shc 31 1.2 Essay
Sch 31: Promote communication in health, social care or children s and young people s settings. 1.2
Explain how communication affects relationships in the work setting. Communication plays a massive
part once building a relationship in the work setting. By regularly keeping effective communication
between practioners, parents/careers and children makes a positive working environment. The
relationships are mostly based on the type of communication between one another, communication is
not just by verbally but also the body language we show, facial expressions and our gestures.
Communication with children and young people is very important. When a child is new to the setting
you would want them to feel comfortable and safe in your ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only do you talk to them but also the child will response, or even approach you first to
communicate; either for a general conversation or to ask a question. All children are different, either it
is by the way they re brought up, their culture, have different beliefs, and in the way they
communicate for example; English is an additional language. If you had a child in the nursery who
had English as a second language, and knew few words, verbally communicating with this child
wouldn t be the first thing you would do. There are loads of different ways to do this for example;
using picture cars with words, not only will this technique help communicate but also help build the
childs English vocabulary. Another being demonstrating, for example; in an activity, lets say gluing
and sticking, show the child what to do by demonstrating the activity for them to then copy your
actions. Communication is very important, not only with the child/ young person but also their
parents/ careers. Parents and careers need to be kept updated with everything that happens with their
child/children and information that they need to know about the nursery itself. The stronger the
relationship between the practioners and the parent/ career the stronger the trust the parents/ careers
have with their child/ children in your care. Information should be shared on a day to day basis
between the practioner and the parent/ career abpout everything that happens in the nursery.

Juarez Essay
Juarez
The movie Juarez, starring Paul Muni, Bette Davis, Brian Aherne and Claude Rains, has the perfect
story line. There s action, love, violence and heartbreak, but most importantly, it brings attention to a
piece of history that is rarely recognized: monarchs in Mexico. Louis Napoleon III of France, played
by Claude Rains, saw the American Civil War as an opportunity to advance the French government.
Louis wanted to establish French influence in Mexico, which he knew was against the Monroe
Doctrine. He took advantage of the fact that America was in a weak state due to the war, and could
therefore not intervene as per the Monroe Doctrine. In the film, he discusses with his wife, Empress
Eugenie, about who should fulfill the duty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Maximilian had many supporters, it was not enough to fight against the Mexican
Republicans and Benito Juarez. On several occasions in the movie, Maximilian was asked to step
down from his position as emperor and allow Mexico to go back to its former democracy. Juarez sent
messengers as well as letters, and the final letter he sent mentioned a threat of Maximilian s blood
spilling if he did not oblige. Maximilian would not step down and insisted he was doing what he was
sent there to do. As the Civil War in the United States ended, the United States was finally able to help
Mexico fight against the French. This led to a weakening of the French presence in Mexico and
eventually Napoleon decided to pull out his troops. Napoleon was very persistent in his efforts of
getting Maximilian to leave Mexico, and almost succeeded, but not before Carlotta could go back to
France and beg him to change his mind, and instead support the monarchy. Napoleon would not budge
on his decision and Maximilian gave in and wrote his letter of abdication. When Maximilian read his
letter to his soldiers, they were extremely upset and General Mejia, who was an Indian and never
showed emotion, cried. Colonel Lopez protested Maximilian s abdication and told him that if he left, it
was surely a death sentence for all of them. Maximilian could not allow the men who had loved and
supported him, to die for him after he had gone, so he decided to stay and stand

St Paul Cathedral Research Paper
Main Body #3: Next in this paragraph I will be discussing the history of St. Paul Cathedral. This
building has a long history events starting in 1561.Before the Great Fire the St. Paul s Cathedral was
called the old St. Paul s , one of the largest Christian cathedrals in Europe. This 19th century (middle
ages) building was 178 meters long, and 149 meters high, till it was struck in 1561 by lightning. The
Greek cross design was made after the London Great Fire. Wren started to be more smart and
thoughtful between the 16th to 17th century of English cathedral design. The great model was

designs. The Warrant design. It was created in the 16th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The World Can Benefit From Water Privatization
The concept of race outlives slavery and limits emancipation through the manifested ideals of white
supremacy and white privilege. The criminal justice system sets back colored communities by
arranging political boundaries and looking back on the precedent set by the emancipation
proclamation. With the ideologies shared within the Doctrine of Discovery, the Tenets of the Eugenics
Movement, and Neoliberal Capitalism, some multinational companies attempt to privatize water.
While water has remained an unpriced commodity for most of the world, consumption and scarcity
have raised some questions on whether the world can benefit from water privatization.

