Grecian Influence
The Romans took from the Greeks the three orders of architecture, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian, based
on different forms of column and the capital which surmounted it, and added a hybrid of their own,
known as Composite. (The Romans, n.d.) It is not a secret the Romans admired and took on Greek
culture, but the field of architecture the Romans created their own style. That is not to say the
Composite is free of Grecian influence as the influence from the Corinthian style is doubtless present
in the columns. Nevertheless, creating the Composite does not diminish the magnificence in the Greek
s three renown architecture styles. In any case, Grecian Parthenon and Roman Pantheon have proofs
of culture s influence on art. Pericles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed, even the name the Pantheon refers to many or 12 gods, undoubtedly Grecian in origin. The
service of foreign gods did not end with Greece, and through propaganda of gods like Serapis, a half
Egyptian half Greco god, to even political means the necessity the Roman people had for religion is
undeniable. While many believe the Greeks and the Romans to serve the same gods, the Romans were
mixing and making them their own proving they only could construct the Pantheon in the same
manner. As I expressed before, the Grecian culture influenced the Romans, and in turn the Romans
made something completely their own, the Composite. The Pantheon shows its order through the
Composite s classic Corinthian columns, and Roman circular floor plan. The Pantheon may have an
unusual floor scheme as a rectangle and circle merge together to create it, but this shape facilitates the
element of symmetry. The Pantheon took very balanced, and the dome and triangular roof produce the
element of variation. Globally, professionals consider the Pantheon one of the best preserved buildings
of all time. While there are many factors, the name of many gods protected the Pantheon throughout

Analysis Of Phillis Wheatley s Thoughts On The Works Of...
An important point inside Phillis Wheatley s story, Thoughts on the works of Providence, is that God
is visible in a number of things in nature. But, however, we must open our eyes and soul to actually
see it. She refers to the Sun a lot in the poem, and it subjects how big God is and his abilities, not just
representation. Her thoughts are that the sun is able to provide for the things on earth, such as humans,
plants, and a number of things. For instance, Wheatley s states that, So far beneath from Him the
extended earth, vigor derives, and every flowery births. It s a metaphoric statement that implies God is
represented by the sun therefore giving life to everything on planet earth and more. Her use of
symbolism also gives a great representation

Gender Roles in Shakespeare
Gender Roles in Shakespeare It is a peculiar feature of Shakespeare s plays that they both participate
in and
reflect the ideas of gender roles in Western society. To the extent that they reflect existing
notions about the proper roles of men and women, they can be said to be a product of
their society. However, since they have been studied, performed, and taught for five
hundred years, they may be seen as formative of contemporary notions about the
relationships between males, females, and power.
Derrida was right in asserting that there is no outside to the text. His claim is that every text is
affected by every other text and every other speech act. As an instance, most of Shakespeare s
plays have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The contrast between the empowering masculinization of female characters and the paralyzing
feminization of males make the latter more appropriate to a tragedy or a satire, the former more useful
in comedy.
Rosalind speaks several times in ways that display an awareness of her (doubly) altered gender, for
instance linking boys and women as cattle of this color (III.ii.414).
In a more radical maneuver she addresses the audience as a male epilogue. If I were a woman ...
(AYLI epilogue) not only calls attention to the gap between the gender of the performer and the
gender of the actor, but demands that the audience recognize of the actor as actor. The tensions set up
in the play remain in suspense until Ganymede disappears and Rosalind reappears near the end of Act
V. All the complications surrounding Orlando, Phebe, and Silvius are resolved as Rosalind gives up
her assumption of a man s prerogatives.
It is easy to assume that dominant males in Shakespearean comedy conform to norms of expectation
and behavior, but it is more difficult to determine what those expectations may have been in the
Elizabethan era. Psychologists have examined the development of sexual awareness as part of identity.
Much psychological theory holds that the male child s initial awareness as Other

Juvenile Criminals
I believe juveniles with a major criminal background, such as murder should be sued as adults and
faced life in prison if it s necessary. Being a minor should not be an excuse to pay for the felonies
someone commits. Although many opponents think that a minor shouldn t be charged as an adult,
arguing that juveniles don t know what they doing when they are doing something illegal because a
brain of a teen is not fully develop until they are 18 years old. But is it true? Who proved that? A
criminal not only affects his victim, but also third persons for example the victim s family and
sometimes even the criminal s family. Back in 2001 a young man was murdered by another teen. They
were good friends and neighbors. When the 17 ½ year old found ... Show more content on

traumatic childhood. Jenkins says that the majority of young offenders is spoiled, privilege teens that
whenever they face problems their parents would fix it. In fact, that is why they became public

White In The Great Gatsby
White is colour at its most complete and pure, the colour of perfection. The colour meaning of white is
purity, innocence, wholeness and completion. The colour white was introduced into the novel when
Daisy was described as wearing a white dress. The dress showed her as having a pure and innocent
personality. It was actually ironic that she wore white because the reader knows of her true
characteristics, even though she was represented as lovable character in the book and as well as the
movie. The white covered the fact that she was having an affair with Gatsby. White can also
sometimes symbolize honesty, which is something Nick looked for in people. The narrator and Gatsby
were both honest men and became friends because of it. Nick stopped dating Jordan Baker ... Show

