1.0 Introduction
The blow room is primary stage of spinning for producing smooth passage of raw
material, required for subsequent process. The effect of beater speed, grid bar setting
and cotton trash percentage upon Uni clean (B 11) has studied for quality
characteristics of cotton. For good fiber spinning requires efficient opening &
cleaning of raw material. The beating point of uniclean machine is depending upon
trash content in cotton. By keeping this view, to change various setting, Cleaning
Intensity & Relative Amount of Waste of cleaning machine which affects fiber
rupture, cleaning efficiency, good fiber loss percentage in waste and subsequent yarn
quality. For PM (51% PIMA: 49% MCU-5) mixing the setting shows reduce good
fiber loss is waste & increases performance of blow room with improves yarn quality
at same mixing.
The cotton textile industry contributes a highly significant position in the economy
of India. For todays rapidly advancing textile industry and quality conscious
international market, the comprehensive information about the characteristics of lint
cotton, which is the raw material of the industry, is a direct need for producing
quality goods at competitive costs by way of reducing wastage and improving
productivity level.
"Cotton" is raw material for the formation of yarn and fabric. In textile industry,
variety of cotton have purchased from different zone. These cotton properties like
Length, Strength, Fineness, Trash, Maturity etc. are different and depend on
difference in cotton cultivation. As cotton supplied to mills in the forms of bales and
process starts from blow room.
With the passage of time and with the advent of new technologies high-speed
machines were designed having more opening and cleaning efficiency. In the past a
typical blow room line for the cleaning of cotton consists of four to six and in some
cases even seven beating points. The underlying idea was to open and clean the
material slowly and gradually. But during the last decade, the trend has shifted to
minimize the number of machines in the blow room line. Now in modern cleaning
line only two to three beating points are available. This became possible only due to
the introduction of machines with higher degree of opening capabilities. Most of the
spinning mills in India are equipped with modern cleaning set-up in blow room.
2.0 Objectives
❖ To remove the metal particals
❖ To remove the dust ,nebs
❖ To individualize & parallelize the fibers.
❖ To straighten the fibers.
❖ To remove trash from fibers.
❖ To remove short fibers.

4.0 Working Principle
I. In the UNIclean B 12, double hooks pick up the material and mechanically
pass it over the cleaning grid five times. The raw material is then directed
across the integrated dedusting surfaces. The finest seed coat fragments
and dust are mechanically removed.
II. Cleaning is performed without nipping points and is therefore very gentle on
the fibers and also efficient.
III. The values for cleaning intensity and waste quantity are entered at the
machine operating unit. They can also be adjusted using the UNIcontrol
blowroom control, which controls the material flow and the settings of all
blowroom machinery. The new data is automatically applied by the machine
that is running. In VARIOset, the optimum parameters are assigned to each
assortment. This enables maximum fiber yield from the cotton. Three
different assortments can be processed. This is very convenient when lot
changes are frequent.
Effective cleaning process
❖ The optimum cross section of the grid bars, ideal material routing and
the large dedusting surface result in the cleaning of up to 1 400 kilograms of
material per hour. Cleaning is not disrupted by the influences of air.
❖ The removed trash drops into the waste chamber and is transferred to
the waste removal system by an airlock roller. The waste extraction process is
intermittent. Consequently, only approx. 0.5 m3/s of dust-laden air
accumulates. This reduces the energy requirement.
❖ As the B 12 requires little space, it can easily be incorporated into
existing systems. It also improves the cleaning performance of existing
systems.
❖ With the VARIOline blowroom line, the VARIOset function is
integrated into all cleaning machines. This function improves the flexibility
of the VARIOline. VARIOset controls the cleaning intensity and the waste
quantity. The degree of trash extraction can be adjusted quickly on the
machine display and the settings are reproducible. The machines are easily
adapted for the specific raw materials
5.0 Conclusion
The main objective of blow room is to separate good fibers from impurities like
dust, leaves, trash, seed coats and lint. The waste extracted is known as blow room
droppings. Good quality of yarn, fibers should be free from these impurities gor
spinning. Through UNIclean Machine , we can make sure to remove the
dust,trash,seed,leaves etc from the raw fiber . UNIclean is very important Machine
in the Blow room section to clan the fiber properly.Withour properly clean yarn,we
can not produce proper sliver ,That’s mean we can not produce better yarn .When
fibers have dust, trash etc ,the other machine of blow room section can not run
properly .So , UNIclean is the very important machine in the Blow room section

