Effects Of Pollution On Mount Everest
Mount Everest is being effected because of climbers. The people are bringing things up to the
mountain, but they are not bringing them back down. Due to the extreme weather conditions on
Everest, the debris stays frozen in place. Some food cans found on Everest even date as far back as the
early 1960s. The effect of the garbage and waste on Mount Everest is pollution and a mountain of
garbage. This is not healthy. Removing greater amounts of waste isn t the only solution to the
problem, though. Climbers and environmentalists have recommended additional methods to combat
Everest s pollution. Mount Everest is dealing with pollution because of climber s leaving their trash
and waste up on Everest.

Climbers don t want to carry the extra weight down, especially when they re already tired. The people
cleaning up for good have cleaned up more than 13 tons of garbage. Several organizations are now
trying to clean up Mount Everest for good. Launched in 2008, Eco Everest Expedition annually
collects piles of debris covering the mountain. Since the expedition s start, climbers have removed
more than 13 tons of garbage from Everest. In 2013, a joint effort by Indian and Nepalese military
personnel resulted in the additional removal of two tons of waste from the mountain. The people
leaving trash leave it because they have a hard time bringing it down the mountain with them.
Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay meant no harm when they reached the top of Mount Everest.
When Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached the top of Mount Everest for the
accomplishment. Sir Edmund Hillary was not necessarily someone people would have expected to set
such a monumental record on Everest. Though Hillary had climbed many mountains before, his main
profession, like that of his father, was beekeeping. But Hillary s drive to climb Mount Everest was
unstoppable. He first took part in an expedition there in 1951 and then was invited to return for a
subsequent expedition in 1953. The goal of that expedition was to reach Everest s summit. Hillary s
climbing partner, Tenzing Norgay, had climbed Mount Everest many times, though never to the

Electronic Cheques Are Electronic Copies Of A Regular...
Electronic cheques are electronic copies of a regular cheque. You are only able to pay with an
electronic cheque by sending an e mail of it to pay for the item you want. Electronic cheques are not
the most common method of payment for customers as they are often sent to businesses and
companies although they are able to be sent from person to person through a site such as eBay.
Electronic cheques are also signed off digitally by the person/business receiving the cheque to confirm
the receiving of the cheque.
Electronic cheques allow users of e commerce to pay with an electronic cheque, as an alternative
payment option rather than using a credit or debit card to purchase goods online. Electronic cheques
are more common in the US than in the UK, where credit and debit cards are used by the masses.
Electronic cheques give business, universities, private companies and personal online sellers the
ability to let their customer make an online payment by e mailing their cheque to the business/person
so they have their payment for their product. E commerce has allowed for this new method of
payment that has never been used previously by the public and now adds a new type of convenient
payment method for non credit/debit card users and customers who prefer not to give their bank
details to PayPal or another online banking account.
Electronic cheques however have their negatives, such as the time in which it takes for the transaction
to take place. It can take up to a couple of days

Measuring The Effectiveness Of The Coastal Zone Management...
Measuring the Effectiveness of the Coastal Zone Management Act in the United States
Emily M. Joyce
ENVM 646 Fall 2014
Introduction
In 1972, the U.S. Congress approved the federal Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA). The CZMA
gives a structure for improved management of the coastal and lands and waters of the nations coastal
zone. It was intended to provide broad policy direction, federal fiscal means, and legal tools as
incentives to coastal states wishing to modernize their aptitude for coastal management. Participating
states had to go through a planning and development stage and then submitted a proposal for approval.
Most of the state programs were approved in the late 1970s and early 1980s, with ongoing
implementation.
Since it s passage, the CZMA there have been numerous efforts to evaluate the success of the state and
local programs. The evaluations have varied broadly in scope, focus, and methods used. Most have
relied on the descriptions of the processes, case studies, expert opinions and public perceptions to
gauge success.
Structure and Policy Context of the CZM in the United States
A main item of coastal management exercise in the U.S. is the series of programs and activities of all
levels of government that directly linked to the federal CZMA. Under the CZMA, federal, states, and
local, are given important roles to play and flexibility in choosing their roles. This results in varied
costal programs, which gives certain challenges for a

Tulane Scholarship
My parents have always encouraged me to strive to be my best self. They ve always wanted me to
attend college so that I could follow my dream of going to medical school to become a physician. This
scholarship would not only help pay for college expenses, but encourage me to succeed.
I plan to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Out of the six schools I applied to I was
accepted to all and offered scholarships to all but one. I chose Tulane because of its academic rigor
and great location. I m not set on a major yet, but it will most likely be neuroscience, biochemistry, or
cell and molecular biology. It is also extremely possible that I will double major in two of my three
choices. As for minors, I want to study French, political

Analysis On Value Map Or Value Network Analysis
Section 1: Analysis on a value map or value network analysis
Value Map or value network analysis (VNA) is used for companies to gain full insights into how
business is operating in term of relationship with its external environment or actors. It is important to
understand how to convert intangible or tangible and knowledge assets and business relationships with

themselves in their own outfits, providing the brands and links where such clothing products can be
found, in order to get rated, commented by the rest of the community. Based on the current position of

How Did Gandhi Influence The Civil Rights Movement
The Civil Rights Movement was a very influential time in American history. During the 1950 s and 60
s, the fight for blacks trying to get equal rights commenced. Some say the beginning of the civil rights
uproar was on December 1st, 1955 when Rosa Parks, a black women, refused to move to the back of
the bus and got arrested in Montgomery, Alabama. Blacks, along with many whites, mobilized and
began a never done before fight for equality that spanned two decades. America was not the only place
where rights were a problem. Mahatma Gandhi was a indian activist. India wanted to gain rights from

Silas Brady s Narrative
With a snap of the reins and a click of his tongue, Silas Brady coaxed his horse into a faster pace,
causing the tiny yellow house on wheels to lurch and rumble behind him. His instincts detected
potential business as his professional eye admired the quaint scene at the bottom of the hill: a
clapboard house and barn, a small corral, and a large plot of land ready for planting. From his
position, the bright green canopy of an oak peeked above the roofline of the house. Aside from a
single grazing cow, the homestead was quiet and still. A tall, fair haired man of middling years
approached from behind the house to wait at the bottom of the porch steps though the lack of a
customary greeting was glaringly obvious. As a precaution, Silas stopped his wagon a short distance
while he set the brake and adopted a friendly mien knowing that an aggressive manner was
counterproductive for business. Good day to you! The name s Silas Brady, photographer by trade, he
announced. Since I m passing your farm on my way to town, perhaps you d like a picture of your own,
mister . . . . The screech of a screened door interrupted Silas, and a woman stepped out of the shadows.
Nodding in acknowledgment, he continued his pitch. Maybe one of you and the missus? I can t ...

