A REAL-TIME H.264/AVC ENCODER&DECODER WITH VERTICAL MODE FOR INTRA FRAME AND ...csandit
The video coding standards are being developed to satisfy the requirements of applications for
various purposes, better picture quality, higher coding efficiency, and more error robustness.
The new international video coding standard H.264 /AVC aims at having significant
improvements in coding efficiency, and error robustness in comparison with the previous
standards such as MPEG-2, H261, H263,and H264. Video stream needs to be processed from
several steps in order to encode and decode the video such that it is compressed efficiently with
available limited resources of hardware and software. All advantages and disadvantages of
available algorithms should be known to implement a codec to accomplish final requirement.
The purpose of this project is to implement all basic building blocks of H.264 video encoder and
decoder. The significance of the project is the inclusion of all components required to encode
and decode a video in MatLab .
The surveillance systems are expected to record the videos in 24/7 and obviously it requires a huge storage space. Even though the hard disks are cheaper today, the number of CCTV cameras is also vertically increasing in order to boost up security. The video compression techniques is the only better option to reduce required the storage space; however, the existing video compression techniques are not adequate at all for the modern digital surveillance system monitoring as they require huge video streams. In this paper, a novel video compression technique is presented with a critical analysis of the experimental results.

HARDWARE SOFTWARE CO-SIMULATION OF MOTION ESTIMATION IN H.264 ENCODERcscpconf
This paper proposes about motion estimation in H.264/AVC encoder. Compared with standards
such as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 Visual, H.264 can deliver better image quality at the same
compressed bit rate or at a lower bit rate. The increase in compression efficiency comes at the
expense of increase in complexity, which is a fact that must be overcome. An efficient Co-design
methodology is required, where the encoder software application is highly optimized and
structured in a very modular and efficient manner, so as to allow its most complex and time
consuming operations to be offloaded to dedicated hardware accelerators. The Motion
Estimation algorithm is the most computationally intensive part of the encoder which is simulated using MATLAB. The hardware/software co-simulation is done using system generator tool and implemented using Xilinx FPGA Spartan 3E for different scanning methods.

Global interconnect planning becomes a challenge as semiconductor technology continuously scales. Because of the increasing wire resistance and higher capacitive coupling in smaller features, the delay of global interconnects becomes large compared with the delay of a logic gate, introducing a huge performance gap that needs to be resolved A novel equalized global link architecture and driver– receiver co design flow are proposed for high-speed and low-energy on-chip communication by utilizing a continuous-time linear equalizer (CTLE). The proposed global link is analyzed using a linear system method, and the formula of CTLE eye opening is derived to provide high-level design guidelines and insights.
Compared with the separate driver–receiver design flow, over 50% energy reduction is observed.

Now a days there is use of digital multimedia applications are increased. Digital image watermarking techniques can be classified into spatial or transform domains. The spatial domain methods are the simplest watermarking techniques but have low robustness against different attacks, unlike the transform domains watermarking methods are more complex and have high robustness against various attacks. Most commonly used methods of watermarking are discrete cosine transform (DCT), discrete wavelet transform (DWT).A hybrid digital video watermarking scheme based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). These transform domain technique always give more robust output than DCT and DWT The video frames are first decomposed using DWT and the binary watermark is embedded in the principal components of the low frequency wavelet coefficients Here in order to improve the robustness of water mark Haar filtering must be used in order to get PSNR as much as possible Experimental result shows no visible difference between the watermarked frames and original frame. It shows robustness on the watermarked video against various attacks. Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) is calculated to measure efficiency of this all methods. And this value must be increased up to the level.

