If Mommy Was Breastfeed Essay
If Mommy is sick, can she breastfeed?
When you are sick, you and your baby will almost always benefit from continuing to breastfeed. There
are very few illnesses that require a mother to stop nursing.
Since most illnesses are caused by viruses that are most contagious before you even realize you are
sick, your baby has already been exposed before you even develop symptoms (such as fever, diarrhea,
vomiting, rash, runny nose, cough, etc). Continuing to breastfeed will help protect your baby from the
infection, because your body produces antibodies to the specific organism that is causing the infection,
and you pass them on to the baby in your breast milk. Often, a breastfed baby will be the only member
of the family who doesn t get sick. If ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you are diabetic, breastfeeding offers many advantages. It reduces your stress level, reduces the risk
of the baby developing diabetes
Mothers with epilepsy can nurse. The medications needed to control the seizures may cause sedation
and poor sucking in your baby.
Thyroid levels can change during pregnancy and lactation, even with mothers who never had thyroid
irregularities before.
An underactive thyroid can cause fatigue, poor appetite, and depression. Thyroid supplements taken
during lactation will not hurt your baby. An overactive thyroid can cause serious health problems. If
radioactive therapy is recommended, temporary weaning may be necessary. Keep in mind that all of
the OTC medications approved for use in nursing mothers are very safe, and in nearly all cases, the
risk of side effects on your baby is extremely small. You are not going to hurt your baby. Remember
all the advantages of human milk and how important breastfeeding is to you and your baby, and try to
find a supportive health care provider who believes that nursing is as important as you

Multiple Outcomes Of Multiple Pregnancy
Multiple Pregnancy Multiple pregnancy is a pregnancy with more than one baby in mom s uterus,
such as twins, triplets or quadruplets. According to the American College of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists, the highest rate of multiple pregnancy was in the years between 1980 and 2008, due to
use of fertility treatments and childbearing among women older than 35 years (Multiple Pregnancy,
2015). The causes of multiple pregnancies are race, gene, age (pregnancy after age of thirty), use of
fertility stimulating drugs and in vitro fertilization (Multiple Pregnancy and Birth: Twins, Triplets, and
High order Multiples ). Caring more than one baby is considered high risk pregnancy, because of the
many complications that may occur during the periods of pregnancy, labor and postpartum for the
women s and baby s health. This kind of pregnancy requires multiple doctors visits and exams, bed
rest, and in most cases end with premature delivered babies through Cesarean section.
Complications on Mom s Health There are many possible problems that may occur in pregnancy with
more than one baby. The risk of developing of some kind of complications is two times greater than in
pregnancy with one baby. The most dangerous for the mom are bleeding during third trimester,
preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, Iron deficiency Anemia, and postpartum hemorrhage (Being
pregnant with twins, triplets and other multiples , 2015). Preeclampsia is developing of high blood
pressure, which can impair the

Essay on Mongolian Management
The Mongolian Empire quickly conquered monumental sums of land in only a relatively small amount
of time, but their serious challenge was figuring out a way to govern and maintain the newly acquired
land. Genghis Khan united the Mongols and with their superior military skills, they toppled the
governments of surrounding nations and captured their lands. The Mongols who occupied each
subjected nation ruled the people and installed different government systems that fit their liking. The
Golden Horde, those who conquered the land of modern day Russia, decided to tax their subjects and
refuse to coexist with them. The Mongols in Persia created the Ilkhanate of Persia, where the nomads

1355 and 1357 but died shortly thereafter.
Those under the rule of the Horde seized the opportunity and revolted, sacking Moscow in 1380. After
many twists and turns of battle, Egidu reclaimed Moscow, but the Horde was fragmenting too quickly
and a defect nation, Crimea, finished it off. The Mongols were very prosperous during the time when
they ruled due to their vassal relationship with the princes, but fell when the princes realized their
strength over the Horde. The Ilkhanate of Persia facilitated a mix of the native people and the Mongols

decisions through the Khanate. When the Mongols conquered Persia, they settled among the cities and

Technology And Its Impact On The Classroom Essay
Progression, the ever enduring race of humankind to becoming better and more advanced beings, has
become interwoven with technology, as nearly all aspects of one s life, whether it being at home, for
leisure, at work, or in the educational sector is entwined with elements of digitality. This notion leads
one to see that the participation with technologies can be an essential aspect of one s progression in
this new contemporary society. The emergence and subsequent dominance of Information
Communication Technology (ICT) in this digitally mediated world has led to the need for digital
education in schools, which in turn can bring both potentials and challenges in divergent school
settings, as digital literacies bring differing values and meanings in relation to the setting they are
situated in. Transitioning from old to new literacies; digital literacy as a socially imbued construct;
digital divide; ICT out of school; educators and ICT; and implementing ICT in the classroom will be
discussed in order to extricate both the potentials and challenges with the immersion of digital
literacies in education.
Transitioning from Old to New Literacies
Over the years, as with most things, literacy too, has changed, transformed and progressed into a more
complex and nuanced construct. In the past, old literacies chiefly utilised alphabetic literacy, as its
main tool, such as the printing press, having ... privileged the written language over all other forms of

What Are The Factors That Affect Eating Healthy
If I had to be honest, I have always known that my eating habits could use some work. I do not eat
enough foods that are nutrient dense, and I consume too many fats. However, this also reminds me
that I have improved my habits a little. For example, Before I started college and really started this
journey towards healthy living I could have easily eaten a whole Hershey s chocolate bar, but instead I
only ate a half, and that half was not in one whole sitting. Another example is related to the items I had
for breakfast. Usually, I would get the tater tots that serve with breakfast, but I chose to get an apple
instead because I knew it would be healthier for me. With this said, I do not eat breakfast on a regular
basis. I am good about eating lunch and dinner, but I have a bad habit of not getting a meal first thing
in the morning. While I may not eat three meals a day, I do not snack that often. There will be some
days that I will have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My parents did buy healthy foods throughout my child, but they would do so when it lined up with
their goals of eating healthy and exercising. However, eating healthy was not a common occurrence,
and has lead to me not eating healthy all the time. Another factor that has affected my eating habits is
my stress because as a student I am under a lot of stress. Between studying, reading, and classes there
is a lot to deal with. When I am stressed, I usually want to eat something that reminds of home and is
simple, but also translates into something unhealthy. The biggest factor related to my eating habits is
simply being in college. Stress is related to that, but being in college itself is a factor since I have little
control over what I eat. I can make decisions about what to eat based on what is available. However,
what is available is not always good which makes it difficult to eat food that is both healthy and

Behavioral Finance And Its Effects On The Economy
Introduction
Throughout the history of finance mankind has devised various ways to predict future costs, price
changes, changes in supply and demand, and changes to bond and stock prices. We ve created
sophisticated models and formulas to help us make financial decisions. Although, we can t always
prepare for the inevitable depression, inflation, stock bubble bursts, long or short term shocks to the
economy, and changes in taste, we can try our best to protect ourselves financially from our own
irrational behavior and decisions when it comes to finance. With our sophisticated technology shouldn
t everyone generally come to the same conclusion when it comes to changes in the stock or bond
market? What causes people to act differently to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also discusses that how there is enough data to prove that being rational at all times with accurate
evidence isn t realistic. You can still make a rational decision, but suffer from a loss. You can make an
irrational decision and receive a profit. We can t predict the future.
Conventional Finance Many finance specialist use conventional finance to assist them with
determining and analyzing stock performance. According to Albert Phung s article on Investopedia
titled Behavioral Finance Background many models have been created from conventional finance
such as the Capital Asset Pricing Model and the Efficient Market Hypothesis. This section describes
why behavioral finance should have a more active role in finance. This article states academics in both
finance and economics started to find anomalies and behaviors that couldn t be explained by theories
available at the time. While these theories could explain certain idealized events, the real world proved
to be a very messy place in which market participants often behaved very unpredictably (Phung,
2014). Conventional and behavioral finance is compared to one another throughout this article. Phung
states that behavioral finance is designed to explain our actions, while conventional finance is
designed to explain the actions of the wealth maximizers , otherwise known as the

