4. Why did we want Efficient Systems Access?
ESA is a solution to give clinicans fast and easy
acces to their IT-systems.
ESA is a combination of two funktions:
 Single SignOn, remember userid, password etc.
Including automatic log-in to specified systems.
Continue on the next computer, where you were
when you left you computer

Reconnect < 7 secunds – usually 5
seconds
 External access – it must be possible to
access ESA from anywhere in the world,
from any computer in a secure way

 Keep it simple strategy is getting pushed:
 The amount of systems in ESA
 VDI is VERY dependent of the infrastructure
 Network connections
 SAN
 Several projects in one is more complex than ”just”
one
 The change from Pilot to Production was difficult
 ESA has A LOT of interfaces to other projects and
operations in RegionH
 Users doesn’t ”just” start using VDI – even it’s fast
and simple to use
