Mang Inasal
Edgar Sia II: The Man Behind Mang Inasal Sia s first taste of running a business was when he was 20
years old. It was at the Four Season Hotel, followed by Mister Labada, a Laundromat, then Injap
Color Express, a photo developing shop. All these are based in Iloilo. Then he cooked up the idea of
operating Mang Inasal, the specialty of which is grilled chicken. It started in 2003 when small town
lad Edgar Sia II, then a 26 year old college dropout, grabbed a tiny spot in the parking lot of a mall,
the site of an upcoming food hall. As a frequent customer of McDonald s and KFC, Sia knew what he
d been missing in the fast food scene: Filipino style street fare served in a restaurant type setting.
Before long customers were lining up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Currently, there are 445 branches nationwide and with over 10,000 employees system wide. MANG
INASAL is doing its share in alleviating the unemployment burden of the country. The presence of
every MANG INASAL in a certain area provides not only employment but also opportunities to
community members including suppliers of kalamansi, charcoal, banana leaves, vegetables, bamboo
sticks, and other ingredients. It also indirectly gives income generating activities to many. Mang Inasal
s 2006 debut in Manila was awkwardly timed as it was in the midst of a rice shortage in the country.
Sia s response was to offer a value meal of grilled chicken and unlimited rice for the equivalent of $2.
This had already become an instant hit in Iloilo and Manila s budget conscious crowd took to it, too.
The all you can eat campaign, which was supposed to last two months, became a permanent item on
the menu. Today, Sia says, it s their most popular product. Manila alone has over 100 Mang Inasal
outlets; 200,000 customers are served daily nationwide. Aiming to make his chain a national brand,
Sia hit the road. He spent a year visiting over 70 cities in all. Today if we want to expand somewhere,
I can say I ve been there, he says. (Mang Inasal is present in 68 cities.) * Mang Inasal Manila

Three Day Road
Wandering
Windigo of the Wemistikoshiw The novel Three Day Road can be viewed as an explicit indicator as to
the importance of sustaining cultural identity, and the consequences associated with its absence from
any aspect of human life. The tale provides a salient setting through which this spiritual malfeasance is
brought about, with much of its content consisting of the supremacy of the wemistikoshiw, or white
man, over the Aboriginals in World
War 1. The novel s European setting manifests the primary cause for the spiritual bankruptcy of Elijah
Weesacheejak, one of the story s central figures and the novel s primary thematic microcosm.
Influenced deeply by
Western ideals, he is said to be a windigo which, as explained by the

An objectivist to the core,
Niska represents an archetype of cultural wisdom, as described by Joseph
Boyden: I wanted her to be a strong woman who was doing this [being a woman of the bush] despite
what everyone says about her and the toughness of her existence... (Wylie 229). Niska is exposed to
the horrors of the world at an early age, witnessing events such as her father s murder of one of her
fellow Cree gone windigo (Boyden 45). This coupled with her being used sexually by the Frenchman,
who claimed to have ...fucked ahcahk, [her] spirit (174), out of lustful capitalism creates a perfect
storm of familiarity with the human condition within her. Niska realizes that the man made society of
the whites further pronounces the flaws of the human spirit, thereby differentiating between her
culture and that of the wemistikoshiw. She explains this difference early on in the novel, by way of her
epileptic visions: No one is safe in such times, not even the Cree of the Mushkegowuk. War touches
everyone, and windigos spring from the earth (49). In order to prevent the mingling of Aboriginal and
European lifestyles, she completely refuses to submit to the will of the wemistikoshiw, even when
forced to live in one of their residential schools as a young girl. The bushmaster neglects even menial

Articles Of Confederation Rhetorical Analysis
One of the most important documents written in American history, the Articles of Confederation, was
crucial to the foundation of American principles. However, there were many inherent flaws in its
making, which were addressed by a few different leaders. The Articles of Confederation paved the
way towards a successful country, but some of the problems would have sent the country backwards.
One of these problems was that for an amendment to be made to the Articles, every state would have
to agree, and Rhode Island never sent delegates to conventions to discuss these amendments. This
meant that there could never be flexibility in the amendments even when necessary. This dilemma
forced many elites of America to come together and completely rewrite ... Show more content on

10 was one of the main factors that allowed for the ratification of the modern constitution and
government system. Idealistically, Madison s ideas about government are possibly the best possible
solution to the conflict of factions, yet in reality, Federalist No. 10 has been manipulated in ways that
separate people more than unite them. While Madison is probably right in that republicanism is better
than simply a popular democracy, his writing essentially did nothing but flip the party in power.
Before, the power was held by the majority common people, which was bad because only their
interests were being addressed, but after Madison wrote Federalist No. 10, the elite group was the
group from which delegates were being elected. Madison was one of the property owners, and he
feared that the common sort would prevent him from remaining in power so he had to switch the way
the system worked. Through his rhetorical analysis he convinced the people that electing delegates
was the way to go, and in the end only the members of the elite group were elected. He wanted a
government that protected the rights of the rich property owners from the common sort and he was
successful in doing so. He says a rage for paper money will hinder the abilities of those elected and
therefore should not be. This prevented anyone who was poor from being elected. Now, Madison also
makes the assumption that the people elected will somehow throw

Argument In Favor Of Animal Testing
I doubt that anyone has ever heard of the dog named libby, who was rescued from a testing facility,
run by the Professional laboratory and Research Services inc. This corporation ran test on a multitude
of animals, no species was safe. All animals from dogs like libby, to cats , bunnies, rats and mice, and
many others. Before libby was called libby, she was known by the number that was tattooed to her ear.
She was sick with hook and tapeworms and had a multiple of infections. She was also locked in dark
cages. And on top of all of that; Staff screamed obscenities and physically abused the animals in their
care. This story is a fact of an animal testing facility, but it doesn t necessarily have to be. I believe
that animal testing should be allowed, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Returning to the discussion of biofabrication, Me , not even being a professional scientist, can see the
implication of bio fabricated tissues into such research. There are also studies going on, known as
vitro methods, when they take certain human cells, and recreate them for testing. So test like irritation
to the skin and other tissues could be tested on fabricated cells instead of having live animals suffer.
That is an answer for tests which deal with the exterior such as cosmetic testing on animals. But how
about advanced animal testing, such as research for cures for parkinson s , Alzheimer s, and others? I
m sorry to say that I have found no such alternative of animal testing, other than human volunteers
who have whatever they are trying to cure. For medical research towards cures for problems like
mental diseases, animal testing, is somewhat of a need. It s very unrealistic to assume that there would
be enough human volunteers to fully find a cure to mental illnesses, because most people, just want to
be healed, with no ifs, ands, or buts. So animal research becomes relevant, when the demand is high.
So when I say that

