The document outlines the six easy steps to conducting an effective needs assessment: 1) perform a gap analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and skills gaps; 2) identify priorities and importance; 3) collect appropriate data through interviews; 4) analyze the data; 5) provide feedback on performance and training needs; and 6) develop an action plan. The needs assessment process determines if training is needed to improve performance and informs the design of the training program.

Measuring the Impact of eLearning: Turning Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evalu...Lambda Solutions
Access to webinar recording here: http://go.lambdasolutions.net/webinar-growing-trend-of-open-source-learning
Whether it’s to inform, to improve, to change—or a combination of these factors, training must have measurable outcomes that contribute to larger organizational goals. Good training evaluation techniques identify and measure the impact of learning on job performance and ultimately, organization-wide business results. When it comes to measuring eLearning, Donald Kirkpatrick’s Four Level of Evaluation model is one of the most widely used and respected worldwide.
Co-hosted by Paula Yunker, with 30+ years of instructional design experience and certification in Kirkpatricks Four Levels Evaluation—this webinar will explore why learning evaluation is an important component of any training program and how you can measure the application of learning beyond the learning event itself. We’ll discuss how to implement learning evaluation that’s practical and provides value but isn’t complicated, time consuming or expensive. Paula will also share her favorite learning evaluation resources after the webinar!
Check out the slides to learn more about:

What ISO Management Systems can learn from Balanced Scorecard?PECB
Balanced Scorecard is a Strategy Management System developed by Professors Kaplan and Norton. It is probably the most comprehensive system/tool in the modern world. It allows an organization balance its Strategy across 4 perspectives (Financial, Customer, Internal Process and Learning and Growth Perspectives). It further lets an organization break down each of these 4 perspectives based on 4 criteria which are Objectives, Measures, Target and Initiatives. There is a lot that ISO Implementers and Auditors need to learn from a Balanced Scorecard that will help in better delivering ISO engagements. This webinar will take a critical look at what is Balanced Scorecard and what ISO Consultants need to know to about it.
Main points covered:
• What is a Balance Scorecard?
• How Balance Scorecard allows organization to balance its Strategy across 4 perspectives (Financial, Customer, Internal Process and Learning and Growth Perspectives)
• How an organization breaks down each 4 perspective based on 4 criteria (Objectives, Measures, Target and Initiatives)

An Outcome Measurement Model: Is your Agile Adoption Moving the Needle?Cprime
The Version One Annual State of Agile survey indicates that 94% of organizations are practicing Agile in one way, shape, or form.
But what might this investment yield besides an Agile label? In many cases, it appears that organization leaders cannot produce concrete data to meet this ask, or articulate the gain clearly using measures that count and impact the bottom line.
One solution is to begin with the desired outcomes driving the adoption and identify both leading and lagging indicators to gauge whether the change initiative is moving the needle and impacting the bottom line. This approach has been successful because it creates alignment and accountability.
Join Michael McCalla, technology leader, transformation specialist, avid agile practitioner and founder of Lean Agile Intelligence, for this interactive session, and learn how this outcome measurement model can help you start changing the conversation!

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
