when you combine Star Wars with moviemaking stuff, you re really going right up my alley. It also
helps that I m incredibly psyched for Rogue One. Right off the bat, there s the obvious thing that I
love the cast s diversity. It fills my soul with glee to know that there are two Chinese actors in a new
Star Wars movie, along with people from all over the place. Not just that, but that these characters
aren t just window dressing but people people. Who, based on what we ve seen, get to do cool stuff. At
the risk of sounding like a broken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, what Edwards is bringing to Rogue One is a tremendous sense of scale. What both Monsters and
Godzilla do incredibly well is contain an immense sense of scale. When you finally see the titular
monsters at the very end they re treated as being absolutely sublime. There s a wonderful mixture of
terror and awe that s nothing short of memorable. Godzilla too gave the famous kaiju a special kind of
awe, making him feel like an unstoppable force of nature. Star Wars has usually been about the heroes
and the Jedi, the big players in the galaxy. Rogue One steps away from that and tackles more ordinary
rebels (or at least the Rebellion affiliated) in their fight against the Empire. These aren t people who
can cut a hole in an AT AT with a lightsaber. For these heroes, an AT AT is really bad news. This is
where Edwards shines. Look at the way he portrays the AT ATs in that first trailer, those machines are
huge, destructive monstrosities. If the Empire is going to be this unstoppable military force, then this
is the guy to be directing the

The Watsons Go To Birmingham-1963 By Christopher Paul...
There are some siblings that fight sometimes because of their differences, but they also have
similarities. The novel, The Watsons go to Birmingham 1963, by Christopher Paul Curtis is about a
black family called the Watsons who go on a trip from Flint, Michigan all the way to Birmingham,
Alabama to visit their relative. But they quickly learn that the rules in Birmingham are a lot different
than the ones in Flint. How this is connected is because the two siblings, Kenny and Byron sometimes
do fight a lot but then learn that while they do have differences, they also have similarities as well.
This essay will be about Byron and Kenny s similarities and differences. One of the similarities that
Byron and Kenny have are that they are both protective. Byron shows this trait when he makes up
stories to try to convince Kenny and Joey to not do something dangerous like when he makes up the
whole Wool Pooh story so Kenny and Joey won t go swimming in a dangerous lake. Kenny also
shows this trait when he tries to tell Byron not to do something bad so he won t get into trouble. One
other similarity is mischievous. Byron shows this trait when he keeps playing pranks on Kenny and
does other stuff he s not supposed to do like dying his hair red. Kenny ... Show more content on

One of these differences is that Kenny is smart and Byron is not so smart. Kenny shows this trait when
he reads to other classes higher than him even though he is in 2nd grade. Byron shows his trait when
he doesn t do as well as Kenny and he just happens to be in the same 5th grade class that Kenny was
reading to. One of the other differences is that Kenny is mature and Byron is immature. Kenny shows
that trait by not doing stuff he shouldn t be doing and doing the right thing, but Byron does stuff he
shouldn t be doing like dying his hair red and getting a conk. And he sometimes disobeys his parents
orders and talks back to them. There are some other differences that Byron and Kenny

Dr. Cash And The Depression
This is about Johnny R. Cash and the depression that consumed his life after the death of his wife Mrs.
June Carter Cash who passed away in May 2003. In this case study you will read about Mr. Cash s life
from childhood till present day. The study will show how I have diagnosed Johnny Cash with Major
Depressive Disorder as well as Alcohol, Stimulant and Sedative Use Disorder from prior drug and
alcohol abuse. It is important to note Johnny states he has been in remission from drugs and alcohol
for 40+ years which classifies as sustained remission. I do discuss how he can possibly recover from
this disorder. I have chosen the method of family therapy and behavior changes. Mr. Cash will greatly
benefit from a strong support system in contrast to the confinement he has chosen. It is my belief with
family present to offer love and support it will change his thoughts and destructive behavior. My goal
with this type of therapy is to show Johnny that he is loved and wanted. Also that there is a way to be
happy and have peace again and while overcoming depression and continuing his sustained sobriety.
The purpose of this case study is to reveal that John R. Cash has depression and has suffered from this
disorder for many years. Johnny Cash has had an interesting past and some of it hints to signs of
previous depression. This study will show that depression can hit anyone, even those that people
admire and want to be like someday.

in the peach farms, then taken in to work in the house, giving the task of a housekeeper and Lily s