Persuasive Essay On International Human Trafficking
For many people, slavery system has been an outdated word that only seems to exist in the history
book. However, it is redefined in the modern society and replaced by a new term human trafficking ,
which is a serious challenge to the human rights, involving almost every country in the world.
Besides, it is considered as the most evil and shameful crime in the human history. Every year, more
than millions of innocent kids, men, women are kidnapped and sold to the other countries, forced to
do prostitution, child soldiers or labors. However, limiting demand of this trafficked human market
can be an effective solution by raising awareness and establishing mature employment standards.
Recent research clearly illustrates the international human trafficking is still in an escalating trend and
the predominant victims are female or girls who are robbed for sexual purpose. According to the
report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2006), sexual exploitation
contains 79% of all the forms of human trafficking crime. More specifically, in Europe, there are more
than 140,000 innocent women who are trapped into a violent situation and one seventh of them are
forced to involve into sexual activities. In general, those victims are suffering from physical and
mental abusing and can hardly escape from the control of criminals because most of them are
unfamiliar with the local language in the region and their passports have been taken away. Meanwhile,

As the night came to an end all of the kids were in their pajamas, the stockings were hung to be filled,
presents were placed under me, and cookies were waiting for Santa. Sure enough Santa arrived as the
house became silent. I told Santa all about how Ava kept me company throughout my visit and what

Man s Search For Meaning Essay
I am going to guess that the reader of this essay is not a holocaust survivor. I can almost guarantee it.
Although you re not a survivor of one of the most horrific events in history, it does not mean you will
have no feelings about it if you were to hear some stories. I call them stories because most books
written of such detail are mere personal experiences and not factual, historical information. Speaking
of personal experiences, I took the time to read a book about a man named Viktor Emil Frankl (26
March 1905 2 September 1997).¹ He was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a
Holocaust survivor. The book is called Man s Search for Meaning , and I find it to be a truthful

Frankl trusted that in spite of the fact that the Nazi s could force much suffering on him, could rid of
his family, and could detain him, they could not choose how he was. He had control over the way he
would act, respond, and carry on. Regardless of what they did, he would choose his conduct and be in
charge of it. My aim is neither to abridge the book for you, nor to clarify the ideas of existential
treatment, so I will move here to my evaluation and reaction to Frankl s book. To start with, I need to
repeat that this book is a superb read. For anybody new to the outrages of a death camp, the tale of
human triumph even with such barbarities alone is justified regardless of the read. It also gives a rule
to engage people to take liability for their life, and to make importance in it. It gives a model of living
over the impact of condition. The initial stage is portrayed by the indication of shock. Frankl speaks of
his entry via train at the notorious Auschwitz, when he and his kindred detainees underlying stun and
frightfulness rapidly offered a path to the condition known as the delusion of reprieve , the conviction
that they would be spared at last, that things couldn t be as horrendous as they appeared. Frankl
portrays how, not for the last time, he sat tight for destiny to follow through to its logical end as the
detainees proceeded remaining before a SS officer who coolly guided them toward the right, which
implied they looked physically and

James Weldon Johnson My City Analysis
As humans who live there lives on day to day basis, we never stop to think about what we will miss
most when our time on this planet has come to an end. In the poem My City by James Weldon
Johnson there is self discussion about what he will truly miss once his journey on earth ends. He
comes to the conclusion that what will truly be missed most, is his city . Johnson s use of sensory
images, personification, choice of rhyme scheme and shift helped portray the importance that his city
has had on him. Johnson s uses sensory images sparks our sense of sight, smell and sound by giving us
a view into a few of the natural beauties his city has to offer such as; the sight of trees, the smell of

The Effects Of Stress On The Body
Stress
Stress has no defined definition and cannot be measured. It varies across each individual. It can be
either good stress or bad stress depending on the nature, extent and outcome. It can be a good stress if
it is temporary, positive, motivational and helpful for an individual to accomplish more and can be a
bad stress if it leads to mood swings and affects body systems. Stress is mostly commonly known as
physical, emotional and mental disturbance of a human body. Things that are stressful for one person
cannot necessarily be stressful for others.
Workplace stress is common in adults but children, teenagers; elderly people can also undergo stress
for various reasons that can include increase violence, peer pressure, substance abuse, social isolation,
loneliness, loss of support etc. These are powerful stress busters.
Contemporary Stress
This kind of stress can cause more psychological problems than physical threats. Blood sugar level
increases, blood clots can occur, rapid increase of heart rate and blood pressure. Our body undergoes
changes to fight or flight the stress but when this is repeatedly invoked it may lead to heart attack,
stroke and other deadly conditions.
Effects of Stress
Stress can lead to emotional and physical disorders including anxiety, depression, stroke, heart
problems, gastrointestinal disorders, mood swings, skin diseases and various other diseases. The
American institute of stress has a list that shows 50 common signs and symptoms of stress.

Semilunar Valves
After atrioventricular valves closure, the pressure in the ventricles continues grows rapidly. Diastolic
pressure in aorta is several times higher than in left atrium. The pressure in pulmonary artery is also
higher than in right atrium. That is why between the closure of atrioventricular valves and opening of
semilunar (aorta and pulmonary artery) some time passes, a moment, when pressure in the ventricles
rapidly grows, but without expulsion and ventricles capacity does not change. Duration of this phase is
comparable to the T1 duration. Semilunar valves open at the end of this phase. In some situations, the
opening of pathologically changed valves of aorta and pulmonary artery goes along with audible
expulsion tone (TO).
After semilunar valves opening, blood flows into aorta and pulmonary artery. Normally, this is the
fastest bloodstream during the whole cardiac cycle. For healthy people it may go along with a soft
noise, which is audible in the middle of the systole, and often slightly shifted to T1. Just like pressure
gradient, the volume of this noise grows at first, and then decreases. This is often normal. ... Show

ventricle systoles that is why it varies in time. When ventricle systoles do not end simultaneously, T2
splits into aortal and pulmonary components, each one which caused by the closure of corresponding
valve. Second tone components accurately mark the systolic ending time of a corresponding

The New York City Water System Then and Now
New York City has one of the most top quality drinking water and is called the champagne of drinking
water [13] which is due to its unique water treatment system that consists of a vast reservoir system. A
reservoir is a natural or artificial source of untreated water that can be found underground or at ground
level that can include water treatment and associated equipment (pumps and piping systems).[1] There
are three major watershed systems in which New York receives its water which are The Croton
System, The Catskill System, The Delaware System. The reservoir systems pump approximately 1.1
billion gallons of fresh and clean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Further population increase and the expansion of New York City to include five boroughs amplified
the need for more clean water circulation. In order to find new water sources the Board of Water
Supply built facilities in four watersheds that is now known as the Catskill System (which includes the
Ashokan Reservoir and Catskill Aqueduct). The Delaware System was fully constructed in 1944
which receives water from the Delaware River tributary. Located in current day New York Public
Library there once housed one of NYC s main water supply systems called the Croton Reservoir
(Murray hill reservoir). Built in 1842 in a style of an Egyptian Cornice it had an area of four acres and
held a capacity of 20 million gallons. As a result increases in population between 1840 and 1870 other
reservoir system were built in place of the Croton Reservoir and it was shut down in 1890.[4]
NYC Reservoirs today
The NYC drinking water system is gravity driven and is sourced from 19 reservoirs and three
controlled lakes in a 1,972 sq mi watershed and has a storage capacity of roughly 580 billion gallons.
[5] During drought water is exchanged from one water system to the other.
The Croton System has 12 reservoirs and three controlled lakes that are positioned in Westchester,
Putnam and Duchess Counties. The newest Croton Reservoir