There are several committees that are responsible for the overall quality at Metro Health. The Joint
Conference Committee (JCC) and the Medical Executive Committee (MEC) both report to the Metro
Health Board of Directors (Carlson, 2014, p. 5). The JCC is an advisory committee and serves as a
liaison between the MEC and the Metro Health Board of Directors (Carlson, 2014, p. 5). The MEC is
responsible for medical staff and patient care (Carlson, 2014, p. 5). After the top management level,
the quality improvement process continues to the subcommittees that look into different aspects of
quality management (Carlson, 2014, p. 8). For example, the Infection Prevention Committee looks
into quality management aspects regarding the prevention of infections (Carlson, 2014, p. 8). Each
department at Metro Health has members on the subcommittees as well. Finally, each department has
the Unit Based Council (UBC), where all quality improvement projects are reviewed.
Quality Improvement Projects: Selection, Methodology and Management
Quality improvement projects are selected, managed, and monitored based on a priority basis (L.
Blumenstein, personal communication, May 23, 2015). Generally, the priority of the project is related
to what is happening within the organization or in response to an occurrence (L. Blumenstein,

Advantages Of Congestion Pricing
Congestion pricing is a particular type of road pricing where variable fees are charged with an explicit
purpose to reduce congestion (Litman, 2007). It is a method of harnessing the power of the market to
reduce the waste associated with traffic congestion and it uses market forces to allocate limited facility
capacity among users by their need to travel and their willingness to pay (TCRP, 2003). Congestion
pricing is also known as congestion charging, value pricing, variable road pricing, or pricing peak
period pricing. Congestion pricing works by shifting purely discretionary rush hour highway travel to
other transportation modes or to off peak periods. Congestion can be reduced by the concept involves
charging more for the right to use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means increasing prices during certain periods of time or at the places where congestion occurs
or introducing a new usage tax or charge when peak demand exceeds available supply in the case of a
tax funded public good provided free at the point of usage. According to the economic theory behind
congestion pricing, the aim of this policy is to use the price mechanism to make users more aware of
the costs that they impose upon one another when consuming during the peak demand. In this case,
they should pay for the additional congestion they create, thus encouraging the redistribution of the
demand in space or in time (Button, 1993) or shifting it to the consumption of a substitute public
good, for instance, switching from private transport to public transport (Small Verhoef, 2007). This
pricing mechanism has been used in several public utilities and public services for setting higher
prices during congested periods. This is a method to better manage the demand for the service to avoid
expensive new investments just to satisfy peak demand. This is also a useful way when it is not
economically or financially feasible to provide additional capacity to the

ur in the forearm region. It is composed in crosses of axons which may produce changes in the
innervations of the upper limb muscles, mainly motor part of intrinsic muscles in the hand
(MANNERFELT, 1966; KIMURA, MURPHY and VARDA, 1976). Anastomosis in which the branch
anastomotic originates proximally in the median nerve and unites distally in the ulnar nerve is known
as Median
Ulnar anastomosis type or Martin Gruber anastomosis.
Martin, a Swedish anatomist, in 1763 was the first one to consider the possibility of connection
between the fascicles of the median and ulnar nerves in the forearm (MARTIN,
1763). In the following century, in 1870, Gruber dissected
250 forearms and found 38 connections (GRUBER, 1870)
(15.2%), thenceforth, anastomosis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It can arise between the branches destined to the deep flexor muscle of the fingers, or directly in the
median to the ulnar nerve, or between the anterior interosseous and ulnar nerves or in combinations
between these types of anastomoses
(NAKASHIMA, 1993).
However, another type of anastomosis can happen in the forearm. When the anastomotic branch
originates proximally in ulnar nerve and unites distally to median nerve is simply called anastomosis
of Median Ulnar type, or Martin Gruber reverse anastomosis or Marinacci anastomosis. Marinacci in
1964 made a case report of a patient who traumatized the medium nerve in forearm, but still had
preservation of the median nerve innervations in the hand muscles, although had denervation of the
flexor muscles in forearm (MARINACCI,
1964). The Marinacci anastomosis is infrequently notified.
In some studies this type of anastomosis had not been found, being considered for many authors as
anatomical anomaly.
The occurrence of the Martin Gruber or Marinacci anastomoses can be understand by the fact that the
median and ulnar nerves were developed from a similar embryonic region (ALMEIDA, VITTI and
GARBINO,
1999). In addition, there are studies with high incidence

But where the story began to take a turn was when Marla, the woman that he met in the support

when Tyler took the initiative to go to her apartment where he becomes her coping mechanism by

they Marla and Tyler remind him of his parent because he never sees them in the same place at once.
The only time that they spent in the same room was during sexual intercourse. He narrator was jealous
because of the way he felt for Marla, but just too afraid to express it because she was already sleeping

everything was always was done together. Everything that needed to be expressed came from Tyler as
if he was speaking for him (Edward). But then became the recruiting of their members from the fight

In the video The Confessions presented by Frontline, a murder of a women that was committed by one
man, quickly resulted into a false gang murder rape scene committed by eight men. The victim,
Michelle Bosko, was seen to be raped and killed in her apartment in Norfolk, Virginia. From the
video, it has been proven that seven out of the eight men that confessed were innocent, but somehow
they all received an unequal punishment. Because the innocent men admitted to a murder that they
didn t commit out of fear, they were all sentenced to some time in prison. The head detective, Glenn
Ford, intimidated the men so much that they either were convinced that they were at the crime scene
or they told him every detail that he wanted to hear. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fact that Ford had to men so afraid disturbs me because I never knew that someone could make up
an entire lie of something that never happened. But because they are afraid, they are able to picture
themselves in a crime scene that they were nowhere near. Though the results of the lie detector tests
that were taken by all of the men were never explained or read to them, the police made the men think
that they failed the polygraph test even though they passed it. In a recent interview that Ballard gave
from prison, he tells Frontline that he committed the murder all by himself and that he understands
why the men committed to a murder that they didn t commit. He understood that he men confessed out
of fear and said anything just so that Ford would get out of their faces. Even after the murder and the
men were seem as not guilty, they still had to face circumstances in their outside worlds. The men
were now considered as sex offenders and it was hard for them to get a good job because of their
background. Every year, the men have to register as a sex offender due to the fact that they gave false
confessions out of intimidation. At the end however, Glenn Ford was indicted for receiving money
from defendants in exchange for a better treatment in prison. Although the men didn t get the justice
they needed right away, their lawyers were not finished with the case and they were soon to get them
the justice that they deserved. In conclusion, this video

The Stereotypes Of Hope Leslie By Catharine Sedgwick And...
The encounters with Native Americans are a significant aspect of the literature of the Early
Americans. We can learn about both parties through the constant stereotypes against the Native
Americans by white people. These stereotypes impacted the culture of society for future generations
by making it look as though all Indians are bad people with bad intentions. For example, the attempt
to bring out the inner savagery of the Indian culture. There are many stereotypes for example, the
conversion of Indians to another culture and forcing them to recognize the white culture as the
dominant culture over their native one. They had small chances of being accepted by either society
that they were born into or apart of. Finally, the miscegenation between Native Americans and white
people, or the intermarriage between cultures. The two texts that I will be using to elaborate on this
topic are, Hope Leslie by Catharine Sedgwick and Edgar Huntly by Charles Brockden Brown. The
stereotypes of Native Americans in Early American literature have left an everlasting influence on the
American culture. The main theme in most of these stories try to bring out the inner savagery of the
Indian culture which is the most obvious stereotype seen in them. In Edgar Huntly, this is seen the
most in numerous occasions throughout the book. When Edgar, the main character was very young his
parents were killed by Indians and ever since then he had been afraid of them. Although this soon

