Speed and simplicity
UBS Advanced Technology, is a
Integrated Building System (IBS)
Its the Eco friendly building
solution of the future that is
simple to install.
Housing construction projects
can be completed within days by
semi and even unskilled workers.
UBS system is designed to
provide permanent , green, High
Tech, energy efficient
accommodation at affordable
price.
“Build it once and build it right”
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
Step1
“Simple to follow, and easy to use IBS method of construction”
Stage (1) Foundation – Slab preparation
UBS uses a series of steel bars
we refer to as starter bars.
These bars are wired to the
Footings/Slab reinforcing steel
prior to the foundations
concrete being poured.
They are set out to line up
with the core holes within our
wall blocks using a template
system.
Starter bars protrude from
the footings/Slab
approximately 300mm above
slab height.
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
Wall blocks are positioned over
the starter bars and joined to
the foundation in a similar
method to laying bricks or
blocks using Mgo cement. Ste
 Reinforcing steel and
services such as electrical
conduits and water pipes are
run through core holes
within the wall block as each
level of blocks are installed.
 All Core holes are then filled
with concrete.
 This can be completed at
each block level or at plate
height.
 These core holes once filled
with concrete and steel reo
bar form the structural
skeleton of the building
Stage (2) Wall Construction
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
Stage (3) Joining wall blocks
Externally block are joined in a
similar fashion to laying bricks or
masonry blocks however Mgo
cement is used in place of
standard cement.
Internally within the wall block
they are joined together with steel
connection bars. inserted between
the structural core holes of each
block.
This procedure of connecting each
block ties not only the blocks
together, its also ties the internal
columns together (once concrete
has been poured into the core
holes) creating a concrete and
steel reinforced connection

 Detail showing block joints.
 Open to scrutiny by
Engineers or Architects.
 The system is far stronger
than conventional building
systems.
 It will withstand high winds
and earthquake better than
conventional construction
methods
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
 One level of this display building
was completed in 1 hour and 30
minutes by unskilled workers.
 The structure is a 4m x 4m room
with a 2m x 4m entry and a
additional 2m x 2m display wall .
 The area of wall built in that time
was the same as laying 2170
bricks and then applying render.
 It is easy to understand if one team
was putting the footings and slab
down, and another teams where
putting the buildings up, how fast
these buildings could be completed
Speed and Simplicity
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
Stage (4) Installation of windows and doors
UBS construction system can
accommodate both conventional
window and door frames as well as
utilizing its own specially designed
window and door system.
Core holes adjacent to window or door
frames have concrete and steel placed
in them to completely encase the frame
with concrete.
This forms concrete lintels and columns
around the frames to further
strengthen the structure.
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGADVANCED TECHNOLOGYY
Step 4:
A reinforced bond beam is formed
around the entire structure at plate
height.
 This ties all the core holes (internal
columns) together.
 It is also where the next
attachments are fitted to secure
the roof or second floor to the
structure.
 If engineers require, bond beams
can be formed easily at each 1
meter level of the building tying
the internal columns together at
every block join.
Stage (5) Bond Beam
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Step 5 :
 Second floor and roof systems
are also tied into the wall system
by using steel and concrete,
(fittings are concreted into the bond
beam formed around the entire wall
structure)
 UBS is a integrated form work
system (IBS) comprising
prefinished blocks and panels.
 Its internal core holes and
channels provide form work that
is the filled with concrete and
reinforcing steel to form the
structural skeleton of a building
Stage (6) second floor and roof systems
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
 UBS construction panel
can be used for ceilings
roofing, additional floors
and decking its fully
trafficable and can
support the weight of
workers with ease.
 Floor & roof panel
average weight is 57 –
60 kg making them easy
to handle and install.
(heavy lifting machinery is
not required)
Construction Panels
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
 Construction panels are
internally reinforced
with steel tubes and
externally reinforced
with fiberglass mesh
and our special MgO
coating covering both
sides of the panel.
 Steel tubs are used to
tie the panels into the
structure – run
electrical cables
through
Construction Panels
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
 Each block covers the same
area in a building as 232
Vietnamese bricks laid
within a double wall
thickness and then
rendered.
 A block takes about 4
minutes install.
 Before the concrete and
steel is added to each block
its weight is only 35kg
making them extremely
light and easy to handle.
Wall Blocks
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Panels and blocks are coated with a special MgO
mixture that is:
 Fire Proof
 Water Resistant
 High impact resistant (2 – 3 times
 stronger than cement or concrete)
 Green – environmentally friendly safe coating
 Mold Resistant .
 If damaged it is easy to repair.
 Extra high thermal qualities (providing
insulation against hot and cold weather)
 Ideal sound barrier
TechnologyAdvantages
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
In addition to the many benefits
this building system delivers,
the coating that's applied to the
EPS panels has been,
1) Fiberglass mesh
reinforced (this preventing
any cracking of the walls
and ceiling coatings)
2) The EPS is specially
prepared prior to coating
(to minimize the chance
of delamination)
3) Which means a lot less
maintenance to our
building structures in the
future
TechnologyAdvantages
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
 This section of display wall
block has had one side of a
block cut away to show why
our construction method is
second to none.
 Walls are tied into the sub-
structure of a building by steel
reinforcing bars and concrete
the entire structure is then
tied together by a series of
columns' which are then
connected by a bond beam
surrounding the entire
building.
 Within the bond beam steel
fittings are used to attach the
second floor or roofing
system.
Structural stability
“ A completely encased building structure providing structural stability and strength”
UBSUBS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
 Our display has been fitted
with a small air-conditioning
unit so we can demonstrate
the thermal qualities of our
system. (Cooling & heating
savings due to minimal
energy loss)
 This building system can be
applied to suit all
requirements.
 With benefits far beyond