Obesity Is A Major Issue That Our Country Faces Today
I chose to write about a cartoon from Times Magazine that focuses on Obesity in America by Joe
Heller. Obesity is a major issue that our country faces today. After analyzing this cartoon I wanted to
further my understandings to what it meant. In this article we see that the American Medical
Association (AMA) is a main variable. They stated that moderately overweight people live longer .
That is a bold statement and what I want to know is does having extra body fat really allow you to live
longer? The Journal of the American Medical Association researchers say that being overweight may
lead a longer life. Their conclusion to this comes from detailed review from over 100 previous
published research papers that have joined body weight and morality. This confirms that obese people
(particularly those who are extremely obese) tend to die earlier than those who are at a healthy weight.
Their findings argue that people who are overweight but are not obese may live longer than people
with clinically normal body weight. This cartoon takes place in a gym, and based on the sign on the
wall that says New Year s Resolution, Weight Loss Class I am guessing that it is taking place in the
beginning of the year. There is only one man in the gym, and he looking back in confusion on a tread
mill wondering where everyone else in the gym has gone. An observation I made was that the gym
was messy, and had water bottles and towels on the floors. There are TVs on every pillar that says

Differences Between Superman And Superman, Television And...
Cloaked in red and blue, Superman soars above Metropolis. Well known to the public, he is strong,
kind, humble and in love with Lois Lane. Then he gets to work. He puts on some glasses, and he
becomes Clark Kent, a mild mannered reporter. According to the public, his relationship with Louis is
platonic. Despite being the same person, depending on who you ask, they will give you a very
different description of just one man. The real difference between Superman and Clark Kent isn t a
disguise, but the social context in which he is seen. Much the same as Superman, people can have
multiple identities, or frames of themselves, each coming out in a specific social context. With social
media, these different identities can be created and thrive. On public platforms, the ideal side of a
person is shown, along with their close relationships, but on private sites, they don t have to worry
about dealing with the pressure from others. To put simply, whether you see Superman or Clark Kent,
depends on who is watching him, so it can be argued that the amount of privacy a user has on a social
media platform, greatly impacts how they display themselves, and their relationships on said platform
as well.
Overall, some of the most popular social media platforms are public ones, such as Facebook and
Instagram. Although these sites have different features, one similarity between them is how they can
be used to enforce gender norms . Public sites often involve the user posting photos and

Prayer By Thomas Keating, Contemplative Prayer
Introduction
According to Thomas Keating, Contemplative prayer is a conversation initiated by God and leading, if
we consent to a divine union. It is the way to pure faith. Unlike with vocal prayers, in which we call
out to God asking for things we need, with contemplative prayer our role is to allow God to be God. In
other words, God directs Contemplative prayer, His grace opens our hearts and minds to the His
presence inside us. Consequently, contemplative prayer begins with a centering prayer, which is a
silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. Keating noted that, Centering
prayer is an effort to renew the teaching of the Christian tradition of contemplative prayer. Similar to
other methods of prayer, the foundation of centering prayer is the Triune God. Keating noted that, The
practice is based on the wisdom saying of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. The scripture reads, But
when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father in secret. And your
Father, who sees in secret, will reward you (Matt. 6:6). Practicing contemplative prayer will
strengthen our spiritual commitment and enrich our personal lives. I will discuss the origin, methods
and benefits of contemplative prayer.
Origin of Contemplative Prayer For centuries, the definition for contemplation evolved. According to
Keating, Gnosis was used by St. Paul in the Epistles to represent the knowledge of God proper to
those who

The book of Genesis is all about one thing; creation. God within the book is known as a creator and
ruler of the universe in which he shows a supreme level of authority. Moreover, he is responsible for
many things such as sky, land, living creatures, and vegetation. With him creating many things that
surround the world, he speaks of making his own image in which he wants to create humankind. He
then creates a man and a woman known as Adam Eve. With Adam Eve spending time together, they

Designing A New Design For A Distributed Operating System
As the Chief Information Officer working in my business, I will be proposing a new design for the
current network to attempt to improve the quality and productivity of 250 client computers and 50
servers. My first decision would be to opt to change the system to a distributed operating system
(DOS). I would choose this course of action because instead of centralizing all the resources on one
server, which could lead to problems in the event of a hardware failure, you could distribute them
across multiple instances decreasing the likelihood of system outages, and making errors easier to deal
with ( Definition of Distributed n.d). Although this model will be much more expensive to implement,
I believe that it will lead to better growth in the future. The reliability of the network will be increased,
which leaves room for improvement, adding more client systems, or even servers. Updating the
operating system to a distributed operating system will increase the overall size and reliability of the
database for subscribers to use. The current server operating system would be Windows Server 2003. I
d make minor changes to the server operating system upgrading to a later version like 2008 or 2012. I
chose Windows over Linux, MAC, and other server OS because I think its performance is suitable for
this type of environment. Windows itself has a high support for most functions (Janowski, 2003).
While Linux is a good operating system, getting support in my opinion would be

Classification PSA is a glycoprotein produced by the prostate epithelial cells Cancer may elevate
levels both from increased production and because tissue barriers between the gland lumen and
vascular bed are disrupted.
PSA Levels PSA has a half life of 2.2 days and elevated levels vary in recovery depending on the
cause of the elevation PSA elevation may precede clinical cancer by 5 10 years.
Specificity PSA is organ specific, not cancer specific. Using 4.0 ng/ml as cut off for abnormal the
specificity is 91% and 85% for cut off of 3.0 ng/ml Elevated levels also found in BPH and
prostatitis/UTIs, post prostate biopsy and in acute urinary retention (do not test for 2 4 weeks).
Negligible level increases due to DRE.
Sensitivity Most screening studies use 4.0 ng/ml as cut off for abnormal levels, but a review of the
literature in 2006 showed the estimated sensitivity using 4.0 was only 21% for detecting cancer and
51% for detecting high grade (Gleason 8). In 2009, estimates of 4.3 to 73% sensitivity were given
(www.parliament.nz/resource0000166364). Using 3.0 cut off increased sensitivities to 32 and 68%.

may not correlate with the acuity of the prostate cancer. A later study concluded that no single cut off

viewed as a social norm, and that couples should have a right to file for divorce with no stigma.
Although Whitehead argues that divorce is an ethical issue, she also shows reasons why couples
should carefully think of filing for divorce before making a final decision such as their children s
consideration. Whitehead successfully presents the divorce culture as a very serious ethical problem
by giving ideas of why parents are getting divorced, and how their children can be effected by it.
Although divorce is viewed as an ethical problem, people still have the right to file for a divorce if it is
for their own satisfaction. We never know what happens behind closed doors between a couple, and
what types of issues they are going through. Whitehead mentions in her article about how abusive and
how demolorizing some relationships can be. In her article, Whitehead states We must assume that
divorce is necessary as a remedy for irretrievably broken marriages, especially those that are marred
by severe abuse such as chronic infidelity, drug addiction, or physical