while they gathered their six year old son and daughter this he knew in his conversation with Karl

faces before meeting Karl s bleak look. Motioning toward the designated chairs, Silas added gently,

Disadvantages Of Constantine Grocery
As Constantine Grocery is growing from a small family business to a grocery store chain, the need for
raising funds has increased as a result of the expansion of the business. A preliminary study has been
conducted and the funds needed are believed to be around 135 million dollars. Our mission is to
explore the owner s options to obtain that amount of money and to recommend the best option through
demonstrating the advantages and disadvantages of each choice. 1 Issuing corporate bonds: These are
considered one of the tools used by companies to raise finance. Bonds are also considered as debt and
under there terms the borrower has to pay fixed interest, which is called coupon rate, on the loan and
repay the principal upon maturity of the debt (Choudhry, 2004). Unlike selling shares, bonds are less
risky to investors, allow business to buy back their bonds if they wanted to, and give the business the
opportunity to deduct the interest from the business s taxes (The Legal Environment and Foundations
for Business Law, 2012). The downside of issuing corporates bonds is the fact that they are loans and
they could lead the business to bankruptcy if the business is highly leveraged. In addition to that,
business has to follow the market in deciding the interest rates which increase their financial burden.
Finally, while the company still retain their ownership after issuing bonds, failing to pay interests
enables the investors to control the business through bankruptcy and they

Disadvantages Of Eye Surgery
There are many individuals who suffer from eye conditions that force them to wear contact lenses and
glasses as means of correcting their vision. In such cases, the problem is usually with the shape of the
lens in the eye, and the used of an extra lens makes it much easier for people to focus.
However, there are other technologies that can be used for the same conditions. For instance, the use
of the latest eye surgery technology can help you achieve much better results as compared to using the
special lenses mentioned above. The only thing that deters many people from using laser is the fact
that most of them think that it is a very expensive procedure, and that it may involve a lot of pain.
However, the latest eye surgery technology is not associated with such things, nowadays this
procedure has become more popular making it affordable to patients at lower prices. ... Show more

In King Henry Iv, How Has Shakespeare Portrayed the...
Hal and Hotspur are the two most compared characters in Shakespeare s King Henry IV: Part 1
because of the many similarities and differences that are portrayed by Shakespeare. The audience is
presented with many aspects about each character very early on in the play, and it is then that they
create expectations which can either be confirmed or contradicted as the play goes on. Shakespeare
usually portrays a character through the use of literary and dramatic techniques throughout his work,
either subtle or obvious. In this particular text, he has used a range of textual techniques to portray the
characteristic of arrogance shared by both, portray Hotspur s great honour, as well as Hal s notable
dishonour, and the ways that the two contrast. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another way that Shakespeare portrays Hotspur as being an honourable character is in the very way
that he speaks. Throughout the play, Hotspur talks in the sophisticated prose form, an example being
But I remember when the fight was done,/ When I was dry with rage and extreme toil,/ breathless and
faint, leaning upon my sword... The fact that Shakespeare has chosen for Hotspur to use prose when
he talks suggests to us that he is able to speak very well with such a fiery passion about honourable
things, like battles. In the given example, Hotspur uses such a colourful description of the aftermath of
a battle, not to say how extremely well he fought, but giving a more modest account on how worn out
he was, thus Shakespeare reinforces the aspect of honour in his character. Shakespeare has utilized
techniques like foreshadowing, contrasting, setting and language to portray Hal as dishonourable.
Shakespeare portrays Hal from the beginning as being dishonourable and unruly through the use of
foreshadowing that is used by other characters. After talking about how honourable Hotspur is, King
Henry IV contrasts him with his own son; riot and dishonour stain the brow/ of my young Harry. The
heavy contrast here foreshadows Hal s character as being that of dishonour because we have just been
given an image, through foreshadowing, about how grand Hotspur s honour is, then King Henry gives

How Does Deviance Crime And Social Control Affect Society
How do deviance, crimes, and social control impact society? Deviance is said to be the behavior that
violates social norms and arouses negative social reaction. Crimes is the behavior that violates these
laws and is an important type of deviance that concern many Americans. Social control refers to the
ways in which a society tries to prevent and sanction behavior that violates the norms. Deviance,
crimes, and social control are three main category in our society today. Deviance have an impact on
society because as Emile Durkheim explains that it clarifies social norms and increases comformity.
Norms is a standard or pattern of social behavior that is expected in a group and comformity is a type
of social influence involving change in belief behavior in order to fit in with a group. An example
would be if you are driving over the speed limit and you get pulled over, every car on the road will

which can also harm anyone in its way. Crimes has been an impact on not only people but on
communities and businesses as well. When people are moving they want to be in an area where they

My Passion For Criminal Justice
For as long as I can remember I ve had a passion for the criminal justice field. I once dreamed about
becoming a lawyer until I realized my desire for truly helping individuals master a sense of
accomplishment and self worth. Admiring my mother being a licensed clinical social worker for the
developmental disabilities population I too wanted to assist individuals with gratifying change through
behavior modification. I later confirm my admiration and desire to assist in a person s self
accomplishment working as a teacher aid during the summer of my freshman and sophomore years of
high school. It was not only satisfying to see the over flow of joy whenever I helped a child reach a
new goal but to know I assisted them to that accomplishment made it all worthwhile. Additionally,
holding an interest in criminal justice and human services I found a child advocacy program which fit
my desire to gain more knowledge of the law regarding child protection in conjunction to the
psychological hardships abuse and neglect have on the child victim and their families.
Further into my academic study of child advocacy I grew an intense passion for the psychological
aspect of the study, not only for the child victims but for the offenders as well. I speculated the mens
rea of child predators, what would make someone commit crimes on children more importantly how
could those offenders be educated to correct their unacceptable societal behavior. I always knew about

Literary Analysis Of East Of Eden By Adam Trask
A Father, a Brother, and a Wife In the novel East of Eden , written by John Steinbeck, readers follow a
man named Adam Trask from his childhood up to his death. His life is an exhibit of struggle,
perseverance, and naivety; in which all of these qualities seem to be apparent in his significant
relationships. As the story progresses, Adam has his fair share of relationships, and not all of which
are healthy. He slowly but surely has to learn that even people he loves have the ability to hurt him
and that those relationships may be detrimental to him and his family. Adam Trask repeatedly displays
how the theme of relationships is recurring in East of Eden ; with his father, Cyrus Trask, his half