Gatsby surprised her by making an appearance shortly after she arrived. The nervous Jay Gatsby
knocked over and broke a clock while trying to keep his cool around Daisy. This symbolized how time
stopped for the two of them when Gatsby went to war. Gatsby wished things could go back to how
they were before Daisy married Tom, but inside he knew that it was impossible then. The clock
breaking could also be seen as the end of Gatsby s time. It foreshadowed that his time was running
short and soon something might happen to prevent him from marrying Daisy. In the end, Wilson cut
Gatsby s time short by killing him, for basically no reason as he didn t even kill Myrtle. Overall, the
clock represented time and how it played a reoccurring roll in the novel. Time separated Daisy and
Gatsby from getting married five years prior to the setting of the story. The breaking of the clock
showed a sudden change in the steady pace of time. White is not only mentioned related to Gatsby, but
as Nick went to see Daisy for the first time, over at Tom Buchanan house, Tom said that he is
concerned about a book he recently read called The Rise of the Coloured

Examples Of Dolphus Raymond In To Kill A Mockingbird
There are character types and personalities, which with these personalities shows a ton of racial
stereotypes demonstrated in society. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (1960). relevant as ever,
and people need to use the content within the book to learn how to put yourself in another person s
skin.
Dolphus Raymond is an intriguing character because he likes to be with people of color more than
whites, so people do not interact with him. For example, he puts a coca cola bottle in a paper bag to
make it look like an alcoholic beverage. The children proceed to ask him why do you do like you do (
268). and Raymond responds with you mean why do I pretend? Well, It s very simple... i try to give
em a reason you see it helps folks if they latch onto a reason (268). Which Raymond is basically
saying he pretends to be drunk so they think it s alcohol influencing his decisions. Why is this brought
up? This point is being brought up because people tend to use this as an escape tactic from a question
that gets brought up constantly and the way to make them stop is to make up a fake reason so they can
hang onto previously stated fake reason.
There is a literal definition in this book and a metaphorical definition of the quote to kill a
mockingbird is a sin ( ). The metaphorical definition goes around the lines of benefiting yourself off of
the weak, examples of this are when people give money to the homeless just to make more money off
of helping the homeless is like killing a mockingbird. Why does this matter? Well it matters because
near the end of the book Scout brings up that making Arthur Boo Radley a hero would be sort of
killing a mockingbird, because he lived most of his adulthood in solitary and if there were people
waiting to see the hero that saved to kids and being a nuisance to them when their not used to it just
because two lives were saved. Well that seems like its a good thing or is it? Well to the population it is
not a big deal but to the small population of maycomb county it is.
One of the main themes of To Kill a Mockingbird one of the blantly obvious main themes is you do
not fully know someone until you put yourself and the moment she finally understands this theme is at

Sinclair Lewis and Babbitt
The book under analysis herein is Sinclair Lewis Babbitt. The copy I am using in this research is

1922, but there is no information in this book regarding what printing or edition it may be. This

interesting note is that the novel is dedicated to Edith Wharton.

If we look at specific passages from the novel, it is easy to see the author s contention as described
above. While he does temporarily decide to fight the limiting influences of a material society that
ostracizes individuality opposed to its established norms, Babbitt does revert back to his
unquestioning superficial self once he recognizes that having original thoughts and acting on them is
isolating, unprofitable and even dangerous. Babbitt is supposed to represent the ordinary human being,
the average businessman and upwardly mobile middle class America. However, Babbitt seems more
artifice than genuine human being. Like the ads that sell Americans products, Babbitt has forged an
identity that was imposed on him by the dominant forces of democratic capitalism, Just as he was an
Elk, a Booster, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, just as the priests of the Presbyterian Church
determined his every religious belief, and the senators who controlled the Republican Part decided in
little smoky rooms in Washington what he should think about disarmament, tariffs, and Germany, so
did the large national advertisers fix the surface of his life, fix what he believed to be his individuality.
These standard advertised wares...at first the signs, then the substitutes, for joy and passion and
wisdom (Lewis 95).
However, for all his satire of Babbitt, Lewis, in keeping with his own character, seems somewhat

Onion for Body Benefits and Value Calories
Onions are a great free food for the body because they contain only 30 calories per half cup (chopped

Revolution In Xinjiang, Chechnya, And Quebec
Revolution is a common part of life, from the relatively simple revolution of changing your individual
life, to a nation becoming severing the ties that bind it to its past. Xinjiang, Chechnya, and Quebec are
all areas that have experienced revolution on a massive scale. However, not all of them followed the
same ideal of revolution. First, in Xinjiang, the revolution was brought about by the heavy influx of
Han Chinese into the Uighurs territory. This caused them to feel marginalized politically, and also
made them feel as if their very culture and independence were being threatened. The Uighurs reacted
to these feelings by going down a violent path, rioting and fighting for what they perceive to be
incursions on their rights. Now, even 50 years later, there is still conflict in the region, with the
Chinese Army having to quell a riot just as recently as 2009. Next, in Chechnya, following along the
same lines of political conflicts as Xinjiang, just with a dose of economic and cultural for good
measure, the revolution was brought about by the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. After the fall of
the USSR and Russia losing its status as a world superpower, Chechnya tried to abandon ship, so to

Surveillance is something most people do not believe because most people believe that when they are

because through technology Big brother watches them through surveillance cameras.