How Did The Cpr Affect Canada
The Impact of the CPR on the development of Canada The Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) is the
transcontinental railway which caused a dynamic impact in the development of Canada. From
building towns, increasing the economy value, and providing Canada a faster mode of transportation.
The CPR s original purpose was to convince British Columbia to join confederation as the First prime
minster John A. Macdonald, promised. However, early on in the process of building this railway
Macdonald ran into some financial issues, as a result caused a political scandal involving the CPR.
The pacific scandal, the name of this scandal, revolved around Macdonald, Sir Hugh Allan, a
financially wealthy industrialist, and the CPR s future. Due to Macdonald s, political campaigning

Survey to continue to survey possible routes the railway could take. After Mackenzie s term in office
was over Macdonald won the elections once again and began searching for the CPR s backers, which
he eventually did. The backers were actually three private investors whom became to to known as The
CPR Syndicate, moreover they also had monopoly on all rail tariffs west of Lake Superior for the next
ten years. As soon as their contract was approved the CPR Syndicate altered the railway s original
route and moved it around 300 kilometers south, into the southern prairies which in turn gave the CPR
more control of how the area would develop, though because of this unforeseen change of plans, the
Canadian Pacific Survey had then become irrelevant. Constructing the CPR had then proved to be
quite a hassle for it was not going well, along with the its snail like progress. To confront this
dilemma, the CPR Syndicate hired William Van Horne with hopes that he would transform the CPR s
dire situation, in fact Van Horne exceeded their

Heathcliff Revenge Quotes
Wuthering Heights is a novel written by Emily Brontë and is considered by many to be a
straightforward and intense, love story. However, the story is truly about revenge and the ramifications
of taking action on vengeful thoughts. It follows the life of Heathcliff, a mysterious, angry and
sometimes malicious individual from childhood to his death in his late thirties. Heathcliff becomes
well loved by his dad in his adopted family, however after his adopted father s death, he is reduced to
the status of a servant and runs away when the woman he loves (Catherine Earnshaw) decides to

Rhetorical Questions About Graphic Design
Narrative intro:
Witty comment rhetorical question about art. Artist quote. Implication of the medium of Graphic
design. What is Graphic design what do i Know about Graphic design. This is my journey of
discovery of the pathway of an arts career specifically in the sector of graphic design. Before i
conducted my research about graphic design i new of only certain aspects of graphic design. I knew
graphic design was a career of the art field and was greatly integrated with technology. They use
tablets, computers, etc to create advertisements.
I had made many assumptions about graphic design before i actually researched it. I believed it was a
extremely low paying job, and as was all art involved jobs. I believed you had to be incredibly

It all began that day in the computer lab. I logged onto an ebsco resource database and i began typing
in keywords pertaining to artistic careers, but mainly graphic design. I used lots of my sources i found
on the database were taken from encyclopedias. We went as a class to the computer lab and researched
on ebsco database. I was a bit lazy, then a couple weeks later i finally took the plunge and went to the
library. I love books and libraries, but it s just a social issue for me. Books are so personal and to have
someone else read and feel the same things is just so exposing and you kinda feel naked. So being in a
library with other people is somewhat... weird. But finally my friend, lauren, and i entered the library.
I initially had a hard time finding any books, i really don t like asking for help because it s honestly
awkward. But i found an initial art/ film isle. It was very limited but i didn t expect more from a
school library. To my delight i found that there was a somewhat large isle all pertaining to graphic
design. I m short, so i made sure to bring a tall friend to reach the books on the top shelf. I proceeded
to grab three books, two on the history of graphic design (which deemed less helpful), and an
explanatory manual on the different aspects of Graphic design. I also watched a documentary on
netflix called Abstract: The art of Design I found the best information in that book, describing the
basics of graphic design and in the netflix documentary. The documentary offered insight on different
fields of design whether it was political cartoons, stage design, typography, or in the fashion industry.
The basis of my project is specifically graphic design, yet graphic design is applicable to many
mediums. The book gave me the basic details and background information, and i could apply my
previous knowledge to really understand the netflix documentary which was a series of interviews of
designers and their specifics of their

Common Themes In Seger s Creating The Myth
Until reading Seger s, Creating the Myth I did not realize how movies are connected in a special way.
Most movies have the common background, and similar heroic endings, through the story is usually
different from one another. The movie I will be analyzing is The Lion King. It is not the traditional
superhero movie, but it has the same common principles. There were many universal themes
embedded in this movie to help us connect more with the movie. Seger mentions in paragraph 13,
many times...the hero doesn t want to leave, and this is true. Simba, in The Lion King, did not want to
leave but he felt his father, Mufasa, death was because of him. Simba lost himself and literally almost
died from running away until he got help from some unusual creatures. This is another point Seger
mentions in paragraph 14, the hero usually receives help, and the help often comes from unusual
sources. Without the help from Pumba and Timon, Simba realistically would have died whether from
starvation or depression. These creatures taught him, Hakuna Matata, which taught Simba not to
worry about things he could not fix. Thus, they helped him, in a way, get away from his past life and
pain. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

a positive figure that helped Simba face his fears. Another archetype was Simba s uncle, Scar. Scar is a

Comedy Of Errors
Roland Barthes has said, Literature is the question minus the answer. This pretty much means that it
raises questions that it doesn t always answer; it leaves us to think larger about themes and issues. In
The Comedy of Errors the play questions how strong is the power of love with family. The multiple
problems people go through in this play help us understand that humans can suffer without a loving
and stable family. In Shakespeare s view he s saying how family matters in this play and what they go
through to find their family again is meaningful, people will do anything to find their family again.

He s saying that fixing broken bonds shows that love can fix any tragedy, misunderstanding and
isolation within this play. Shakespeare made it so Egeon was searching for his family for five summer
lands in Ephesus, where his family got lost in. He also makes it so Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse
search to find their family when he turns eighteen. Their devotion of searching for loved ones was so
strong that they ended up in Ephesus. The determination shows us that Antipholus and Dromio of
Syracuse and Egeon didn t give up finding their family, they kept searching for years. Antipholus and
Dromio of Syracuse and Egeon ending up in Ephesus was the first step to finding their family, they
started on the right path. The quest they are seeking was influenced with love and devotion.
Shakespeare uses Antipholus of Ephesus not knowing about his twin brother an advantage so the play
has some problems. Also, to have the family come together and realize they have a

