This document discusses Li-Fi technology, which uses visible light communication to transmit data wirelessly. Li-Fi uses LED bulbs that can vary in intensity faster than the human eye can detect to transmit data. It was invented by a team including Professor Harald Hass. Li-Fi provides connectivity through light bulbs without needing internet access fees. It has advantages over Wi-Fi like higher bandwidth, more secure connections, and not interfering with other wireless devices. However, it requires line of sight and signal can be blocked by opaque objects. While challenges remain, Li-Fi is seen as a promising future technology for wireless internet connectivity.