Education, Communication, And Evolution Of Human...
With the improved living conditions, healthcare, communication, and evolution of human intelligence,
technological advancement in the world today has grown to unprecedented levels. For example, as a
result of technology, patients can remotely interact with medics located in different parts of the world
through telehealth/telemedicine. In the field of education, students do not necessarily need to visit
libraries to access books; there are several soft copies of books online that they can access from the
comfort of their desktop computers, laptops or even mobile phones. On a more advanced level,
learning does not necessarily have to occur only through the reading of books and other traditionally
accepted academic sources. The internet is awash with educative information which is even more up
to date. In her article Project Classroom Makeover, Davidson discusses the potential shift in paradigm
presented by technological advancement in the field of education. She argues that with technological
advancement, it is no longer necessary to have students sit in class and wait to be guided, instructed,
and examined by expertise. On the other side, Sherry Turkle discusses the human machine interaction
in her work Selections from Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from
Each Other as an aspect of the changing paradigm. Nafisi s article Selection from Reading Lolita in
Tehran: A Memoir in Books then presents a society deficient of modern technology. The

Ted Cruz our New President
Who is Ted Cruz, a political machine that came from congress to become the next United State of
America president, that s who Ted Cruz is. From his very humble background to becoming a power

presidential office. From his humble uprising to becoming a senator, Cruz could be the first Hispanic
president of the United States.

He also never though he would be the toughest running opponent In another effort to energize his
campaign after Trump s sweep of primaries in the eastern states, Cruz announced Carly Fiorina as his
vice presidential running mate. With Trump in the lead, Cruz and Kasich announced in April a joint
strategy to try to stop the frontrunner s momentum. Regarding the issue of climate change, the
presidential hopeful acknowledges that climate change is real, but he has questioned the scientific
evidence of its causes and impact as presented by what he calls global warming alarmists. Instead of a
federal government that works to undermine our values, imagine a federal government that works to
defend the sanctity of human life, and to uphold the sacrament of marriage, he said in a speech
announcing his run for president. Cruz said he would focus on winning Indiana while Kasich would
dedicate his campaign to winning the Oregon and New Mexico primaries. In March, after Rubio lost
his home state of Florida to Trump, he dropped out, making it a three way race between Trump, Cruz
and Ohio governor John Kasich. His words struck a chord with many on the religious right, and the
day after his announcement his campaign brought in approximately $1 million in donations. In 2014,
Cruz renounced his dual Canadian citizenship, though his eligibility to run for president was not in
jeopardy. As a 2016 presidential hopeful, he has called for more boots on the ground to increase
security at the border. As the son of a Cuban immigrant, Cruz says he celebrates legal immigration,

Lisa Kudrow Research Paper
So, after reading all of this, what do you think about Lisa Kudrow? I, personally, would love to have
her on my friends list. She stands about 5 8 in height, has blond hair and green eyes. She is an absolute
beauty plus she is intelligent and has a great sense of humor. In case you didn t know, People
magazine viewed Kudrow as being one of the Most Beautiful People in the World in 1997.
Just to recap just a few of her credits, Kudrow received many professional honors including awards
for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor (Screen Actors Guild), Best Supporting Female, an
Independent Spirit Award nomination and Funniest Supporting Female Performer in a TV Series.

Matt Leblanc appeared in Kudrow s Web Therapy a time or two.
Kudrow also attended Milk Studios 2015 Vulture Festival in New York this spring. Billy Eichner and
Julie Klausner of Difficult People were there to mingle with the star. No matter where she goes, it
would seem that someone is asking the proverbial question: Will there ever be a reunion for the cast

they all live in different states so, getting together can be impossible, to say the least. However, they

Leblanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer haven t had much fame or success when it comes to

Reggio Emili Curriculum Methods Techniques
Curriculum Comparison
Jessica Buschmann
ECE 220: Curriculum Methods Techniques
7 February 2016
The Reggio Emilia approach originated in the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. By the end of WWII,
parents and educators in the city developed an educational system for young children. By the 1980s,
many educators across the globe were choosing to use the Reggio Emilia method in the classroom.
The Reggio Emilia approach is considered an in depth project that emerges from the children s
intellectual curiosity, social interactions, and interests (p. 60). Teachers view themselves as partners in
learning and encourage children to express their knowledge through language or modes of expression.
Some examples of modes of expression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both the Sociocultural theory and Reggio Emilia approach provide a learning environment by
teaching basic principles of life and gaining experiences.
The Reggio Emilia approach creates a caring community of learners through provocation; a challenge
to think and wonder (p. 60). The teachers encourage the children to create projects based on their
interests. For example, a well known Reggio project was created after a teacher purposely challenged
the children to be creative. The project started from a life size giraffe puppet and ended with a portrait
of the lion statues in the town plaza. Teachers use documentation to learn more about the children,
curriculum planning, teacher development, and connecting with families and communities. This
allows teachers to be more prepared and have the ability to enhance development and learning. The
systematic study approach also helps assess the children s development needs and learning challenges.
Teachers plan curriculums based on current interests, experiences and/or important goals the children
want to achieve. Another main focus is documenting progress through photographs, transcriptions, and
display for the children and family members to appreciate and examine. It helps establish a
relationship with not only the children and their work, but also for the teachers and family members
(p. 60).