Structure Of Calvin s Soteriology Essay
II. union with Christ
i. Structure of Calvin s soteriology in Book III in light of Union with Christ
In Book III which is his soteriology, Calvin starts the work of Holy Spirit by introducing Union with
Christ as the mechanism which connects the work of Christ and it s targeting object, the believer. In
fact, Union with Christ acts as a sub motif running through entire Book III. In the first three chapters,
Calvin unfolds this union which is a description of a certain relationship first founded by the secret
energy of the Spirit and resulting in the faith in the believer. In the end of Book III, Calvin concludes
the goal of the work of the Holy Spirit through union is to bring union with God to those who have
faith in Christ and therefore are grounded by this union with Christ in the final resurrection. And in
between, Calvin explains at length that what happen in this relationship is the double grace,
sanctification and justification, in which defines that salvation must consist of human recognition in
the light of the work of the Holy Spirit. In the following chapter, I will first discuss how the humanity
of Christ relate to our union with Christ from the soteriological perspective. And the next chapter will
move the loci to the transition from union with Christ to the communion with God in light of the
humanity of Christ. Finally, I will try to provide the eschatological perspective of the humanity of
Christ in our communion with God and to conclude that why it is

Ed Fletcher s Response To The Message
Ed Fletcher was one of the creators of the song The Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious
Five, which was released in 1982. This song depicted a horrible scene of blacks living in the ghettos,
which was relevant socially because of the issue of racism that was being addressed, and had been an
issue for a long time. Although the book didn t mention much about his personal life, as a black man it
is obvious why he would want to create a song that addresses racism towards blacks. The Message
takes the approach of describing the awful treatment that people living in the ghettos were receiving,
which was particularly relevant to the artists who created the song, like Ed Fletcher as I just
mentioned, because they were all blacks who had likely experienced this situation. The lyrics used in
the song, such as Got no money to move out, I guess I got no choice, Rats in the front room, roaches
in the back, Junkies in the alley with a baseball bat aid in connecting with the listener s sympathy for
those who experience this, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This song talks about someone coming home from the war who wasn t treated very well. They lyrics
are very straightforward, depicting a story through words such as, Got in a little hometown jam, so
they put a rifle in my hand; Sent me off to a foreign land to go and kill the yellow man (Google). What
s particularly ironic about this is that a lot of people thought that the song was very patriotic, even
though it s lyrics clearly state the opposite. One reason the book suggested this might have been so
was because people might not have even been listening to the lyrics, hence weakening the impact of
his message. One reason why Springsteen might have created this song was because although he didn
t have this experience himself, a lot of people his age had come home from the war not long before
and received this rough

Nobody s Son Is The Winner Of The American Book And...
Nobody s son is the winner of the American book and translated around the world. Luis Alberto Urrea
is the author. He wrote several categories of books. He is a member of the Latino Literature Hall of
Fame. When he was a child, he lived in neighbor where there was racial discrimination. His mom was
a segregationist, so she abandoned him to live with his father. His father wanted to teach him to be a
real man. However, his instructions were too aggressive. Therefore, learning something quickly from
critical situations, forcing kids to do some dislikes to stop crying, enhancing patience from facing
injuries, and being a bad model for kids are too offensive to instruct kids to be a real man. To instruct
children to be able to do something rapidly by practicing in a dangerous situation does not mean to be
a real man. Parents might let their children learn how to train some abilities by themselves, but parents
should not teach their children in a dangerous situation because children cannot help themselves yet.
For instance, Luis s dad teaches him how to ride a bike like a real man. He removes training wheels
and tells Luis to ride a bike on the road, which many cars are driving. Luis falls down on the road with
blood on his arm, and a driver honks a horn. This might be Luis s luckiness that the car does not hit
him. A critical situation cannot prove to be a real man. His father may misunderstand that practicing in
a terrible situation is what a real man

Analysis Of Girl By Jamaica Kincaid
Society has created in their minds the way a woman is supposed to act and the things they are allowed
to do. In Jamaica Kincaid s Girl , we see a young woman being forced to live by the likeness of the
society in which she dwells. Although this is not the life she wants to live, she has no other choice
than to become the woman she was made to be.
Throughout time the relationship between mothers and daughters have changed. Many mothers hold
on to the old fashioned opinion of what a woman should be and many older women feel that a women
s true role in life is to be domesticated. This idea of a woman s place in the home is being reinforced
throughout Kincaid s short story. The mother in the story is telling her young daughter the ways things
should be done. Wash the white clothes on Monday and put them on the stone heap; wash the colored
clothes on Tuesday and put them on the clothesline to dry. She further goes on to describe other
household chores and how they should be correctly done. This is how you sweep a corner. She tells
her daughter how to set a table for different meals, how to cook things, and even how to pick out
bread. Unfortunately, though, the story doesn t tell a woman how to have a successful career, to go to
college, or how to work outside of the home. In those days women were expected to stay at home
while their husband s go out to work and make all the money. Even if they tried, they were not
allowed to go outside the way society made them to be and this mother is trying to raise her young
daughter the same way she was raised which is to be a house wife.
Even though the girl says nothing in the story, she is building resentment towards her mother because
she feels that she should be allowed to make her own decision on whether to be domesticated.
Throughout the story never did the mother once stop to get her daughter s input on the issues, she just
simply tells her daughter that she has no other choice but to be domesticated and there is no way of
changing it. She tells the daughter how to act, how to dress, how to talk, and even how to walk.
Always eat your food in a way that it won t turn someone else s stomach...On Sundays try to walk like
a lady and not like the slut that you are