Organ Donations Philosophy Paper
Phil 2300 301 13 April 2010 [Title] Is it time for our society to reconsider the prohibitive laws that
make it legally impossible to establish licit markets for bodily organs? So many people are unable to
obtain organs they need due to the lack of availability. Increased medical advances have created the
need for many more organs than are available (Staff). A commercial market may or may not solve the
problem. There is a lack of commitment when it comes to donating organs which could be from fear.
Potential donors fear medical personnel will not make every attempt possible to save their lives if they
know they are donors. Little do they know, their organs will be available to save 50 more lives in the
event of their death. The idea ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example of this situation is the following incident: In 2001, Brian Lykins, 23, of Minnesota, died
because a small piece of cadaver material used to repair his knee was contaminated with bacteria
(Armour). There is also the possibility of the recipient becoming seriously infected due to unsanitary
handling during the dismemberment process. Whereas done in a legally regulated environment, this
process can be done in a sterile operating room decreasing the risk of infection (Armour). There is
legislation and laws in place to avoid these incidents; however those who deal in the black market
normally are not law abiding individuals concerned with these regulations. There are 3 proposed
solutions to the problem. An organ market, a presumed consent program and a required request
program (The Legal Dictionary). The organ market idea would be a system where living donors would
sign a contract while they are still alive. This contract means a fixed amount would be decided for the
donation . This would allow for the donors organs to be removed upon their death. This could be done
with a cash payment or a tax credit prior to death. Benefits to this would mean a greater availability of
organs. It could also drive the cost of operations down due to the number of transplants that are
performed enabling staff to become more proficient and operations more affordable. It would also
decrease the

John J. Mearsheimer s Five Types Of Lying
Lying, a five letter word that is naturally connected to most politicians and leaders. How does this
assumption come to be? And what causes them to be perceived in this manner? When a leader wants
to get something accomplished, especially when it comes to International relations, they must
consciously think of ways to persuade their followers into siding with them. The first thought that
most naturally comes to their mind is, how am I going to persuade or coax the general public into
siding with them on a particular issue and what tools do they have in accomplishing this goal? Is it
really for the benefit of the nation or for a politician s self shish motives. These are the types of
inquires that John J. Mearsheimer fields in his book, Why ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such as, what is the author s concept of lying, to the view he looks at lying with, and if something isn t
definitively a lie, then what is it? Let s start by focusing on what the author considers to be a lie. A lie
according to Mearsheimer is, when a person makes a statement that he knows or suspects to be false in
the hopes that others will think it is true. (Mearsheimer 16) This is a pretty good definition, but
looking at from a rhetorical standpoint, what then is truth? Because in order for something to be
considered a lie, there has to be an opposite of truth to it. This idea of truth according to Nietzsche is
an attempt to make the unreal appear as real (Nietzsche), which is essentially lying to someone. This
bases of truth must come from a more moral position. Are politicians really moral enough to be
concerned with truth? Now, that the author has established what he considers to be a lie, let s shift to
what view he thinks of lying with. Mearsheimer observes lying with, a strictly utilitarian view .
(Mearsheimer 10) So, the author is viewing the topic from a completely practical view, in other words
a fully sophist interpretation. This shows why he is open to international lying, as sometimes a
necessary act. This act in a governmental setting according to the Roochnik article, states that,
political life is contingent happenstance. (Roochnik 236) Meaning that political

The Issue Of Internet Dating
You re newly single (whether it be a divorce or breakup) and are looking for love. Now let s say that
you ve ultimately decided to join one of those Internet dating sites. There are a number (and growing
by the minute it seems) so you have unlimited choices. I myself found my wife on one that I would
not dare mention. Others haven t had as much success for one reason or the other. Which Internet
dating site you choose is entirely up to you. There have been countless horror stories recounted here
and there. Here are two safety tips (ones I consider crucial) to keeping yourself safe. Rule number one:
NEVER, EVER give out your personal information. I made the mistake one time of giving out my
phone number. When she first called, things seemed pretty normal. We had a lot in common, made
each other comfortable, and genuinely were attracted. So we met for dinner and I kindly told her it
wasn t going to work. Obviously she took this the wrong way. Days later the woman called and left a
very nasty voice message. Mind you I sort of deserved it, but still she had no right to do this. I called
her back, and said not to call. Well she didn t answer. Day after day she would call, apologizing about
how she d overreacted. This went on for two weeks (her calling every day) and finally I had to put a
block on my phone number. Lesson learned. There are other criteria, which make up personal
information such as a home address. I have never done this. But have heard from others who

