Manufacturing Output Rises in the Us
An economic revival is here according to an article in The Atlantic titled America s Coming
Manufacturing Revolution . In the author s own words, The combination of lower energy prices,
innovative information technologies, and advances in robotics and materials science are powering a
manufacturing revolution that will reinvigorate the U.S. economy, (Naím, Apr. 21, 2014). Bold words
considering the recent financial crisis and drama in the geopolitical arena, but is there enough
evidence to back his claims of this so called manufacturing revolution ? Several news outlets are
reporting gains in manufacturing operations such as increases in labor and use of factory space. Using
this information, I hope to describe the elements used to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Federal Reserve Bank assessed potential being used at factories, mines and utilities in the U.S.
reached 79.2 percent in March . Comparatively, the national average from 1980 until now is 79.4
percent (Chandra, Apr. 20, 2014). According to an article in Reuters, this is the highest capacity
utilization since June 2008. (Nawaguna, Apr. 16, 2014) Incidentally, as resources are used more
efficiently, manufacturing output will increase. Higher labor costs and allocation of factory space are
excellent indications that manufacturing output has indeed gone up within the United States. However,
I would not consider it a revolution by any means because most of the data suggests this is only a
gradual upward trend and hasn t changed any aspects of business. Although, if this upward trend
continues, we can expect more job openings, greater use of factory space, and more made in the US
products floating up around the markets of the world. Luckily, accountants aren t paid to forecast so
my essay ends here.

Intelligent Design In Public Schools Research Paper
Teaching Intelligent Design in Public Schools
What is the difference between belief and ethics? Where is the line drawn between faith and law? This
is the debate fought by creationists and those who recognize evolution as true. The argument has been
thrown back and forth for years. But, the real question is, should intelligent design be taught in public
schools? In America, creationists believe that the world was created by a god, the majority of which is
made up of Christians, are usually the the people that believe in intelligent design. This Christian
theory states that all life on earth, and the earth itself, was created by an intelligent designer or god in
their present form. There are variations in belief including Young Earth Theory, ... Show more content

The opposition to this theory comes in part from those whose religious beliefs are contradicted by it,
those who claim that evolution is just a theory, and claim it is not a sound science because of the label.
To understand that evolution is true and reliable, the definition of the word theory in a scientific
context must first be understood. In Richard Dawkins The Greatest Show on Earth, this is explained,
The Oxford English Dictionary gives two meanings... Theory, Sense 1:... a hypothesis that has been
confirmed or established by observation or experiment, and is propounded or accepted as accounting
for the known facts... Theory, Sense 2: A hypothesis proposed as an explanation: hence, a mere
hypothesis, speculation, conjecture... It is proposed in this book that scientists and creationists are
using these definitions in different contexts. Creationists use the second sense of the word theory,
meaning a speculation of no value, and scientists use it in sense one, that of a proven hypothesis. In
science the word theory is surpassed only by the word law in the sense of conveying certainty. In
science, a theory is a hypothesis that has never been disproven, such as the theory of gravity.
Evolution has been proven many times over through both observation and experiment, which is the
reason it is taught in public schools. Though it has uncountable examples, only a fraction will be
mentioned. Transitional fossils are one of the major concerns on the part of creationists. They use gaps
in the fossils record to argue its unreliability. Transitional fossils are the species that lie in between the
transition from one species to its ancestor or descendant. When these fossils are missing, it can seem
far fetched for a whale to develop from a land dwelling dog like animal, but when the fossils in
between these two species are discovered, the transition becomes clearer. Though

Research Paper On Wigs
History shows Egyptians wearing wigs, but those of means had human hair sewn into their own hair.
Powdered wigs graced royal heads during the (), and the elaborate hairstyles of the Victorian,
Edwardian and the Gilded Age were artistic creations that were impossible without hair pieces. For
every era there are elaborate techniques for adding hair where needed or desired and as styles repeat
themselves, ancient hair weaving techniques have returned as today s hair extensions. Millions of
women will spend time and money on chemical curls, permanent relaxers and dyes to hide age or
draw attention. While these maneuvers change the hair s appearance, they do not change the one thing
that many men watch for, the length.
Wigs give their wearers immediate gratification, but wig caps can be drying, inexpensive synthetic
wigs can look unnatural, and human hair wigs can be too expensive. Add the wear and tear of having a
wig s cap rubbing against the hair and length gained through patience can be lost to breakage. When
modern women consider temporary length, hair extensions are often the answer. However, choosing
high quality, human hair extensions means understanding human hair itself. Each strand of hair is
made three layers of a protein called Keratin. The medulla is the innermost layer or the core of a
strand. The cortex is the next layer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once this happens, it never returns to its virgin condition. Remy Hair, also called, Cuticle Hair, is
gathered from donors who have never used chemical processes to alter their hair s structure. To ensure
consistency, each hair tangle free bundle is collected from a single donor, then sorted so that all
cuticles flow in the same direction. Having each strand arranged like natural hair eases styling and
makes uniform dying possible. Cuticles flowing in opposite directions will lead to frizzing and may

The Current Standing Of The U.s. Economy
Tracking the U.S Economy
Jessica Findish
Jacksonville University
Executive Summary In this paper, you will read about the current standing of the U.S. economy as of
spring and summer for 2015. Gross Domestic Product (GDP), unemployment rate, inflation rate,
foreign trade, consumer spending, business investment, and government spending will all be analyzed.
This analysis will then lead to the projection of the U.S. economy for the first two quarters of 2016.
U.S. Economy: Spring and Summer 2015
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) The Bureau of Economic Analysis showed output in the U.S.
increasing at a rate of 2.3% for the second quarter of 2015 (Sharf, 2015). This is a 1.7% increase from
the first quarter when real GDP increased 0.6% (Sharf, 2015). Current dollar GDP decreased 0.2
percent, which is the equivalent of $10.4 billion, in the first quarter of 2015 to $17,693.3 billion
(News Release: Gross Domestic Product). The B.E.A. also reports (GDP 2015) that personal
consumption has doubled within the first two quarters of 2015 from 1.8% to 3.6%, suggesting that
consumer income has also increased alongside GDP.
Unemployment Rate
According to the BLS (Labor Force Statistics...), the unemployment rate has decreased in 2015.
According to Graph 1, only May 2015 saw an increase in the unemployment rate of 0.1%, which then
fell by 0.2% by June 2015. From January 2015 to September 2015, the unemployment rate has
decreased by 0.6%. One could argue that employers are afraid to hire