Ethical practices related to the supervision and treatment of prison populations 2 INTRODUCTION
This paper will define the treatment of prisons within the United States, Central America and Africa, it
will explain how many of these countries human rights and due process are violated within the
correctional system, it will further exam how inmates under the supervision of correctional staff treat
inmates while they are incarcerated by not allowing them the due process that they are required to
have. Finally, this paper will also analyze cruel and unusual punishment these inmates receive while
under the supervision of correctional staff.
Ethical practices related to the supervision and treatment of prison populations 3
The population of inmates incarcerated in the United States is far higher than any country that
incarcerates inmates throughout the world, the United States incarcerates inmates juveniles, women
and men for crimes that are both non violent as well as violent crimes, by incarcerating these inmates

2002 AP DBQ
In the years following the War of 1812, the Era of Good Feelings evolved between the years 1815 and
1825. In the first half of this period, there was a strong sense of nationalism throughout the United
States. However, political changes and economic differences between the states warped this
nationalism into the sectionalism that divided the country into north, south and west regions.
Celebrations of unity within the United States soon turned into disagreements concerning
representation within the government and the differences within the national government caused by
the emergence of different Republican factions. States distanced themselves from working collectively
in a united economy. They were largely concerned with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, there was a high tariff placed on foreign goods. This was beneficial for the north because
it increased the chances of Americans purchasing the goods produced in their factories. However, this
was disadvantageous for the south. Since slaves were viewed as objects, imported slaves were
considered imported goods and were sold with high tariffs attached to them. The three regions were
becoming more sectionalist because they were becoming increasing concerned with problems facing
their own area, and not the country as a whole. The sectionalism that emerged during this time period
did so within a short period of time. This is easy to see in the election maps of 1820 and 1824. Within
these four years, the United States went from being uniformly supportive of one candidate (Monroe in
1820), to having support for several candidates. While much of the south was in support of Andrew
Jackson, the first president who did not have a formal education and supported the common man ,
much of the north backed John Q. Adams, the eventual winner. These maps illustrate the regional
differences that eventually led to the lack of a majority vote. Sectionalism became quite prominent
with the emergence of different factions within the Republican Party and eventually the creation of
new parties. Each region was sectionalist in that they voted for the candidate who would be the best
advocate for their area, rather than leader for their country.

My Career At Robert Bosch
Throughout my career at Robert Bosch, I have been exposed to functionality of products like Anti
Lock Braking Systems, Electronic Stability Program, Airbags and other Electronic Control Units. The
fact that an average car has 60 different embedded units performing various functions, sharing
information over networks like CAN or FLEXRAY, has always amazed me. This exposure has
inculcated a passion in me to gain more knowledge in the design and development of embedded
systems. I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics. I was motivated to
choose this field of study due to a previous attempt at implementing a cell phone controlled robot that
worked on decoding DTMF signals. The choice paid off when after gaining some knowledge about
microcontrollers in my first year, I managed to get the robot up and running. The satisfaction gained
has always been a motivational factor in my career decisions. I believe my keen interest developed
through projects as well as my basic professional experience in the embedded domain will help me
actively participate in UCLA s graduate program in Electrical Engineering, with focus on Embedded
Systems.

Maturation can be defended as genetically programmed development. Stages of development ‘switch
on at fairly predictable time during childhood. The changes occur quiet rapidly, and allow a similar
pattern in almost all children. Almost all individuals have a unique genotype. This affects their
aptitudes and intelligence. Certain children have noticeable cognition deflects that limit their ability to
learn. Some of the conditions that lead to such deficits are strongly influences by genetics. The Role of
Learning Learning is the main process by which children acquire behaviour and understanding from
the environment. Children learn in various ways and acquire new ways in learning, as they get older.
Learning probably contributes more to human development has it does in any other species. This has
enabled humans to adapt to living in environments and conditions that are far different from those
present during much of human evolution. The role of a child in learning Children play an important
and active role in their own learning. Most infants display an intense curiosity about the world. This
leads them to make the most of opportunities to learn through play. Children also make demands on
parents on parents in a way that leads to learning opportunities, although without necessarily realising
that this is what they are doing. The tendency of children from around 3 6 years old to ask a long

