Introduction to CNC
machines
ā—
CNC is the short form for Computer
Numerical control.
ā—
The CNC machine comprises of the mini
computer or the microcomputer that acts as
the controller unit of the machine.
ā—
In CNC machine the program is stored in the
memory of the computer. The programmer
can easily write the codes, and edit the
programs as per the requirements.

Introduction to 5 axis CNC
machining
ā—
5-axis machining is a mode of CNC
machining. The machining centers we usually
use are 3-axis machining centers. The 3-axis
refers to the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis of the
machining center. 5-axis machining center is
to add two rotating shafts to the three
common linear axes of X, Y, and Z. Two of the
three axes of A, B, and C have diferent
motion modes to meet the technical needs of
various products.
