The African Chicken Genetic Gains (ACGG) program aims to enhance productivity in sub-Saharan Africa by improving tropical chicken breeds through five key pillars, including farmer-focused genetics and public-private partnerships. Achievements to date include baseline data access for various countries, active training programs, and policy improvements in poultry management. Future plans focus on a long-term genetic gains program, collaborating with various national and private sector partners to support sustainable poultry production.