Electronic Commerce And E Commerce
Electronic Commerce
Electronic Commerce Defined Salvatore (2013) defines electronic commerce or e commerce stating, E
commerce refers to the production, advertising, sale, and distribution of products and services from
business to business and from business to consumer through the internet (p. 150). These activities can
take place in many environments between businesses and consumers. E commerce has changed the
way goods and services are exchanged and have given light to businesses and consumers to exist on a
global scale without an established brand. With e commerce defined, let us look at its origin.
E Commerce Origin
E commerce has origins that trace back to the mid 1900s. In these times very few organizations had

Emily Dickinson s Poetry Essay
The large amount of poems in Dickinson s collection containing the theme of death is impossible to be
overlooked. Approximately one third from her entire collection speaks about the subject, something
that for many decades has intrigued fans and scholars alike. In order to understand this fixation, one
must study the poet s upbringing and religious conflicts, which are unequivocally at the center of this
fascination with the theme of death.
Consider by many as the best and least known major American author (Eberwein 1), Dickinson love
for poetry began and was encouraged by Benjamin F. Newton, a two year apprentice at her father s
law firm, who encourage her in her writing and apparently told her she could become a great poet

Mr. Dickinson was a very well respected man who had been treasurer for the Amherst College for
nearly four decades; he served many times as state legislator, was a great leader within the Amherst
community, but most importantly, he was a father with infinite love to his daughter Emily. In a letter
after his death, Emily wrote, His heart was pure and terrible and I think no one like it exits. I am glad
there is immortality but would have tested myself before entrusting him (Dickinson 528), meaning
that she would have preferred dying before her father.
Born in December 10, 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts, Emily grew up in a puritan family
surrounded with Calvinist doctrine religious doctrine which stresses that people are saved through
God s grace and the necessity of conversion It was this condition for conversion into Christianity what
created an internal religious conflict, that led Emily to distancing herself from church, and later to the
hundreds of poems and letters in which she rationalized her decision and began to explores the theme
of death and salvation
In his book titled Emily Dickinson, Paul J. Ferlazzo claims that Dickinson s sense of worry about
salvation after death takes many forms in every period of her life. In order to expand on his claim,
Ferlazzo offers the following Dickinson s stanza as an example to support his point of view.

To know that when you die and will be judged is enough to also keep you on the right path if you are a
strong Christian. Throughout my life I have always felt like something is missing in my life, I was
never born into a Christian household, I wasn t brought up to go to church every Sunday. My family
weekends consisted of family gatherings with alcohol, card playing and music. I never learned about
God until I was around 13 years old.
I always felt it was a higher power and someone that planned our destiny. Just never learned or knew
much about him. Now that I am 32 years old I find myself asking and praying for God to come into
my life and save me. I know that I have not lived my life according to his plans and I do want to be
able to make it into his kingdom. As a young Christian woman I am tempted everyday to stir away
from the things that I pray and ask for. Forgiveness, to be saved, to have eternal life with God. God
hears my prayers, as a Christian I try to live right. This brings me to that in order to claim to be a
Christian it does matter how you live your life, it will all be reflected back in your after life.

Analyzing China s Nuclear Energy Plans
How effective nuclear argument China s energy plans?
Introduction:
China, now has the biggest gross domestic product GDP, and has allowed investment by multinational
firms but has problems of policy because it is still a centralized communist state and the planning for
China must essentially be based on these cross cultural perspectives. This has also affected the fuel
and the energy infrastructure to a great extent. (Alon, 2003, p. 3) One of the factors that created the
variance in culture is the vast geological differences that impose different life styles based on various
resources.
Resources:
China has vast resources like coal and fossil fuel and hydro electric potential. The problem is the
development of the infrastructure. The geological position off resources and the fragmentation of the
regions and the poor development of the infrastructure can hamper growth. There is a greater phase of
urbanization in China now but this is lesser by the world level and there are vast regional and cultural
differences within the Chinese towns that lend a distinct cultural ethos to the urbanization and
functioning of organizations. (Mengkui; Bingwen, 2006, p. 112) This can be seen in the problem of
transporting coal, the major source of power, and the location of the dams and other infrastructure that
were created by the centralized regime. The problem is that the political system of China is unitary
and the entire provinces have their decisions made by the Centre at Beijing

This is important because without this we are left with only what we ourselves have experienced, and

understand where each individual s beliefs stem from. We cannot risk dividing the country. This is
important because we cannot isolate ourselves with only people that share our beliefs. This makes the
country counterproductive, and does not let us progress as a society. Another reason why safe spaces
should not be implemented in colleges is because the majority of students don t mind the subjects. In

Wildlife Progression
In the late 1800 s and early 1900 s there were a lot of things going on in the United States. New laws
were being formed about child labor, women started standing up for themselves and demanding tights
and just in general people started to realize that if they wanted something to change that they had to
speak up to make a difference. As cities became more crowded, people started to look for peace in
their chaotic lives. Before this time period, not many people valued the true beauty of the western
United States and all of its beautiful scenery.
Many explorers that have gone west have discovered wonderful things. New plants, rivers, mountains
and many new creatures were among the things that they discovered. In 1857 when S.H. Hammond
writes a book explaining the outdoors as a retreat from everyday life, that was the first time that
people started to value our nation s great resources. After this book was published, many other books
were published by different authors all saying the same thing. We have to preserve our nation s

that had to be knocked down to accommodate the big companies. The first national park that protected
these great lands was founded in 1872 by Ulysses S. Grant and it was named Yellowstone national
park. This prevented anybody from destroying the wildlife to make room for big business empires
such as Rockefeller and Vanderbilt s companies. After this national park was founded, many more