Ramifications Of Sexting Essay
Sexting between consenting minors exposes them to harmful social repercussions, sexual predators,
and emotional health risks, the act should be considered a crime with clear legal ramifications to
protect and educate young people.
Teen sexting violates an adolescent s privacy and ruins their reputation which in turn affects their
future. Due to the fact the adolescent s frontal cortex is underdeveloped the way they make decisions
is different from an adult (). Because of this the adolescent lacks the ability to assess the long term
consequences of sexting. They are not able to see the major risk at hand which is the reality that there

This is due to the information stated previously. Instead of sexting between consenting minors not
being considered a crime at all, it should be a crime with clear legal ramifications in order to protect

social environment more protective of children and youths (Enns). The law is placed in order to
protect the rights of the people and correct the behavior of a person. Since teen sexting is so closely
related to child pornography since it include the sexual depiction of a minor without clear legal
consequences it results in perpetual harm to the child and validate and normalize the sexual
exploitation of children. Therefore, instead of charging minors under the laws of child pornography
which can lead to sexual offender registration, jail time, and heavy fines, teen sexting should still be a

The Caine Mutiny
The 1954 film The Caine Mutiny tells the story of an seemingly attempted mutiny aboard the USS
Caine. Based on the book by the same name, The Caine Mutiny focuses on the tension between a
newly appointed commander and the crew of the ship. Prior to the new commander s arrival, the crew
on the ship do not always follow the strict rules of the Navy, and the new commander begins to
enforce them. As the movie progresses, it seems as though the new commander is the antagonist; he is
very harsh with the crew and is frequently punishing them. In addition, one of the crew members,
Lieutenant Keefer, persuades the other members that the new commander is mentally unfit, leading to
a perceived mutiny. However, it is revealed that Keefer is behind the removal of the commander due
to his hatred of the Navy. The Caine Mutiny tells the story of a clash between the commander and the
crews members of the USS Caine and the theme of how perceptions can be distorted is still relevant
today.
The movie The Caine Mutiny follows an Ensign in the United States Navy named Willie Keith. Keith
is assigned to the ship USS Caine, who is then taken over by Lieutenant Commander Queeg.
Lieutenant Commander Queeg is unpopular among the crew due to his serious nature. Previously,
rules on the USS Caine were lax; Queeg, however, enforces them. He does multiple things that
concern the crew, such as letting the ship run over its own towline and his directions for the ships

The Central Theme Of Secrecy In Lanval By Marie De France
Some people keep secrets in order to keep the peace, to keep the happiness, and to keep others safe.
There are many people in the world who feel that keeping a secret is wrong or may feel disrespected
because a person is not being open and honest with them. Everyone has a different perspective of the
influence secrets have on people. Medieval author, Marie De France, wrote the story of Lanval which
tells the story of a knight who must keep his love with the woman of his dreams a secret or he will
lose her forever. Secrecy is the central theme of Marie De France s story. The theme of secrecy in this
story adds to the dramatic effect of passion that the characters share with one another. This essay will
examine how the theme of secrecy in Marie De France s Lanval was an essential component to the
story, how the choices made by the characters affected the plot, and how secrecy contributes to the
entire meaning of the work. Lanval tells the story of one of King Arthur s knights, who is described as

Yeats Ireland Essay
Yeats Ireland
William Butler Yeats is one of Ireland s best known poets, writing twelve books of poetry in his
lifetime in addition to numerous other works. His poetry often utilizes place and landscape specifically
the natural landscape of Ireland to interpret the social and cultural landscape of the country. Some of
his works, such as The Lake Isle of Innisfree or The Stolen Child, relay peaceful and serene depictions

The images of a war torn landscape and the anonymity of the mother murdered at her door evoke the
feelings of fear felt by readers in the time. Bradley writes Yeats language broadens the context so that
so that it could be any mother and child in the ravaged landscape of wartime (115). The violet nature
of the poem provides a domineering relation to place, one which feels inescapable. According to
Michael Wood, violence in Yeats poetry whether personal, political or apocalyptic is always sudden
and surprising, visible, unmistakable, inflicts or promises injury and is fundamentally uncontrollable.
Before his death in 1939, Yeats wrote a poem titled Under Ben Bulben. Ben Bulben is a rock
formation, a part of the Dartry Mountains in Sligo. The poem details the place where Yeats wanted to
be buried, just under Ben Bulben in the Drumcliff Churchyard. As such an influential, passionate poet
of Ireland, he wanted to be buried surrounded by the landscapes that he grew up in. He writes,

