had to just get by everyday, but could begin exploring morality. No other Renaissance author
characterizes this more than William Shakespeare in the early 1600s. His plays highlight the internal
moral struggle that every man goes through, the concept of what is right and what is wrong in a world
that is full of gray areas. More specifically he deals with the concept of honor and morality in several

Additionally, John embodies naturalism in it s own way, by including seemingly unimportant
information in dialogue. This is another display of naturalism, because in real life people do include
information that is irrelevant to the larger story. The characters, mostly Mertis, seem to ramble on
about things that don t always connect directly to the matter at hand. But Mertis does this in a way that
is familiar; like most real old people, she tends to get lost on a tangent. This extraneous dialogue
furthers the realistic feel of the play, but also shines light on the deeper psychology of the characters in

The Collapse Of The Space Shuttle Before Columbia
In the year of 2003, on February 1, a tragic accident had occurred in the atmosphere above Texas as
the space shuttle called Columbia was on it s way to land at the Kennedy Space Center. The shuttle
itself was on its 28th mission and was just one of the five space shuttles that was used amongst
NASA. But on this particular day, it wasn t like the rest because astronauts are supposed to return
home safely; that s not what happened on this day. There were seven astronauts that were inside the
shuttle. Their names were Rick Husband, David Brown, Michael Anderson, Laurel Clark, William
McCool, Kalpana Chawla, and Ilan Ramon. They had all died in an explosion within the shuttle itself.
NASA was trying to figure out how this could ve happened. They ran through many possibilities of
what could ve gone wrong and they came to the conclusion that the reason the shuttle had exploded
when coming through the atmosphere was because a chunk of foam hilt a wing of the craft. This was
suspected to be the reason when tape was analyzed of the takeoff before Columbia went into space.
NASA wanted to know if it was the real reason but didn t want anyone else to know of the issues
besides them. The Department of Defense had asked permission from the people working for NASA
to use orbital spy cameras to analyze the problem. But NASA had said no to their offer and went on to

people. I will be discussing mainly about how USA Today has covered the disaster and provide
examples as to how the agency makes it seem as though NASA was the one responsible for the
disaster and how the news agency tries to make it seem as though NASA wasn t concerned about the

For the first article, titled A year after Columbia, weaknesses remain at NASA by Alcestis Cooky
Oberg of USA Today, the author writes that NASA has not learned from its past mistakes with the
Columbia disaster and continue to put people in danger. This is an exaggeration by USA Today in an
effort to demote the image of NASA to the public. In the beginning paragraph of the article, the author
writes We always knew that overconfidence, carelessness and flawed decision making by NASA
leaders were recipes for doom. This is prove that the writer is trying to make NASA look guilty by