They share ideology that the Caucasian race is superior and actions should be taken to eliminate or
reduce their existence. There is a Eugenic standpoint present in the privatization of water due to the
views taken against the community whose water is at risk. Those standing to privatize water are
selectively choosing impoverished areas in order to generate a profit and dehumanize the area. They
carefully select the area, their target and how they approach the situation with the most beneficial
outcome. In Walter Rodney s essay, How Europe Underdeveloped , he discusses how Europe
underdeveloped Africa and those repercussions. Africa s circumstances in the early 1900 s are similar
to the water privatization movement. Rodney states, The combination of being oppressed, being
exploited, and being disregarded is best illustrated by the pattern of the economic infrastructure of
African colonies notably, their roads and railways (110). Similarly, countries under scrutiny for
privatization of water are under the same pressure of oppression, exploitation and disregard, however
for their unsteady economic state and water.
Key elements of the Eugenics Movement that
Water privatization is being used to establish dominance, exploit, and holds genocidal characteristics.
Neoliberal Capitalism strongly goes into the movement of privatization because it is an approach that
large corporations share. Under Neoliberal Capitalism corporations

Comparing Romeo And Juliet And The Girl Who Fell From The Sky
The Rose by Bette Midler relates to characters in the stories of Romeo and Juliet by William
Shakespeare and The Girl Who Fell from the Sky by Heidi W. Durrow which include Romeo
Montague, and Rachel Morse by the love that they experience. Romeo portrays through the play that
he needs love and will do anything to keep it with Juliet. Although Rachel has many bad relationships
in the book, she learns that she can live independently and doesn t have to rely on a man. Both
characters portray the cons and pros of love.
Romeo longs for the tender love of Juliet. He goes great lengths in order to maintain his love. In the
early acts of the play, Romeo is ecstatic about the qualities in Juliet. He never loses that, but he does
learn that love is a double edged sword. In the first 6 lines of the Poem, Midler writes,
Some say love, It is a river,
That drowns the tender reed,
Some say love it is a razor,
That leaves the soul to bleed. (1 6). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He then learns that they have violent consequences. After Juliet is banned from seeing Romeo by her
parents, they order her to marry Paris. Juliet Refuses, and fakes her death. Still mourning, Romeo
learns that his love for Juliet caused her to commit suicide. Thus leaving his Soul to Bleed. These
violent delights have violent ends and in their triump die, like fire and powder Which, as they kiss,
consume (II.VI.V). Friar Lawrence explains to Romeo that his violent delights have violent ends. Just
like the poem, the delights that he lusts for will eventually stab himself in the back with the double

Essay about Issues Surrounding the Migrant Farm Worker
More and more health conscious individuals are scrutinizing the source of the food their family
consumes. However, even the most conscientious consumer is not fully aware of the exhaustive efforts
and struggle to get a juicy, ripe strawberry or that plump tomato in the middle of winter, even in
Florida. These foods are harvested and picked mostly by seasonal and migrant farm workers. Migrant
workers hail, in large part, from Mexico and the Caribbean, and their families often travel with them.
Migrant farm workers must endure challenging conditions so that Americans can have the beautiful
selection of berries, tomatoes, and other fresh foods often found at places like a farmer s market or a
traditional super market. Seasonal and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Over the past two decades the number of low skilled workers in the United States has increased
because of immigration, both legal and illegal. (Chiswick, 2006) In order to achieve the perfect
selection of produce that the American consumer has come to expect, a high price must be paid by the
laborers who make it possible. At the top of the list is their physical and mental well being. Migrants
and their dependents experience more frequent and more severe health problems than the general
population. Their illnesses are often caused by poor nutrition, lack of resources, lack of education, or
infectious diseases from overcrowding and poor sanitation. However, the health problems migrants
and their families face because of their low income status and unfamiliarity with the culture are
compounded by a migratory lifestyle and the inherent dangers and health risks involved in their
occupations. Stress and depression is a concern among migrants which may be related to isolation,
economic hardship or the environment which can hinder their productivity. The pressure imposed on
laborers by their employers, often as a result of their own economic pressure, to continue working
despite chronic pain or illness begins to take its toll on their overall health. The stress they experience
can contribute to the development of other health problems. The worker s physical well being is
challenged as well. Health problems inherent in this population can include back

Analyze Similarities And Differences Between The Populist...
Similarities and differences between the Populist Party and Progressive reformers
In the late 1800s businesses were taking over, many groups of people were upset with the power that
business had such as farmers. They started a Farmer s Alliance which later developed into the Populist
Party. The platform for the Populist Party included many things such as graduated income taxes and
regulations of railroads. Although the Populist Party had very little success, the Progressive reformers
wanted to continue the Populist Party s legacy. Both parties had similarities and differences but the
end goal was the same: To improve the lives of the people they were fighting for, economically,
politically and socially.

also getting payed very little for their products. The point of view was of poor farmers from
Minnesota and Kansas who were selling their crops for an unfair and low price. A Minnesota Farmer