  • 2. 1.0 Introduction The blow room is primary stage of spinning for producing smooth passage of raw material, required for subsequent process. The effect of beater speed, grid bar setting and cotton trash percentage upon Uni clean (B 11) has studied for quality characteristics of cotton. For good fiber spinning requires efficient opening & cleaning of raw material. The beating point of uniclean machine is depending upon trash content in cotton. By keeping this view, to change various setting, Cleaning Intensity & Relative Amount of Waste of cleaning machine which affects fiber rupture, cleaning efficiency, good fiber loss percentage in waste and subsequent yarn quality. For PM (51% PIMA: 49% MCU-5) mixing the setting shows reduce good fiber loss is waste & increases performance of blow room with improves yarn quality at same mixing. The cotton textile industry contributes a highly significant position in the economy of India. For todays rapidly advancing textile industry and quality conscious international market, the comprehensive information about the characteristics of lint cotton, which is the raw material of the industry, is a direct need for producing quality goods at competitive costs by way of reducing wastage and improving productivity level. "Cotton" is raw material for the formation of yarn and fabric. In textile industry, variety of cotton have purchased from different zone. These cotton properties like Length, Strength, Fineness, Trash, Maturity etc. are different and depend on difference in cotton cultivation. As cotton supplied to mills in the forms of bales and process starts from blow room. With the passage of time and with the advent of new technologies high-speed machines were designed having more opening and cleaning efficiency. In the past a typical blow room line for the cleaning of cotton consists of four to six and in some cases even seven beating points. The underlying idea was to open and clean the material slowly and gradually. But during the last decade, the trend has shifted to minimize the number of machines in the blow room line. Now in modern cleaning line only two to three beating points are available. This became possible only due to the introduction of machines with higher degree of opening capabilities. Most of the spinning mills in India are equipped with modern cleaning set-up in blow room.

  • 4. 4.0 Working Principle I. In the UNIclean B 12, double hooks pick up the material and mechanically pass it over the cleaning grid five times. The raw material is then directed across the integrated dedusting surfaces. The finest seed coat fragments and dust are mechanically removed. II. Cleaning is performed without nipping points and is therefore very gentle on the fibers and also efficient. III. The values for cleaning intensity and waste quantity are entered at the machine operating unit. They can also be adjusted using the UNIcontrol blowroom control, which controls the material flow and the settings of all blowroom machinery. The new data is automatically applied by the machine that is running. In VARIOset, the optimum parameters are assigned to each assortment. This enables maximum fiber yield from the cotton. Three different assortments can be processed. This is very convenient when lot changes are frequent. Effective cleaning process ❖ The optimum cross section of the grid bars, ideal material routing and the large dedusting surface result in the cleaning of up to 1 400 kilograms of material per hour. Cleaning is not disrupted by the influences of air. ❖ The removed trash drops into the waste chamber and is transferred to the waste removal system by an airlock roller. The waste extraction process is intermittent. Consequently, only approx. 0.5 m3/s of dust-laden air accumulates. This reduces the energy requirement. ❖ As the B 12 requires little space, it can easily be incorporated into existing systems. It also improves the cleaning performance of existing systems. ❖ With the VARIOline blowroom line, the VARIOset function is integrated into all cleaning machines. This function improves the flexibility of the VARIOline. VARIOset controls the cleaning intensity and the waste quantity. The degree of trash extraction can be adjusted quickly on the machine display and the settings are reproducible. The machines are easily adapted for the specific raw materials
  • 5. 5.0 Conclusion The main objective of blow room is to separate good fibers from impurities like dust, leaves, trash, seed coats and lint. The waste extracted is known as blow room droppings. Good quality of yarn, fibers should be free from these impurities gor spinning. Through UNIclean Machine , we can make sure to remove the dust,trash,seed,leaves etc from the raw fiber . UNIclean is very important Machine in the Blow room section to clan the fiber properly.Withour properly clean yarn,we can not produce proper sliver ,That’s mean we can not produce better yarn .When fibers have dust, trash etc ,the other machine of blow room section can not run properly .So , UNIclean is the very important machine in the Blow room section