Tracy Kidder s Mountains Beyond Mountains
In Mountains Beyond Mountains, Tracy Kidder documents and admires the work of Dr. Paul Farmer,
a Harvard University graduate with a Ph. D. in medical anthropology. Kidder becomes interested in
Farmer s character, philosophies, and motives, so he shares Farmer s story to inspire others to be the
change they want to see in the world. He writes about the doctor s compassion towards those stricken
by poverty, particularly in Haiti and Peru, and tells the story of Farmer s aid to them.
Tracy Kidder, the author, meets Paul Farmer while he is in Haiti to report on American soldiers
stationed there due to the recent unrest in Haiti. He gets to know who Farmer really is and describes
his motives and character. In a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, ... Show more content on

They marry after two years of being together and eventually give birth to their daughter, Catherine.
Dr. Farmer traveled to Lima, Peru, to address the MDR TB outbreaks there; they were generally more
serious than the ones in Haiti. He continues to contribute to solving the MDR TB issues in Peru by
giving an informative speech about the myths of MDR TB. The team of health officials in Peru
concluded that a lot more money would be needed to treat the MDR TB patients. The issue was where
they would get that money from.
Kidder travels alongside of Dr. Farmer to Cuba, to battle additional cases of MDR TB. Kidder has a
difficult time moving away from his political perspective of Cuba. Farmer encourages him to focus on
the health system, because no matter Cuba s other conditions and reputations, people are still dying
from diseases and lack of medical structure. Next, Kidder and Farmer travel to Russia. Farmer
addresses the issues of the outbreak of diseases in prisons and receives a grant from the World Bank to
supply medicine and extra food to sick prisoners. It is not long after this that the organization that
Farmer is most associated with, Partners in Health, receives a grant for 45 million dollars. This money

The RNA concentration obtained using Nanodrop Softwear. Since the absorbance correlated with
sample concentration of DNA, RNA, or proteins, 260 wavelength contribute to the total amount of
DNA or RNA in the sample. Accordingly, the RNA concentration isolated from HEK 293 cells that

The Benefits Of Human Genetic Modification
Should human genetic modification be allowed in today s society? Many experiments with genetic
modification on plants and animals involved trial and error. While there was success in the research,
there also existed the cost of many errors. Scientists soon want to move onto the next step genetic
modification in humans. The human aesthetic could soon be in the hands of men. Recent advances in
technology and research through other life forms have allowed us to consider this vast advancement in
genetic modification. In studies of genetic modification, scientists rarely have 100% efficiency. We
need to approach the concept of genetic modification in humans with caution. The magnitude of the
advancement is immense; therefore, we need to approach this concept at a gradual pace. If we ignore
these precautions, we risk human lives and deformities in the name of science. Exploring the
possibilities of genetic modification is important to the future of science.
Rudolph Jaenisch bred the first genetically modified mouse in 1974. Today, millions of mice are used
in genetic modification experiments. (Genetic Modified Mice) Rudolph showed that foreign DNA
could be integrated into the DNA of early mouse embryos. Despite the success of the transgenic
mouse, their results in mice may not breed the same for humans. The mouse is small, making it an
economical choice, and it also breeds very well. Therefore, mice were disposable. Scientists can use
mice without hesitation because there is

Ozzy Osbourne Suicide Solution Analysis
Music has a powerful influence in our lives. It is something that surrounds us every day; it has become
so attached to us that we use it as inspiration, to feel relaxed, comfortable and sometimes we make
decisions led by the type of music we are listening in that instant. During the time Ozzy Osbourne has
released many pieces of music containing very contentious messages, which is the case of Suicide
Solution . In result of this piece of music, there were some tragical deaths, making Suicide Solution to
become controversial.
The song was released on September 20, 1980. But its outcomes did not wait too long and four years
later Osbourne was in the eye of the hurricane. On October 26, 1984, a 19 years old American named
John McCollum shot himself in his bedroom while listening to Osbourne s songs. His parents pointed
out that the song Suicide Solution had encouraged him to commit suicide. The police reported that the
solo debut Blizzard of Osbourne was found on McCollum s turntable and they said that the last song
he had listened was Suicide Solution . He shot himself and he was found still wearing his headphones.
John s parent sued Osbourne in October 1985; they sued him and his record company. But the case
was dismissed in August 1986. When this happened, John s parents tried to bring even more attention
to the case. They said that the song contained themes of devil worship and death, they used as
evidence the quote that says suicide in the only way out and they