Artificial Heart Valve Research Paper
Artificial heart valve is a device implanted in the heart of a patient with valvular heart disease. When
one of the four heart valves malfunctions, the medical choice may be to replace the natural valve with
an artificial valve. This requires open heart surgery. Valves are integral to the normal physiological
functioning of the human heart. Natural heart valves are evolved to forms that perform the functional
requirement of inducing unidirectional blood flow through the valve structure from one chamber of
the heart to another. Natural heart valves become dysfunctional for a variety of pathological causes.
Some pathologies may require complete surgical replacement of the natural heart valve with a heart

Caged ball Valves: In the caged ball type designs as shown in the Figure 8 [37] [38], a small ball acts
as a check valve within its containment. As blood flows through the valve the ball is pushed away
from the seat allowing the blood to pass through the opening. As the flow ends, the ball falls back
closing off the opening preventing the back flow of the blood. Hufnagels caged ball valve was the first
long term success of an implanted mechanical caged ball valve type. The Starr Edwards Ball valve
was a remarkably simple design that has been used for a long period of time, with only simple changes

The Debate Surrounding Australian Education Curriculum
Introduction
The debate surrounds Australian education curriculum has become one of the most critical topics by
educators. According to Kelly (1999), curriculum can be, and is, used, for many different types
teaching program. Kerr also defines curriculum as, All the learning which is planned and guided by
the school, whether it is carried on in groups or individually, inside or outside the school . (quoted in
Kelly 1983: 10; see also, Kelly 1999). These educational curriculums will not only focus on how
different curriculums are planned, but on the essence of curriculums that will ensure what have been
planned are justifiable in educational term. Therefore, it is important for educators and teachers to

The new English and EAL study design received most intense debate as they are the only primary core
units that are compulsory for every VCE students. While local educators proposed for a more practical
approach to the new English/EAL curriculum with stronger emphasis on speaking, reading and
creativity in students use of the language instead of focus on essay based text response and final exam.
However, state policy makers prefered to remain the strong academic focus in the new curriculum and
ensure all students reach a certain level of academic standard through SAC (school assessed
coursework) and final exam. This essay will discuss the essence of a good curriculum and then
compare those two different approaches by review a number of academic literature in order to discuss
similarity, strength and weakness of both approaches. The last part of this essay will discuss how the
new EAL curriculum balance between the two style of approaches and potential implication teachers
and schools can draw from the implementation of new EAL study design.
Nature of curriculum
Through last few decades, educators have been contantly arguing about the supposed nature of
education curriculum as each educator has

Re exposure to the Varicella zoster virus via close contact with individuals with the disease has been
proposed to boost specific immunity, therefore reducing the risk of contracting chicken pox. In
contrast, however, this may have lead to a higher incidence of shingles in older adults. The shingles
immunization is now recommended for people sixty years and older to offset contracting the shingles
virus. (Chavez, Santibanez, Gargiullo, Guris, 2007) Chickenpox is seasonal infectious disease, and
usually has an uptick of incidence in the late winter and early spring. For the most part, chicken pox is
a childhood disease, accounting for greater than 90% of incidences occurring in kids less than ten
years of age. It is typically nonthreatening in a healthy child, with a morbidity in immune
compromised patients and adults.
The agent factor is the presence of the virus, Varicella zoster, in the epidemiologic triangle. The host
factor would include mostly children less than fifteen years of age, but anyone who has not had
chickenpox would be vulnerable to contract the disease. In most cases, a person usually only has one
occurrence of chickenpox in their lifetime. After having chickenpox, however, the virus lies dormant
in nerve tissue the brain and spinal cord, and may come back as shingles

Sex Education Should Be Taught At School
Sex education can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century. Chicago s public schools
introduced the Nation s first formal sex education program which has raised controversy throughout
the years. Many believe that talking about sex in the classroom raises the initiation of such behavior.
Others believe that ignoring the subject keeps teens in the dark which leads them to make unsafe
decisions when they become sexually active. Whether it is at school or at home, teens must be taught
about the dangers of unprotected sex as well as abstinence. Being unaware of protection puts teens at
risk of becoming pregnant or contracting an STD or STI. Sex education must be taught at school and it
must be taught right, without lies or myths and without giving teens the idea that the only perfect time
for them to become sexually active is when they are married. If sex education was taught at school
instead of abstinence only education, it would help young adults make correct decisions when
becoming sexually active as well as helping them make wise choices that can affect their future.
From the beginning of the 1900 s, sex education became a topic that till this day will raise
controversy. As it started to be introduced in more schools, conservative groups began protesting to
ban sex education. They believed children should not be taught such behavior since it was a topic that
should be discussed at home; at a parent s choice. When the 1980 s AIDS epidemic began, these