  • 2. Mang Inasal Edgar Sia II: The Man Behind Mang Inasal Sia s first taste of running a business was when he was 20 years old. It was at the Four Season Hotel, followed by Mister Labada, a Laundromat, then Injap Color Express, a photo developing shop. All these are based in Iloilo. Then he cooked up the idea of operating Mang Inasal, the specialty of which is grilled chicken. It started in 2003 when small town lad Edgar Sia II, then a 26 year old college dropout, grabbed a tiny spot in the parking lot of a mall, the site of an upcoming food hall. As a frequent customer of McDonald s and KFC, Sia knew what he d been missing in the fast food scene: Filipino style street fare served in a restaurant type setting. Before long customers were lining up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Currently, there are 445 branches nationwide and with over 10,000 employees system wide. MANG INASAL is doing its share in alleviating the unemployment burden of the country. The presence of every MANG INASAL in a certain area provides not only employment but also opportunities to community members including suppliers of kalamansi, charcoal, banana leaves, vegetables, bamboo sticks, and other ingredients. It also indirectly gives income generating activities to many. Mang Inasal s 2006 debut in Manila was awkwardly timed as it was in the midst of a rice shortage in the country. Sia s response was to offer a value meal of grilled chicken and unlimited rice for the equivalent of $2. This had already become an instant hit in Iloilo and Manila s budget conscious crowd took to it, too. The all you can eat campaign, which was supposed to last two months, became a permanent item on the menu. Today, Sia says, it s their most popular product. Manila alone has over 100 Mang Inasal outlets; 200,000 customers are served daily nationwide. Aiming to make his chain a national brand, Sia hit the road. He spent a year visiting over 70 cities in all. Today if we want to expand somewhere, I can say I ve been there, he says. (Mang Inasal is present in 68 cities.) * Mang Inasal Manila Corporate Office is located at 2316 Aurora Boulevard, Tramo St., Pasay City with fax number (02) 854 5692 and Landline (02) 854 3346. • 3. Three Day Road Wandering Windigo of the Wemistikoshiw The novel Three Day Road can be viewed as an explicit indicator as to the importance of sustaining cultural identity, and the consequences associated with its absence from any aspect of human life. The tale provides a salient setting through which this spiritual malfeasance is brought about, with much of its content consisting of the supremacy of the wemistikoshiw, or white man, over the Aboriginals in World War 1. The novel s European setting manifests the primary cause for the spiritual bankruptcy of Elijah Weesacheejak, one of the story s central figures and the novel s primary thematic microcosm. Influenced deeply by Western ideals, he is said to be a windigo which, as explained by the aboriginal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An objectivist to the core, Niska represents an archetype of cultural wisdom, as described by Joseph Boyden: I wanted her to be a strong woman who was doing this [being a woman of the bush] despite what everyone says about her and the toughness of her existence... (Wylie 229). Niska is exposed to the horrors of the world at an early age, witnessing events such as her father s murder of one of her fellow Cree gone windigo (Boyden 45). This coupled with her being used sexually by the Frenchman, who claimed to have ...fucked ahcahk, [her] spirit (174), out of lustful capitalism creates a perfect storm of familiarity with the human condition within her. Niska realizes that the man made society of the whites further pronounces the flaws of the human spirit, thereby differentiating between her culture and that of the wemistikoshiw. She explains this difference early on in the novel, by way of her epileptic visions: No one is safe in such times, not even the Cree of the Mushkegowuk. War touches everyone, and windigos spring from the earth (49). In order to prevent the mingling of Aboriginal and European lifestyles, she completely refuses to submit to the will of the wemistikoshiw, even when forced to live in one of their residential schools as a young girl. • 4. Articles Of Confederation Rhetorical Analysis One of the most important documents written in American history, the Articles of Confederation, was crucial to the foundation of American principles. However, there were many inherent flaws in its making, which were addressed by a few different leaders. The Articles of Confederation paved the way towards a successful country, but some of the problems would have sent the country backwards. One of these problems was that for an amendment to be made to the Articles, every state would have to agree, and Rhode Island never sent delegates to conventions to discuss these amendments. This meant that there could never be flexibility in the amendments even when necessary. This dilemma forced many elites of America to come together and completely rewrite ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 10 was one of the main factors that allowed for the ratification of the modern constitution and government system. Idealistically, Madison s ideas about government are possibly the best possible solution to the conflict of factions, yet in reality, Federalist No. 10 has been manipulated in ways that separate people more than unite them. While Madison is probably right in that republicanism is better than simply a popular democracy, his writing essentially did nothing but flip the party in power. Before, the power was held by the majority common people, which was bad because only their interests were being addressed, but after Madison wrote Federalist No. 10, the elite group was the group from which delegates were being elected. Madison was one of the property owners, and he feared that the common sort would prevent him from remaining in power so he had to switch the way the system worked. Through his rhetorical analysis he convinced the people that electing delegates was the way to go, and in the end only the members of the elite group were elected. He wanted a government that protected the rights of the rich property owners from the common sort and he was successful in doing so. He says a rage for paper money will hinder the abilities of those elected and therefore should not be. This prevented anyone who was poor from being elected. Now, Madison also makes the assumption that the people elected will somehow throw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Argument In Favor Of Animal Testing I doubt that anyone has ever heard of the dog named libby, who was rescued from a testing facility, run by the Professional laboratory and Research Services inc. This corporation ran test on a multitude of animals, no species was safe. All animals from dogs like libby, to cats , bunnies, rats and mice, and many others. Before libby was called libby, she was known by the number that was tattooed to her ear. She was sick with hook and tapeworms and had a multiple of infections. She was also locked in dark cages. And on top of all of that; Staff screamed obscenities and physically abused the animals in their care. This story is a fact of an animal testing facility, but it doesn t necessarily have to be. I believe that animal testing should be allowed, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Returning to the discussion of biofabrication, Me , not even being a professional scientist, can see the implication of bio fabricated tissues into such research. There are also studies going on, known as vitro methods, when they take certain human cells, and recreate them for testing. So test like irritation to the skin and other tissues could be tested on fabricated cells instead of having live animals suffer. That is an answer for tests which deal with the exterior such as cosmetic testing on animals. But how about advanced animal testing, such as research for cures for parkinson s , Alzheimer s, and others? I m sorry to say that I have found no such alternative of animal testing, other than human volunteers who have whatever they are trying to cure. For medical research towards cures for problems like mental diseases, animal testing, is somewhat of a need. It s very unrealistic to assume that there would be enough human volunteers to fully find a cure to mental illnesses, because most people, just want to be healed, with no ifs, ands, or buts. So animal research becomes relevant, when the demand is high. So when I say that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Persuasive Essay On International Human Trafficking For many people, slavery system has been an outdated word that only seems to exist in the history book. However, it is redefined in the modern society and replaced by a new term human trafficking , which is a serious challenge to the human rights, involving almost every country in the world. Besides, it is considered as the most evil and shameful crime in the human history. Every year, more than millions of innocent kids, men, women are kidnapped and sold to the other countries, forced to do prostitution, child soldiers or labors. However, limiting demand of this trafficked human market can be an effective solution by raising awareness and establishing mature employment standards. Recent research clearly illustrates the international human trafficking is still in an escalating trend and the predominant victims are female or girls who are robbed for sexual purpose. According to the report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2006), sexual exploitation contains 79% of all the forms of human trafficking crime. More specifically, in Europe, there are more than 140,000 innocent women who are trapped into a violent situation and one seventh of them are forced to involve into sexual activities. In general, those victims are suffering from physical and mental abusing and can hardly escape from the control of criminals because most of them are unfamiliar with the local language in the region and their passports have been taken away. Awww, It s nice to meet you Mr. Christmas Tree said Aubree. As the night came to an end all of the kids were in their pajamas, the stockings were hung to be filled, presents were placed under me, and cookies were waiting for Santa. Although you re not a survivor of one of the most horrific events in history, it does not mean you will have no feelings about it if you were to hear some stories. I call them stories because most books written of such detail are mere personal experiences and not factual, historical information. Speaking of personal experiences, I took the time to read a book about a man named Viktor Emil Frankl (26 March 1905 2 September 1997).