The Assumption And Implication Of Good Faith Play
Introduction When one party receives a check and transfers it, is the transferee a holder in due course?
The response to this question is it depends on the facts and circumstances. The assumption and
implication of good faith play a role in determining a holder in due course. In our case, one party is
attempting to take advantage of the other through fraud and deceit. This paper explores who is a
holder in due course, the influence of fraud and deceit, the role of the stop payment, and who is
responsible when a situation goes wrong. Material Facts I agree with the court s decision because of

$5,700 check to the teller using the same proof as before, and required supervisor approval again. The
teller spoke to Michael regarding the check, and she instructed the teller not to cash the check until she
reached Talcott and received approval. Talcott approved the $5,700 check, but Any Kind did not

The Miracle On The Vietnam Analysis
After a long summer of dreaded sequels and long awaited reboots, we find ourselves amidst a biopic
worthy of an Oscar, albeit an Oscar for a leading role, but one nonetheless. Tom Hanks delivers
serious acting at his best, with a stunning cast that surrounds him. Clint Eastwood provides spectacular
directing along with writer Todd Komarnicki who provides a remarkable take of The Miracle on the
Hudson. The story is plain and simple, honestly. Like every other extraordinary act of heroism, Sully
saves every life on the plane by successfully navigating the plane after it was hit by a flock of birds.
Yay! The story is not overly dramatized nor fictionalized. It gives a straight view point of the horrors
the pilot and passengers went through on that fateful day. Which is very refreshing, considering all the
complicated plots of the summer and overly thought out films. It also ... Show more content on

survived. The pivotal moment of the plane crash MADE the film a masterpiece in itself. Sully s PTSD
is also made aware of in the film, which is a wonderful that this subject is brought to more light. He is
constantly weary of what could have happened, instead of the heroic feat he accomplished. Flashbacks
are brought up throughout the film time and time again, so much so it seems relentless, although it
provides more insight into the mind of Sully at times. The film provided a harrowing experience for
viewers, providing a look into what the passengers, pilot, and rescue crews went through during that
unfortunate day. Sully is a worthwhile film and wonderful biopic all in all, despite the mostly one man

Speech On Social Justice
Social justice can be termed as phenomenon according to which all the masses are equal in the eye of
justice irrespective of their economic, political and social status. Many students aspire to become

Unfortunately, the methodology at law schools dilute is enthusiasm of commitment towards the social

of seeking a government or public interest job do not end up employed in that work [28]. Justice has

Descriptive Essay On A Horse
Ever since I was a child I knew that I wanted to work with animals. Horses, in particular, have always
fascinated me. After much begging, pleading, years of convincing, and always working hard to save
up money, I convinced my parents to allow me to buy a horse. To me, Indie was the most beautiful
quarter horse I could have ever dreamed of getting. Since our purchase of Indie, we have acquired
another horse, Sherman, and a pony, Tucker. Although the horses have always been hard work, they
were worth every sweaty hot summer evening of mucking out the stalls and frigid winter mornings of
carrying water to the trough in order to avoid freezing our hoses. After all, I used to dream of being a
veterinarian and helping all kinds of animals in some way.
When I learned how to heal my horse s hoof a couple of years ago, the vision of being a vet was
reaffirmed. It was a hot summer day when my dad and I were working around the barn. Like any other
day as we worked we would check on how the horses were doing, this included grooming them and
cleaning their hooves. We noticed one of our horses, Indie, moseying over with a limp and not putting
weight on one hoof. I immediately was worried, thinking that he might have a serious injury.
Let s lift up his hoof and check out what he got into, suggested my dad. (How Indie s hoof looked) It
became apparent that there was an infection and a veterinarian needed to be called. This was the first
time that the vet had to be called out for Indie

Poetry Compare And Contrast Essay
In the history of literature, different aspects are prevalent during the different time periods. The
Victorian poet Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote in the nineteenth century in England, which was a time
when the literature reacted against science. During this era, most people in England believed in God
being the creator. Conversely, Robert Frost is a modern poet that wrote in America during the
twentieth century. He has been described as the purest classical poet of America (Browning and
Cousin 243). Many authors throughout this time period rebelled against religion in their writing. The
poems Pied Beauty by Hopkins and Design by Frost are both characteristic of the time periods in
which the authors wrote them. These two poems have distinguishable similarities and differences, and
the main aspects of these poems that have similarities and differences is their imagery and theme. The
two poems Pied Beauty and Design have many similarities in their imagery. Both of these poems
contain natural imagery in great detail, and the imagery focuses on the unusual things about nature. A
vivid example from Beauty is I found a dimpled spider, fat and white (Frost 1). ¹ This quote describes
the appearance of the spider that is one of the characters that Frost includes in this poem. An example
from Pied Beauty is For skies of couple color as a brindled cow (Hopkins 2). ² Hopkins is painting a