Plagiarism In College Essay
Plagiarism in College Writing Introduction Plagiarism occurs in many forms. Self plagiarism and
inadvertent plagiarism are two forms of plagiarism. Students plagiarize for many reasons. Self
plagiarism is a form of plagiarism that is difficult to detect and often over looked. Inadvertent
plagiarism is often caused by sloppy work and poor citation preparation skills. Proper education and
practicing citations along with the use of online tools will assist the student in preparing citations. Self
plagiarism Self plagiarism is perhaps one of the most common but most overlooked forms of
plagiarism. Simply put, self plagiarism involves the handing in of the same work for more than one

To avoid inadvertent plagiarism students should learn and practice these skills until they are second
nature. Conclusion Avoiding plagiarism in academic writing is something that must be taken seriously
by both faculty and students. Many online tools exist that can be used to avoid plagiarism, both for the
student and the faculty member. As simple as plagiarism is to do, plagiarizing is just as easy to get
caught. Students who resort to plagiarism during their college years do so to due to laziness or even
poor time management. All this is being done when the students should be trying to learn to be better
writers. But by plagiarizing they are only hurting themselves, when they will not be able to write
successfully a paper of any kind when asked to do so. Learning to be a successful writer is a crucial
part of the college experience. Students who do not learn to become effective writers will feel the
effects of this after they finish college and enter the working world. Graduates will soon learn and
wish that they had taken the time to build their writing skills while in school. Becoming an effective
writer and avoiding plagiarism is sometimes a difficult task. The rewards in the end can be very
fruitful. Businesses often call upon employees to use their college writing skills on a daily basis. The

Roman Architecture And Its Impact On Society
Introduction Roman architecture is a thing of the past; however, it still has a large impact upon society
today. Roman buildings are what our buildings were derived from, a lot of the art we think of when we
see a building was once thought of by the romans, was once built by the romans, and some of these
buildings are still standing today, not many, but a few. Now, roman architecture is significant because
of how it affected the growth of our architecture, how it evolved changed how we evolved. This will
show how roman architecture began as a thing of functionality and grew to a thing of beauty. Roman
period Roman architecture was originally founded by the Greeks, and was, in reality, a continuation of
Greek architecture. Some say the Romans brought architecture to a new level, I say that the romans
just enhanced what was already there. The Romans adopted new techniques, used new materials, and
combined existing techniques/materials with creative designs to create new architectural structures. A
few examples of these new structures are; the basilica, triumphal arch, aqueduct, amphitheater,
granary building, and residential housing. Many of these additions to architecture were spurred by
Rome s need to grow. The reason that these buildings grew so large and became so wide spread was
because they were funded by a state apparatus, causing these constructions to survive until the present
day. Roman architects continued to follow the guidelines established

Career Counseling Over the Lifespan Essay
Abstract
Career counseling over the lifespan has more than an occupational focus, it deals with the person s
entire being with a vision that includes one s lifespan. Career counseling takes into consideration
character development, character skills, life roles, individual life and work history, goals, and
obstacles. A career counselor not only assists a client with a career plan, but also with a life plan. This
paper focuses on two categories of career counseling. The first focus is the history of career
counseling as a field of study with the emphasis on when and why career counseling began (1800s as
a study of how the shape of one s head relates to vocational choice), who and what influenced it
(Sizer, Parsons, and Davis), and how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This has progressed to an approach that deals with career development throughout a lifespan (Pope,
2000). Theories and assessments have developed that look at the many variables of work, personality,
interests, and needs (Whiston, 2003). The study has broadened with the use of technology and has
been challenged by the many considerations of multiculturalism (Lewis Coursol, 2007; Whiston,
2003). A creative God who modeled work and rest created man and his relationship with work. Career
counseling provides an opportunity to cultivate the relationship of God and man, assists with the
discovery of one s callings and talents, and enables one to fulfill God s plans for his or her life.
The History and Development of Career Counseling
Pope (2000) describes how social reform, economic change, and federal legislation were significant
factors in the evolution of career counseling. The development of career counseling began as a social
movement linked to economic changes. In the early 1900s, young people were leaving the family
farms and moving to cities to find employment. With this new growth and few regulations of labor,
laborers were exploited and misused. In the first decade of the twentieth century, one half million
children from 10 13 years of age were employed in factories (Pope, 2000). The end of World War I
and the Depression influenced the beginning of educational guidance in the public school system.