It seems that Adam instantly felt empathy for her, as ...his mind went back... his stepmother was

realized how sinister she was. Despite Cathy trying to kill her baby with a knitting needle after
realizing she was pregnant and without even telling Adam about it, and after she shot him, he had to
physically see her in a whorehouse in her ugly state to get over her and live his life. This may be the
most prominent relationship in the book because of her effect on Adam and how his character

The Biased View Of Prejudice
Prejudice is a biased view of people of a different culture or race.Prejudice is deeply rooted in human
nature, and lack of interaction between different racial groups also contributes to prejudice.
Also, society s prejudice against a certain group of individuals will cause other people to feel the same
way.
According to Psychologist Gordon Allport, prejudice is an example of normal human thinking. In
other words, prejudice is normal. So as long as humans have common sense or any real thought, there
will always be prejudice one way or another so prejudice cannot and will never be eliminated. As long
as there is no action towards the prejudiceness then prejudice thoughts are just an example of human
thinking.
Prejudice could be due

College Student Athletes Report
The purpose of this report is to determine whether college student athletes should be paid with more
than scholarships. This has been a heavily discussed topic over the last few years and will continue to
be discussed in the years to come. It is illegal for student athletes to receive compensation for their
participation in college athletics, because the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association)
specifically states in its 2016 2017 Summary of NCAA regulations that You (the student athlete) are
not eligible for participation in a sport if you have ever taken pay, or the promise of pay, for competing
in that sport (NCAA, 2016, p 2). Many argue college athletes should be paid with scholarships to
attend universities as well as cash ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since there is so much money spent, there is not as much money to pay the athletes as some may
believe. In an article Pete DiPrimio he discusses how schools do not make as much profit as some
believe. A study by the NCAA and USA Today showed that 206 Division I public athletic departments
lose money. Indiana and Purdue are two of the 22 public universities that make money (DiPrimio,
2011, p.1). Kansas State University is also one of the select few colleges that are profitable in the
NCAA. In the aforementioned letter from John Currie, he shows Kansas State s projected budget card
for the 2014 2015 fiscal year. Kansas State s projected budget is set so they can simply break even
(Currie, 2014). Their number one goal is not to make a profit or else their budget projections would be
set to make a profit. Figure 2 shows a few of the profitable programs. Only 14 percent of division 1
schools generated more than a million dollars in 2012. One of the main reasons Kansas State is
actually profitable is because of generous donations from

Nice To Eat With You Chapter 1 Summary
Ryan Klemann
AP Literature and Composition
Mrs. Mills Chapter 5 Nice to Eat with You: Acts of Communion: As Kumalo arrives in Johannesburg,
he dines with Msimangu and other priests, which include blacks and whites. The priests at the mission
sit together forgetting about color, signifying that the two races can be together in agreement, and they
welcome Kumalo s story with interest. Kumalo talks about his village and describes how people will
leave Ixopo and create a sense of brokenness in the tribe, which are all falling to ruin. One priest
wished to hear more, but got up and left to attend other affairs, symbolizing an end of a relationship.
At this meal, news of a Johannesburg couple that had been beaten and robbed by a couple of natives
was discussed. This meal of the priests is not only an act of communion, but it represents a bond
created by two different races, which is the main issue of this novel. ... Show more content on

Like Christ, Arthur teaches to love each race and be considerate towards whites and blacks. As Arthur
Jarvis died in chapter eleven, he brought optimism and change to the people, similar to Jesus Christ
bringing redemption and spiritual growth of many people. Due to his teachings being rejected by
many people of South Africa, he was killed. As Arthur Jarvis was killed, there were pictures of
crucified Christ and Abraham Lincoln, both people who fought for what they believed in, human
compassion, and were killed for their beliefs. Through Arthur Jarvis, the reader sees sacrifice through
his actions, which relate him to Jesus Christ, the greatest sacrifice we know of. (Foster,

La Migra Pat Mora
In the first line of La Migra , Pat Mora opens the poem in an appealing way by stating Let s play La
Migra as if the poem that the reader is about to read is about any ordinary game (1). The poem is a
game of freedom that unfortunately many people face, putting at jeopardy the lives of all the
characters involved if factors turn against their favor. The prize of the winner is very simple for each;
if the immigrant woman wins she obtains the American dream, and if the border patrol wins he has
accomplished his duty of keeping immigrants out of the country. The author creates two sections
letting each of the two characters be vulnerable at one point but also have authority at another. In the
first section, the border patrol is the one to hold the authority. He repeatedly states I can over the
things he can do to the woman because he holds authority to do so (8,12). In the next second section
of the poem the author switches the authority around to the woman, and this is implied because at the
end of the poem she states Get ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I first saw it, it surprised me because it was in Spanish. The name was straightforward and I
knew it would talk about immigration from an immigrant s point of view. As I started to read the poem
it was somewhat different then what I expected. The poem indeed was from an immigrant s point of
view but also included a border patrol s perspective. What I had never expected for the poem to be is
to have an immigrant woman defying the authority of a border patrol. In most cases immigrants are
scared especially at the sound of la migra which is a slag word for immigration in Spanish. In
addition, when the speaker was the border patrol officer he made himself sound bad by stating the
things he could do to the woman. In most cases the speaker does not talk bad about themselves
especially if being of authority figure like in this

How Does Iago Present Evil In Othello
Evil is appears throughout the story through the menacing Iago and his devilish undertakings in
Shakespeare s Othello. Perceived as a sociopath, Iago antagonizes and fuels conflict. Firstly, evil
shows its presence when Iago manipulates Othello into thinking his love, Desdemona, cheated on him.
In response to Iago s insinuation Othello speaks, Nor from mine own weak merits will I draw/the
smallest fear or doubt of her revolt (III.III.218 219). Evil indicates its presence due to the creation of
doubt in Othello s conscious. Othello rejects his feelings saying, I ll see before I doubt; when I doubt,
prove (III.III. 220). However, the seed of doubt is already planted in Othello s head. This is relatable
to a later work by Milton, Paradise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In deep thought, Iago reveals one of his goals while speaking to the audience saying, Till I am evened
with him, wife for wife (II.I.321). This reveals that Othello might have slept with Iago s wife;
however, due to Iago s deceitful nature the reader is not sure. The phrase a wife for wife alludes to the
saying an eye for an eye, which indicates one of Iago s goals is to seek vengeance for a perceived
wrong (II.I.321). Iago hopes to put the Moor/At least into a jealousy so strong/That judgment cannot
cure (11.1.322 324). As Iago has fallen into a vengeful stupor, he hopes to torture Othello through the
same jealously in, which he was afflicted. Through emotional moments, evil reveals its true ambitions
like Iago with his vengeful thoughts or Othello when his suspicions of Desdemona s infidelity were
confirmed. An enraged Othello shouts, Hang her, I do but say what she is! (4.1.208 211). Emotional
instances, like this one, expose the character s true feelings and inner thoughts. The highly climatic
scene between Iago and Othello that left the latter nearly incapacitated, allowed for the Moor s inner
evil to reveal itself. Othello s evil thought, in accordance with Iago s, seeks revenge for a perceived
wrong, Desdemona s