Have you been interested in sports? Have you ever had injuries that you had playing that sport? I have

major injuries. Gymnastics was the very first sport I have ever done. I was a gymnast for eight years. I
started when I was four years old and as I got older I started competitive gymnastics. On January 21,
2011 I was In Indianapolis at the Convention Center competing at Circle Of Stars. I was competing on
floor and just ended my first tumbling pass and I landed wrong, I sat there on the floor for a couple
minutes crying in pain and then got up and finished my floor routine. When I ended I carried myself
halfway off the floor until my coach came and carried me off the rest of the way. I went to the trainer
who was at the meet and she said it was just sprained by looking at it. So my mom took me to the
hospital and I got some x rays and they said it was massive sprain too so they put a small cast on my
foot to let the sprain heal. After I got better I continued to do gymnastics. A couple years passed and I
was still having problems with it so my mom took me to the Orthopedic and he looked at my x rays.
My ankle was actually broken in the growth plate and it healed wrong so now everytime I bend my
ankle it rubs on one of my other bones causing and groove in my bone. The

  • 2. Roper Park Case Study It appears the trailer at Roper Park may be heading for the dump instead of the airport. The triple wide trailer had served as the previous Boys and Girls headquarters in Roper Park and earlier this year appeared destined to become a base at the airport. But slow work and rain may have sidetracked the project. The ramshackle mess now sitting between the baseball fields looks like something hit by a tornado with piles of wood, plenty of exposed nails, sheet of tin and other debris piled around it. A Progress reporter and photographer accompanied Airport Manager Randy Thomason on an inspection of the partially disassembled trailer Tuesday and the prospect of it being salvageable looked slim with water soaking interior carpets, ceilings and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thomason said below $20,000 it made sense, but at $75,000 or more, other options were financially more practical. Both Thomason and Jones said the low bidder, Shannon s Mobile Home Moving and Grading, had begun the work and should have finished it. But after removing the external roof, porches and stairs, they appear to have quit and the project stalled with the roof removed, allowing rain to damage the interior. Jones said the trailer had originally been slated for demolition and money paid to the contractor for removing the roof, stairs and porches would have had to be done regardless of where the trailer winds up. We were originally planning to haul it to the dump [before the airport authority expressed interest], Jones said in a phone interview Tuesday. So we are not out anything. There will be no use to have it hauled to the airport if we are going to have to deal with mold or other issues. If it is determined that the trailer is no longer worth moving, the county will still face a substantial chore in demolition and cleaning the site in the center of the park. But Jones noted demolition and clean up was the original plan so they are basically back to where they started. In other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Kiowa Tribe Research Paper Kiowa: The Kiowa Indian tribe s origins can be followed back to their residence by the Yellowstone River in western Montana during the late eighteenth century. The Kiowa, along with the Plains Apache Indians migrated southeast to the Black Hill of Wyoming in 1775. At the turn of the new century, the two tribes migrated once again to the Arkansas River where the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne Indians were settled. This new found home possessed mild weather, sufficient grazing and was full of bison and feral horse herds. As a result, the Kiowa tribe was adapted and became skilled at hunting bison and riding horseback. The Kiowa were known for capturing mustangs in the Staked Plains and then training them for purposes such as, hunting, warfare, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Army officials began labeling the Kiowa Indians and their allied groups as hostiles due to the fact that some members affiliated with the alliance had apparently defiled reservation boundaries in Texas and northern Mexico (Kracht 1). After the conclusion of the conflict between whites and Indians in the southwestern plains, many tribes were forced to live life in designated reservation areas. The Kiowa tribe and many other tribes alike lived life in poverty for many years following due to the subjugation of the federal government fostering a dependent Indian culture. It was not until WW2 until the Kiowa tribe regained their pride and renewed their warrior spirit. What is often overlooked is the immense impact that the Kiowa and other Indian members had on America s success during its conflict with the Axis powers. In August of 1941, Native speaking Indians were recruited to develop specialized military terms that would be untranslatable to enemy listeners. These recruits created terms such as, tutsahkuna tawo i (sewing machine gun [machine guns]), wakaree e (turtle [tanks]) and Po sa taiboo (Crazy White Man [Hitler]) , allowing soldiers to secretly communicate while in ... You ve got folks on sets, folks in costumes, folks with prop guns; all that good stuff. cuz when you combine Star Wars with moviemaking stuff, you re really going right up my alley. It also helps that I m incredibly psyched