It hypothesizes that greater availability of high-quality counterfeits makes consumers willing to pay less for knockoffs than authentic products. A survey and price collection were conducted. Results found prices varied least at retail stores, with most bags over 500% more expensive than counterfeits. While authentic bags had higher quality, counterfeit owners were still satisfied due to lower prices providing good value.
