Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– The advantages of working on Photoshop were that there was plenty of tools and
features to make your poster the way want want it to be. Also you can make it look like
whatever you want because of these tools. It was easier to make than on some other
programs and had an advantage of making it easier for people to find and place things
wherever they want. Making the poster on Photoshop was easy when you get used to
where everything is and how to use the tools properly.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– The disadvantages of Photoshop were that tools were hard to find. This is because so
many different tools do different things meaning that trying to find the correct tool is
hard, especially for somebody that hasn’t used Photoshop that much. This can also
waste time trying to find certain tools.
Graphic Design Production
The advert is very easy and simply designed. There isn’t that much to the poster, which makes it good in some cases.
This is a lot simpler than my own poster because there isn’t a slogan and has no social media icons that people can get information from.
I would say mine is better because of the colours used and looks different compared to the simplicity of the other. There is social media links as
well as a slogan that is easy to remember.
However my own poster is about Coca-Cola Life and the other is about the normal Coca-Cola. This could mean that the main product doesn’t
need that much information because it’s that well-known. And something else like Coca-Cola Life will need more information because it’s new
and people want to know about it.
There’s a completely different colour range between both posters.
Graphic Design Production
The strengths of this poster are that it’s
based off the color green because of
Coca-Cola Life. This makes it simple and
shows that it is the Life product of Coca-
Cola. Also another advantage / strength of
this poster would that the Coca-Cola logo
and slogans are similar colors, giving it the
same effect. The background however
was normal until I gave it an effect turning
it into a green background. This is good
because everything except the social
media icons are green.
The slogan gives you an idea of the
taste and how it keeps you refreshed
when needed.
The social media icons
show what Coca-Cola are
available on. They can
release photos, videos and
other information on these
social media pages. This
gives people a way to find
more information about
the company itself and look
at new upcoming events.
The only weaknesses
of this poster is that
there isn’t too much
to it and could have
something else
added to it.
The shadow behind
gives it just a slightly
better look than
before / without it.
Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– The advantages were that we got to record some of our own clips and then put them on the
computer to edit. This made our radio advert better because adding our own sounds and music
found on the internet makes it more complex and different. Making the radio advert was good
because we had an easy software to work with and all the tools were easy to find. Adding or own
clips and listening to them shows that the advert isn’t just sounds from other people, but we have
made them sounds. Having our own sounds also shows effort put into the radio advert, which we did
and was fun to do.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– However the disadvantages were that recording some of the clips was hard because me and the rest
of my group had to find an area where it was quite to record the sounds and voices. Also planning it
out was time-consuming, but that didn’t clash with making the actual radio advert.
Radio Production
My radio advert is better because is had more words and phrases added. This makes it easy to realise that its
Coca-Cola. Also my advert has my own sounds that my group went around college and recorded ourselves.
There’s a better tune to my own radio advert than the other. My radio advert is different to the others in the
group and don’t have exactly the same ones. This will show a variety of different ways using the sounds and
effects in the radio ad, used by other people in the group.
The other radio advert is just sounds recorded or stolen by someone and made into a little beat. The advert
also doesn’t have any words or phrases, which makes it unrecognisable. If you listened to that advert, you
wouldn’t recognize that it would be a Coca-Cola advert only if someone told you.
The similarities of both radio adverts were tat they both have a funky tune or beat towards it, making it easy to
remember. However the differences are that my radio ad has the company / product name and slogan,
therefore when people listen they will hopefully remember the advert slogan and from which company it’s
from.

Radio Production
• Strengths
The strengths of my radio advert are that it lasts a reasonable time and has features that make it easy to
remember. It has sounds that are recorded by myself and the rest of my group that have made slightly different
radio ads to each other. The radio ad doesn't have too much effects and sounds because we want it to be
simple.
• Weaknesses
The weaknesses of the radio advert were that if I have something to add to the radio advert we would have to
go out and record again some more sounds. Me and my group didn’t get enough sounds for the advert so we
used what we had.
• Changes
I wouldn’t really change anything about my radio advert, maybe just an extra few words / phrases to make it
better for the audience.
Me and my group used a software called Adobe Audition which made this radio advert and was useful and
good for making it as well.
Video Game Experiments
Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– The advantages of working on an advergame is that our own ideas are put together to make an
advergame. My advergame is about a Coca-Cola can that goes through certain levels to beat the boss
right at the end, Diet Coke. Coca-Cola wants to be superior over all Coke brands. Sounds weird, but
looks good from the game that I've made. Also making the game was really fun. Making all the
characters and frames was good and made it look like an actual game. Some of the tools were really
useful such as the pencil tool and transforming tool. These tools made my little advergame possible
and were fun to use.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– The disadvantages were that making the full advergame was time-consuming and that the layers
took time if they were made from scratch. Also at the start, finding the tools as difficult because I
didn't know which tools to use for the right situation and got confused for which ones to use.
However, I found all the tools I needed and used them to my advantage.
Video Game Production
The differences between both advergames is that my advergame doesn’t have a ‘start game’ and ‘options’ selections.
This makes my game go straight into the gameplay, however with the other advergame you can start the advergame
whenever you want. My advergame looks better from quality but my game is made on Photoshop in pixels.
The similarities between both advergames are that they both include a product as a character. So my advergame
includes a coke can and the other contains a 7Up bottle. The color range is also similar with the colors blue and green
standing out. Both advergames have a soft drink as their main character / object in the game.
Video Game Production
Strengths:
The strengths of my advergame are that it has a decent sized length to it. It lasts a reasonable amount of time. It
also has a coke can as the main character and an enemy. It has two stages and moves through them quite quickly.
My advergame has a decent background for the game and characters, but has no music through it.
Weaknesses:
The quality of the coke can rotating come be better. And also has no music in the background.
Changes that I would make:
The changes I would make would be the actual game and what it’s about. I would change the plot and game plan.
Comparison
• Which product do you believe advertises the product the best? Why?
The radio advert advertises the product the best because it has a slogan and music in the background. It’s also
easy to remember because there’s a beat to it that people will remember and hum to. The other two
projects don’t make people remember it or want to listen to it more. Radio adverts in my opinion are easy
to remember and are easier to remember than the posters and the advergame. The target audience is 8+
for both genders and all the projects are suitable for this age range. My audience would remember the
radio advert more than the advergame and posters because it will be played more over radio stations. It
will be played in transport vehicles and will be more popular. Hopefully audiences will prefer the radio ad
because in my opinion it is better and has better features added towards it. The radio advert shows more
of the product by saying the name and giving it a slogan. This makes the product to have a catchphrase to
add to it.
• Which of your products is the most professional? Why?
Out of all my advertising projects, the product that is the most professional is the radio advert. I think it has
more to it than the other projects. It has a relaxing, calm tune to it which makes it nice for the audience to
listen to. Also the radio advert has the product name (Coca-Cola) in it which people can guess from and
remember the ad. The radio ad is like a song which is better for my audience. The radio ad has more to it than
the posters and the advergame. The radio advert has more conventions in it’s category. For example radio
adverts are meant to contain slogans, product name and a beat to remember and my radio ad has all of those
conventions. However, with the other two projects they don’t have everything in that could have been
included. I think the audience will agree with my own opinion that the radio advert is the most professional
because it includes more conventions.