Team Analysis
The most important thing while working in a team is teamwork which is essential factor which can
lead to success of the team. The team members should put the team goals in front of personal goals
that will lead to team success. There are many things we can learn from working in a team. Some of
the essential skills and knowledge we can learn from working in a team are communication skills and
leadership skills. Furthermore, since we can learn a lot and develop our knowledge and skills, I enjoy
working in a team. I tend to keep notes of every new thing I learn from my team. Actually, one of my

team goals and objectives, available resources and the time duration for the particular goal. In order to
achieve highest productivity, we meet daily and update on the status of our tasks. It has been a very
good experience for me since I am getting the opportunity to exercise my skills and knowledge and at
the same time improve the same by giving some of my insights and getting feedbacks. If I was a
leader of the team, I will be actively involved in all the meetings including planning the team goals. In
the meeting, we will distribute tasks equally among each other. Furthermore, to make it more
effective, I will also focus on maintaining good communication between the team. A good
communication is necessary to make sure the team members know about the approach to the project

movie that has the motion of interest and is representative for the data set. Directly measure the
motion of interest using a kymograph or other trusted approach to establish ground truth flow. As an
additional control, it may be helpful to construct a parallel movie where the motion of interest is
absent. Set Σs = 2 and Σt =2, systematically vary τ and Σw and produce x y flow maps using the Vary
Parameters and Save function in FlowJ. First examine how the output varies as a function of Σw. Pick
the smallest value that generates a clear flow field for the moving object, then for that value of Σw
examine the output as a function of τ. Find a value that fully suppresses flow associated with image
noise, but does not suppress the flow fields associated with mitochondria. A straightforward way to do
this is to examine the flow fields in a region of an image that both contains and lacks mitochondria.

Education For Leisure By Carice Duffy
In poems, Stealing and Education for leisure , Duffy uses a range of literary devices like colloquial
language and short sentences. Duffy clearly portrays a sinister and lonely persona in both poems. In
Stealing the persona is presented as lonely and isolated from society so they resort to stealing just for
the pleasure of doing it. Similarly, in Education for leisure , an egotistical young adult is portrayed
who is killing living things to undo his intense isolation. These poems were written by Duffy to show
the terrible situation the UK faced in the 1980 s.
Duffy portrays the persona as cruel and callous through his heartless actions. In the comparison to the
snowman the persona described his mind as cold as the slice of ice . The ... Show more content on

While the character was kicking the snowman furiously again, again . His breath ripped out in rags .
He had lost his breath because he was so passionate about his fury that he forgot about his physical
ability. In this quote a metaphor is used and two short sentences are repeated. The short sentences
emphasize his lack of education, showing that he cannot form complex intellectual sentences. The fact
that the word is repeated twice indicates his passion for what he s doing. The metaphor is also an
example of hyperbole as it over exaggerates on how exhausted he is due to his inability to control his
emotions. This suggests that the persona is angry and frustrated at his life. The snowman could
symbolize what he doesn t have; therefore, portraying his rage towards the snowman. The snowman
could also be symbolized as himself, which shows his self destructive behavior as he tries to punish
the part of himself that he sees in the inanimate object. In the other poem, the character does
something similar as he squishes a fly against the window using his thumb . This shows how the
persona releases all his irritation on a vulnerable creature that cannot do anything to escape from the
situation. This suggests that he loves the feeling of over empowerment but it also suggests that he is a
coward as he displays his rage on a susceptible and tiny creature. It also portrays how cruel and
disheartened of a person he is as the fly didn t have anything to do with why he was left out and
isolated all along his life. Despite of this fact, he still went forward with killing the poor fly because of
his failure to control his rage. It is mentioned that he commits this purposeless murder with his thumb
. As the thumb is the biggest finger on our hands, it can symbolize that he is attempting to completely
overwhelm the tiny little creature; this can also be seen as

William Marshall Essay
William Marshall is considered by many to be the epitome of knighthood and chivalry as well as
being an outstanding ambassador for England during the turbulent twelfth and thirteenth centuries.
From a virtually obscure beginning, William evolves into one of the most dominant stately figures of
the time in England. During his brilliant military and political career, William served as knight for the
courts of Kings Henry II, Richard (the Lion hearted), and John. William was born around 1147 to John
Marshall and Sybil of Salisbury during the reign of King Stephen. His father, John Marshall, served as
a court officer and eventually earned the status of a minor baron. John Marshall was a shrewd soldier
and a skilled negotiator. He was the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He remained in Jerusalem for two years. Upon his return to England, Marshall is welcomed into the
King s military household. War, counsel and command were now his daily life. William is a common
figure in the court and currently does not have a prominent status. Marshall faithfully serves King
Henry II during the last years of his reign. The King has two heirs to the throne in Richard and John.
This presents a problem of sorts for Henry. Richard, the most capable and competent, appears destined
to descend the throne. Henry would prefer John in succeeding him as king, however he realizes that
Richard is by far the most qualified and prolific of the two. Toward the end of Henry s rule, Richard
rebels against his father, joining Phillip II of France. The two begin a series of battles against the King.
During this time period, William remains faithful to Henry. Marshall inevitably realizes that his
current enemy may well become his future king. This conflict does not influence William s fidelity for
his King. His loyalty to Henry remains in tact and is not compromised despite the fact that treason
might have seemed advantageous to him at the time. These wars coupled with his bitter relationship
with Richard take a heavy toll on the King. In 1189, Henry s health gradually deteriorates until he
eventually dies. amp;#9; Despite their past differences, Richard returns home to England for his father
s funeral and to assume his

The Stigma And Usage Of Recreational Drugs
The city of Philadelphia s recent policy changes regarding the stigma and usage of recreational drugs
has shown a positive impact on the community through decrease of incarcerations and medical
advancements. This essay argues that although state and local policy changes have shown to be more
effective than it s predecessor set by the Nixon administration, federal oversight and involvement is
still crucial to the success of applying a drug policy onto any type of population.
Recreational drugs, or otherwise known as club drugs are often described in American media as:

The administration s expectations were simple. ...policymakers believed that harsh law enforcement
action against those involved in drug production, distribution and use would lead to an ever
diminishing market in controlled drugs such as heroin, cocaine and cannabis, and the eventual
achievement of a drug free world, (Global Commission 5). While the administration thought brute
force would put a swift end to the increase in drug use, the opposite occurred. Combined with the
other nations that pledged alongside the harsh law enforcement action, drug usage increased across the
board from 1998 to 2008: Opiates usage by 34.5%, Cocaine rose 27%, and Cannabis rose 8.5% (6).
Current drug policies were proving to be ineffective, but the federal government took no immediate
action to make changes:
An analysis of the last 10 years alone shows a large and growing market. In spite of the increasing
evidence that current policies are not achieving their objects, most policymaking bodies at the national
and international level have tended to avoid open scrutiny or debate on alternatives (6).
When the federal government s approach to handling the growing drug epidemic showed no
improvement, local governments started to take power over the situation through the use of state laws,
penalties, and city policymaking. While the city of Philadelphia follow federal rulings and
Pennsylvania s state laws, city politicians work to adopt new policies that

Rebel Without A Cause Pop Culture
Midterm paper: Pop Culture: Sex, Drugs, Rock Roll. Rebel Without a Cause led way to the first on
screen teenage bad boy. James Dean plays a disgruntled teenager (Jim) is unsatisfied with life and the
patriarchy of following the rules. He hates that his dad lets his mom run the household and caters to
her versus the traditional father makes all the rules stance. Rebel Without a Cause allows for a deep
consideration of what the stereotypical 1950s teenager felt. The movie looks at teenage relationships
with the older generation and exclaims the disdain both parties share for one another during the
tremulous coming of age time. Jim s parents are not sure how to raise him the best way, and he loses
respect for them judging on how they interact with him and each other. The other main teenage
characters within the film are Judy portrayed by Natalie Wood, and John Plato Crawford portrayed by
Sal Mineo. Natalie Wood s character is probably reminiscent of what many young female teenagers
went through at the time. She deals with gender issues and must find her way as a developing young
woman when her parents seem clueless to her concerns and struggles. Her father does not know how
to guide her through this next stage of life and instead turns her away which causes her to feel bad
about herself. Her Mother has no real clue on how to help either of them as well. Plato is also a
striking character within the story that is utterly confused and has no real guidance in life. All three

Paraffin wax (or simply paraffin , but see alternative name for kerosene, above) is mostly found as a
white, odorless, tasteless, waxy solid, with a typical melting point between about 47 °C and 64 °C (
117°F to 147°F), and having a density of around 0.9 g/cm. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in ether,
benzene, and certain esters. Paraffin is unaffected by most common chemical reagents, but burns
readily. Pure paraffin wax is an excellent electrical insulator, with an electrical resistivity of between
10 and 10 ohm metre. This is better than nearly all other materials except some plastics (notably
teflon). It is an effective neutron moderator and was used in James Chadwick s 1932 experiments to

This property is exploited in modified drywall for home building material: it is infused in the drywall

at night, releasing the heat. Paraffin wax phase change cooling coupled with retractable radiators was
used to cool the electronics of the Lunar Rover. Wax expands

The Canterbury Tales And The Pardoner s Tale
In the late 1300s Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales, a story which follows the religious
journey of twenty nine people, who represent many aspects of Medieval society, to the Canterbury
Cathedral in southeast England. While on the pilgrimage the host of the tavern, where all the pilgrims
meet, suggests that the pilgrims each tell a story for the group s entertainment. Chaucer intended for
all the voyagers to tell two stories, but he unfortunately died before he could finish the book and only
got to write one story apiece. However, the goal of the storytelling contest is to tell the most moral
story possible, and the one who wins receives a free meal, which the rest of the pilgrims will pay for.
Although some of the other stories have good moral messages, The Pardoner s Tale and The Wife of
Bath s Tale are on different ends of the moral spectrum. The Pardoner s Tale focuses on a pardoner
who preaches against greed. While The Wife of Bath s Tale exemplifies what all women want in their
relationships: power. Although both The Pardoner s Tale and The Wife of Bath s Tale demonstrate the
value of the opinion of elders, the stories differ in their moral values and their storyteller s values. In
The Pardoner s Tale a group of revelrous men seek revenge after Death kills their friend. While on the
hunt for Death, the men find an old man, who has found Death, but Death has not taken the man yet.

Bioinformatics scientist when dealing with DNA microarray data face a challenge of how analysing
cluster data in order to discover important knowledge and features (p1). Different clustering methods

The Deposition Of Hybrid Coatings
Deposition of hybrid coatings is also possible using AP PECVD by utilizing vapor of hybrid organic
inorganic monomer and an organic monomer which can result in bringing excellent barrier properties.
[44] Also, as it is mentioned in the literature, with AP PECVD, working with a combination of two
precursors with different phases, is possible.[44] Also deposition of thin organic coatings with a
biomolecule embedded in them has shown for AP PECVD.[51, 52]
The different methods of plasma production, include microwave frequency plasma (MW), also known
as glow discharge, radio frequency (RF) plasma and arc plasma. By utilizing two electrodes in the
reaction chamber, the high frequency power is applied to the gas to be ionized. When microwave
frequency is used, plasma is produced by the application of a high frequency electric field of
magnitude of 2.45 GHz at a low pressure to a carrier gas such as oxygen, argon or nitrogen. At such
high frequencies, electrons due to their small masses, can accelerate toward the higher energy levels,
however, this is not the case for the heavier ions, therefore, the temperature of electrons increases, but
for heavier ions it will remain low, and so this is a non isothermal plasma. In the microwave plasmas,
the electrons with their high energy levels are responsible for collision with the gas molecules to
dissociate them and make them reactive for further plasma polymerization. This technique has been
used for deposition of conductive films from a

An Analysis Of Mccarthyism By Senator Joseph Mccarthy
You wear boots? You re a communist. You walk straight? You re a communist. You winked at me?
You re a communist. These are examples of saying that might be said by Senator Joseph McCarthy
during the 1950 s when McCarthyism was going on. There are many ways that Joseph McCarthy does
not meet the responsibilities of a U.S. senator because he doesn t effectively represent the people that
voted for him, be truthful toward thoughts, or have positive attitudes toward people especially the
people that criticize him. Some responsibilities of a U.S. Senator are writing and passing laws,
ratifying treaties with other countries, and representing the people that elected them. The Senators of