Party Systems in Latin America Essay
Party Systems in Latin America
This essay will compare and contrast the party systems of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay according to
Mainwaring and Shugart s Chapter 11 of Presidentialism and Democracy in Latin America. First, I
will discuss majority verses minority government; second, I will discuss the number of relevant
parties; third, I will discuss the level of party discipline with the parties.
In Presidential systems of government, the level of support for the president in congress, either
through a majority or coalitions, influences the success of the regime to get things done. The amount
of parties in a system indicates the likelihood the president will have a majority or be forced to focus
on forming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The President has strong proactive powers to counter this weakness.
In Uruguay, the President has historically been supported by a substantial amount of congress
rendering coalitions unnecessary. According to tale 11.1in Mainwaring and Shugart, the president in
Uruguay has had an average of 45.6% of the seats in the Lower House and 43.8% of the seats in the
upper house. This congressional composition is an ideal amount of support because it allows checks
and balances to work; yet, the president can successfully implement a program. The last election in
Uruguay did not yield this traditional composition. No party received a significant majority. The votes
were split three ways between the Blanco, the Colorado, and the EP (Progressive Encounter). Whether
or not this significant plurality trend will continue is unclear. The president of Argentina has usually
enjoyed a significant amount of support in congress from his/her own party and coalitions.
Mainwaring and Shugart s table11.1 shows Argentina President to have an average support of 48.3%
in the Lower House and 52% in the upper house. Including coalition partners 49% in the Lower House
and 52.0% in the upper house supports the president. This kind of congressional composition has the
ability to inhibit checks and balance by a minority party. This is the extreme of winner take all politics,
majority politics. In the last presidential

Factors And Impacts Of The French And Indian War

future of America resulted in Great Britain controlling eastern North America. Many events led up to
the French and Indian War. Colonists thought themselves as English subjects and had good relations

Airbus operates in this industry by building airplanes with seating capacities ranging from 100 to 350
seats. Over the past few years, Airbus has been extremely successful developing airplanes in this size
range, increasing its industry market share to approximately 33%. However, quantifying Airbus past
financial success is difficult because prior to its 1999 1.6 billion euro IPO, Airbus was a private
partnership. As a result, very little past financial information is available.
The following analysis identifies the major strategic issues of Airbus and its industry, provides
alternatives and a recommendation of the most optimal solution, and details a plan of implementation
for the company.
Industry Analysis
The following analysis discusses the suppliers, buyers, industry competition, threats to entry, and
substitutes that exist within the large commercial aircraft industry. Additionally, the analysis identifies
the pressure that each of these groups applies on the industry and estimates the impact this pressure
has on potential industry profits. Each group is identified using a high, medium, or low pressure
classification. A high pressure classification indicates the group reduces industry profit potential and
vice versa. Given the high tech nature of the airplane industry, there are relatively few suppliers
capable of providing parts to Airbus and Boeing. In contrast to Boeing, who relies heavily on
suppliers, Airbus has tried to manufacture the

The text, Bothered and Bewildered by Katha Pollitt started from the statistical data about unwed
mothers and developed to the discussion of marriage and social discrimination between male and
female.
The author mentions the percentage who have become mothers without marrying has more than
doubled in the last decade, and public criticize the Feminism, promiscuity, the media, the 60 s for this
increase. However, the author asks us to consider if marriage no longer serves woman very well.
Historically, women wed men to gain money and stable social status, yet in the 1990s , during which
this article was wrote, women are getting the right to earn money themselves, thus they are able to be
independence from men. Furthermore, by revealing the feeble purpose beneath the discussion about
unwed mother by the public, asking woman to self sacrifice, the author shows us that the best method
in helping unwed mothers is treat two sexes equally so that they will both have the ability to be
independence. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

many men, who used to be labor in economic, were sent to the battlefield and this lack of labor in

Motivation, Motivation And Intrinsic Motivation
With highly developed science nowadays, people still not quite understand how we motivate, and
what actually support us to attain our dream in daily life. Although huge numbers of scientists keep
researching on how motivation works in our brain, we cannot make a conclusion about the truth of the
motivation in the past century. Luckily, Daniel Pink announces his latest results, The Puzzle of
Motivation , on TED in 2009, which gives us a brand new idea about our motivation and how we
could improve us by learning his method. In this essay, I will illustrates the main point of Daniel Pink,
the evidence given in his speech, also the benefits I get from his idea which increase my self
motivation and helps me improve my study experience. According to The Puzzle of Motivation , the
speech given by Daniel Pink (2009) on TED, Pink demonstrates idea that our motivation has many
different methods, which well known as extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation. But it also
could have even more complex motivation methods, such as extrinsic and intrinsic combined
motivation, depends on different tasks. Reward could give us positive motivation and improve us
work efficiency, however, it is limited on easy job, and people given a clearly direction on how to
complete the mission. For creative and complex task, rewards can narrow our views, or even harm.