¹ He was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a Holocaust survivor. The book is called Man s Search for Meaning , and I find it to be a truthful collection of anecdotes and philosophies. For ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Frankl trusted that in spite of the fact that the Nazi s could force much suffering on him, could rid of his family, and could detain him, they could not choose how he was. He had control over the way he would act, respond, and carry on. Regardless of what they did, he would choose his conduct and be in charge of it. My aim is neither to abridge the book for you, nor to clarify the ideas of existential treatment, so I will move here to my evaluation and reaction to Frankl s book. To start with, I need to repeat that this book is a superb read. For anybody new to the outrages of a death camp, the tale of human triumph even with such barbarities alone is justified regardless of the read. It also gives a rule to engage people to take liability for their life, and to make importance in it. It gives a model of living over the impact of condition. The initial stage is portrayed by the indication of shock. Frankl speaks of his entry via train at the notorious Auschwitz, when he and his kindred detainees underlying stun and frightfulness rapidly offered a path to the condition known as the delusion of reprieve , the conviction that they would be spared at last, that things couldn t be as horrendous as they appeared. Frankl portrays how, not for the last time, he sat tight for destiny to follow through to its logical end as the detainees proceeded remaining before a SS officer who coolly guided them toward the right, which implied they looked physically and ... In the poem My City by James Weldon Johnson there is self discussion about what he will truly miss once his journey on earth ends. He comes to the conclusion that what will truly be missed most, is his city . Johnson s use of sensory images, personification, choice of rhyme scheme and shift helped portray the importance that his city has had on him. Johnson s uses sensory images sparks our sense of sight, smell and sound by giving us a view into a few of the natural beauties his city has to offer such as; the sight of trees, the smell of flowers or the sound of the singing birds, and how each ... • 12. Semilunar Valves After atrioventricular valves closure, the pressure in the ventricles continues grows rapidly. Diastolic pressure in aorta is several times higher than in left atrium. The pressure in pulmonary artery is also higher than in right atrium. That is why between the closure of atrioventricular valves and opening of semilunar (aorta and pulmonary artery) some time passes, a moment, when pressure in the ventricles rapidly grows, but without expulsion and ventricles capacity does not change. Duration of this phase is comparable to the T1 duration. Semilunar valves open at the end of this phase. In some situations, the opening of pathologically changed valves of aorta and pulmonary artery goes along with audible expulsion tone (TO). After semilunar valves opening, blood flows into aorta and pulmonary artery. Normally, this is the fastest bloodstream during the whole cardiac cycle. For healthy people it may go along with a soft noise, which is audible in the middle of the systole, and often slightly shifted to T1. Just like pressure gradient, the volume of this noise grows at first, and then decreases. This is often normal. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A reservoir is a natural or artificial source of untreated water that can be found underground or at ground level that can include water treatment and associated equipment (pumps and piping systems).[1] There are three major watershed systems in which New York receives its water which are The Croton System, The Catskill System, The Delaware System. Further population increase and the expansion of New York City to include five boroughs amplified the need for more clean water circulation. In order to find new water sources the Board of Water Supply built facilities in four watersheds that is now known as the Catskill System (which includes the Ashokan Reservoir and Catskill Aqueduct). The Delaware System was fully constructed in 1944 which receives water from the Delaware River tributary. Located in current day New York Public Library there once housed one of NYC s main water supply systems called the Croton Reservoir (Murray hill reservoir). Built in 1842 in a style of an Egyptian Cornice it had an area of four acres and held a capacity of 20 million gallons. • 14. Obesity Is A Major Issue That Our Country Faces Today I chose to write about a cartoon from Times Magazine that focuses on Obesity in America by Joe Heller. Obesity is a major issue that our country faces today. After analyzing this cartoon I wanted to further my understandings to what it meant. In this article we see that the American Medical Association (AMA) is a main variable. They stated that moderately overweight people live longer . That is a bold statement and what I want to know is does having extra body fat really allow you to live longer? The Journal of the American Medical Association researchers say that being overweight may lead a longer life. Their conclusion to this comes from detailed review from over 100 previous published research papers that have joined body weight and morality. This confirms that obese people (particularly those who are extremely obese) tend to die earlier than those who are at a healthy weight. Their findings argue that people who are overweight but are not obese may live longer than people with clinically normal body weight. This cartoon takes place in a gym, and based on the sign on the wall that says New Year s Resolution, Weight Loss Class I am guessing that it is taking place in the beginning of the year. • 15. Differences Between Superman And Superman, Television And... Cloaked in red and blue, Superman soars above Metropolis. Well known to the public, he is strong, kind, humble and in love with Lois Lane. Then he gets to work. He puts on some glasses, and he becomes Clark Kent, a mild mannered reporter. According to the public, his relationship with Louis is platonic. Despite being the same person, depending on who you ask, they will give you a very different description of just one man. The real difference between Superman and Clark Kent isn t a disguise, but the social context in which he is seen. Much the same as Superman, people can have multiple identities, or frames of themselves, each coming out in a specific social context. With social media, these different identities can be created and thrive. On public platforms, the ideal side of a person is shown, along with their close relationships, but on private sites, they don t have to worry about dealing with the pressure from others. To put simply, whether you see Superman or Clark Kent, depends on who is watching him, so it can be argued that the amount of privacy a user has on a social media platform, greatly impacts how they display themselves, and their relationships on said platform as well. Overall, some of the most popular social media platforms are public ones, such as Facebook and Instagram. Although these sites have different features, one similarity between them is how they can be used to enforce gender norms . Public sites often involve the user posting photos and ... • 16. Prayer By Thomas Keating, Contemplative Prayer Introduction According to Thomas Keating, Contemplative prayer is a conversation initiated by God and leading, if we consent to a divine union. It is the way to pure faith. Unlike with vocal prayers, in which we call out to God asking for things we need, with contemplative prayer our role is to allow God to be God. In other words, God directs Contemplative prayer, His grace opens our hearts and minds to the His presence inside us. Consequently, contemplative prayer begins with a centering prayer, which is a silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. Keating noted that, Centering prayer is an effort to renew the teaching of the Christian tradition of contemplative prayer. Similar to other methods of prayer, the foundation of centering prayer is the Triune God. Keating noted that, The practice is based on the wisdom saying of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. The scripture reads, But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you (Matt. 6:6). Practicing contemplative prayer will strengthen our spiritual commitment and enrich our personal lives. I will discuss the origin, methods and benefits of contemplative prayer. Designing A New Design For A Distributed Operating System As the Chief Information Officer working in my business, I will be proposing a new design for the current network to attempt to improve the quality and productivity of 250 client computers and 50 servers. My first decision would be to opt to change the system to a distributed operating system (DOS). I would choose this course of action because instead of centralizing all the resources on one server, which could lead to problems in the event of a hardware failure, you could distribute them across multiple instances decreasing the likelihood of system outages, and making errors easier to deal with ( Definition of Distributed n.d). Although this model will be much more expensive to implement, I believe that it will lead to better growth in the future. The reliability of the network will be increased, which leaves room for improvement, adding more client systems, or even servers. Updating the operating system to a distributed operating system will increase the overall size and reliability of the database for subscribers to use. The current server operating system would be Windows Server 2003. I d make minor changes to the server operating system upgrading to a later version like 2008 or 2012. I chose Windows over Linux, MAC, and other server OS because I think its performance is suitable for this type of environment. Windows itself has a high support for most