for Rogue One. Right off the bat, there s the obvious thing that I love the cast s diversity. It fills my soul with glee to know that there are two Chinese actors in a new Star Wars movie, along with people from all over the place. Not just that, but that these characters aren t just window dressing but people people. Who, based on what we ve seen, get to do cool stuff. At the risk of sounding like a broken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But, what Edwards is bringing to Rogue One is a tremendous sense of scale. What both Monsters and Godzilla do incredibly well is contain an immense sense of scale. When you finally see the titular monsters at the very end they re treated as being absolutely sublime. There s a wonderful mixture of terror and awe that s nothing short of memorable. Godzilla too gave the famous kaiju a special kind of awe, making him feel like an unstoppable force of nature. Star Wars has usually been about the heroes and the Jedi, the big players in the galaxy. Rogue One steps away from that and tackles more ordinary rebels (or at least the Rebellion affiliated) in their fight against the Empire. These aren t people who can cut a hole in an AT AT with a lightsaber. For these heroes, an AT AT is really bad news. This is where Edwards shines. Look at the way he portrays the AT ATs in that first trailer, those machines are huge, destructive monstrosities. • 5. The Watsons Go To Birmingham-1963 By Christopher Paul... There are some siblings that fight sometimes because of their differences, but they also have similarities. The novel, The Watsons go to Birmingham 1963, by Christopher Paul Curtis is about a black family called the Watsons who go on a trip from Flint, Michigan all the way to Birmingham, Alabama to visit their relative. But they quickly learn that the rules in Birmingham are a lot different than the ones in Flint. How this is connected is because the two siblings, Kenny and Byron sometimes do fight a lot but then learn that while they do have differences, they also have similarities as well. This essay will be about Byron and Kenny s similarities and differences. One of the similarities that Byron and Kenny have are that they are both protective. Byron shows this trait when he makes up stories to try to convince Kenny and Joey to not do something dangerous like when he makes up the whole Wool Pooh story so Kenny and Joey won t go swimming in a dangerous lake. Kenny also shows this trait when he tries to tell Byron not to do something bad so he won t get into trouble. One other similarity is mischievous. One of the other differences is that Kenny is mature and Byron is immature. Kenny shows that trait by not doing stuff he shouldn t be doing and doing the right thing, but Byron does stuff he shouldn t be doing like dying his hair red and getting a conk. And he sometimes disobeys his parents orders and talks back to them. There are some other differences that Byron and Kenny ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this case study you will read about Mr. Cash s life from childhood till present day. The study will show how I have diagnosed Johnny Cash with Major Depressive Disorder as well as Alcohol, Stimulant and Sedative Use Disorder from prior drug and alcohol abuse. It is important to note Johnny states he has been in remission from drugs and alcohol for 40+ years which classifies as sustained remission. I do discuss how he can possibly recover from this disorder. I have chosen the method of family therapy and behavior changes. Mr. Cash will greatly benefit from a strong support system in contrast to the confinement he has chosen. It is my belief with family present to offer love and support it will change his thoughts and destructive behavior. My goal with this type of therapy is to show Johnny that he is loved and wanted. Also that there is a way to be happy and have peace again and while overcoming depression and continuing his sustained sobriety. The purpose of this case study is to reveal that John R. Cash has depression and has suffered from this disorder for many years. Johnny Cash has had an interesting past and some of it hints to signs of previous depression. Organ Donations Philosophy Paper Phil 2300 301 13 April 2010 [Title] Is it time for our society to reconsider the prohibitive laws that make it legally impossible to establish licit markets for bodily organs? So many people are unable to obtain organs they need due to the lack of availability. Increased medical advances have created the need for many more organs than are available (Staff). A commercial market may or may not solve the problem. There is a lack of commitment when it comes to donating organs which could be from fear. Potential donors fear medical personnel will not make every attempt possible to save their lives if they know they are donors. Little do they know, their organs will be available to save 50 more lives in the event of their death. The idea ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One example of this situation is the following incident: In 2001, Brian Lykins, 23, of Minnesota, died because a small piece of cadaver material used to repair his knee was contaminated with bacteria (Armour). There is also the possibility of the recipient becoming seriously infected due to unsanitary handling during the dismemberment process. Whereas done in a legally regulated environment, this process can be done in a sterile operating room decreasing the risk of infection (Armour). There is legislation and laws in place to avoid these incidents; however those who deal in the black market normally are