Data Source 4.2.2 Forward Error Correction Coding A typical problem in OFDM based systems is a
high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The available RF power amplifiers usually have a limited
linear dynamic range. This is not a problem for constant amplitude signals, however, in OFDM, due to
IFFT operation, some of the sub carriers add constructively to large amplitudes while others add
destructively. The amplitude of the signals thus varies randomly and for large amplitude signals, non
linear amplifications cause errors. Therefore, error correction codes are employed. In HiperLan2, the
data is coded with a convolutional encoder of rate 1/2. The convolutional encoder uses the industry
standard generator polynomials, g0 = 1338 and g1 = 1718, and is shown in Figure 4.3. The bit denoted
as A is the first output from the encoder while the bit denoted B is the second one. Higher code rates
are derived via puncturing. In puncturing, some of the encoded bits in the transmitter are removed ...

Government Dishonesty In The United States
The history of the United States is one of mixed virtue. We have a republican form of government in
which congressmen are directly elected by the people and the president is indirectly elected by the
people. We also have a higher standard of living than many nations. But this does not make our history
a cleanly pristine one considering the institution of slavery, a lack of civil rights for minorities, and the
denial of women s suffrage, that were once a part of this nation s existence. In defense, America has
worked to right the aforesaid wrongs in order build a better nation. This is the positive direction that
we have historically gone in, but more can be done. Governmental dishonesty is a problem that has
notably occurred in the last few decades. Watergate, the Iran Contra Affair, No new taxes empty
promises, Clinton s Lewinski Affair, and some of the faulty evidence used to justify the 2003 Iraq War,
should set off an alarm in the American people convincing them that something needs to be done in
order to curb governmental dishonesty. But how can we require officials to be honest with the people
when there is a right to free speech provided by the first amendment? We can establish a constitutional
amendment requiring that all elected and appointed governmental officials, and those running for an
elected office, are intellectually honest to the best of their ability in their arguments when addressing

Workforce Abstract The Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) makes up 2% of the Army Acquisition
Workforce of more than 37,000 acquisition professionals (Craig A. Spisak, 2016). The Army Medical
Command has five acquisition career fields (ACF) that make up its workforce of acquisition
professionals; program management, contracting, science and technology managers, information and
technology, and test and evaluation. The MEDCOM acquisition workforce (MAW) comprises of
civilians and military members with an additional skill identifier (ASI) known as the 8X. This review
will focus on MEDCOM s ability to improve its acquisition workforce among the five ACFs. Mr.
Spisak states, by valuing individuals and group potential, the Human Capital Strategy Plan points the
way to success for the Army Acquisition Workforce (Spisak et al., p. 162). MEDCOM has strict
regulatory mandates toward managing their acquisition personnel separately from but inclusively with
the Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW). The Army Medical Command cannot wait on the
Acquisition Support Center (ASC) to manage nor build their talent nor can MEDCOM expect their
subordinate acquisition activities to function without guidance. These improvement

The article by John Burnett et al. depicts how the field of sports is one of the most highly visible and
rapidly growing segments of the marketplace. Ultimately, the sports market is estimated to have a
sales value of over $179 billion and an annual growth rate of 20%. The article discussed a study that
was conducted to gain a better understanding of sports spectators and participants in terms of their
socioeconomic characteristics, media habits, and attitudes. The results depicted revealed participants
are younger, better educated, have a larger proportion of males, and more likely to have better jobs
than spectators. In terms of media habits, high male and female participants were found to be heavy
users of sports media.

Reflection On How I Learn English
This semester, you helped me learn that English isn t just about writing, that it is about learning, too.
You taught me how to write an article reflection, like the one about how sleep deprivation can cause
damage to your health. You also taught me how to annotate articles like how eating too much added
sugar may be killing you. Another thing that I learned from you this semester was the WODs. They
helped me expand my vocabulary and make my writing more interesting. An assignment we did this
year was shakespearience. If you hadn t given us this assignment, then I probably would never have
read any plays by Shakespeare. least helpful assignment was shakespearience because you never
genuinely talked about his plays in class. You said we had to read the books, but we never went over
them in class. What if we had questions about the book? You never took the time to check up on us to
see how we were doing. The best and most helpful assignment yo taught us was the one about Malala.
It genuinely helped me(and the rest of the class) understand what is happening to girls and women in
third world countries. I understand now the importance of education. People all around fight for what
we have so easily. We take for granted what we have and most of us don t know what is happening to
others. So this lesson about Malala taught me and hopefully the rest of my class to appreciate what we
have. Nothing that you taught us needs to be revisited. I understand mostly everything that has been
learned this semester, it just took me a lot of time to process it. My class last year, mostly did just
personal narratives or book reports. I just wasn t expecting you to be so hard on us, especially the first
semester. Although, you pushed my class and me to new limits, and I hope to do better the next part of
this school year.
As my teacher, I honestly think of you are a great teacher yet sometimes, you seem like you don t care
about us. For example, there was this one time in class when we were taking an assessment and when
I asked you for help, you just ignored me and looked away. Sometimes I wish you would try to help us
more on things we are struggling with instead of just not caring at all. Your strengths are that you are

