What is computer network ?
A computer network is a set of computers
connected together for the purpose of sharing
resourcse .The most common resourcse shared
today is connected to the internet. The internet
itseltf can be considered a computer network.

2. Goals of computer network :
1) Resource Sharing : The main goal of the computer network is Resource
Sharing.One computer to another computer over a network.
2) Performance : By messuring the speed of data transmission with nunber of
users,connectivity and the software used.
3) Reliability : Make easy to use , for data communication in case of hardware
failure or connectivity issues.
4) Scalability : Increases the system performance by adding more processor.
5) Security : Is the main characteristics of computer network.