The Patient s Request For Euthanasia
INTRODUCTION
The right to end one s life based on individual terms instead of death occurring on its own time has
been highly controversial especially in palliative care. This term is called Euthanasia, which is defined
as the intentional termination of person s life, usually but not always at the person s request, and
usually the context of terminal illness or incurable suffering. Euthanasia has been categorized in terms
of active or passive actions, and voluntary, non voluntary, and involuntary actions. Active euthanasia
involves the killing of a patient instead of allowing the patient die passively by commissioning an
action that would directly cause the patient s death. The passive act of euthanasia is poetically
described as allowing nature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The possibilities of the patient to be coerced into the act due the inability to accurately determine the
level of sufferer s competency. Technical difficulties are also a concern for the anti euthanasia group.
If the medical professional make a diagnostic error and goes ahead with euthanasia, the patient would
not be given the chance to future treatment and procedures that would have offered a possibility of
living. The patient s suffering might be extended if there was a technical failure in administering an
easy death. This might be due to individual physiological difference that would cause a common
euthanasia procedure to produce a different account, hence prolonging the patient s suffering.
Opinions against euthanasia also defend their stance with the spiritual or religious belief of eternal
punishment for committing any act of suicide. For some, they encourage the principle of double effect
where treatment provided is aimed at elevating the pain but also causes death. The most dubious logic
of the anti euthanasia supporters is the Slippery Slope argument. This provides an ethical landscape
when making social changes in the society. It is a general belief that s socially and legally accepting
voluntary euthanasia would trigger the abuse of involuntary and non voluntary euthanasia. They
emphasize the morally relative difference when a person is

Case Study Of Tata Docomo
Tata DoCoMo launched its operations on June 24th, 2009 in Chennai, its unique selling proposition
was the one paisa per second billing plan for telephone calls. Anil Sardana who was the then
managing director at TTL, made the first call under the new tariff system that day to telecom minister
Adimuthu Raja. Ratan Tata, Tata Group s chairman at that time, said at the launch that the per second
tariff plan will create a paradigm shift for the phone users.
Sandhu studied various markets and similar tariff schemes before launching per second plan. One such
scheme was by the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co., which operated under the Du brand
in Middle East. But this had not achieved much success due to lack of adequate marketing support
system.
The company launched TV and print advertisements with catchy taglines such as Second is the new
minute . Within five months of the launch Tata DoCoMo attracted 10 million customers. Three fourths
of them came from other operators. Soon, all operators including market leaders Bharti Airtel,
Vodafone and Idea Cellular launched per second plans and a major tariff war erupted in the telecom
industry that had far reaching effects.
Here Tata Docomo was at an expanding stage. The offers it provided gave them good feedbacks and it
flourished in the market.

The Geography Of Greece
What is a peninsula in Europe featuring over 2,000 islands? This is no other than Greece. It has been
geographically shaped by tectonic plates as well as grabens occurring previously in its age.
Consequently, the land is rugged and hilly. In addition to geography, the Greeks have contributed
immensely to our world s culture. In Greece, you can find sculptures, such as the intricately designed
Discobolus. Arts and mathematics have also bloomed there due to people such as Archimedes,
Aristotle, and Euclid. Throughout this essay, Greece s location, shape, size, surrounding countries,

Congenital Heart Defect
It is very important to note that congenital heart defects are among the most common birth defects
affecting more than 40,000 children a year. The defects can be very complex and life threatening or
relatively benign. Treatment is different for every cardiac defect and usually involves medicines,
surgeries, heart transplants, and mechanical ventilation. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is
characterized by hypoplasia of the left ventricle, aortic stenosis, hypoplasia of the ascending aorta, and
coarctation (narrowing) of the aorta. In normal conditions the left side of the heart receives
oxygenated blood from the lungs and pumps it into the systemic circulation. In patients with HLHS,
the left ventricle and the aorta are underdeveloped. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
TOF involves four anatomical abnormalities of the heart: a large VSD, a stenotic pulmonary artery, an
overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy. The degree of cyanosis of TOF depends largely on
the size of the right to left shunt. Patients with left to right shunting may have little to no cyanosis and
are referred to as pink tetralogy. Patients with TOF may experience episodes of extreme cyanosis
called tet spells often during times of stress such as crying, dehydration, and fever. If left untreated
these hypercyanotic episodes can be fatal. Deletion of the gene on Chromosome 22, (22q11) is often
the cause of TOF among other congenital heart defects. Another gene associated with this anomaly is
the jagged1 gene, which can be diagnosed through the images of an echocardiogram. On an anterior
posterior chest x ray, the heart is shaped boot like. 3
Treatment after birth includes administering prostaglandin E to maintain the ductal patency and
pulmonary perfusion. In some cases Blalock Taussig shunt (BT shunt) can be performed to provide
adequate pulmonary blood flow to the lung. Surgeries are done over time from neonates to 4 6 months
of age. Mortality depends on the severity of TOF. It carries a 35% mortality rate if left untreated in the
first year of life and 50% mortality rate in the first three years of life. Genetic testing to look for these
mutations can be a viable option

Sara Baeartman Analysis
I reviewed the documentary on Sara Baartman. I am not sure exactly how I feel about the information
presented or how I feel about Ms. Baartman in general. My sons have a saying that drives me insane,
but oddly enough I am in the state I cannot stand to hear them say, I m feeling some type of way. I
guess this means they don t know the appropriate feeling to have, but they know they have some type
of emotion about the situation. Well oddly enough I am there. I am shocked that this young lady was
viewed as not being human based on her physical anatomy was more exaggerated than what they were
used to seeing. I am insulted by the fact, that after the lady had died, she still remained the object of
curiosity. I am saddened because Ms. Baartman either chose to expose herself to strangers or was
forced to. Whichever the case it may, the whole situation is unsettling to me. One of my thoughts is, if
she chose to perform in freak shows as an object to be mocked that she must have had very little self
esteem; however, if she was forced to be the object of people s fascination, I think the people forcing
her were despicable.

Sun Yat Sen Research Paper
Dr. Sun Yat sen was fortunately able to make it out of China alive. From that day forth he was a
marked man. Dr. Sun Yat sen fled to Japan where he continued to plan his revolution. He saw Taiwan
as a great asset and sent Chen Shao bai to set up a Taiwanese chapter of the Revive China Society.
From that moment on, Taiwan s fate was even more interwoven with China s. While in Japan, Dr. Sun
Yat sen collaborated with Chinese students that had strong patriotic feelings of restoring China to his
former glory. These revolutionist students joined forces with Dr. Sun Yat sen to form the
Revolutionary Alliance. The people of the United States, at this time, had a negative view of the
existing Chinese government. Dr. Sun Yat sen capitalized on this public opinion and went on a
fundraising trip for the Revolutionary Alliance. He was hugely successful. While he was in the United
States, he saw a newspaper article about a successful uprising in the Wuchang province. He

first visit he set up a command center in Araki cho. He spent forty four days there planning new
revolutionary uprisings. His next visit took place after the failed second revolution in 1913. He stayed
at a hotel during this trip that has now become a memorial. On his third visit in 1918 Dr. Sun Yat sen

was due to Japan s goal of making the Taiwanese people more loyal to Japan as opposed to China.