The Allisons In The Summer People By Shirley Jackson
The prompt I have chosen is, In the story The Summer People, The Allisons believe that the locals (the
Country People) are harassing them because of their decision to stay at the cottage past Labor Day. Do
you believe the locals are actually doing this or do you believe the Allisons are simply paranoid and
imagining this? Please respond in a concise, well written three paragraph essay with specific examples
and textual evidence from the text to support your answer.
In Shirley Jackson s short story, The Summer People the Allisons decided to stay at their summer
cottage past labor day. This decision, however may not have been for the best. After making this
decision the Allisons began to become paranoid as things started to not go their way. First of all the
townspeople began to question them as to why they wanted to stay. They informed them that no one
had ever stayed past Labor Day. The Allisons also had to deal with the fact they could no longer buy
kerosene or have their groceries delivered as they had during the summer months. They also received
an interesting letter from their son that left them feeling confused and a bit concerned because it did
not sound like their son s writing. Lastly they had things in their house that were braking such as their
phone. Their car also had somehow broken and was no longer functioning. All of these occurrences
startled the Allison. They couldn t understand how they had been able to live so peacefully in their
cottage all summer

off the story the guildsmen were somewhere around there mid 40 s also they were still members of the
working people. Even though they worked a lot they still keep up with the latest fashion with the

(pg. 154 which avouches a display on girdles and on pouches). Also the Guildsmen sat on top of their
horses different than everybody else, because of the entitlement of being a part of a union making the
guildsmen feel like they re better than others around them. They sat with their back straight, eyes

Carmen Opera Sparknotes
The original Carmen opera was set in Spain and was about the defeat of a soldier who was seduced by
the intensity of the gypsy known as Carmen. After he deserts his long time love and quits his military

kills her in a jealous rage. Ramaka was able to adapt this renowned play and transform it into one that
politically targets and addresses post colonial issues in Senegal such as: government corruption, the

that the government in Senegal has taken public resources for person gain. It principally follows the

By making Karmen such a strong character, Ramaka transforms her into something larger than life
almost mythical, like Ramatou from Hyenas. The main difference about Karmen compared to other
strong female characters from the films that we have watched, is her sexuality. Her mother is a strong
female character, as is apparent from the immense amount of respect that people have from her; such
as when the mother tells off the police and everyone stands by her side and work to get kick out the
cops. The other women seem to see her as some type of idol or hero. I am assuming this is because
Karmen does everything we only wish we could do (as was mentioned by one of the translators in
class). Women look up to her; especially due to the face that pride, dignity, and beauty are all traits
that are greatly admired in Senegal. Interestingly, Karmen is in no ways unaware of this bold quality
of hers, but she is also not arrogant about it. This became apparent when she said I m no more women

Nuclear, Coal, Natural Gas, And Solar
Nuclear, coal, natural gas, and solar. These four are known for being the major sources of energy. All
have pros and cons that are pretty much well known. Solar is renewable but expensive. Natural gas is
cheap but damages the environment. Nuclear has a large power generating capacity but is dangerous
and coal abundant and cheap but is just too dirty. What if there was a fifth type of fuel? A so called
invisible fuel. The cheapest and cleanest energy choice that is often over looked, efficiency. An article
in The Economist by Chris Madden reviews and discusses this invisible fuel at length. The article
begins by discussing the strives that have been made regarding efficiency since the 1970 s but
mentions that there is still significant improvements that can be made. It mentions a report by the
American Energy Efficiency Group that reviews the cost of saving a kilowatt hour vs the cost of
producing a kilowatt hour. The report states that in some cases saving a kilowatt hour can cost as low
as one sixth of a cent. According to the article, the single largest chunk of energy consumption is in
the heating and cooling of buildings. This amounts to 31% of total final energy consumption. It
mentions a man named Mr. Liebreich who had difficulty findings builders who were skilled in energy
savings techniques. He had to follow them around to ensure they were properly taping the insulating
boards and follow other energy saving techniques. Mr. Liebreich is not

Aristotle s Six Elements Of Drama Essay
In the popular sitcom TV series Friends (1994 2010), has displayed all of Aristotle s six important
elements throughout the show that were required for the drama. The main plot of the show is
revolving around six best friends living together in Manhattan, and following up with their everyday
personal and professional lives. Throughout the show, all six elements of drama are being taken place
in the modern series showing that regardless of small changes here and there, there are still
connections back to Aristotle s view.
Aristotle s first element is Plot which requires to have the whole, complete, and magnitude. In the first
episode of season 1: The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate, the storyline starts out with Monica
meeting her old high school best friend Rachel. And since Rachel was having some personal life
problems, she ends up moving in with Monica and stays as her best friend till the end of the show. The
whole of the show is Monica and Rachel s relationship from the beginning till the end has stayed the
same. Although eventually Rachel had to move out of Monica s apartment, their friendship still
continued on and is considered to be stronger compared to the beginning of their meeting. The
complete which is also known as the unity of action was displayed because when the two girls were
having problems, both were able to solve and help out each other. They were able to put each other as
their main priority and showing each other the attention they need. And the magnitude is absolutely
present because although it was quite abrupt with Rachel is moving in with Monica, but as the story
went on. Everything was relevant to all the other characters: Chandler, Joey, Ross, and Phoebe. Which
show the whole purpose of the show, friends are meant to stay together till the end, even though they
all had problems with one another at one certain point, but were still able to move past and have a
stronger, inseparable bond throughout the whole sitcom series.
The second element is Character and each of the characters have displayed moral goodness, true to
life, and had a consistent appearance throughout the show. The first character is Monica Geller, who is
known to be the mom of the group. She has always provided

Adoption In Haiti
Haiti Case
In January 2010, Haiti was struck by a massive earthquake, killing thousands of people and
misplacing hundreds.20 A disaster of this kind often leads to the separation of a large group of people
within a community including separating parents from children. In the desolation, chaos and
widespread panic followed, a surge in child exploitation and trafficking was inevitable just as it was
after for the 2004 Indonesia tsunami and how it is constantly happening in Guatemala.21 22 In the 1st
two months, children were pooched by greedy westernized vultures without checking if they had any
living relatives and the proper documentations.21 22 Just a few days after the catastrophe, children
were already in the final stages of adoption and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is not only the involvement of two families but two countries. I think before any international
adoption should proceed, the adoptive parents must make the effort to know the child s homeland.
They must also demonstrate that they are willing to protect the rights of the child against any threat. I
think in that way the child won t lose part of his cultural and ethnic identity. The sending country
should make sure the international adoption is the last option after visiting the other options such as
extended families that might be able to take care of the child or orphanage agencies or even domestic
adoption. Only after these options have been exhausted, only then international adoption should be
considered. Once it is done, they need to assure the child is guaranteed to have a better future. I don t
think it should stop at a simple background check or to check if the adopters are good citizens. It
should go beyond that; like take for instance the case of Carleton Gajdusek; he was an extraordinary
scientist and he received a Nobel prize for his research. Given his background and how he was
perceived in society, Gajdusek was given the opportunity to bring back with him in the US 56 children
from New Guinea. Parents trusted the scientist and believe that he will offer those kids a higher
education. However, he was later accused of molesting those kids. Shouldn t this be a lesson to
society? Therefore, I