Through religion and dance, they were able to release themselves to their gods and at the same time
engage in a form of passive resistance. At the forefront of all this was enslaved women, who passed
down and kept alive a disproportionate amount of the cultural heritage of Africa that survived in
slavery. They did so through their roles as mothers and healers, daughters and workers. They were, in
short, strong women who felt it is their duty to uphold traditional values.
In many African cultures, women were honoured and this attitude towards them did not change within
the Caribbean. Many of the religious rites and rituals took on an altered form in the Caribbean, but the
role of women was constant. The proof is in the legacy that has been left behind. The same customs
that enslaved Africans brought with them are still present today. For instance, women have handed
down lessons through the art of storytelling, an art which they have maintained. Their stories tell of
ancient people in ancient times but the morals are relevant even today, as are told in the Haitian
folktale Ti Malice or the Jamaican folktales of Anansi. Another part of life still present today is the art

Firstly we must understand that people have different body types and shapes, we are not created
differently in order for others to categorize us into something. We must stand up to those who keeps
on pinning us down, don t let anyone stop you from doing what you want. In 2012, Jennifer
Livingston, a local news anchor in Wisconsin, received a fat shaming email from a viewer. She then
said that there are children who don t know better. Who get emails as critical as the one I received, or
in many cases, even worse, each and every day. She said in her last statement that is dedicated to
everyone. Those who are lost and struggling with their weight, color of the skin, sexual preference,
disabilities and even the acnes on their faces that they should not let bullies define their self worth.
Stand up if you know you are right and didn t do anything wrong. In order to completely stop body
shaming everyone or the people in the society must motivate, support and encourage one another. Just
like what happened to Sean Dancing Man O Brien, he was bullied in social media for dancing in

12 Angry Men Character Analysis Essay

certain level, the jurors are all connected to each other in one way or another. That would be the
strength of the justice system. It brings people together that no one would have ever thought were
compatible to work with each other.
Juror 10 has a very specific personality that can be described in many ways. His character traits are

Digital Pedagogy Essay
Currently we live in an era driven by information, global competition and new technologies that are
changing the way we think, live and work. (Pillay, Boulton Lewis Wilss 2004, p.17). This conveys the
notion that technology has manipulated the minds of today s generation in every way possible, could
be during schooling and non schooling life. Hence in order for one s teaching style to go successful
one should teach in accordance to the characteristics of the generation they re teaching as today s
generation requires a digital pedagogy. Furthermore this essay scrutinizes how the characteristics of
the 21st century and the digital world will influence the type of teacher one hopes to become. As well
as it examines on the construction of skill development towards students from the trending of digital
fluency.
Technology today is the fundamental enhancement of teaching and education towards students
including collaborative learning. Many educators would approve that a vigorous display of student
triumph is the students ability to advance both skills and an interest in durable education. A teacher s
style of teaching regarding educational experience and environment could have a vast effect on their
student s education. However technology has emerged as the foundation regarding stronger education,
therefore numerous students going to college or university have already possessed progressive skills

Tax Assessment And Its Effects On Today s Taxation Policy...
Tax assessment has always been a hotly debated issue in economic. We all know that it costs a lot to
run a household. In the same sense, it costs a lot of money for a government to run a country. This is
why taxation is necessary. Through taxation, a government can compensate their spending and fund
the social services that benefit most of the society. High tax can compensate the government spending
while may curb investment. A question always being raised is that how to impose an appropriate and
efficient tax without harming our economy and what subjects are best to be taxed. We can find the
answer from the analyses on different approaches to taxation by Adam Smith and David Ricardo
throwback a century ago. Their analyses still have a far reaching impact on today s taxation policy.
Adam Smith discusses different strategies for levying a tax in his book Wealth of Nations . Smith calls
attention to that the state can raise money through five different channels: taxes on the rent of land,
taxes upon the rent of the house, taxes upon profit, taxes upon the wages of labour and taxes upon
consumable commodities. One way for Smith to evaluate those five different taxation channels is that
whether they satisfy the four basic maxims for taxation he made. For a tax to be considered good and
efficient, it needs to meet the following four basic principles raised by Smith:
I. The subjects of every state outhg to contribute towards the support of the government, as

Rise of the American Criminal Industry between 1900-1940
1900 A rise in crime levels as gangs grow stronger. Monk Eastman s Gang starts to pose a real threat
to Paul Kelly s Five Points Gang.
1907 Michael Cassius McDonald dies and leaves a criminal industry in Chicago in the hands of
opportunist gangsters coming in from all over the country.
1911 Mayer Lansky arrives in the U.S. and immediately starts to analyze conditions in the country
with regard to Italian crime families with the purpose of getting involved in their affairs.
1919 Al Capone leaves New York with the purpose of starting illegal businesses in Chicago. Luciano s
influence also solidified at this time, as the Volstead Act provided him with the perfect opportunity to
start an illegal business.
1920 Prohibition started in the U.S. and provided crime families with the opportunity to get involved
in particularly profitable affairs. John Colosimo, one of the most important gangsters in the U.S. is
killed the same year, most probably because of his reluctance to get involved in alcohol trafficking.
His death makes it possible for people to understand the full complexity of illegal affairs in the
country as numerous other gangsters and even politicians attend his funeral.
1921 Johnny Torrio, Chicago s crime boss, brings in Capone as his bodyguard.
1924 Torrio manages to set the foundation of one of the most successful bootlegging businesses in the
country. The Italian American gangster also manages to invest large amounts of money into gambling

Image Fusion Technique Based on PCA and Fuzzy Logic Part 2...
mage fusion based on fuzzy sets
The fuzzy logic approach is widely used in image process ing. The fuzzy logic gives decision rules
and fusion motivation for image fusion [17]. the two inputs images are converted into membership
values based on a set of predefined MFs, where the degree of membership of each input pixel to a
fuzzy set is determined. Then, the fusion operators are applied to the fuzzified images. The fusion
results are then converted back into pixel values using defuzzification.

