The Louvre is the museum I researched, and Virgin of the Rocks is the painting I decided to choose.
The Louvre Museum is the largest in the world, and is situated in Paris, France. Around 35,000 objects
are exhibited over an area of around 40 square miles. The Louvre is also the second most visited
museum in the world, trailing only the Palace Museum in China. The louvre has more than 9 million

The museum opened to the public on August 10, 1793. At this point it only had a little over 500
paintings in its possession. Most of these works were either royal art, or confiscated church property.
During the years of 1796 until 1801, the Louvre was closed due to maintenance and construction.

Leadership Review Paper When I read the two articles Becoming the Boss and A Survival Guide for
Leaders , I noticed various differences between the two. While both articles consist of tips and advice
for leaders, they go about that in two diverse ways. From the one article read, leadership is made out
to be an abundance of responsibility, while the other article starts by describing leadership as
dangerous and risky. Although responsibility and danger come with both good and bad in this case, I
felt very differently about the separate articles. However, in both readings there were things I liked
and disliked, and many things I would remember for future reference. In Linda Hill s article Becoming
the Boss She begins by writing about the common misconceptions of management. She does this to
help future leaders skip the first few days of despair that so many new bosses experience. Hill goes
about being a successful boss with the method of changing the myths and misconceptions into realities
of the job. A few ideas that are suggested in this article are to make connections outside of your
business that can benefit your workers, show good character, influence and treat your employees with
respect (listen to them), understand that control doesn t mean commitment, and let others help you.

There have been problems with gun laws in the past. Most of them are ineffective or they never get
passed. Recently, gun laws have been surfacing around the news. President Barack Obama wants to
ban certain guns and attachments, but Obama is taking the wrong approach. Instead of banning guns
outright, which he cannot do because it is our second amendment right to own guns, he should
approach reducing gun violence in a different way. Here is a quote from John Ashman saying that
eliminating certain guns does not stop gun violence: All firearms by nature are deadly, so eliminating
certain kinds of firearms doesn t directly address the issue in any meaningful way (Ashman para. 2).
This is why we need to take a different view from just banning guns. I m here to propose a better bill

High School Reflection Paper
As the class of 2018 works towards their last months of high school, those who have aspirations to
attend college will spend these last few months filling out endless applications, finding schools to take
the SAT or ACT, and putting the machine that high school has forced us to become on overdrive. We
will look back at all the long night and countless homework assignments that overlapped our
obstacles. For some, the struggles encouraged them to quit trying. For others, the struggles provoked
them. For the select few, the struggles are the reason we chose to strive. High School arrived like an
unexpected package at my doorstep. I had regressed into the familiar state of grievance due to the
losses of my biological mother and brother, but high school showed up offering a new chapter to my
life. As my year proceeded, I began to be bullied. This, along with the grieving process, threw me into
a depression that followed alongside with anxiety. People told me I was strong, but since they had no
clue that I actually didn t feel as strong as they were saying, I decided I needed expectations. These
expectations included ideas such as making good grades and speeding of the grieving process. I dove
into my studies and conformed to the mechanic ways high school administrators inconspicuously
advises us to become. I didn t realize focusing solely on school meant further deteriorating my mental
health. In my home, my mom and dad brought my future to light. My mom, in particular,
