This document analyzes the design elements of four mixed genre magazine covers. It discusses the graphology, typography, color palettes, and modes of address used for each cover. The graphology includes placement of images and text. Typography involves use of different fonts, sizes, and colors. Color palettes provide clues to the intended audiences. Modes of address are direct through images looking straight ahead in all four covers. Design elements like these are used strategically to attract target audiences.

2. Graphology used in this is the main image in the centre and the
writing related to the image around the edge and the writing
related to the rest of the image around the edge. The
masthead Is on the left side.
Typography used is the same font but used at different sizes
and in different colours. This depends on how important the
text is.
The colour pallet used is white red and a grey. This doesn’t
show the magazine is aimed at a specific sex and also the title
is very bold and stands out.
Mode of address is direct as the image is looking straight
ahead.

3. Graphology used is the main image to one side and the writing on the
opposite side. The effect of this is there isn’t too much writing to read which
some audience will enjoy and the short and sappy.
Typography used is varied fonts on different pieces of text. This could be to
make the magazine look more interesting.
The colour pallet used is white red black and some bits of yellow, these are all
bold colours used and will be purposely used to attract audience.
Mode of address is direct as the image is looking straight ahead

4. The colour pallet use is blue, yellow, red, white, and black. This
indicates that this magazine is aimed at males as they are
masculine colours.
Typography used is varied fonts and varied font sizes and colours
this makes the magazine stand out next to others and makes is
different to others.
Graphology used is the main image in the centre and is edited in a
different colour to the rest of the front cover.
Mode of address is direct because the image is seen to as looking
straight at you.

5. Graphology used is the main image side on but still looking straight
ahead. The writing is coming from behind the image and looks as if it
coming out of the image. This cover is very attractive to the eye because
of the different style it uses compared to others and because it uses
black on the background and red and white for the text.
Colour pallet used is red white and black white could suggest its aimed
at males at the image is also a male. These are bold colour which make
there magazine seem more interesting.
Mode of address is direct because the image looks as if its looking
directly at you.