The Coca Cola Company s strengths and weaknesses in both its resources and capabilities: Coca Cola
s strengths are excellent brand recognition, diverse product line, strong supply chain network, largest
beverage distribution system, competitive marketing strategy, sustainable services to customers. Its
weaknesses are perceived negative safety and quality consequences of certain ingredients, health and
nutrition issues, high dependence on bottling partners, water availability and sustainability, potential
shortages and higher prices of raw materials, etc,. However, consumers preferences are evolving
rapidly as a result of health and nutrition considerations, shifting consumer demographics, changes in

Adoption of Leed as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria
ARC 879: PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDIES 2012 Adoption of LEED® as a Green Building
Rating System in Nigeria Going Green In Nigeria OMOEFE AGHIMIEN 119051038 ABSTRACT
Green building rating systems are in a state of constant flux and often differ from region to region.
Regardless, fundamental principles persist from which the rating system is derived. These include
sustainable sites and structure design efficiency, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials
efficiency, indoor environmental quality, operations and maintenance optimization, innovation and
design process, waste and toxic reduction etc. The essence of green building is an optimization of one
or more of these principles. The green building rating system, LEED® ... Show more content on

* Reduced air and water pollution (with direct health benefits) * Reduced water consumption *
Limited waste generation due to recycling and reuse * Reduced pollution loads * Increased user
productivity * Enhanced image and marketability. The concept of sustainable development can be
traced to the energy (especially fossil oil) crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s.
The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and
environmentally friendly construction practices. There are a number of motives to building green,
including environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, modern sustainability initiatives
call for an integrated and synergistic design to both new construction and in the retrofitting of an
existing structure. Also known as sustainable design, this approach integrates the building life cycle
with each green practice employed with a design purpose to create a synergy amongst the practices
used. Green building brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and ultimately
eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. It often emphasizes taking
advantage of renewable resources, e.g., using sunlight through passive solar, active solar, and
photovoltaic techniques and using plants and trees through green roofs, rain gardens, and for reduction
of rainwater run off. Many

It was my first year in middle school. It wasn t the greatest thing in the world, but I had finally started
to develop a sense of connection to the people and things around me. I was learning about my interests
(pizza and dodge ball) and my disinterests (video games and spinach soup). During these years, I
experimented with scrap making it my purpose to create something out of nothing. I would bend, cut,
screw, weld, and much of the time end up hurting myself trying to make a vision into a reality.
Surprisingly, back in 10,000 BC cavemen were doing very similar things. The cave man s first
inventions included the hunting club and the sharpened stone. These tools became the all purpose

This forms a runny slur which is packed into cylinders were the lead is shaped into pencil cores. Once
the pencil cores are extruded out of the packing cylinders they are passed through a dye which allows
the lead to take on the shape of a pencil lead. The pencil cores are left to dry in 1800 degree furnaces
to ensure all traces of water are out of the lead. While the furnace stiffens the lead, the wood working
area fabricates the pencil shell. First a saw cuts eight grooves in a slab of cedar which will hold the
graphite cores. The cores are glued into one slat and covered by another forming a sandwich. This
block is then cut into a hexagonal shaped pencil. The pencils are then sanded, painted, and fitted with
a brass eraser holder called a ferrule. The final step to the process is fitting the pencil with the eraser
itself which concludes the production process.
In addition to an intricate production process, the number two pencil requires different continents and
cultures to cooperate and bring materials together from across the world. The four core materials
required to fabricate the pencil are graphite, cedar, metal, and rubber. The first material, known as the
California cedar tree, is produced in the Pacific North West. Its straight grain qualities making it ideal
for smooth sharpening. The graphite, on the contrary, is mined in China and Sri Lanka. These raw
materials are later exported to factories. The metal used in

Essay on Apostolic Ministry in Rome
Apostolic Ministry in Rome
According to tradition, there are two apostles who ministered in Rome. While some modern scholars
question whether the Apostle Peter was ever in Rome, he is certainly the most celebrated Apostle of
the city. A simple example of this is that the largest basilica in Rome (and one of the largest in the
world) is named in honor of Saint Peter. The Apostle Paul s existence in Rome is less disputed and
even though he is less commemorated nearly two millennia later. The circumstances surrounding Peter
and Paul s arrivals in Rome, their ministries in Rome, and their deaths are worth examining since
these two figures are still remembered nearly two millennia after their ministries in Rome.

