In April 2009, web 2.0 capital market activity was subdued with only four capital raises totaling $102.3 million, compared to higher totals in previous months. Key raises included $20 million by Collective Media and $16 million by Goom Radio, though overall financing levels fell short of expectations. A total of 92 public web 2.0 companies were identified, cumulatively valued at approximately $41 billion, with positive stock performances for many companies despite decreased activity.