The Gospel of Matthew is a historical narrative that provides an introduction to the New Testament.
Matthew (also called Levi by the disciples in the Gospel of Mark and Luke) wrote the Gospel about
Jesus Christ the Savior during AD 60 65. Matthew was as well educated professional in the field of
collecting taxes in the area of Capernaum. It was there that he saw Jesus Christ and responded to the
calling to be with Jesus. He references 130 Hebrew Scriptures, emphasizing that Jesus is the
fulfillment of the messianic prophecies and types of the Old Testament (Hindson Towns, 2013).

The ridgeline is the highest area that offers a majestic view of the old city of Jerusalem. The Jewish
belief is that the Messiah will come to the earth at the location of the Mount of Olives on the Day of

of the location. There are over 150,000 graves sites that include the prophets Malachi and Zechariah,
who lived during 5th century BC. Mount of Olives is significant as it is an area traveled well during
the life of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Several churches have marked places; Pater Noster
church, the place according to tradition Jesus taught his disciples the Lords prayer; the tear shaped
church of Dominus Flevit ( the Lord wept ) where Jesus wept over the future destruction of the city;
Gethsemane (Gat Shemanim) where Jesus was betrayed and arrested (BibleWalks.com, 2015). In the
Gospel of Matthew 24 25, Jesus foretells the Olivet Discourse prophecy to His disciples. It was the
location that the disciples asked Jesus questions about the signs of the future kingdom or the Lord.