This letter implies that the suggestion that Peter had ministered in Rome was common knowledge in
the early second century (Kirsch Sec. IV).? In the middle of the second century, after having spent
time in Rome, Iren›Î of Lyons ?described the Roman Church as the most prominent and chief
preserver of the Apostolic tradition, as ?the greatest and most ancient church, known by all, founded
and organized at Rome by the two most glorious Apostles, Peter and Paul?? (Kirsch Sec. IV).? There
are many other testimonies to Paul and Peter spending time in Rome including the apocryphal Acts of
St. Peter and the Acts of Sts. Peter and Paul.
While Peter?s visit to Rome is primarily mentioned in extra Biblical literature, Paul?s visit to Rome is
mentioned in some of his epistles and in Acts.? During his third missionary journey, Paul?s ministry to
Rome has clearly already begun even before he has ever traveled there.? While at Corinth, he writes to
the Roman Church in view of his intention to go to Spain because the gospel had yet to be preached
there.? Paul also states that another intention of his is to stay for a time in Rome (Romans 15:14ff, 24,
28).? This comes about through a different series of events than one might expect.? Paul, unlike Peter,
is a Roman citizen.? After being falsely accused by Jewish leaders of Jerusalem and subsequently two

United Airlines Case Analysis
United is the largest airline in the world in terms of the number of destinations and one of the largest
in terms of fleet size and revenue. It is arguably the oldest surviving airline in the United States.
United presently operates more than seven hundred aircraft with a route structure circling the globe.
United Airlines was not officially formed until March 28, 1931, when it was incorporated as a
management company designed to coordinate the activities of its subsidiary airlines. The addition of
National Air Transport in 1930 allowed United to operate the first true transcontinental air route, from
San Francisco to New York (Salem, January 2017). United Airline s previous hubs were the Cleveland
Hopkins International Airport, Miami International Airport, Stapleton International Airport and JFK
International Airport in New York. The company employs over 80000 people. It is a public, listed
company with stock being listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Airlines offers over 130
international destinations to its clients in over 60 nations across all the continents in the world. United

The Importance Of Art Funding For Education Essay
The Importance of Art Funding
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, art is defined as something that is created with
imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings ( Art ). With
that being said, it is almost essential that art is maintained as a general course required for every
student to take. While having art classes in schools available for students is important, it is also
equally as important for the school funding for the art programs to be regulated throughout each
district. By using a simple student to teacher ratio to determine how much money should be allotted to
each teacher, this reoccurring problem could be solved for good.
One of the main problems in the art program throughout the United States is the regulation of funding
within the program. For example, while one teacher has one hundred students and another may have
seventy, the teacher with seventy students gets a budget of five hundred dollars when the teacher with
one hundred gets only three hundred and fifty. On top of that, not only is it unfair to the individual
teachers, but it is also happening all over the United States to teachers in the same district. In an article
about secondary art programs, it states that the art teacher at School Number Two was operating with
78% of the funds as the teacher at School Number One. Because the two schools are within the same
district, this is a difference that seemingly defies explanation (Kraft 55). While

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bldc Motor
Abstract: A dc Brushless Motor uses a permanent magnet external rotor, three phases of driving coils,
one or more Hall Effect devices to sense the position of the rotor, and the associated drive electronics.
The coils are activated, one phase after the other, by the drive electronics as cued by the signals from
the Hall effect sensors, they act as three phase synchronous motors containing their own variable
frequency drive electronics. A simplified current controlled modulation technique for BLDC motors is
presented. The advantages of this strategy are: 1. Very simple control scheme. 2. Phase currents are
kept balanced. 3. The current is controlled through only one DC component 1.1 Brush Less Dc Motor:

In an outer rotor style, the windings are situated within the core of the motor. The rotor magnets
surround the stator coil windings as shown here. The rotor magnets act as an dielectric, thereby
reducing the speed of heat dissipation from the motor. Because of the situation of the stator coil
windings, outer rotor styles usually operate at lower duty cycles or at a lower rated current. The first
advantage of an outer rotor BLDC motor is comparatively low cogging force. In an inner rotor style,
the stator coil windings surround the rotor and are mounted to the motor s housing as shown here. The
first advantage of an inner rotor construction is its ability to dissipate heat. A motor s ability to
dissipate heat directly impacts its ability to provide force. For this reason, the overwhelming majority
of BLDC motors use an inner rotor style. Another advantage of an inner rotor style is lower rotor
inertia. Advantages: High Speed Operation A BLDC motor can operate at speeds approximately ten
thousand revolutions per minute under loaded and unloaded conditions. Responsiveness Inner rotor
Brushless DC motors have low rotor inertia, allowing them to accelerate, decelerate, and reverse
direction