Blanche Dubois Intrigue
Performance I performed the excerpt by putting on a softer and lower voice to resemble Blanche s,
and also moved my arms around to show my character s deep distress. Analysis of Excerpt Blanche
explains her difficulties in life through an idea which pairs softness with attractiveness. She portrays
herself as a victim of the demands that the weak be attractive. But the truth is that the abuse and
complexities of life have forced Blanche to toughen up. Her use of the phrase turn the trick is a
significant line in the excerpt, being an old idiom implying promiscuous relationships. Here she is
referring to her dark and shameful incidents that occurred after her husband s death, which she kept
hidden from Stella. Tennessee Williams uses symbolism and imagery to help convey the idea that
Blanche is deceptive, egotistical and seductive. For example, wearing a white dress in this scene
deceives people of being innocent and pure. As Blanche feels she must be devious in order to

This essay explores the mutually beneficial commercial collaborations between the tobacco companies
and major motion picture studios from the late 1920s through the 1940s.
Smoking in movies is associated with adolescent and young adult smoking initiation. Public health
efforts to eliminate smoking from films accessible to youth have been countered by defenders of the
status quo, who associate tobacco imagery in classic movies with artistry and nostalgia.
Both the entertainment and tobacco industries recognised the high value of promotion of tobacco
through entertainment media.

Product and brand exposure in films is the result of paid product placement, the provision of free
products as props, or personal use by actors. Product placement implies a mutually beneficial
relationship between the filmmaker and the manufacturer of the product. Initial contact may be made
by the filmmaker seeking to reduce costs, increase income, and provide realism or it may be made by
product placement firms seeking product exposure for companies they represent. Product placement
firms have evolved over the last two decades to broker relationships between filmmakers and
corporations. The usual procedure is for the product placement firm to receive scripts in advance of
production from filmmakers and review the scripts for the possible use of products they represent.
Normally this involves substituting a specific brand for a generic brand that is, instead of John meets
Mary at a coffeehouse , John might meet Mary at Curt s Coffee. The integrity of the script is
maintained, a touch of realism is provided, the filmmaker has an existing location for filming, and
Curt s Coffee receives extensive free exposure. The film cast and crew may also receive free lattes and
muffins and possibly Curt s Coffee mugs. The product placement firm receives its fee for making the
placement, and everyone connected with making the film wins.
While the tobacco industry has routinely denied active involvement in

Uk Multi-Party System Analysis
Previously the UK has been criticised for having a two party system since the 1990s. This means that
the voting system of First Past the Post favours two parties, these being Labour and Conservatives.
However, it has now been challenged that the two party system is in decline and the UK is moving to
a Multi party system. A multi party system is a system in which multiple political parties across the
political board run for national election, and all have the capacity to gain control of government

As web technology usage increase for businesses so does the need for security. Our web presence here
at Information Assurance is very important to the growth of the business. Our webservers are a crucial
element of our web infrastructure and a single vulnerability can lead to a security breach which can

We must keep this interaction safe and secure so we don t face the same issues we suffered from in

Attackers abuse vulnerabilities within the software of webservers to compromise our website security.
We have network security measures in place such as our firewall but we still need to strengthen our

Kendrick Lamar has lyrics that are hard, but within those lyrics is a description of his childhood which
was even harder. To provide some background on Kendrick Lamar, he grew up in Piru territory of
Compton, also know as Bompton. His parents both used drugs, and listened to many different types of
music ranging from, Jazz and blues to gangsta rap. Any hip hop fan should be familiar with Kendrick

recognized as a legend this early in his career slightly upsets me.
Kendrick Lamar s newer music is underappreciated because of the unique sound and thought
provoking lyrics. Many people don t listen to music for the full experience; they just listen for some
background noise. According to a study published by Edison Research, in May 2014, 52.1% of the

every day is probably coming from car speakers, a dusty radio on your grandfather s workbench, or

gold dollar sign ring, embraced by a wedding gown clad, large breasted, peroxide bleached blond,
young bimbo. Next to the shocking newly weds was a new, cherry red Dodge Viper convertible,

It appeared that the reader was being subjected to an advertisement for divorce or for potential
infidelity rather than that for a sports car. It is completely absurd to suppose for one second that these
people devoted themselves to each other out of love. From the old man s point of view, this woman
had become nothing more than another one of his exquisite possessions, hardly more important or
significant than his precious Dodge Viper. The woman has become an object and the manufacturer
would like for you to feel that ownership of this car will make anything you desire more attainable.
By depicting their automobile in such a situation, the Dodge Company has made it seem as though
owning their sports car is like diving into a fountain of youth. How else could this white haired,
balding, old man have scored such a ripe attractive young woman? Aside from his apparent wealth,
she must want him for his car. Aging has a direct correlation with decrease in both sexual
attractiveness and libido. It would seem to be very appealing for an older man to be able to marry a
young, sexy woman, and this advertisement claims that ownership of this automobile makes an old
man more desirable. Financially endowed males are the target audience of this advertisement. It

Overview Of Lucrece And Titus Andronicus
In many ways, Shakespeare writes Rome from an anthropomorphized perspective, with some of his
characters so much an embodiment of the culture that one may argue it is direct representation. In
Shakespeare s Lucrece and Titus Andronicus, the protagonists represent the current culture of Rome, it
is their respective deaths that signify the birth of a new Rome. Contrarily, the antagonists in the
aforementioned tales actually seem to manifest as an anti Rome, their distinct lack of the upheld
roman attributes lead to their downfall. For this reason, Rome is argued by many to be a character in
and of itself in Shakespeare s various works. Rome is a character that speaks only through the mouth

Sextus Tarquinius is already a powerful figure in Rome, he uses this to his advantage when asking
Lucrece for lodgings. As an upstanding member of Roman society, Lucrece assumes that this man is
safe. His dishonour is shown most predominantly however when he confidently attempts to
manipulate Lucrece by insisting that her lack of compliance will culminate in her husband s shame.
He tells her, ...some worthless slave of thine I ll slay, / To kill thine honour with thy life s decay . In
this deplorable act of cunning Sextus is the victor, he gets what he wants from her with no true

Icek Ajzen Theory Of Planned Behavior
Theory of Planned Behavior Dana Hall
In today s society, we have a mental health crisis that affects everyone, especially the veteran
population. Mental health crisis range from one extreme to another being death, suicide or homicide.
A goal for health care providers is to prevent these types of those extremes from happening. The most
widely used social cognition model for predicting and explaining health behavior is the Theory of
Planned Behavior (Ogden, 2003).
Icek Ajzen s Theory of Planned Behavior was used as a framework to explain the relationship between
one s attitude and behavior and whether or not it can be predicted and or prevented. What the Theory
of Planned Behavior focuses on are three kinds of views, behavioral beliefs, normative beliefs and
control beliefs (Ajzens, 1971). Atzens suggests that behavioral beliefs focus on the likelihood of the
outcome of behavior and the evaluation and whether or not they have a positive or negative attitude
toward the behavior itself. Normative belief focuses on the expectations of others and the motivation
to comply with those said expectations and if it is viewed as a result of social pressure or subjective
norm (Ajzens, 1971). Control beliefs go on to focus on factors that may positively or negatively
influence performance of that behavior and the thought power of those factors and perceived
behavioral control. When you consider all of these three views, you develop behavioral intention
(1971). It is suggested

