Our media products will be aimed at both males and females. They will be
between the ages of 15-19, as our products belong to the horror genre. As
teenagers are the ones most likely to watch horrors, we believe this is the right
decision.
They will be outgoing individuals, just as the characters from our film. This
way, they will be able to relate to them and connect to them. Most of the
audience will be in some form of education whether it be sixth form or
university, again showing the close bond they will have with their friends which
will be reflected in the movie.
Although they may not be horror enthusiasts, they are definitely fans of the
genre and they watch horror movies for their entertainment. Our audience
enjoys having fun and they are quite adventurous. However, they are also
intelligent and they like being challenged mentally, therefore horror films that
present a sense of mystery will intrigue them. They are creatively minded and
they might enjoy subjects like Art, and work in a creative environment such as
advertising. This means that they are open to new things and willing to explore
other people’s creativity.
The supernatural sub-genre interests them. They are likely to be open minded
and believe in the supernatural. Therefore, a film that addresses their
questions about this will excite them. Because they enjoy horror films, they
also enjoy other activities that will give them some adrenaline rush, such as
sports or rollercoasters, etc.
Girls, however, are more likely to connect and relate to the movie, as it
presents a group of friends that are going through something frightening. They
are therefore likely to go and see it in the cinema with their friends, and it
