4G is the next generation of high-speed mobile technology that will provide speeds of 100Mbps for moving devices and 1Gbps for stationary devices, replacing 3G networks. It will offer more services like online gaming and broadband access for remote locations. Bharati Airtel launched India's first 4G service in Kolkata in 2012 using TD-LTE technology. 4G will create hybrid wireless networks using technologies like WiMax, LTE, and UMB to allow interconnection between devices using Bluetooth, wired, and wireless connections in an ad hoc manner.