Manifestations Of Mass Culture In The 1950s
Manifestations of Mass Culture in the 1950 s such as Consumerism, Suburbia, Materialism, were seen
as a new prosperity combined with a buy now pay later attitude began in America. These
manifestations were realized primarily as new forms of entertainment were disseminated to the
American public through TV. 76 million Baby Boomers born between 1946 and 1964 provided the
largest generational market in American history. Marked by the end of World War 2 and bolstered by
the emerging prosperity of this period a number of mass media fueled phenomenon began to grow into
existence. Television, Suburbia, and Materialism lead the way for aspired to lifestyles of the American
Masses. Arguably most important of these three was TV in that it provided the medium by which
practically all of the manifestations of Mass Culture were disseminated among the populace.
Affordable by most, by 1960 ninety percent of American households owned a TV. Supplying the
medium by which both the markets and the supply side of the American economy were watching and
capitalizing on, recreated and revolutionized much of the American economy. Most TV programing in
the late fifties and early sixties was generally conservative and projected mainstream traditional
American values. By pleasantly creeping into homes with this mainstream methodology TV became
an institutional mainstay and a necessity of the American way of life. From overnight fads to religion,
many new products were entering mainstream

Ticketmaster Essay
#1) How did Ticketmaster s move toward greater transparency help its standing with customers? In
what ways might transparency be potentially detrimental?
When Nathan Hubbard, the CEO of Ticketmaster took over the company, he immediately noticed that
there was a negative press regarding Ticketmaster and how the company was conducting business. Mr.
Hubbard noticed that the main problem with the company was that the customers as well as the artists
were unhappy. Mr. Hubbard directed his main focus on customer satisfaction in order to be able to
keep its customers. Mr. Hubbard, Stanford MBA educated CEO used Customer Satisfaction system
which helped him see three main issues that were affecting the lower ticket sales, artist boycotts, and

How has this helped the company? How might it have harmed it?
When the CEO of Ticketmaster decided to change the company s vision to more customer friendly, it
gained the customers trust. The customers, venue organizers and artists saw that Ticketmaster s
management was willing to listen what they have to say and were open to make changes in order to
make it better for everyone and increase profits as well as ticket sales. One of the biggest change that
Ticketmaster did is to provide an interactive seating chart which allowed customers to pick their own
seats instead of the best available seats picked by Ticketmaster. Another change that the company
made was that the customers were allowed to pay for the tickets and print at the same time without
any fees. In addition to that, Ticketmaster started not charging promoters and venue owners any fees
when they were trying to promote the concert, games or theatrical venues. This was a risky move on
Ticketmaster s part; however, it paid off at the end based on an increased sales of tickets, and more
artists started doing business with them. Moreover, Ticketmaster started alerting Facebook friends of
the customers who are going to what show, which encouraged more people to purchase their tickets
and go see whatever show their friends were going to see.

Analysis Of The Treasure Of Lemon Brown
In the realistic fiction story, The Treasure of Lemon Brown by Walter Dean Myers, Greg Ridley a
fourteen year old boy, starts off by getting a lecture from his dad, about his poor grades in math. Greg
is upset and he walks away from his house to get some alone time. As Greg is walking, a rainstorm
strikes. While he is trying to find shelter, he comes upon an abandoned apartment complex. As Greg
walks in he finds out that he isn t the only one in the apartment, an old man named Lemon Brown is
also there. Lemon is there for a different reason though. He is trying to hide his treasure, an old
harmonica, from the neighborhood thugs. The thugs weren t successful in getting Lemon s treasure.
Greg returns home with a valuable lesson learned, that he should value things in life. Greg changes
from the beginning of the story to the end of the story. At the beginning, Greg was careless about his
grades in math. Next, he was curious when looking for a place to hide from the rain. Lastly, he ends
the story off by being a caring person when he continuously asked Lemon Brown if he was okay. Greg
Ridley was a dynamic character who changed from careless, to curious, to caring, after his encounters
with Lemon Brown.
In the book, The Treasure of Lemon Brown Greg Ridley was a careless boy. On page 1 it states, But
the principal had ended the suspense early when she sent the letter saying, that Greg would probably
fail math if he didn t spend more time studying. He was careless because