functions (Janowski, 2003). PSA Levels PSA has a half life of 2.2 days and elevated levels vary in recovery depending on the cause of the elevation PSA elevation may precede clinical cancer by 5 10 years. Specificity PSA is organ specific, not cancer specific. Divorce Is A Win And A Loss For Parents And Children Divorce is a Win and a Loss for Parents and Children The divorce rate in today s society according to Barbara Dafoe Whitehead is higher than ever. Although people have a legal right to file for divorce, it is still viewed as an ethical problem. Barbara Dafoe Whitehead writes in The Making of a Divorce Culture , that divorce has become an ethical problem in the United States. In today s society, divorce is viewed as a social norm, and that couples should have a right to file for divorce with no stigma. Although Whitehead argues that divorce is an ethical issue, she also shows reasons why couples should carefully think of filing for divorce before making a final decision such as their children s consideration. Whitehead successfully presents the divorce culture as a very serious ethical problem by giving ideas of why parents are getting divorced, and how their children can be effected by it. Although divorce is viewed as an ethical problem, people still have the right to file for a divorce if it is for their own satisfaction. We never know what happens behind closed doors between a couple, and what types of issues they are going through. Whitehead mentions in her article about how abusive and how demolorizing some relationships can be. The multiple problems people go through in this play help us understand that humans can suffer without a loving and stable family. In Shakespeare s view he s saying how family matters in this play and what they go through to find their family again is meaningful, people will do anything to find their family again. Egeon, Antipholus of Syrcause and Aemilia want to find their family again. The tragedy, isolation and misunderstandings the characters go ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He s saying that fixing broken bonds shows that love can fix any tragedy, misunderstanding and isolation within this play. Shakespeare made it so Egeon was searching for his family for five summer lands in Ephesus, where his family got lost in. He also makes it so Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse search to find their family when he turns eighteen. Their devotion of searching for loved ones was so strong that they ended up in Ephesus. The determination shows us that Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse and Egeon didn t give up finding their family, they kept searching for years. Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse and Egeon ending up in Ephesus was the first step to finding their family, they started on the right path. The quest they are seeking was influenced with love and devotion. Shakespeare uses Antipholus of Ephesus not knowing about his twin brother an advantage so the play has some problems. • 32. Structure Of Calvin s Soteriology Essay II. union with Christ i. Structure of Calvin s soteriology in Book III in light of Union with Christ In Book III which is his soteriology, Calvin starts the work of Holy Spirit by introducing Union with Christ as the mechanism which connects the work of Christ and it s targeting object, the believer. In fact, Union with Christ acts as a sub motif running through entire Book III. In the first three chapters, Calvin unfolds this union which is a description of a certain relationship first founded by the secret energy of the Spirit and resulting in the faith in the believer. In the end of Book III, Calvin concludes the goal of the work of the Holy Spirit through union is to bring union with God to those who have faith in Christ and therefore are grounded by this union with Christ in the final resurrection. And in between, Calvin explains at length that what happen in this relationship is the double grace, sanctification and justification, in which defines that salvation must consist of human recognition in the light of the work of the Holy Spirit. In the following chapter, I will first discuss how the humanity of Christ relate to our union with Christ from the soteriological perspective. And the next chapter will move the loci to the transition from union with Christ to the communion with God in light of the humanity of Christ. Finally, I will try to provide the eschatological perspective of the humanity of Christ in our communion with God and to conclude that why it is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Ed Fletcher s Response To The Message Ed Fletcher was one of the creators of the song The Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, which was released in 1982. This song depicted a horrible scene of blacks living in the ghettos, which was relevant socially because of the issue of racism that was being addressed, and had been an issue for a long time. Although the book didn t mention much about his personal life, as a black man it is obvious why he would want to create a song that addresses racism towards blacks. The Message takes the approach of describing the awful treatment that people living in the ghettos were receiving, which was particularly relevant to the artists who created the song, like Ed Fletcher as I just mentioned, because they were all blacks who had likely experienced this situation. The lyrics used in the song, such as Got no money to move out, I guess I got no choice, Rats in the front room, roaches in the back, Junkies in the alley with a baseball bat aid in connecting with the listener s sympathy for those who experience this, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This song talks about someone coming home from the war who wasn t treated very well. They lyrics are very straightforward, depicting a story through words such as, Got in a little hometown jam, so they put a rifle in my hand; Sent me off to a foreign land to go and kill the yellow man (Google). What s particularly ironic about this is that a lot of people thought that the song was very patriotic, even though it s lyrics clearly state the opposite. One reason the book suggested this might have been so was because people might not have even been listening to the lyrics, hence weakening the impact of his message. One reason why Springsteen might have created this song was because although he didn t have this experience himself, a lot of people his age had come home from the war not long before and received this rough ... • 35. Nobody s Son Is The Winner Of The American Book And... Nobody s son is the winner of the American book and translated around the world. Luis Alberto Urrea is the author. He wrote several categories of books. He is a member of the Latino Literature Hall of Fame. When he was a child, he lived in neighbor where there was racial discrimination. His mom was a segregationist, so she abandoned him to live with his father. His father wanted to teach him to be a real man. However, his instructions were too aggressive. Therefore, learning something quickly from critical situations, forcing kids to do some dislikes to stop crying, enhancing patience from facing injuries, and being a bad model for kids are too offensive to instruct kids to be a real man. To instruct children to be able to do something rapidly by practicing in a dangerous situation does not mean to be a real man. Parents might let their children learn how to train some abilities by themselves, but parents should not teach their children in a dangerous situation because children cannot help themselves yet. For instance, Luis s dad teaches him how to ride a bike like a real man. He removes training wheels and tells Luis to ride a bike on the road, which many cars are driving. Luis falls down on the road with blood on his arm, and a driver honks a horn. This might be Luis s luckiness that the car does not hit him. A critical situation cannot prove to be a real man. His father may misunderstand that practicing in a terrible situation is what a real man ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Analysis Of Girl By Jamaica Kincaid Society has created in their minds the way a woman is supposed to act and the things they are allowed to do. In Jamaica Kincaid s Girl , we see a young woman being forced to live by the likeness of the society in which she dwells. Although this is not the life she wants to live, she has no other choice than to become the woman she was made to be. Throughout time the relationship between mothers and daughters have changed. Many mothers hold on to the old fashioned opinion of what a woman should be and many older women feel that a women s true role in life is to be domesticated. This idea of a woman s place in the home is being reinforced throughout Kincaid s short story. The mother in the story is telling her young daughter the ways things should be done. Wash the white clothes on Monday and put them on the stone heap; wash the colored clothes on Tuesday and put them on the clothesline to dry. She further goes on to describe other household chores and how they should be correctly done. This is how you sweep a corner. She tells her daughter how to set a table for different meals, how to cook things, and even how to pick out bread. Unfortunately, though, the story doesn t tell a woman how to have a successful career, to go to college, or how to work outside of the home. In those days women were expected to stay at home while their husband s go out to work and make all the money. Even if they tried, they were not allowed to go outside the way society made them to be and this mother is trying to raise her young daughter the same way she was raised which is to be a house wife. Even though the girl says nothing in the story, she is building resentment towards her mother because she feels that she should be allowed to make her own decision on whether to be domesticated. Throughout the story never did the mother once stop to get her daughter s input on the issues, she just simply tells her daughter that she has no other choice but to be domesticated and there is no way of changing it. She tells the daughter how to act, how to dress, how to talk, and even how to walk. Always eat your food in a way that it won t turn someone else s stomach...On Sundays try to walk like a lady and not like the slut that you are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