Euripedes Medea versus Aristotlean Poetics Essay
Aristotle, a philosopher, scientist, spiritualist and passionate critic of the arts, spent many years
studying human nature and its relevance to the stage. His rules of tragedy in fact made a deep imprint
on the writing of tragic works, while he influenced the structure of theatre, with his analysis of human
nature. Euripides Medea , a Greek tragedy written with partial adherence to the Aristotelian rules,
explores the continuation of the ancient Greek tales surrounding the mythology of Medea, Princess of
Colchis, and granddaughter of Helios, the sun god, with heartlessness to rival the infamous Circe.
While the structure of this play undoubtedly perpetuates many of the Aristotelian rules, there are some
dramatic structures which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Act 1, sc ii. Lines 277 280)
These lines, even out of context, represent pity for Medea, as well as fear on her behalf. When the
audience feels these emotions as a result of the action, they are experiencing the cathartic response to
which Aristotle gave mention.
Of course, catharsis isn?t the only element prevalent in a tragic success by Aristotle?s rules, and many
of his other teachings indicate a far more structural approach to creating successful tragic theatre.
Perhaps the most famous of his rules is the employment of the ?Three Unities?. That is, the unity of
time, place and action. Well known modern critic, Tariq Hayat Las (2006) wrote that ?The unity of
time limits the supposed action to the duration, roughly, of a single day, unity of place limits it to one
general locality, and the unity of action limits it to a single set of incidents which are related as cause
and effect, having a beginning, a middle, and an end. This definition, essentially, is an abridged
translation of what Aristotle originally wrote himself, and thoroughly, yet succinctly outlines what the
three unities are all about. Medea, with relevance to these unities, is particularly adherent, in the sense
that the location does not change, the time is apparent in its constraints and every action serve as a
reaction to what came previously in the text.
It is difficult to give a textual example of the three unities, because the whole principle of their

Normative Gender Roles
Formally began by André Breton and influenced by Freud s vision of repressed, sexual desire, and
hallucinating conscious, gender and sexuality served as a basis of analysis and questioning for the
Surrealist artists. They believed that the women were the way to reach into subconscious of the male
mind and so femininity became the central focus of Surrealism. With the focus on femininity, the
sexuality and gender roles were explored and challenged by several female Surrealist artists such as
Claude Cahun in a way that they rejected some of the conventional perception of femininity. At the
same time, some other Surrealist artists such as Man Ray and Hans Bellmer reaffirmed the normative

This is evident in one of Man Ray s photographs, Érotique voilée (1933). In this work, Man Ray
exhibited a nude female covered with ink, pressing against a printers wheel in a very erotic manner.
She was positioned in a very center of the photograph and was displayed with the wheel in which it
gave a sense of sexual objectification of female in a way that she was treated as a part of the
machinery, not as a separate individual. Similarly, his other work, Le Violon d Ingres (1924), features
a nude woman with f holes added in her back in which it gives the impression of her being the body of
a violin, something to be played that she is nothing more than a muse or sexual object that can be
manipulated by male dominant. As for Hans Bellmer, he constructed life sized dolls that were
violently and sexually degraded images of young girls. The doll (1936) is a photograph of Bellmer s
sexualized, distorted and dismantled sculpture of female body. The sexuality of female was used by
Bellmer to represent the unconscious sexual fantasies of male through toy like associations where it let
the female body to be easily controlled by the male owner. In both Man Ray and Hans Bellmer work,
the female body was interpreted as a sexualized object of erotic pleasure designed for male in which
they reinforced the gender stereotypes of women by depicting them as inferior to

Webster s New World Dictionary defines the term political party as, an organization of people who
share the same views about the way power should be used in a country or society. A plain and simple
definition for a very complex part of America s political system. The main goal of a political party is
to get people elected from their particular party. When people who one sees eye to eye with are in

a platform , or positions on policies and issues that they find to be important, and they have functions.
Each party works to recruit candidates, organize elections, unite people, hold conventions to choose
the party s presidential and vice presidential nominees, and much more. However, in recent years

Essay on Sir John Reith
Sir John Reith Sir John Reith was the first Director General of the BBC, and he had particularly strong
views on broadcasting as having a cultural and moral responsibility as a means of educating and
informing the masses. He once famously stated
It is occasionally indicated to us that we are apparently setting out to give the public what we think
they need and not what they want but few know what they want and very few what they need. In any

The idea of the BBC as a public service meant that the provision should be public goods rather than a
private commodity (Curran, 2000). The funding of the service was based upon the license fee and their
agreement with parliament, and this was decided when it was felt that advertising could limit the
number of programmes they would be able to broadcast. They maintained the view that our
responsibility is to carry into the greatest possible number of homes, everything that is best in every
department of human knowledge, endeavour, or achievement (cited in Smith, 1998).
That the BBC kept a firm degree of independence from the government was always at the forefront of
Reith s aims, and the fact that it also gained a reputation for its impartiality meant that it came to be,
and to some extent, still is a respected institution throughout the world. Nowadays, the BBC still pride
themselves on being free of commercial interests and political bias (2002).
During his reign on the BBC throne, Reith came under much criticism on his views of overestimating
the mentality of the public, and providing a service that contained the matters that he thought should
be most important to society. He was often accused of being elitist in his approach to programming
policy. Many of the working class began to feel alienated by the

Example Of A Rhetorical Essay Examples
Throughout my rhetorical proposal Social Horrors , I developed an argument that the abuse of social
media and texting admittedly has adverse effects on physiological development for children. After I
supported this argument with factual guidelines and relevant statistics, I then formed a proposal to try
and solve this issue for the parents in my audience; Particularly, parents that are raising young children
and minors. In order to create a well structured proposal and argument to achieve the purpose of
limiting screen time for children and young minors in the beginning stages psychological adolescence,
I used admonitory diction, testimonial experience, as well as relevant credible sourcing. Within the
introduction and conclusion, I take an admonitory tone and use admonitory diction in order to
influence my audience. In the introduction, I create a call to action atmosphere by stating I address all
new parents should make it your utmost obligation (Trevor James Yip) to communicate my purpose of
limiting screen time for children and young minors in psychological developmental stages of
adolescence. The parents of young ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For this proposal, my sourcing for my set guidelines had to be accurate and true. For example, when I
give a specific time allotment of 0 2 hours I specifically cite this statement from the Healthy Children
Organization. If new parents are aware of the relevant sources of my claims, then they will listen to
the overall proposal and take account of everything. Even more so, when I give claims about the
potential health issues that can affect my audience s children, I cite pediatric publications and the
American Academy of Pediatricians to support my claims. If pediatricians didn t back my claims, I
would have no influence over my audience for my overall

My Capstone will be the replacement of aging Microsoft Windows XP business computers with newer
computers running Microsoft Windows 7. Although Windows 8.1 is currently available, I have chosen
to deploy Windows 7 for a myriad of reasons. Windows 7 has gained popularity and a reputation for
being a solid replacement for Windows XP.
I have worked (officially) in the IT field for over 4 years now, and have been involved in multiple
Windows 7 migration projects. I will use my previous experience, in addition to my newly developed
skills, to produce a successful plan for rolling out this operating system on a widespread basis.
In my experience, projects such as this are not planned very well. My goal is to make sure that every

Boeing also determined that the increased network security was a huge bonus as well.
Another excellent case study was the Windows 7 migration for Petroleum Development of Oman.
PDO determined they had 5000 full time workers and 30,000 contractors that would be affected. They
were finding that maintaining that many devices was becoming a burden. Modern technology, such as
Microsoft SCCM was not as readily available with their older operating systems.
In order for PDO to complete the migration, they determined they would need a major infrastructure
upgrade. This began with approximately 30% of their servers upgraded from Windows Server 2003 to
Windows Server 2008 R2. Once this initial phase was complete, they turned their focus to client
software.
PDO has a unique environment, with 300 line of business applications, including many custom built
applications and highly sophisticated software for reservoir simulation, well engineering, and
production chemistry. Initially, PDO was working towards migrating to , Windows Vista, but with the
release of Windows 7, it was determined to be a better fit for the business.
PDO engaged Microsoft services and consultants, reengineering applications as needed. Applications
were fully tested in a special lab using 3 levels:
Technical testing: Staff tested to see if the applications would install and run on Windows 7
Functional testing: Business users tried out

to provide and require all athletes to take a computer based neurocognitive test or baseline concussion