To An Athlete Dying Young
It is known for a fact that the clutches of death are inescapable and permanent, however death may
sometimes fall short when it comes to the life of an idea or memory as these can live on forever. In A.
E. Housman s poem To an Athlete Dying Young , it is the memory of a brilliant athlete that will be
lauded for many generations to come. A. E. Housman achieves the somber and reverent memory of
the young athlete, who had met their untimely demise, by the use of strong characterization, poetic
devices, and themes.
Characterization in this poem truly helps the reader understand what the town had lost and how the
townspeople, including the speaker, feel about the young athlete s passing. In relation to the athlete,
the speaker is one who has had some first hand experience watching the athlete perform and even
celebrating the athlete as Housman writes, We chaired you through the market place (l.2). The reader
is also able to see the speaker as a sympathetic and realistic character. The speaker s sympathy is best
seen at the mention of bringing the young athlete to their final resting place. The realistic nature of the
speaker is seen throughout the poem, especially when Housman wrote, smart lad to slip betimes away

October Sky Analysis
October Sky
The enlightening and inspirational true story of Homer Hickam in October Sky directed by Joe
Johnston reminds us all to aim for our goals and never give up, even while battling difficulty.
However, Homer was struggling for a great deal in his pursuit of rocketry, he was even struggling for
his life. Born in a coal mining town, son of a foreman, Homer seemed destined to work the mine when
he grew up. But in October Sky, Homer has to overcome what the mine represents: isolation and
darkness. Mining coal isolates many of the characters from each other throughout the storyline. The
main antagonist, Homer s father, John, frequently seems distant from his own family because of
emergencies and accidents inside the mine that demand his utmost attention. Even Homer s mother,
Elsie, threatens to leave him if he doesn t become more attentive to their son s interest in rocketry.
Homer decides to drop out of high school and become a miner to provide for his family after John is

The Department And The City Council
In 2015, the department and the city council did a survey to see if the department had enough
personnel. The study looked at many things such as the amount of calls for service, a number of
officers working each shift, and the schedule the officers were working. In reality, the survey was a
gamble for the department because it could come back in a positive way, finding that we should hire
more officers. Another outcome would be that we were overstaffed meaning we would lose positions.
The final outcome could be that we were adequately staffed and nothing should change. After several
months, the study determined that we had enough personnel, but the officers were working a ten hour
shift that was consuming too many officers. The study recommended that the department goes to
either an eight or ten hour shift. The department took the survey s recommendations and changed all
officers to an eight hour shift. This was very unpopular with the officers and the chief took an
enormous hit on this, but he knew he was doing the best thing for the department. I think we all knew
that the ten hour shifts were not necessarily the most productive shift for the department and it was
really only being allowed to keep morale up. After working with the legislature, the department was
able to change the state s labor law allowing the work week to be considered over two weeks. By
doing this, the officers could work more than 40 hours one week and less than 40 hours the next as

Trauma In Forensic Pathological Analysis
Introduction
When a person dies, the natural forces of decomposition cause for the soft tissue to breakdown and
ultimately disappear over time. If enough time has gone by, any soft tissue evidence present at the
time of death will also have disappeared. Once this has occurred, it is up to forensic anthropologists to
analyze the skeletal remains for evidence of trauma in order to help the forensic pathologist assign a
cause and manner of death to this individual. The task is complicated by the similarities between
antemortem and perimortem injuries, the presence of skeletal anomalies, as well as the postmortem
changes that can occur when skeletal remains are exposed to the elements of nature.
Although procedures and protocols have been established ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nakhaeizadeh et al. studied the power of contextual effects in producing bias in interpretations of
trauma on skeletal remains. Ninety nine forensic anthropologists were randomly assigned to three
different websites, all of which contained the very same fourteen images of bones that contained
known trauma, pseudo trauma, anomalies, and taphonomical process characteristics. However, one
website included contextual information with the images, reporting that they were from a mass grave.
The second website reported that the bones in the images came from an archaeological dig in an area
with a known low level of trauma. Finally, the third website was a control and contained no contextual
information. The participants were asked to assign levels of trauma to each picture, with varying
options available. The results concluded that there were significantly higher recordings of trauma in
the bones affiliated with the mass grave than the exact same pictures of bones from the other two
websites (Nakhaeizadeh et al.,

special attention to why they have or have not evolved to resemble each other. In regards to one of the
highest orders of education and one of the most vastly important studies worldwide, medical training
has become more globally uniform. Our goal is to have our top doctors and researchers trained in a

The late 1900s brought about a great deal of change for China in terms of basic education. In 1978, a
policy of globalization took effect, and the Peoples Republic of China began to interact with the world
much more than in its previous years. Subsequently, in 1985, the Decision on the Reform of
educational structure was mandated by the Communist Party. This placed the responsibility of
education on local governments. A year later, the Compulsory Education Law of the People s Republic
of China was passed, making basic education a legal requirement of citizens. Throughout the 1990s,
more laws were passed that further refined education, detailing the requirements for quality socialistic
educations, and promoting science and technology as vital elements. The result of this reform was a
tremendous increase in kindergartens, primary, junior and senior secondary schools. Enrollment rates
at primary and junior secondary schools were 98.58% and 90% respectively. Employed full time
teachers were nearly 5.8 million in 2002 (4). These details show that a thoroughly educated Chinese
culture is still young, and without a doubt these developments affect the practice of the medical
professional.

in tradition and culture. The U.S. culture is a quickly morphing, dynamic culture that promotes

Developments and Possiblilities of Solar Power
Solar power has been around for many years. The very first silicon based photovoltaic was invented
by Bell Labs back in 1954. At this time the cost per watt was high at $285 and in 2009 it dropped to a
mere $3.00 per watt (Solar Tech USA, 2014). Solar energy dates back as far as the 2nd century with
the Greeks and Romans starting fires through broken glass. Indirect benefits from solar have been
used way back to even photosynthesis (Bengtson, 2012). Passive solar energy was used to heat
building by using the design to capture the sun for heating and lighting. Moving into the 20th century
major changes have accrued and there is now concentrating solar power technologies for centralized
solar thermal plants (Bengtson, 2012). The public believes that solar is not yet ready to take charge
and become a major source of power, yet some experts disagree. Solar power in the 21st century has
magnified many possibilities for solar use. Photovoltaic has created a large economic benefit by
reducing the cost of other resources as well as its own for example solar heated water heaters have cut
the cost of gas and electricity (Bengtson, 2012). Germany is a great example of how solar is in huge
demand and working well to serve the consumers. Germany has 5 times the solar power the United
States is currently using although Germany does not get a great deal of sun (Brad Plumer, 2013).