Sir Edmund Hillary was not necessarily someone people would have expected to set such a monumental record on Everest. Though Hillary had climbed many mountains before, his main profession, like that of his father, was beekeeping. But Hillary s drive to climb Mount Everest was unstoppable. He first took part in an expedition there in 1951 and then was invited to return for a subsequent expedition in 1953. The goal of that expedition was to reach Everest s summit. • 3. Electronic Cheques Are Electronic Copies Of A Regular... Electronic cheques are electronic copies of a regular cheque. You are only able to pay with an electronic cheque by sending an e mail of it to pay for the item you want. Electronic cheques are not the most common method of payment for customers as they are often sent to businesses and companies although they are able to be sent from person to person through a site such as eBay. Electronic cheques are also signed off digitally by the person/business receiving the cheque to confirm the receiving of the cheque. Electronic cheques allow users of e commerce to pay with an electronic cheque, as an alternative payment option rather than using a credit or debit card to purchase goods online. Electronic cheques are more common in the US than in the UK, where credit and debit cards are used by the masses. Electronic cheques give business, universities, private companies and personal online sellers the ability to let their customer make an online payment by e mailing their cheque to the business/person so they have their payment for their product. E commerce has allowed for this new method of payment that has never been used previously by the public and now adds a new type of convenient payment method for non credit/debit card users and customers who prefer not to give their bank details to PayPal or another online banking account. Electronic cheques however have their negatives, such as the time in which it takes for the transaction to take place. It can take up to a couple of days ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Silas Brady s Narrative With a snap of the reins and a click of his tongue, Silas Brady coaxed his horse into a faster pace, causing the tiny yellow house on wheels to lurch and rumble behind him. His instincts detected potential business as his professional eye admired the quaint scene at the bottom of the hill: a clapboard house and barn, a small corral, and a large plot of land ready for planting. From his position, the bright green canopy of an oak peeked above the roofline of the house. Aside from a single grazing cow, the homestead was quiet and still. A tall, fair haired man of middling years approached from behind the house to wait at the bottom of the porch steps though the lack of a customary greeting was glaringly obvious. As a precaution, Silas stopped his wagon a short distance while he set the brake and adopted a friendly mien knowing that an aggressive manner was counterproductive for business. Good day to you! • 13. Disadvantages Of Constantine Grocery As Constantine Grocery is growing from a small family business to a grocery store chain, the need for raising funds has increased as a result of the expansion of the business. A preliminary study has been conducted and the funds needed are believed to be around 135 million dollars. Our mission is to explore the owner s options to obtain that amount of money and to recommend the best option through demonstrating the advantages and disadvantages of each choice. 1 Issuing corporate bonds: These are considered one of the tools used by companies to raise finance. Bonds are also considered as debt and under there terms the borrower has to pay fixed interest, which is called coupon rate, on the loan and repay the principal upon maturity of the debt (Choudhry, 2004). Unlike selling shares, bonds are less risky to investors, allow business to buy back their bonds if they wanted to, and give the business the opportunity to deduct the interest from the business s taxes (The Legal Environment and Foundations for Business Law, 2012). The downside of issuing corporates bonds is the fact that they are loans and they could lead the business to bankruptcy if the business is highly leveraged. In addition to that, business has to follow the market in deciding the interest rates which increase their financial burden. Finally, while the company still retain their ownership after issuing bonds, failing to pay interests enables the investors to control the business through bankruptcy and they ... However, there are other technologies that can be used for the same conditions. For instance, the use of the latest eye surgery technology can help you achieve much better results as compared to using the special lenses mentioned above. Hal and Hotspur are the two most compared characters in Shakespeare s King Henry IV: Part 1 because of the many similarities and differences that are portrayed by Shakespeare. The audience is presented with many aspects about each character very early on in the play, and it is then that they create expectations which can either be confirmed or contradicted as the play goes on. Shakespeare usually portrays a character through the use of literary and dramatic techniques throughout his work, either subtle or obvious. In this particular text, he has used a range of textual techniques to portray the characteristic of arrogance shared by both, portray Hotspur s great honour, as well as Hal s notable dishonour, and the ways that the two contrast. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another way that Shakespeare portrays Hotspur as being an honourable character is in the very way that he speaks. Throughout the play, Hotspur talks in the sophisticated prose form, an example being But I remember when the fight was done,/ When I was dry with rage and extreme toil,/ breathless and faint, leaning upon my sword... The fact that Shakespeare has chosen for Hotspur to use prose when he talks suggests to us that he is able to speak very well with such a fiery passion about honourable things, like battles. In the given example, Hotspur uses such a colourful description of the aftermath of a battle, not to say how extremely well he fought, but giving a more modest account on how worn out he was, thus Shakespeare reinforces the aspect of honour in his character. Shakespeare has utilized techniques like foreshadowing, contrasting, setting and language to portray Hal as dishonourable. Shakespeare portrays Hal from the beginning as being dishonourable and unruly through the use of foreshadowing that is used by other characters. After talking about how honourable Hotspur is, King Henry IV contrasts him with his own son; riot and dishonour stain the brow/ of my young Harry. The heavy contrast here foreshadows Hal s character as being that of dishonour because we have just been given an image, through foreshadowing, about how grand Hotspur s honour is, then King Henry gives and ... I once dreamed about becoming a lawyer until I realized my desire for truly helping individuals master a sense of accomplishment and self worth. Admiring my mother being a licensed clinical social worker for the developmental disabilities population I too wanted to assist individuals with gratifying change through behavior modification. I later confirm my admiration and desire to assist in a person s self accomplishment working as a teacher aid during the summer of my freshman and sophomore years of high school. It was not only satisfying to see the over flow of joy whenever I helped a child reach a new goal but to know I assisted them to that accomplishment made it all worthwhile. Additionally, holding an interest in criminal justice and human services I found a child advocacy program which fit my desire to gain more knowledge of the law regarding child protection in conjunction to the psychological hardships abuse and neglect have on the child victim and their families. Further into my academic study of child advocacy I grew an intense passion for the psychological aspect of the study, not only for the child victims but for the offenders as well. I speculated the mens rea of child predators, what would make someone commit crimes on children more importantly how could those offenders be educated to correct their unacceptable societal behavior. Indiana and Purdue are two of the 22 public universities that make money (DiPrimio, 2011, p.1). Kansas State University is also one of the select few colleges that are profitable in the NCAA. La Migra Pat Mora In the first line of La Migra , Pat Mora opens the poem in an appealing way by stating Let s play La Migra as if the poem that the reader is about to read is about any ordinary game (1). The poem is a game of freedom that unfortunately many people face, putting at jeopardy the lives of all the characters involved if factors turn against their favor. The prize of the winner is very simple for each; if the immigrant woman wins she obtains the American dream, and if the border patrol wins he has accomplished his duty of keeping immigrants out of the country. The author creates two sections letting each of the two characters be vulnerable at one point but also have authority at another. In the first section, the border patrol is the one to hold the authority. He repeatedly states I can over the things he can do to the woman because he holds authority to do so (8,12). As an additional control, it may be helpful to construct a parallel movie where the motion of interest is absent. Set Σs = 2 and Σt =2, systematically vary τ and Σw and produce x y flow maps using the Vary Parameters and Save function in FlowJ. First examine how the output varies as a function of Σw. Pick the smallest value that generates a clear flow field for the moving object, then for that value of Σw examine the output as a function of τ. Similarly, in Education for leisure , an egotistical young adult is portrayed who is killing living things to undo his intense isolation. He had lost his breath because he was so passionate about his fury that he forgot about his physical ability. In this quote a metaphor is used and two short sentences are repeated. The short sentences emphasize his lack of education, showing that he cannot form complex intellectual sentences. The fact that the word is repeated twice indicates his passion for what he s doing. The metaphor is also an example of hyperbole as it over exaggerates on how exhausted he is due to his inability to control his emotions. This suggests that the persona is angry and frustrated at his life. The snowman could symbolize what he doesn t have; therefore, portraying his rage towards the snowman. The snowman could also be symbolized as himself, which shows his self destructive behavior as he tries to punish the part of himself that he sees in the inanimate object. In the other poem, the character does something similar as he squishes a fly against the window using his thumb . This shows how the persona releases all his irritation on a vulnerable creature that cannot do anything to escape from the situation. This suggests that he loves the feeling of over empowerment but it also suggests that he is a coward as he displays his rage on a susceptible and tiny creature. It also portrays how cruel and disheartened of a person he is as the fly didn t have anything to do with why he was left out and isolated all along his life. Despite of this fact, he still went forward with killing the poor fly because of his failure to control his rage. It is mentioned that he commits this purposeless murder with his thumb . The Canterbury Tales And The Pardoner s Tale In the late 1300s Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales, a story which follows the religious journey of twenty nine people, who represent many aspects of Medieval society, to the Canterbury Cathedral in southeast England. While on the pilgrimage the host of the tavern, where all the pilgrims meet, suggests that the pilgrims each tell a story for the group s entertainment. Chaucer intended for all the voyagers to tell two stories, but he unfortunately died before he could finish the book and only got to write one story apiece. However, the goal of the storytelling contest is to tell the most moral story possible, and the one who wins receives a free meal, which the rest of the pilgrims will pay for. Although some of the other stories have good moral messages, The Pardoner s Tale and The Wife of Bath s Tale are on different ends of the moral spectrum. The Pardoner s Tale focuses on a pardoner who preaches against greed. While The Wife of Bath s Tale exemplifies what all women want in their relationships: power. The Deposition Of Hybrid Coatings Deposition of hybrid coatings is also possible using AP PECVD by utilizing vapor of hybrid organic inorganic monomer and an organic monomer which can result in bringing excellent barrier properties. [44] Also, as it is mentioned in the literature, with AP PECVD, working with a combination of two precursors with different phases, is possible.[44] Also deposition of thin organic coatings with a biomolecule embedded in them has shown for AP PECVD.[51, 52] The different methods of plasma production, include microwave frequency plasma (MW), also known as glow discharge, radio frequency (RF) plasma and arc plasma. By utilizing two electrodes in the reaction chamber, the high frequency power is applied to the gas to be ionized. When microwave frequency is used, plasma is produced by the application of a high frequency electric field of magnitude of 2.45 GHz at a low pressure to a carrier gas such as oxygen, argon or nitrogen. At such high frequencies, electrons due to their small masses, can accelerate toward the higher energy levels, however, this is not the case for the heavier ions, therefore, the temperature of electrons increases, but for heavier ions it will remain low, and so this is a non isothermal plasma. In the microwave plasmas, the electrons with their high energy levels are responsible for collision with the gas molecules to dissociate them and make them reactive for further plasma polymerization. This technique has been used for deposition of conductive films from a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Patient s Request For Euthanasia INTRODUCTION The right to end one s life based on individual terms instead of death occurring on its own time has been highly controversial especially in palliative care. This term is called Euthanasia, which is defined as the intentional termination of person s life, usually but not always at the person s request, and usually the context of terminal illness or incurable suffering. Euthanasia has been categorized in terms of active or passive actions, and voluntary, non voluntary, and involuntary actions. The patient s suffering might be extended if there was a technical failure in administering an easy death. This might be due to individual physiological difference that would cause a common euthanasia procedure to produce a different account, hence prolonging the patient s suffering. Opinions against euthanasia also defend their stance with the spiritual or religious belief of eternal punishment for committing any act of suicide. For some, they encourage the principle of double effect where treatment provided is aimed at elevating the pain but also causes death. The most dubious logic of the anti euthanasia supporters is the Slippery Slope argument. This provides an ethical landscape when making social changes in the society.