How The Fur Trade Changed Western Part Of Canadian History
For about two hundred years, fur trade has been the core force in shaping western part of Canadian
history since the establishment of the Hudson s Bay Company in 1670. For almost all the time, women
and non whites were usually dismissed in Canadian historical records due to the idea of patriarchy and
racialization. Sometimes because their works were mostly unpaid, their contributions were easily
ignored. Most of scholars have considered that the fur trade was a male dominated activity. Therefore,
although Aboriginal and Metis women played a role as instrumental as men in the fur trade between
Europeans and First Nations, their functions have often been ignored. However, it must be admitted
that the fur trade success cannot be accomplished without the participation of Native and Metis
females.
Firstly, intermarriages which also can be called a la facon du pays between First Nation women and
males who were French Canadians, British, American and Indian employees of the fur trade
companies was crucial in the fur trade. The traders from various trade companies usually stayed with
Aboriginal ladies for a long time in a visiting and guiding relationship at the beginning of the fur
trade. Since there were only very limited number of white ladies in the colonies, the male European
traders started to marry with Indian girls because these men needed women for both sexual and
spiritual requirements. However, their marriages served to bring huge
profits for everyone,

Communication plays a massive part once building a relationship in the work setting. By regularly keeping effective communication between practioners, parents/careers and children makes a positive working environment. The relationships are mostly based on the type of communication between one another, communication is not just by verbally but also the body language we show, facial expressions and our gestures. Not only do you talk to them but also the child will response, or even approach you first to communicate; either for a general conversation or to ask a question. All children are different, either it is by the way they re brought up, their culture, have different beliefs, and in the way they communicate for example; English is an additional language. If you had a child in the nursery who had English as a second language, and knew few words, verbally communicating with this child wouldn t be the first thing you would do. There are loads of different ways to do this for example; using picture cars with words, not only will this technique help communicate but also help build the childs English vocabulary. Another being demonstrating, for example; in an activity, lets say gluing and sticking, show the child what to do by demonstrating the activity for them to then copy your actions. Communication is very important, not only with the child/ young person but also their parents/ careers. Parents and careers need to be kept updated with everything that happens with their child/children and information that they need to know about the nursery itself. The stronger the relationship between the practioners and the parent/ career the stronger the trust the parents/ careers have with their child/ children in your care. Information should be shared on a day to day basis between the practioner and the parent/ career abpout everything that happens in the nursery. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There s action, love, violence and heartbreak, but most importantly, it brings attention to a piece of history that is rarely recognized: monarchs in Mexico. Louis Napoleon III of France, played by Claude Rains, saw the American Civil War as an opportunity to advance the French government. Louis wanted to establish French influence in Mexico, which he knew was against the Monroe Doctrine. He took advantage of the fact that America was in a weak state due to the war, and could therefore not intervene as per the Monroe Doctrine. On several occasions in the movie, Maximilian was asked to step down from his position as emperor and allow Mexico to go back to its former democracy. Juarez sent messengers as well as letters, and the final letter he sent mentioned a threat of Maximilian s blood spilling if he did not oblige. Maximilian would not step down and insisted he was doing what he was sent there to do. As the Civil War in the United States ended, the United States was finally able to help Mexico fight against the French. This led to a weakening of the French presence in Mexico and eventually Napoleon decided to pull out his troops. Napoleon was very persistent in his efforts of getting Maximilian to leave Mexico, and almost succeeded, but not before Carlotta could go back to France and beg him to change his mind, and instead support the monarchy. Napoleon would not budge on his decision and Maximilian gave in and wrote his letter of abdication. When Maximilian read his letter to his soldiers, they were extremely upset and General Mejia, who was an Indian and never showed emotion, cried. Natural heart valves are evolved to forms that perform the functional requirement of inducing unidirectional blood flow through the valve structure from one chamber of the heart to another. Chicago s public schools introduced the Nation s first formal sex education program which has raised controversy throughout the years. Many believe that talking about sex in the classroom raises the initiation of such behavior. Others believe that ignoring the subject keeps teens in the dark which leads them to make unsafe decisions when they become sexually active. Whether it is at school or at home, teens must be taught about the dangers of unprotected sex as well as abstinence. Being unaware of protection puts teens at risk of becoming pregnant or contracting an STD or STI. Sex education must be taught at school and it must be taught right, without lies or myths and without giving teens the idea that the only perfect time for them to become sexually active is when they are married. If sex education was taught at school instead of abstinence only education, it would help young adults make correct decisions when becoming sexually active as well as helping them make wise choices that can affect their future. From the beginning of the 1900 s, sex education became a topic that till this day will raise controversy. As it started to be introduced in more schools, conservative groups began protesting to ban sex education. Now, roman architecture is significant because of how it affected the growth of our architecture, how it evolved changed how we evolved. This will show how roman architecture began as a thing of functionality and grew to a thing of beauty. Roman period Roman architecture was originally founded by the Greeks, and was, in reality, a continuation of Greek architecture. Some say the