The Technique Of Energy Harvesting From Radio Signals
1. Introduction:
The technique of energy harvesting from radio signals has received much attention in various
applications in the recent time, such as radio frequency identification systems [1] and body sensor
networks with medical implants [2]. According to the 2010 wireless smart phone customer satisfaction
study from J. D. Power and Associates, the iPhone received top marks in every category except for
battery life. The latest report in China also reflects the same problem. Based on the data, up to 60% of
the users complained that battery endurance was the greatest hurdle when using 3G services. (Daquan

A Reflection Without Respect
Society simply cannot function without respect. Respect is defined as the admiration or appreciation
of someone. If no one had respect for one another, there would be chaos. There would be no
appreciation of other people. This would cause an outrage among the society because people would
have no manners and think they can get away with saying or doing whatever they want to someone
else. Then, when someone gets their feelings hurt, they would fight back, and this cycle would
continue. This could cause national debacles because no one would feel like an important part of
society. For example, if teachers were not respected by students and were yelled at everyday, would
they want to continue working under these conditions? This can also go all the way up into the
government. The president not respecting his country would cause citizens to feel hatred against the
leader and could cause outbursts. Not having respect could be as simple as shoving into someone and
not saying sorry, or all the way up to violent protests. This means that a lack of respect could cause a
boatload of problems in the world.
A society without respect would be full of ignorance and selfishness. People would start to believe that
showing respect for another person is a sign of weakness, when in reality it shows strong values. A
self actualized person would realize that being respectful is a necessary trait to have. A big part of
respect that seems to get lost is self respect. This is almost the most

The Tragedy And Joy Of Writing
The Tragedy and Joy of Writing We must all go through the experience of writing. Writing
experiences are harmful and tragic, while others offer a sense of joy and pride. Some writing
experiences are viewed as a formulated acquired skill and others as a beautiful and eloquent form of
art. The process of our perception into what we write and convey is confounding because each person
perceives it differently that the next. Writing for me is often a tedious and strenuous task, but I have
found a way to verbally express my emotions, but I have discovered more about myself from what I
have written. I hope that the experiences that I share stimulates my peer s imaginations and senses, so
that they may glimpse into my perception to my personal writing excerpts, which have been both
tragic and joyful. One of my most fond experiences of writing was during the year of 2007. In a matter
of minutes I had composed a small poem. I pondered for days to submit it online for publication. I was
nervous and excited at the same time. You know that feeling. It s the one where you are afraid of the
rejection when the rush of adrenaline comes through that tends to make you so nauseous that your
heart races, you become intensely overcome with perspiration, and a small lump forms in the back of
your throat. Finally, I overcame the feeling of sickness, gave into my heart, and submitted what I
thought would become another disappointment. Less

The Identification of Green Fluorescence Protein Tagged...
Introduction:
Information is passed between neurons and muscles through the release of neurotransmitters. These
neurotransmitters are stored in synaptic vesicles in synapses. But before they can dock at a synapse, a
motor transport known as kinesin moves the synaptic vesicles along microtubules to their final
destination in the cell. This process is known as vesicle transport.
The purpose of these experiments were to gain a better understanding of the movement of vesicles
along microtubules and the importance of this in proper nerve transmission. This was accomplished by
analyzing the phenotypes of three different strains of Caenorhabditis elegans using microscopy and a
fluorescence microscope. The organisms contained fluorescence tags on the membranes of their
synaptic vesicles to make it easier to see how the mutations affected the vesicles locations.
Wild type C. elegans should be actively moving in an s shape pattern under a microscope. Under a
fluorescence microscope, the tags should appear at the nerve ring and along the nerve cords. In the C.
elegans with a fusion defect, its movement would appear impaired and the fluorescence tags would be
more concentrated at the nerve ring. Lastly, a C. elegans with a transport defect would also have
impaired movement, but the fluorescence tag would be dispersed in patches along the length of the
entire worm.
Results:
Observation of phenotypic appearance was taken using a dissecting microscope at 50x magnification

The Threat Of Insider Threats
The threat of insider threats within our company is made possible by emerging technologies. It is
important that a security polices and training be required to assist in preventing these threats from
occurring. Insider threats come from people who attempt to gain access to our systems in order to
cause problems to our organization. It has been estimated that insider threats make up to 30% of all
major security breaches. These threats include sabotage, theft, fraud, black mail, and violent actions. It
is important to note people who commit such acts are normally former employees, current employees,
and third party contractors. The following security proposal should be implemented with great hast
due to the nature of our work overseas (Deloitte, 2016).
The input of the shareholders involved in the decision making process is a key element to the success
of the implementation of our security prevention program. The feedback from employees will assist in
identifying the best recourse in attempting to stave off insider threats to secure our information
networks. For example, stakeholder meetings should include representatives from each section
affected by this potential threat. The governance committee should include the program manager,
assistant program manager, senior operations officers, team leaders and Senior U.S Army personnel.
The meetings will be open forum based which will assist in resolving issues, setting goals, and

