The study indicates various techniques used by the two companies, that is, Kudos Chemical Limited, that is a manufacturing company and Virasat-e-Khalsa which belongs to the services sector. The study made under observation comprises of the services and guidance of a recruitment agency called Jobachievers, that is functioning from its office at Chandigarh, to provide job opportunities to the dserving candidates, in mostly areas in Punjab.

1) INTRODUCTION
The two companies undertaken in the project study comprises of a manufacturing firm named KUDOS CHEMICAL LIMITED and a servicing unit named VIRASAT-E-KHALSA. The former is having a chemical base and is in the business of manufacturing “caffeine”.
The latter is a service unit, having the structure of a theme museum, in which the culture of Punjab has been depicted in a versatile manner. Both of the companies need an adequate base of employees, who can carry out the various functions int the firms. Due to the different nature of the working aspects of these two firms, the recruitment and the selection process of both the firms are entirely different.
The only area in which the recruitment process of these two firms concides is that both the firms seeks out the help of recruitment agencies to find the appropriate and deserving candidates for their firms. The project report, hereby, includes my work at such a recruitment agency named “JOBACHIEVERS” under which I studied the recruitment and selection processes of various firms and prepared my project report on the comparison between the recruitment and selection process of a manufacturing firm and a service firm.
The process of recruitment begins with the sending of the “Job description” by the company. The job description is comprising of the following requirements:
1) Position vacant
This very first point, clarifies to the recruiter, for which required position, the candidate is needed. The recruiter then make use of the data that is available to him, or creates new data of the candidates. Since I undergone the training in a job consultancy, there was pre-recorded data already available. Thus, the recruiter can contact the person and can make him attend the scheduled interview for the required post.
2) Examining the Job description
The Job description provided by the company tells the recruiter, the complete insight of the position vacant and also provides the knowledge of what the company is seeking in the required candidate. Understanding the complete JD (Job description) only can help the recruiter to move to the next step. If the recruiter fails to understand the need of the company from the JD provided, then all of the steps undertaken by the recruiter would turn out to be a failure.

Talent development as well as employee engagement and commitment are the most important workforce challenges for enterprises today. The majority of employees in the Western world are either indifferent or unengaged. Social science suggests that employee motivation drives employee engagement which in turn drives customer satisfaction and loyalty. This means that employee engagement has a direct impact on the performance. Companies with high sustainable engagement achieve the threefold operating margin compared to companies with low traditional engagement. Enterprise gamification offers a solution to promote engagement across the company.
Gaming in general is for everybody. This is mainly driven by the digitalization and evolution of video games. The democratic shift entails generations of digital natives that grow up with games. Gaming is therefore omnipresent in their lives. However, gamification is not a form of pure fun at work or a video game on top of work. Gamification aims to leverage the ludic drive of humans embedded in a state-of-the-art technological environment. It is defined as the use of game mechanics and experience design in a non-game context to (digitally) engage and motivate employees to achieve their objectives and in turn meet aligned organizational goals. This can help to move a significant part of the indifferent employees into the group of engaged to highly engaged employees.

Guiding Coalition
As you are aware, I was chosen to join the team responsible for strategic planning to help them access the exit strategy the company is laying out. I'm excited to share information about potential collaborators and their sway over the company and the intended audience. We are all aware that change is a constant in organizations, and the success of the change will depend on how well employers and employees can adjust. Businesses must also carefully choose the people who will spearhead the change. All other interventions will have access to the market if the right leaders are chosen to influence the community (Breuer et al., 2018). Introducing the drug to the market will require supportive influence from both the internal and external markets for our business. We'll begin by choosing a team of leaders who lead the other team and give their subordinates feedback. These leaders need traits and abilities that improve the organization's reputation. Their organizational expertise, which can be gauged by the years they have worked there, will be crucial in this process. Additionally, it will be necessary for them to be enthusiastic because it will affect how well they perform. The last factor is their role, which largely affects the process because they will use their expertise to encourage participation.
The first person selected is Omar, who is the Manufacturing Director. Omar manages three departments; Supply Chain Strategies, Middle Eastern Operations and North America Operations. He is also managing 12 manufacturing plants that have 580 hourly workers. He has served the organization for three years, but his job satisfaction is rated at the highest level. Omar influences three areas in this organization; manufacturing, supply chain and operations.
I chose Omar because his influence in manufacturing is enough to provide the organization with information about the capacity and the size of the market it can serve. He is also in a position to advise the business on regulatory standards and market demand. This leader manages supply chain individuals who are in a position to understand cost-saving products. The department will be at the forefront in selecting the best partners to work with and how to satisfy their customers. Operations will also be able to take the lead in quality and regulatory adherence.
The other person to be included in this coalition is J.

A Study on Incentives, Rewards and Benefits in an OrganizationMasum Hussain
Workforce today is more articulate about their needs. Employees desire the best of everything – competitive salaries, comfortable & inspirational lifestyles, job security, career enhancement options, work-life balance, and so on. Competition for talent is ever increasing and organizations need to have well-defined philosophies and strategies to help them develop innovative ways of tapping intrinsic motivation of employees by engaging their hearts and minds. While many organisations are struggling to make sufficient progress in this direction, there are organizations that have institutionalized robust practices and effective processes in different people practice areas that go a long way in positively impacting employee perception. In this regard, two types of reward are identified, and they are intrinsic reward and extrinsic reward. Extant research showed that reward can affect job satisfaction and thereby employee performance, so this study proposes a new framework based on mediating role of job satisfaction. India’s Best Companies for Rewards and Recognition was conceptualized to recognize companies who are leading the way in the area of Rewards and Recognition for us learns from. Human resources are the most important among all the resources an organization owns. To retain efficient and experienced workforce in an organization is very crucial in overall performance of an organization. Motivated employees can help make an organization competitively more value added and profitable. The present study is an attempt to find out the major factors that motivate employees and it tells what is the relationship among reward, recognition and motivation while working within an organization. The data were collected from employees of diverse type of organizations to gain wide representation of sectoral composition. The participation in survey was voluntary and confidentiality of responses was ensured. The statistical analysis showed that different dimensions of work motivation and satisfaction are significantly correlated and reward and recognition have great impact on motivation of the employees. Implications of the study for managers and policy makers in the context of human resource practices have been discussed. Limitations and guidelines for future research are also provided.

Throughout the years, there has been a shift from manual labour jobs to office-based work. In fact, in 1981, one out of three men and one out of five women had a manufacturing job whilst, in 2001, this has decreased to one out of five and one out of ten respectively. In addition to this decrease, there was an increase of workers in the service industry which changed the employees’ expectations of their working environment (Building a case for wellness, 2008). Today, employees require more personal services beside health and safety benefits as they are less likely to be injured at work. They are hoping for more flexibility such as the ability to work at home and the flexibility to customize their schedule. When it comes to improving employee engagement and wellbeing, this evolution creates a transformation from a classical managing approach to a more human relations managing approach.