FPGA based Efficient Interpolator design using DALUT Algorithmcscpconf
Interpolator is an important sampling device used for multirate filtering to provide signal processing in wireless communication system. There are many applications in which sampling rate must be changed. Interpolators and decimators are utilized to increase or decrease the sampling rate. In this paper an efficient method has been presented to implement high speed and area efficient interpolator for wireless communication systems. A multiplier less technique is used which substitutes multiplyand-accumulate operations with look up table (LUT) accesses. Interpolator has been implemented using Partitioned distributed arithmetic look up table (DALUT) technique. This technique has been used to take an optimal advantage of embedded LUTs of the target FPGA. This method is useful to enhance the system performance in terms of speed and area. The proposed interpolator has been designed using half band poly phase FIR structure with Matlab, simulated with ISE, synthesized with Xilinx Synthesis Tools (XST) and implemented on Spartan-3E and Virtex2pro device. The proposed LUT based multiplier less approach has shown a maximum operating frequency of 92.859 MHz with Virtex Pro and 61.6 MHz with Spartan 3E by consuming considerably less resources to provide cost effective solution for wireless communication systems.

Unauthorised redistribution and illegal copying of digital contents are serious issues which have affected numerous types of digital contents such as digital video. One of the methods which have been suggested to support copyright protectionis to hide digital watermark within the digital video. This paper introduces a new video watermarking system which based on a combination of Arnold transform and integer wavelet transforms (IWT). IWT is employed to decompose the cover video frames whereby Arnold transform is used to scramble the watermark which is a grey scale image. Scrambling the watermark before the concealment makes the transmission more secure by disordering the information. The system performance was benchmarked against related video watermarking schemes, in which the evaluation processes consist of testing against several video operations and attacks. Consequently, the scheme has been demonstrated to be perfectly robust.
Motion Vector Recovery for Real-time H.264 Video StreamsIDES Editor
Among the various network protocols that can be
used to stream the video data, RTP over UDP is the best to do
with real time streaming in H.264 based video streams. Videos
transmitted over a communication channel are highly prone
to errors; it can become critical when UDP is used. In such
cases real time error concealment becomes an important
aspect. A subclass of the error concealment is the motion
vector recovery which is used to conceal errors at the decoder
side. Lagrange Interpolation is the fastest and a popular
technique for the motion vector recovery. This paper proposes
a new system architecture which enables the RTP-UDP based
real time video streaming as well as the Lagrange
interpolation based real time motion vector recovery in H.264
coded video streams. A completely open source H.264 video
codec called FFmpeg is chosen to implement the proposed
system. Proposed implementation was tested against the
different standard benchmark video sequences and the
quality of the recovered videos was measured at the decoder
side using various quality measurement metrics.
Experimental results show that the real time motion vector
recovery does not introduce any noticeable difference or
latency during display of the recovered video.

Video Compression Algorithm Based on Frame Difference Approaches ijsc
The huge usage of digital multimedia via communications, wireless communications, Internet, Intranet and cellular mobile leads to incurable growth of data flow through these Media. The researchers go deep in developing efficient techniques in these fields such as compression of data, image and video. Recently, video compression techniques and their applications in many areas (educational, agriculture, medical …) cause this field to be one of the most interested fields. Wavelet transform is an efficient method that can be used to perform an efficient compression technique. This work deals with the developing of an efficient video compression approach based on frames difference approaches that concentrated on the calculation of frame near distance (difference between frames). The
selection of the meaningful frame depends on many factors such as compression performance, frame details, frame size and near distance between frames. Three different approaches are applied for removing the lowest frame difference. In this paper, many videos are tested to insure the efficiency of this technique, in addition a good performance results has been obtained.
The latest video compression standard, H.264 (also known as MPEG-4 Part 10/AVC for Advanced Video
Coding), is expected to become the video standard of choice in the coming years.
H.264 is an open, licensed standard that supports the most efficient video compression techniques available
today. Without compromising image quality, an H.264 encoder can reduce the size of a digital video file by
more than 80% compared with the Motion JPEG format and as much as 50% more than with the MPEG-4
Part 2 standard. This means that much less network bandwidth and storage space are required for a video
file. Or seen another way, much higher video quality can be achieved for a given bit rate.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