  • 2. Manufacturing Output Rises in the Us An economic revival is here according to an article in The Atlantic titled America s Coming Manufacturing Revolution . In the author s own words, The combination of lower energy prices, innovative information technologies, and advances in robotics and materials science are powering a manufacturing revolution that will reinvigorate the U.S. economy, (Naím, Apr. 21, 2014). Bold words considering the recent financial crisis and drama in the geopolitical arena, but is there enough evidence to back his claims of this so called manufacturing revolution ? Several news outlets are reporting gains in manufacturing operations such as increases in labor and use of factory space. Using this information, I hope to describe the elements used to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Federal Reserve Bank assessed potential being used at factories, mines and utilities in the U.S. reached 79.2 percent in March . Comparatively, the national average from 1980 until now is 79.4 percent (Chandra, Apr. 20, 2014). According to an article in Reuters, this is the highest capacity utilization since June 2008. (Nawaguna, Apr. 16, 2014) Incidentally, as resources are used more efficiently, manufacturing output will increase. Higher labor costs and allocation of factory space are excellent indications that manufacturing output has indeed gone up within the United States. However, I would not consider it a revolution by any means because most of the data suggests this is only a gradual upward trend and hasn t changed any aspects of business. Although, if this upward trend continues, we can expect more job openings, greater use of factory space, and more made in the US products floating up around the markets of the world. Luckily, accountants aren t paid to forecast so my essay ends here. • 3. Intelligent Design In Public Schools Research Paper Teaching Intelligent Design in Public Schools What is the difference between belief and ethics? Where is the line drawn between faith and law? This is the debate fought by creationists and those who recognize evolution as true. The argument has been thrown back and forth for years. But, the real question is, should intelligent design be taught in public schools? In America, creationists believe that the world was created by a god, the majority of which is made up of Christians, are usually the the people that believe in intelligent design. This Christian theory states that all life on earth, and the earth itself, was created by an intelligent designer or god in their present form. There are variations in belief including Young Earth Theory, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The opposition to this theory comes in part from those whose religious beliefs are contradicted by it, those who claim that evolution is just a theory, and claim it is not a sound science because of the label. To understand that evolution is true and reliable, the definition of the word theory in a scientific context must first be understood. In Richard Dawkins The Greatest Show on Earth, this is explained, The Oxford English Dictionary gives two meanings... Theory, Sense 1:... a hypothesis that has been confirmed or established by observation or experiment, and is propounded or accepted as accounting for the known facts... Theory, Sense 2: A hypothesis proposed as an explanation: hence, a mere hypothesis, speculation, conjecture... It is proposed in this book that scientists and creationists are using these definitions in different contexts. Creationists use the second sense of the word theory, meaning a speculation of no value, and scientists use it in sense one, that of a proven hypothesis. In science the word theory is surpassed only by the word law in the sense of conveying certainty. In science, a theory is a hypothesis that has never been disproven, such as the theory of gravity. Evolution has been proven many times over through both observation and experiment, which is the reason it is taught in public schools. Though it has uncountable examples, only a fraction will be mentioned. Transitional fossils are one of the major concerns on the part of creationists. They use gaps in the fossils record to argue its unreliability. Transitional fossils are the species that lie in between the transition from one species to its ancestor or descendant. When these fossils are missing, it can seem far fetched for a whale to develop from a land dwelling dog like animal, but when the fossils in between these two species are discovered, the transition becomes clearer. • 4. Research Paper On Wigs History shows Egyptians wearing wigs, but those of means had human hair sewn into their own hair. Powdered wigs graced royal heads during the (), and the elaborate hairstyles of the Victorian, Edwardian and the Gilded Age were artistic creations that were impossible without hair pieces. For every era there are elaborate techniques for adding hair where needed or desired and as styles repeat themselves, ancient hair weaving techniques have returned as today s hair extensions. Millions of women will spend time and money on chemical curls, permanent relaxers and dyes to hide age or draw attention. While these maneuvers change the hair s appearance, they do not change the one thing that many men watch for, the length. Wigs give their wearers immediate gratification, but wig caps can be drying, inexpensive synthetic wigs can look unnatural, and human hair wigs can be too expensive. Add the wear and tear of having a wig s cap rubbing against the hair and length gained through patience can be lost to breakage. When modern women consider temporary length, hair extensions are often the answer. However, choosing high quality, human hair extensions means understanding human hair itself. Each strand of hair is made three layers of a protein called Keratin. The medulla is the innermost layer or the core of a strand. The cortex is the next layer ... Party Systems in Latin America Essay Party Systems in Latin America This essay will compare and contrast the party systems of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay according to Mainwaring and Shugart s Chapter 11 of Presidentialism and Democracy in Latin America. First, I will discuss majority verses minority government; second, I will discuss the number of relevant parties; third, I will discuss the level of party discipline with the parties. The President has strong proactive powers to counter this weakness. In Uruguay, the President has historically been supported by a substantial amount of congress rendering coalitions unnecessary. According to tale 11.1in Mainwaring and Shugart, the president in Uruguay has had an average of 45.6% of the seats in the Lower House and 43.8% of the seats in the upper house. This congressional composition is an ideal amount of support because it allows checks and balances to work; yet, the president can successfully implement a program. The last election in Uruguay did not yield this traditional composition. No party received a significant majority. The votes were split three ways between the Blanco, the Colorado, and the EP (Progressive Encounter). Whether or not this significant plurality trend will continue is unclear. The president of Argentina has usually enjoyed a significant amount of support in congress from his/her own party and coalitions. Mainwaring and Shugart s table11.1 shows Argentina President to have an average support of 48.3% in the Lower House and 52% in the upper house. Including coalition partners 49% in the Lower House and 52.0% in the upper house supports the president. This kind of congressional composition has the ability to inhibit checks and balance by a minority party. This is the extreme of winner take all politics, majority politics. The author mentions the percentage who have become mothers without marrying has more than doubled in the last decade, and public criticize the Feminism, promiscuity, the media, the 60 s for this increase. Historically, women wed men to gain money and stable social status, yet in the 