Standard State Conservation Districts Law (1931-1939)
The Government started out in 1934 with the Taylor Grazing Act, which set restrictions on the use of
public lands for grazing, followed by a switch from free ranging cattle to feedlots (Naff). On March 3,
1937, Arkansas became the first state to enact the Standard State Conservation Districts Law (Dust
Bowl 1931 1939). Other men started a business of erupting TNT in the sky to encourage rainfall
(Surviving the Dust Bowl). President Roosevelt ordered the Civilian Conservation Corps to plant trees
from Canada to Abilene, Texas, in a huge belt of more than two million to break the wind, hold water
in the soil, and keep the soil itself in place. Irrigation expansion was the most essential solution to the
drought for crop purposes, but discouraged due to water availability (Marrin). ... Show more content

would just refuse. He didn t want to disgrace the family by receiving help (Surviving the Dust Bowl).
In 1941, rain poured down on the region, dust storms ceased, crops thrived, economic prosperity

Yes your majesty, reports from our spies throughout the Hyperion empire state all of nine of the
Houses have given birth to children within the past year. stated a tall but scrawny looking man
wearing red and black armor embroiled with the Aarus Empire insignia.
A man seated atop a chair seemingly made out of gold and silver went silent. His now greying brown
hair showing signs of countless years experience leading his Empire.

son who would be ready to lead the Empire should he meet his demise.
Unfortunately, during his wife s most recent child birthing, a complication occurred and the Queen
Consort passed on after giving birth to his daughter. Even with most of the Empire s greatest healers
present, no one could save the Queen from death.
Emperor Aarus did not accept that. He believes that somehow foul play was involved and his wife s
death was not an accident. Driven by grief and anguish, Emperor Aarus personally executed all those
nobles he knew were plotting against him or were against the current regime.
To this day, the twenty seven bodies of those who plotted against him and their families hang from

Love In Hamlet And Ophelia
Love is different for each and every individual. It is so powerful that people cry, suffer pain, or even
risk their lives to save it. But there are other kinds of love: elusive love, tortured love, or even the love
that you feel for someone but cannot embrace it for fear of other, larger events. It is that kind of love
that seems to be the most prevalent in William Shakespeare s Hamlet, especially when it comes to
Hamlet s relationship with Ophelia, the daughter of King Claudius s advisor, the ever forgetful and
meddling Polonius. The love that Hamlet claimed he had for Ophelia was not only fabricated, but
unhealthy, which untimely led to her death. After a long meditation on the nature of being and death,
Hamlet catches sight of Ophelia. As she attempts to return some of the remembrances that Hamlet
gave when courting her, Hamlet caustically questions Ophelia s honesty. He denies ever having given
Ophelia anything and continues to erratically claim that he loved her once before declaring that he
never loved her at all. The problem here is that no one knows the exact intent of Hamlet as he claims
to love Ophelia amidst a number of happenings that questions how genuine his love towards Ophelia.
Not only does he doubt her honesty because he knew about her plan with Polonius and Claudius to
eavesdrop on him, he is unsure of her purity and her love for him and he tells her, get thee to a
nunnery rather than give birth to sinners ( ). Increasingly agitated, Hamlet condemns marriage itself,
saying that no more marriages should be allowed, before exiting the room and leaving Ophelia in
shambles. Looking deeper into the behavior that Hamlet demonstrates in this scene, there is
completely no love that he shares with Ophelia. In a way, Hamlet seems convinced that Ophelia is the
love of her life, but yet he has the behavior of insulting her and not giving her the priority that she
needs. His character portrays a man who cannot be connected to his self and this leads him to a
number of problems as regards the way he treats Ophelia. It is not just the feelings that Hamlet has
towards Ophelia that describes his love for her but his actions say a lot on the feeling that is in the
inside. Reaching to an extent that he can

Summer Swimming Incident
Shayla Smith stayed a few nights of summer vacation with her friend, Tamara, whose Mom and Dad,
Bob and Susan Tuttle, took Shayla and their daughter, Tamara, camping. Shayla s mom was happy for
the break, as Shayla is dyslexic, and that has caused her to have a difficult time at school.
Consequently, she acts out, and is a handful for her single mom!
The campground is small, but has a fun mini golf game, hiking trails, and has a pool, but no diving
board, and no lifeguard; it is a sand bottom pool, fed by an artesian well, so it is clean, but murky.
The owners, Owen and Dolly Jones, who own and operate the campground, don t have any security on
the premises because they are a mom and pop operation, and the ... Show more content on

Mary was cooperative during the interview and was very responsive to my questions. However, she
did not bring in any documentation though we had requested her medical bills, etc.
Mary repeatedly asked me how long the case would take and mentioned her large bills from Shayla s
accident several times. Mary is a single mother, and Shayla s father is not really in the picture and
provides no financial support for Shayla s care. Mary does not have any kind of insurance.
I found Mary to be a nice looking woman though a bit frazzled. She was articulate but talked a little
loudly. I think she would make a good impression on a judge or jury, but she is a little anxious to score
the big one for Shayla s injuries.

Fact Questions:
Where is the campground located?
Who was supervising Shayla and Tamara?
What is the layout of the pool? How deep and large is it?
Were there any signs around the pool?
Is there a lifeguard on duty?
Have there been previous incidences at this campground pool?
I am not sure Mary and Shayla have a viable case, as more investigation is needed. Recommend that

Euthanasia: A Moral Dilemma
In a brightly lit, cold white room, Dr. Jesse is discussing the extent of the life threatening disease that a
patient, Mark, has. Mark has a chance of survival, but only for about two torturous months where he
will have to separate himself from his normal life and engage in chemotherapy every day. When first
hearing about his situation, Mark immediately decides that plowing through two painful months is not
worth his time or effort, and he wishes to end his life on a positive note without wearing down his
body since he will have to depart sooner or later anyways. Now when confronted with Mark s
decision, Dr. Jesse freezes and rationalizes with his beliefs to try and figure out the morally correct
resolution to this problem. Like Mark, many other ill patients ask for life termination to relieve
themselves from suffering and many other doctors, like Dr. Jesse, are also placed in this position
where they must choose to either follow the patients requests, or to try and keep the patient living
despite their wishes. Who has the power to make this decision about ending a patient s life, and to
what extent? A terminally ill patient has the right to request the act of euthanasia as long as he or she is
deemed as consciously aware.
According to the online Princeton Wordnetweb dictionary, consciousness is an alert cognitive state in
which you are aware of yourself and your situation

