Is your company faced with the challenge of becoming more agile in a rapidly changing and highly dynamic business environment?
In this presentation, Chuck Cobb, the author of The Project Manager's Guide to Mastering Agile, guides us on how to develop a training program that provides the right blend of Agile and traditional plan-driven project management principles and practices to fit your business.
Chuck Cobb has more than 20 years of project management experience in a broad range of industries, and is the author of five books on Agile Project Management and Business Excellence.
Continuous learning has become imperative; many skills now have a half-life of just 2½ to 5 years. But employees are overwhelmed, distracted and impatient. Corporate learning (L&D) needs to adapt to the needs of modern learners.
Everyone in corporate learning is talking about MOOCs - massive, open, online courses - right now. But while there's a lot of curiosity among L&D professionals, there is not much understanding of what, exactly, MOOCs are and how they do (and don't) work for workforce training.
This presentation summarizes and analyzes what MOOCs really mean for enterprise L&D:
• What makes MOOCs different from other forms of online learning;
• How MOOCs have (and haven't) evolved to meet the needs of enterprise L&D; and
• Critical lessons learned by leading organizations already using MOOCs.

Separating Fact from Fiction: Today's Learners, What Do They Really Want (and...David Blake
Traditional approaches to workplace learning are getting less and less attention—and for good reason. These approaches simply do not meet the needs of today’s learners.
Concepts such as experiential learning, personalized learning, self-directed learning and life-long learning existed long before training functions began appearing in organizations. Today, innovations in technology allow employees to capitalize on ubiquitous sources of learning that exist beyond the traditional four walls of their organization.
Employees want a personalized learning experience that fits their individual needs, learning speed, and preferred learning style. Now it is up to you to answer their call.
In this presentation, you will learn:
-The basic tenets of adult learning theory, the brain-science behind microlearning, and a few other geeky things
Traditional approaches to workplace learning are getting less and less attention—and for good reason. These approaches simply do not meet the needs of today’s learners.
-The roles that "personalization" and "transparency" play in a learning function

NMC Strategic Brief - Digital Literacy in Higher EducationCourtney Miller
Digital Literacy in Higher Education, Part II: An NMC Horizon Project Strategic Brief explores the landscape
of digital literacy as it relates to advancing more authentic learning in campus settings. Supported by
Adobe, the aim of this independent research is to illuminate current frameworks, exemplars, and
challenges that are impacting the evolution of this pressing topic. The brief is intended to contribute
to the body of knowledge used by the higher education community to inform strategic planning
around digital literacy initiatives.
Fall 2016 reports highlights the accomplishments of the USC Annenberg Digital Lounge makerspace and the creative media team, including programming and rigorous national conference tour.
I was asked to present at the Adobe Creative Campus Summit at the Adobe Campus in Lehi, Utah. As part of this collaboration, thought-leaders throughout academia shared their insights on creativity in the classroom, and how this integrates into the curriculum. These were my thoughts, based on the Annenberg Digital Lounge I direct and a new digital literacy course that I teach. (Note: this slide deck was originally created in Apple Keynote and includes animation and video).
“The Annenberg Digital Lounge is a creative makerspace where members of the Annenberg community can learn to experiment and play with the digital tools they have received as part of the Digital Literacy Initiative. Through workshops, events, helpdesk support and Adobe Certification Courses, we aim to promote a DIY culture that empowers our students to create and learn, regardless of their background or prior experience. From audio to video, to interactivity and the web, we want to make these tools approachable and fun for all!”

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

1. 5 Benefits of Digital Literacy
When you foster creativity and teach digital skills to all your students in every major, your
students learn how to think critically, creatively solve problems, and express their ideas in
compelling ways. With these skills, students succeed both in school and in their careers.
Here are five things you need to know about digital literacy and the benefits it brings to both
your students and your school:
76% of students and 75% of teachers wish there were more of a focus on creativity in the classroom.
ADOBE GEN Z CREATIVITY STUDY
“[Digital literacy] initiatives have
the potential to generate more
excitement around learning
for students, especially as their
growing fluency enables deeper

equips them with a new lens

Digital literacy boosts student engagement.1.When students use powerful content-creation tools like Adobe Creative Cloud for their
assignments and projects, they engage more deeply with the content, which helps them
better understand information and communicate their knowledge in visually and digitally
compelling ways. At the same time, faculty with digital skills can also make their course
materials more interesting, which helps with student engagement as well.
2. 78% of students and 77% of teachers believe that Generation Z learns best by creating and hands-on experiences.
ADOBE GEN Z CREATIVITY STUDY
“Digitally literate students know
how, why, and when to use
digital tools. They can spot
opportunities to take advantage
of them when adding a new
level of creative expression to a

According to Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy, the act of creating requires a higher order of thinking
than other activities like remembering, understanding, and applying. When students use
Creative Cloud tools to create presentations, infographics, animations, videos, or ePortfolios
for their assignments, they understand it more deeply and retain it longer. This enables them
to communicate their ideas, discoveries, and arguments in more innovative ways—often
exceeding expectations in classes across all disciplines.
Students who are proficient with digital tools like Creative Cloud can more easily differentiate
themselves during the job application process. They can create media-rich resumes and
showcase their personal brands with ePorfolios of their student work. They can walk into
interviews prepared to show examples of the digital communication skills companies expect,
and they can demonstrate their ability to learn and apply new technology skills. Perhaps
most importantly, they can prove that they’ve developed the creative mindset employers
crave.

Digital literacy makes your school more
competitive.4.
Today’s digital natives are content creators, not just content consumers. By providing Creative
Cloud to all your students—not just the art and design majors—you can differentiate
your institution, ensure all students are digitally literate, and recruit new students more
successfully. For example, innovative schools like University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
University of Arizona, Clemson University, and many others are making digital literacy and
student access and equity a priority.