1990s , during which this article was wrote, women are getting the right to earn money themselves, thus they are able to be independence from men. Furthermore, by revealing the feeble purpose beneath the discussion about unwed mother by the public, asking woman to self sacrifice, the author shows us that the best method in helping unwed mothers is treat two sexes equally so that they will both have the ability to be independence. ... Through religion and dance, they were able to release themselves to their gods and at the same time engage in a form of passive resistance. At the forefront of all this was enslaved women, who passed down and kept alive a disproportionate amount of the cultural heritage of Africa that survived in slavery. They did so through their roles as mothers and healers, daughters and workers. They were, in short, strong women who felt it is their duty to uphold traditional values. In many African cultures, women were honoured and this attitude towards them did not change within the Caribbean. Many of the religious rites and rituals took on an altered form in the Caribbean, but the role of women was constant. The proof is in the legacy that has been left behind. The same customs that enslaved Africans brought with them are still present today. For instance, women have handed down lessons through the art of storytelling, an art which they have maintained. Their stories tell of ancient people in ancient times but the morals are relevant even today, as are told in the Haitian folktale Ti Malice or the Jamaican folktales of Anansi. In the same sense, it costs a lot of money for a government to run a country. This is why taxation is necessary. Through taxation, a government can compensate their spending and fund the social services that benefit most of the society. High tax can compensate the government spending while may curb investment. A question always being raised is that how to impose an appropriate and efficient tax without harming our economy and what subjects are best to be taxed. We can find the answer from the analyses on different approaches to taxation by Adam Smith and David Ricardo throwback a century ago. Their analyses still have a far reaching impact on today s taxation policy. Adam Smith discusses different strategies for levying a tax in his book Wealth of Nations . Smith calls attention to that the state can raise money through five different channels: taxes on the rent of land, taxes upon the rent of the house, taxes upon profit, taxes upon the wages of labour and taxes upon consumable commodities. One way for Smith to evaluate those five different taxation channels is that whether they satisfy the four basic maxims for taxation he made. For a tax to be considered good and efficient, it needs to meet the following four basic principles raised by Smith: I. Characterization in this poem truly helps the reader understand what the town had lost and how the townspeople, including the speaker, feel about the young athlete s passing. In relation to the athlete, the speaker is one who has had some first hand experience watching the athlete perform and even celebrating the athlete as Housman writes, We chaired you through the market place (l.2). In reality, the survey was a gamble for the department because it could come back in a positive way, finding that we should hire more officers. Another outcome would be that we were overstaffed meaning we would lose positions. The final outcome could be that we were adequately staffed and nothing should change. After several months, the study determined that we had enough personnel, but the officers were working a ten hour shift that was consuming too many officers. The study recommended that the department goes to either an eight or ten hour shift. The department took the survey s recommendations and changed all officers to an eight hour shift. Another strength I would say is how I was able to interact more with my audience and show what I learned in a more interactive way. Rather than me just talking in front of my audience for 15 minutes about dirt. Some things I wasn t prepared for was how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will be able to do this by finishing my exhibition early so I have time to practice and practice. I also want to procrastinate less when I m making my exhibition, so my plan to achieve this is by making a day planner. Where it ll have a specific time and what I have to achieve by then, which will actually help me be more organized with myself. Another challenge I d like to do is to continue to try and make more activities so I m able to present a more engaging exhibition just like this one. Just so my exhibition doesn t end up being boring but even more engaging for my audience, just so they have something to do rather than me just talking. I d say that from my Term 1 Exhibition to now, I was able to improve a lot more in those areas I said in my term 1 reflection. I was able to manage well better now compared to both my first and second exhibitions, this exhibition I was able to finish a week before. Which has given me time to rehearse what I wanted to say and even add on new things. I was also able to engage my audience a lot due to the activity with the soil. Which I m pretty sure my audience actually enjoyed quite a lot. According to my first exhibition, I wanted to improve more on how I talked and I think I got a lot better in that too as well. As I think I m able to talk more clearer now than when I first started. Some challenges I d say that I m still facing is just the procrastination part. Even though I have been able to improve a lot more on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Developments and Possiblilities of Solar Power Solar power has been around for many years. The very first silicon based photovoltaic was invented by Bell Labs back in 1954. At this time the cost per watt was high at $285 and in 2009 it dropped to a mere $3.00 per watt (Solar Tech USA, 2014). Solar energy dates back as far as the 2nd century with the Greeks and Romans starting fires through broken glass. Indirect benefits from solar have been used way back to even photosynthesis (Bengtson, 2012). Passive solar energy was used to heat building by using the design to capture the sun for heating and lighting. Moving into the 20th century major changes have accrued and there is now concentrating solar power technologies for centralized solar thermal plants (Bengtson, 2012). The public believes that solar is not yet ready to take charge and become a major source of power, yet some experts disagree. Solar power in the 21st century has magnified many possibilities for solar use. Photovoltaic has created a large economic benefit by reducing the cost of other resources as well as its own for example solar heated water heaters have cut the cost of gas and electricity (Bengtson, 2012). Germany is a great example of how solar is in huge demand and working well to serve the consumers. Germany has 5 times the solar power the United States is currently using although Germany does not get a great deal of sun (Brad Plumer, 2013). Germany is the world leader in solar power and with the use of other renewable source has subsidized ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The Technique Of Energy Harvesting From Radio Signals 1. Introduction: The technique of energy harvesting from radio signals has received much attention in various applications in the recent time, such as radio frequency identification systems [1] and body sensor networks with medical implants [2]. According to the 2010 wireless smart phone customer satisfaction study from J. D. Power and Associates, the iPhone received top marks in every category except for battery life. The latest report in China also reflects the same problem. Based on the data, up to 60% of the users complained that battery endurance was the greatest hurdle when using 3G services. (Daquan Feng, 2013) In recent year, a new concept of energy harvesting from wireless signal is the subject of interest of many researchers and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We are using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation technique for Energy harvesting and information transfer. OFDM is most efficient and noise resistant scheme of modulation in wireless communication technology. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a method of digital modulation in which a signal is split into several narrowband channels at different frequencies. OFDM is used in applications such as digital television and audio broadcasting, DSL Internet access, wireless networks, 3G and 4G mobile communications. (Yair, 2006) This report would throw light on the different methodology approached for the wireless energy harvesting for project. Further, it would emphasize the work done during the first semester on the project. Moreover, it would highlight the line of action to be taken in order to complete the project in the next semester. 2. Literature Review: Wireless energy harvesting is an emerging topic of interest for communication and signal processing researchers. Varshney first proposed the idea of transmitting information and energy simultaneously in [2] assuming that the receiver is able to decode information and harvest energy simultaneously from the same received signal. For the proposed receiver, in [4] the authors used a capacity energy function to study the fundamental performance tradeoff for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. A Reflection Without Respect Society simply cannot function without respect. Respect is defined as the admiration or appreciation of someone. If no one had respect for one another, there would be chaos. There would be no appreciation of other people. This would cause an outrage among the society because people would have no manners and think they can get away with saying or doing whatever they want to someone else. Then, when someone gets their feelings hurt, they would fight back, and this cycle would continue. This could cause national debacles because no one would feel like an important part of society. For example, if teachers were not respected by students and were yelled at everyday, would they want to continue working under these conditions? This can also go all the way up into the government. The president not respecting his country would cause citizens to feel hatred against the leader and could cause outbursts. Not having respect could be as simple as shoving into someone and not saying sorry, or all the way up to violent protests. This means that a lack of respect could cause a boatload of problems in the world. A society without respect would be full of ignorance and selfishness. People would start to believe that showing respect for another person is a sign of weakness, when in reality it shows strong values. A self actualized person would realize that being respectful is a necessary trait to have. A big part of respect that seems to get lost is self respect. This is almost the most ... After the Berlin West Africa Conference in 1884 and 1885, King Leopold II of Belgium was granted administrative powers over the region titled, the Congo Free State. Although promising he would advance his private property to improve the lives of the native Africans, he immediately seized any vacant land in which no European was living on and deemed it the state s property. His servants working under him were then encouraged to exploit this land for the benefit of their own with little regard to the native s own lives. • 38. The Tragedy And Joy Of Writing The Tragedy and Joy of Writing We must all go through the experience of writing. Writing experiences are harmful and tragic, while others offer a sense of joy and pride. Some writing experiences are viewed as a formulated acquired skill and others as a beautiful and eloquent form of art. The process of our perception into what we write and convey is confounding because each person perceives it differently that the next. Writing for me is often a tedious and strenuous task, but I have found a way to verbally express my emotions, but I have discovered more about myself from what I have written. I hope that the experiences that I share stimulates my peer s imaginations and senses, so that they may glimpse into my perception to my personal writing excerpts, which have been both tragic and joyful. One of my most fond experiences of writing was during the year of 2007. In a matter of minutes I had composed a small poem. I pondered for days to submit it online for publication. I was nervous and excited at the same time. You know that feeling. It s the one where you are afraid of the rejection when the rush of adrenaline comes through that tends to make you so nauseous that your heart races, you become intensely overcome with perspiration, and a small lump forms in the back of your throat. Finally, I overcame the feeling of sickness, gave into my heart, and submitted what I thought would become another disappointment. Less ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. The Identification of Green Fluorescence Protein Tagged... Introduction: Information is passed between neurons and muscles through the release of neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters are stored in synaptic vesicles in synapses. But before they can dock at a synapse, a motor transport known as kinesin moves the synaptic vesicles along microtubules to their final destination in the cell. This process is known as vesicle transport. The purpose of these experiments were to gain a better understanding of the movement of vesicles along microtubules and the importance of this in proper nerve transmission. This was accomplished by analyzing the phenotypes of three different strains of Caenorhabditis elegans using microscopy and a fluorescence microscope. The organisms contained fluorescence tags on the membranes of their synaptic vesicles to make it easier to see how the mutations affected the vesicles locations. Wild type C. elegans should be actively moving in an s shape pattern under a microscope. Under a fluorescence microscope, the tags should appear at the nerve ring and along the nerve cords. In the C. elegans with a fusion defect, its movement would appear impaired and the fluorescence tags would be more concentrated at the nerve ring. Lastly, a C. elegans with a transport defect would also have impaired movement, but the fluorescence tag would be dispersed in patches along the length of the entire worm. Results: Observation of phenotypic appearance was taken using a dissecting microscope at 50x magnification and a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is important that a security polices and training be required to assist in preventing these threats from occurring. Insider threats come from people who attempt to gain access to our systems in order to cause problems to our organization. It has been estimated that insider threats make up to 30% of all major security breaches. These threats include sabotage, theft, fraud, black mail, and violent actions. It is important to note people who commit such acts are normally former employees, current employees, and third party contractors. The following security proposal should be implemented with great hast due to the nature of our work overseas (Deloitte, 2016). The input of the shareholders involved in the decision making process is a key element to the success of the implementation of our security prevention program. The feedback from employees will assist in identifying the best recourse in attempting to stave off insider threats to secure our information networks. For example, stakeholder meetings should include representatives from each section affected by this potential threat. The governance committee should include the program manager, assistant program manager, senior operations officers, team leaders and Senior U.S Army personnel. The meetings will be open forum based which will assist in resolving issues, setting goals, and prioritizing tasks to ensure a smooth implementation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