  • 2. If Mommy Was Breastfeed Essay If Mommy is sick, can she breastfeed? When you are sick, you and your baby will almost always benefit from continuing to breastfeed. There are very few illnesses that require a mother to stop nursing. Since most illnesses are caused by viruses that are most contagious before you even realize you are sick, your baby has already been exposed before you even develop symptoms (such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, runny nose, cough, etc). Continuing to breastfeed will help protect your baby from the infection, because your body produces antibodies to the specific organism that is causing the infection, and you pass them on to the baby in your breast milk. Often, a breastfed baby will be the only member of the family who doesn t get sick. If ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you are diabetic, breastfeeding offers many advantages. • 3. Multiple Outcomes Of Multiple Pregnancy Multiple Pregnancy Multiple pregnancy is a pregnancy with more than one baby in mom s uterus, such as twins, triplets or quadruplets. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the highest rate of multiple pregnancy was in the years between 1980 and 2008, due to use of fertility treatments and childbearing among women older than 35 years (Multiple Pregnancy, 2015). The causes of multiple pregnancies are race, gene, age (pregnancy after age of thirty), use of fertility stimulating drugs and in vitro fertilization (Multiple Pregnancy and Birth: Twins, Triplets, and High order Multiples ). Caring more than one baby is considered high risk pregnancy, because of the many complications that may occur during the periods of pregnancy, labor and postpartum for the women s and baby s health. This kind of pregnancy requires multiple doctors visits and exams, bed rest, and in most cases end with premature delivered babies through Cesarean section. Complications on Mom s Health There are many possible problems that may occur in pregnancy with more than one baby. The risk of developing of some kind of complications is two times greater than in pregnancy with one baby. Essay on Mongolian Management The Mongolian Empire quickly conquered monumental sums of land in only a relatively small amount of time, but their serious challenge was figuring out a way to govern and maintain the newly acquired land. Genghis Khan united the Mongols and with their superior military skills, they toppled the governments of surrounding nations and captured their lands. The Mongols who occupied each subjected nation ruled the people and installed different government systems that fit their liking. Technology And Its Impact On The Classroom Essay Progression, the ever enduring race of humankind to becoming better and more advanced beings, has become interwoven with technology, as nearly all aspects of one s life, whether it being at home, for leisure, at work, or in the educational sector is entwined with elements of digitality. This notion leads one to see that the participation with technologies can be an essential aspect of one s progression in this new contemporary society. The emergence and subsequent dominance of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in this digitally mediated world has led to the need for digital education in schools, which in turn can bring both potentials and challenges in divergent school settings, as digital literacies bring differing values and meanings in relation to the setting they are situated in. Transitioning from old to new literacies; digital literacy as a socially imbued construct; digital divide; ICT out of school; educators and ICT; and implementing ICT in the classroom will be discussed in order to extricate both the potentials and challenges with the immersion of digital literacies in education. I do not eat enough foods that are nutrient dense, and I consume too many fats. However, this also reminds me that I have improved my habits a little. For example, Before I started college and really started this journey towards healthy living I could have easily eaten a whole Hershey s chocolate bar, but instead I only ate a half, and that half was not in one whole sitting. Another example is related to the items I had for breakfast. Usually, I would get the tater tots that serve with breakfast, but I chose to get an apple instead because I knew it would be healthier for me. With this said, I do not eat breakfast on a regular basis. I am good about eating lunch and dinner, but I have a bad habit of not getting a meal first thing in the morning. • 9. Advantages Of Congestion Pricing Congestion pricing is a particular type of road pricing where variable fees are charged with an explicit purpose to reduce congestion (Litman, 2007). It is a method of harnessing the power of the market to reduce the waste associated with traffic congestion and it uses market forces to allocate limited facility capacity among users by their need to travel and their willingness to pay (TCRP, 2003). Congestion pricing is also known as congestion charging, value pricing, variable road pricing, or pricing peak period pricing. This means increasing prices during certain periods of time or at the places where congestion occurs or introducing a new usage tax or charge when peak demand exceeds available supply in the case of a tax funded public good provided free at the point of usage. According to the economic theory behind congestion pricing, the aim of this policy is to use the price mechanism to make users more aware of the costs that they impose upon one another when consuming during the peak demand. In this case, they should pay for the additional congestion they create, thus encouraging the redistribution of the demand in space or in time (Button, 1993) or shifting it to the consumption of a substitute public good, for instance, switching from private transport to public transport (Small Verhoef, 2007). This pricing mechanism has been used in several public utilities and public services for setting higher prices during congested periods. This is a method to better manage the demand for the service to avoid expensive new investments just to satisfy peak demand. This is also a useful way when it is not economically or financially feasible to provide additional capacity to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is composed in crosses of axons which may produce changes in the innervations of the upper limb muscles, mainly motor part of intrinsic muscles in the hand (MANNERFELT, 1966; KIMURA, MURPHY and VARDA, 1976). Anastomosis in which the branch anastomotic originates proximally in the median nerve and unites distally in the ulnar nerve is known as Median Ulnar anastomosis type or Martin Gruber anastomosis. Martin, a Swedish anatomist, in 1763 was the first one to consider the possibility of connection between the fascicles of the median and ulnar nerves in the forearm (MARTIN, 1763). It can arise between the branches destined to the deep flexor muscle of the fingers, or directly in the median to the ulnar nerve, or between the anterior interosseous and ulnar nerves or in combinations between these types of anastomoses (NAKASHIMA, 1993). However, another type of anastomosis can happen in the forearm. When the anastomotic branch originates proximally in ulnar nerve and unites distally to median nerve is simply called anastomosis of Median Ulnar type, or Martin Gruber reverse anastomosis or Marinacci anastomosis. Marinacci in 1964 made a case report of a patient who traumatized the medium nerve in forearm, but still had preservation of the median nerve innervations in the hand muscles, although had denervation of the flexor muscles in forearm (MARINACCI, 1964). The Marinacci anastomosis is infrequently notified. In some studies this type of anastomosis had not been found, being considered for many authors as anatomical anomaly. We can learn about both parties through the constant stereotypes against the Native Americans by white people. These stereotypes impacted the culture of society for future generations by making it look as though all Indians are bad people with bad intentions. For example, the attempt to bring out the inner savagery of the Indian culture. There are many stereotypes for example, the conversion of Indians to another culture and forcing them to recognize the white culture as the dominant culture over their native one. They had small chances of being accepted by either society that they were born into or apart of. Finally, the miscegenation between Native Americans and white people, or the intermarriage between cultures. In the desolation, chaos and widespread panic followed, a surge in child exploitation and trafficking was inevitable just as it was after for the 2004 Indonesia tsunami and how it is constantly happening in Guatemala.21 22 In the 1st two months, children were pooched by greedy westernized vultures without checking if they had any living relatives and the proper documentations.21 22 Just a few days after the catastrophe, children were already in the final stages of adoption and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is not only the involvement of two families but two countries. I think before any international adoption should proceed, the adoptive parents must make the effort to know the child s homeland. They must also demonstrate that they are willing to protect the rights of the child against any threat. I think in that way the child won t lose part of his cultural and ethnic identity. The sending country should make sure the international adoption is the last option after visiting the other options such as extended families that might be able to take care of the child or orphanage agencies or even domestic adoption. Only after these options have been exhausted, only then international adoption should be considered. Once it is done, they need to assure the child is guaranteed to have a better future. I don t think it should stop at a simple background check or to check if the adopters are good citizens. It should go beyond that; like take for instance the case of Carleton Gajdusek; he was an extraordinary scientist and he received a Nobel prize for his research. Given his background and how he was perceived in society, Gajdusek was given the opportunity to bring back with him in the US 56 children from New Guinea. Parents trusted the scientist and believe that he will offer those kids a higher