Romans brought architecture to a new level, I say that the romans just enhanced what was already there. The Romans adopted new techniques, used new materials, and combined existing techniques/materials with creative designs to create new architectural structures. A few examples of these new structures are; the basilica, triumphal arch, aqueduct, amphitheater, granary building, and residential housing. Many of these additions to architecture were spurred by Rome s need to grow. The reason that these buildings grew so large and became so wide spread was because they were funded by a state apparatus, causing these constructions to survive until the present day. In data output, 144 samples per frame are used, and data rate is 36 Mbps. Figure 4.2: Data Source 4.2.2 Forward Error Correction Coding A typical problem in OFDM based systems is a high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The available RF power amplifiers usually have a limited linear dynamic range. This is not a problem for constant amplitude signals, however, in OFDM, due to IFFT operation, some of the sub carriers add constructively to large amplitudes while others add destructively. The amplitude of the signals thus varies randomly and for large amplitude signals, non linear amplifications cause errors. Therefore, error correction codes are employed. In HiperLan2, the data is coded with a convolutional encoder of rate 1/2. The convolutional encoder uses the industry standard generator polynomials, g0 = 1338 and g1 = 1718, and is shown in Figure 4.3. • 26. Reflection On How I Learn English This semester, you helped me learn that English isn t just about writing, that it is about learning, too. You taught me how to write an article reflection, like the one about how sleep deprivation can cause damage to your health. You also taught me how to annotate articles like how eating too much added sugar may be killing you. Another thing that I learned from you this semester was the WODs. They helped me expand my vocabulary and make my writing more interesting. An assignment we did this year was shakespearience. If you hadn t given us this assignment, then I probably would never have read any plays by Shakespeare. least helpful assignment was shakespearience because you never genuinely talked about his plays in class. You said we had to read the books, but we never went over them in class. What if we had questions about the book? You never took the time to check up on us to see how we were doing. The best and most helpful assignment yo taught us was the one about Malala. It genuinely helped me(and the rest of the class) understand what is happening to girls and women in third world countries. I understand now the importance of education. People all around fight for what we have so easily. We take for granted what we have and most of us don t know what is happening to others. So this lesson about Malala taught me and hopefully the rest of my class to appreciate what we have. Nothing that you taught us needs to be revisited. I understand mostly everything that has been learned this semester, it just took me a lot of time to process it. My class last year, mostly did just personal narratives or book reports. I just wasn t expecting you to be so hard on us, especially the first semester. Although, you pushed my class and me to new limits, and I hope to do better the next part of this school year. As my teacher, I honestly think of you are a great teacher yet sometimes, you seem like you don t care about us. For example, there was this one time in class when we were taking an assessment and when I asked you for help, you just ignored me and looked away. Sometimes I wish you would try to help us more on things we are struggling with instead of just not caring at all. Your strengths are that you are very ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How has this helped the company? How might it have harmed it? When the CEO of Ticketmaster decided to change the company s vision to more customer friendly, it gained the customers trust. The customers, venue organizers and artists saw that Ticketmaster s management was willing to listen what they have to say and were open to make changes in order to make it better for everyone and increase profits as well as ticket sales. One of the biggest change that Ticketmaster did is to provide an interactive seating chart which allowed customers to pick their own seats instead of the best available seats picked by Ticketmaster. Another change that the company made was that the customers were allowed to pay for the tickets and print at the same time without any fees. In addition to that, Ticketmaster started not charging promoters and venue owners any fees when they were trying to promote the concert, games or theatrical venues. This was a risky move on Ticketmaster s part; however, it paid off at the end based on an increased sales of tickets, and more artists started doing business with them. Moreover, Ticketmaster started alerting Facebook friends of the customers who are going to what show, which encouraged more people to purchase their tickets and go see whatever show their friends were going to see. #3) If you were the CEO of one of the world s most hated companies, what would be your top three ... • 31. How The Fur Trade Changed Western Part Of Canadian History For about two hundred years, fur trade has been the core force in shaping western part of Canadian history since the establishment of the Hudson s Bay Company in 1670. For almost all the time, women and non whites were usually dismissed in Canadian historical records due to the idea of patriarchy and racialization. Sometimes because their works were mostly unpaid, their contributions were easily ignored. Most of scholars have considered that the fur trade was a male dominated activity. Therefore, although Aboriginal and Metis women played a role as instrumental as men in the fur trade between Europeans and First Nations, their functions have often been ignored. However, it must be admitted that the fur trade success cannot be accomplished without the participation of Native and Metis females. Firstly, intermarriages which also can be called a la facon du pays between First Nation women and males who were French Canadians, British, American and Indian employees of the fur trade companies was crucial in the fur trade. The traders from various trade companies usually stayed with Aboriginal ladies for a long time in a visiting and guiding relationship at the beginning of the fur trade. Since there were only very limited number of white ladies in the colonies, the male European traders started to marry with Indian girls because these men needed women for both sexual and spiritual requirements. However, their marriages served to bring huge profits for everyone, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