not law abiding individuals concerned with these regulations. There are 3 proposed solutions to the problem. An organ market, a presumed consent program and a required request program (The Legal Dictionary). The organ market idea would be a system where living donors would sign a contract while they are still alive. This contract means a fixed amount would be decided for the donation . This would allow for the donors organs to be removed upon their death. This could be done with a cash payment or a tax credit prior to death. Benefits to this would mean a greater availability of organs. It could also drive the cost of operations down due to the number of transplants that are performed enabling staff to become more proficient and operations more affordable. • 15. John J. Mearsheimer s Five Types Of Lying Lying, a five letter word that is naturally connected to most politicians and leaders. How does this assumption come to be? And what causes them to be perceived in this manner? When a leader wants to get something accomplished, especially when it comes to International relations, they must consciously think of ways to persuade their followers into siding with them. The first thought that most naturally comes to their mind is, how am I going to persuade or coax the general public into siding with them on a particular issue and what tools do they have in accomplishing this goal? Is it really for the benefit of the nation or for a politician s self shish motives. These are the types of inquires that John J. Mearsheimer fields in his book, Why ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Such as, what is the author s concept of lying, to the view he looks at lying with, and if something isn t definitively a lie, then what is it? Let s start by focusing on what the author considers to be a lie. A lie according to Mearsheimer is, when a person makes a statement that he knows or suspects to be false in the hopes that others will think it is true. (Mearsheimer 16) This is a pretty good definition, but looking at from a rhetorical standpoint, what then is truth? Because in order for something to be considered a lie, there has to be an opposite of truth to it. This idea of truth according to Nietzsche is an attempt to make the unreal appear as real (Nietzsche), which is essentially lying to someone. This bases of truth must come from a more moral position. Are politicians really moral enough to be concerned with truth? Now, that the author has established what he considers to be a lie, let s shift to what view he thinks of lying with. Mearsheimer observes lying with, a strictly utilitarian view . (Mearsheimer 10) So, the author is viewing the topic from a completely practical view, in other words a fully sophist interpretation. This shows why he is open to international lying, as sometimes a necessary act. Now let s say that you ve ultimately decided to join one of those Internet dating sites. There are a number (and growing by the minute it seems) so you have unlimited choices. I myself found my wife on one that I would not dare mention. Others haven t had as much success for one reason or the other. Which Internet dating site you choose is entirely up to you. There have been countless horror stories recounted here and there. Here are two safety tips (ones I consider crucial) to keeping yourself safe. Rule number one: NEVER, EVER give out your personal information. I made the mistake one time of giving out my phone number. When she first called, things seemed pretty normal. We had a lot in common, made each other comfortable, and genuinely were attracted. So we met for dinner and I kindly told her it wasn t going to work. Obviously she took this the wrong way. Days later the woman called and left a very nasty voice message. Mind you I sort of deserved it, but still she had no right to do this. I called her back, and said not to call. Well she didn t answer. Day after day she would call, apologizing about how she d overreacted. This went on for two weeks (her calling every day) and finally I had to put a block on my phone number. Lesson learned. There are other criteria, which make up personal information such as a home address. I have never done this. But have heard from others who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many experiments with genetic modification on plants and animals involved trial and error. While there was success in the research, there also existed the cost of many errors. Scientists soon want to move onto the next step genetic modification in humans. The human aesthetic could soon be in the hands of men. Recent advances in technology and research through other life forms have allowed us to consider this vast advancement in genetic modification. In studies of genetic modification, scientists rarely have 100% efficiency. We need to approach the concept of genetic modification in humans with caution. The magnitude of the advancement is immense; therefore, we need to approach this concept at a gradual pace. If we ignore these precautions, we risk human lives and deformities in the name of science. Exploring the possibilities of genetic modification is important to the future of science. Rudolph Jaenisch bred the first genetically modified mouse in 1974. Today, millions of mice are used in genetic modification experiments. (Genetic Modified Mice) Rudolph showed that foreign DNA could be integrated into the DNA of early mouse embryos. Despite the success of the transgenic mouse, their results in mice may not breed the same for humans. The mouse is small, making it an economical choice, and it also breeds very well.