education. However, he was later accused of molesting those kids. Shouldn t this be a lesson to society? Analysis of Excerpt Blanche explains her difficulties in life through an idea which pairs softness with attractiveness. She portrays herself as a victim of the demands that the weak be attractive. But the truth is that the abuse and complexities of life have forced Blanche to toughen up. Her use of the phrase turn the trick is a significant line in the excerpt, being an old idiom implying promiscuous relationships. Here she is referring to her dark and shameful incidents that occurred after her husband s death, which she kept hidden from Stella. Tennessee Williams uses symbolism and imagery to help convey the idea that Blanche is deceptive, egotistical and seductive. For example, wearing a white dress in this scene deceives people of being innocent and pure. Product and brand exposure in films is the result of paid product placement, the provision of free products as props, or personal use by actors. Product placement implies a mutually beneficial relationship between the filmmaker and the manufacturer of the product. Product placement firms have evolved over the last two decades to broker relationships between filmmakers and corporations. The usual procedure is for the product placement firm to receive scripts in advance of production from filmmakers and review the scripts for the possible use of products they represent. Normally this involves substituting a specific brand for a generic brand that is, instead of John meets Mary at a coffeehouse , John might meet Mary at Curt s Coffee. The integrity of the script is maintained, a touch of realism is provided, the filmmaker has an existing location for filming, and Curt s Coffee receives extensive free exposure. Mental health crisis range from one extreme to another being death, suicide or homicide. A goal for health care providers is to prevent these types of those extremes from happening. The most widely used social cognition model for predicting and explaining health behavior is the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ogden, 2003). Icek Ajzen s Theory of Planned Behavior was used as a framework to explain the relationship between one s attitude and behavior and whether or not it can be predicted and or prevented. What the Theory of Planned Behavior focuses on are three kinds of views, behavioral beliefs, normative beliefs and control beliefs (Ajzens, 1971). Atzens suggests that behavioral beliefs focus on the likelihood of the outcome of behavior and the evaluation and whether or not they have a positive or negative attitude toward the behavior itself. Normative belief focuses on the expectations of others and the motivation to comply with those said expectations and if it is viewed as a result of social pressure or subjective norm (Ajzens, 1971). Control beliefs go on to focus on factors that may positively or negatively influence performance of that behavior and the thought power of those factors and perceived behavioral control. Euripedes Medea versus Aristotlean Poetics Essay Aristotle, a philosopher, scientist, spiritualist and passionate critic of the arts, spent many years studying human nature and its relevance to the stage. His rules of tragedy in fact made a deep imprint on the writing of tragic works, while he influenced the structure of theatre, with his analysis of human nature. Euripides Medea , a Greek tragedy written with partial adherence to the Aristotelian rules, explores the continuation of the ancient Greek tales surrounding the mythology of Medea, Princess of Colchis, and granddaughter of Helios, the sun god, with heartlessness to rival the infamous Circe. Lines 277 280) These lines, even out of context, represent pity for Medea, as well as fear on her behalf. When the audience feels these emotions as a result of the action, they are experiencing the cathartic response to which Aristotle gave mention. Of course, catharsis isn?t the only element prevalent in a tragic success by Aristotle?s rules, and many of his other teachings indicate a far more structural approach to creating successful tragic theatre. Perhaps the most famous of his rules is the employment of the ?Three Unities?. That is, the unity of time, place and action. Well known modern critic, Tariq Hayat Las (2006) wrote that ?The unity of time limits the supposed action to the duration, roughly, of a single day, unity of place limits it to one general locality, and the unity of action limits it to a single set of incidents which are related as cause and effect, having a beginning, a middle, and an end. This definition, essentially, is an abridged translation of what Aristotle originally wrote himself, and thoroughly, yet succinctly outlines what the three unities are all about. Medea, with relevance to these unities, is particularly adherent, in the sense that the location does not change, the time is apparent in its constraints and every action serve as a reaction to what came previously in the text. It is difficult to give a textual example of the three unities, because the whole principle of their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The funding of the service was based upon the license fee and their agreement with parliament, and this was decided when it was felt that advertising could limit the number of programmes they would be able to broadcast. They maintained the view that our responsibility is to carry into the greatest possible number of homes, everything that is best in every department of human knowledge, endeavour, or achievement (cited in Smith, 1998). After I supported this argument with factual guidelines and relevant statistics, I then formed a proposal to try and solve this issue for the parents in my audience; Particularly, parents that are raising young children and minors. In order to create a well structured proposal and argument to achieve the purpose of limiting screen time for children and young minors in the beginning stages psychological adolescence, I used admonitory diction, testimonial experience, as well as relevant credible sourcing. Standard State Conservation Districts Law (1931-1939) The Government started out in 1934 with the Taylor Grazing Act, which set restrictions on the use of public lands for grazing, followed by a switch from free ranging cattle to feedlots (Naff). On March 3, 1937, Arkansas became the first state to enact the Standard State Conservation Districts Law (Dust Bowl 1931 1939). Other men started a business of erupting TNT in the sky to encourage rainfall (Surviving the Dust Bowl). President Roosevelt ordered the Civilian Conservation Corps to plant trees from Canada to Abilene, Texas, in a huge belt of more than two million to break the wind, hold water in the soil, and keep the soil itself in place. • 49. Love In Hamlet And Ophelia Love is different for each and every individual. It is so powerful that people cry, suffer pain, or even risk their lives to save it. But there are other kinds of love: elusive love, tortured love, or even the love that you feel for someone but cannot embrace it for fear of other, larger events. It is that kind of love that seems to be the most prevalent in William Shakespeare s Hamlet, especially when it comes to Hamlet s relationship with Ophelia, the daughter of King Claudius s advisor, the ever forgetful and meddling Polonius. The love that Hamlet claimed he had for Ophelia was not only fabricated, but unhealthy, which untimely led to her death. After a long meditation on the nature of being and death, Hamlet catches sight of Ophelia. As she attempts to return some of the remembrances that Hamlet gave when courting her, Hamlet caustically questions Ophelia s honesty. He denies ever having given Ophelia anything and continues to erratically claim that he loved her once before declaring that he never loved her at all. The problem here is that no one knows the exact intent of Hamlet as he claims to love Ophelia amidst a number of happenings that questions how genuine his love towards Ophelia. Not only does he doubt her honesty because he knew about her plan with Polonius and Claudius to eavesdrop on him, he is unsure of her purity and her love for him and he tells her, get thee to a nunnery rather than give birth to sinners ( ). Increasingly agitated, Hamlet condemns marriage itself, saying that no more marriages should be allowed, before exiting the room and leaving Ophelia in shambles. Looking deeper into the behavior that Hamlet demonstrates in this scene, there is completely no love that he shares with Ophelia. In a way, Hamlet seems convinced that Ophelia is the love of her life, but yet he has the behavior of insulting her and not giving her the priority that she needs. His character portrays a man who cannot be connected to his self and this leads him to a number of problems as regards the way he treats Ophelia. It is not just the feelings that Hamlet has towards Ophelia that describes his love for her but his actions say a lot on the feeling that is in the inside. Reaching to an extent that he can ... Euthanasi A Moral Dilemma Shubhpreet Janda Prof. Anthony Fraser English Comp 1 May 5, 2015 Euthanasia: A Moral Dilemma In a brightly lit, cold white room, Dr. Jesse is discussing the extent of the life threatening disease that a patient, Mark, has. Mark has a chance of survival, but only for about two torturous months where he will have to separate himself from his normal life and engage in chemotherapy every day. When first hearing about his situation, Mark immediately decides that plowing through two painful months is not worth his time or effort, and he wishes to end his life on a positive note without wearing down his body since he will have to depart sooner or later anyways. Now when confronted with Mark s decision, Dr. Jesse freezes and rationalizes with his beliefs to try and figure out the morally correct resolution to this problem. Like Mark, many other ill patients ask for life termination to relieve themselves from suffering and many other doctors, like Dr. Jesse, are also placed in this position where they must choose to either follow the patients requests, or to try and keep the patient living despite their wishes. Who has the power to make this decision about ending a patient s life, and to what extent? A terminally ill patient has the right to request the act of euthanasia as long as he or she is deemed as consciously aware.