  • 2. Grecian Influence The Romans took from the Greeks the three orders of architecture, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian, based on different forms of column and the capital which surmounted it, and added a hybrid of their own, known as Composite. (The Romans, n.d.) It is not a secret the Romans admired and took on Greek culture, but the field of architecture the Romans created their own style. That is not to say the Composite is free of Grecian influence as the influence from the Corinthian style is doubtless present in the columns. Nevertheless, creating the Composite does not diminish the magnificence in the Greek s three renown architecture styles. In any case, Grecian Parthenon and Roman Pantheon have proofs of culture s influence on art. Pericles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indeed, even the name the Pantheon refers to many or 12 gods, undoubtedly Grecian in origin. The service of foreign gods did not end with Greece, and through propaganda of gods like Serapis, a half Egyptian half Greco god, to even political means the necessity the Roman people had for religion is undeniable. While many believe the Greeks and the Romans to serve the same gods, the Romans were mixing and making them their own proving they only could construct the Pantheon in the same manner. As I expressed before, the Grecian culture influenced the Romans, and in turn the Romans made something completely their own, the Composite. The Pantheon shows its order through the Composite s classic Corinthian columns, and Roman circular floor plan. The Pantheon may have an unusual floor scheme as a rectangle and circle merge together to create it, but this shape facilitates the element of symmetry. The Pantheon took very balanced, and the dome and triangular roof produce the element of variation. Globally, professionals consider the Pantheon one of the best preserved buildings of all time. An important point inside Phillis Wheatley s story, Thoughts on the works of Providence, is that God is visible in a number of things in nature. But, however, we must open our eyes and soul to actually see it. She refers to the Sun a lot in the poem, and it subjects how big God is and his abilities, not just representation. Her thoughts are that the sun is able to provide for the things on earth, such as humans, plants, and a number of things. For instance, Wheatley s states that, So far beneath from Him the extended earth, vigor derives, and every flowery births. It s a metaphoric statement that implies God is represented by the sun therefore giving life to everything on planet earth and more. Her use of symbolism also gives a great representation ... • 4. Gender Roles in Shakespeare Gender Roles in Shakespeare It is a peculiar feature of Shakespeare s plays that they both participate in and reflect the ideas of gender roles in Western society. To the extent that they reflect existing notions about the proper roles of men and women, they can be said to be a product of their society. However, since they have been studied, performed, and taught for five hundred years, they may be seen as formative of contemporary notions about the relationships between males, females, and power. Derrida was right in asserting that there is no outside to the text. His claim is that every text is affected by every other text and every other speech act. As an instance, most of Shakespeare s plays have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The contrast between the empowering masculinization of female characters and the paralyzing feminization of males make the latter more appropriate to a tragedy or a satire, the former more useful in comedy. Rosalind speaks several times in ways that display an awareness of her (doubly) altered gender, for instance linking boys and women as cattle of this color (III.ii.414). In a more radical maneuver she addresses the audience as a male epilogue. If I were a woman ... (AYLI epilogue) not only calls attention to the gap between the gender of the performer and the gender of the actor, but demands that the audience recognize of the actor as actor. The tensions set up in the play remain in suspense until Ganymede disappears and Rosalind reappears near the end of Act V. All the complications surrounding Orlando, Phebe, and Silvius are resolved as Rosalind gives up her assumption of a man s prerogatives. It is easy to assume that dominant males in Shakespearean comedy conform to norms of expectation and behavior, but it is more difficult to determine what those expectations may have been in the Elizabethan era. Psychologists have examined the development of sexual awareness as part of identity. The colour white was introduced into the novel when Daisy was described as wearing a white dress. The dress showed her as having a pure and innocent personality. It was actually ironic that she wore white because the reader knows of her true characteristics, even though she was represented as lovable character in the book and as well as the movie. The white covered the fact that she was having an affair with Gatsby. White can also sometimes symbolize honesty, which is something Nick looked for in people. Gatsby surprised her by making an appearance shortly after she arrived. The nervous Jay Gatsby knocked over and broke a clock while trying to keep his cool around Daisy. This symbolized how time stopped for the two of them when Gatsby went to war. Gatsby wished things could go back to how they were before Daisy married Tom, but inside he knew that it was impossible then. The clock breaking could also be seen as the end of Gatsby s time. It foreshadowed that his time was running short and soon something might happen to prevent him from marrying Daisy. In the end, Wilson cut Gatsby s time short by killing him, for basically no reason as he didn t even kill Myrtle. Overall, the clock represented time and how it played a reoccurring roll in the novel. Time separated Daisy and Gatsby from getting married five years prior to the setting of the story. The breaking of the clock showed a sudden change in the steady pace of time. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (1960). relevant as ever, and people need to use the content within the book to learn how to put yourself in another person s skin. Dolphus Raymond is an intriguing character because he likes to be with people of color more than whites, so people do not interact with him. For example, he puts a coca cola bottle in a paper bag to make it look like an alcoholic beverage. The children proceed to ask him why do you do like you do ( 268). and Raymond responds with you mean why do I pretend? Well, It s very simple... i try to give em a reason you see it helps folks if they latch onto a reason (268). Which Raymond is basically saying he pretends to be drunk so they think it s alcohol influencing his decisions. Why is this brought up? This point is being brought up because people tend to use this as an escape tactic from a question that gets brought up constantly and the way to make them stop is to make up a fake reason so they can hang onto previously stated fake reason. There is a literal definition in this book and a metaphorical definition of the quote to kill a mockingbird is a sin ( ). The metaphorical definition goes around the lines of benefiting yourself off of the weak, examples of this are when people give money to the homeless just to make more money off of helping the homeless is like killing a mockingbird. Why does this matter? Well it matters because near the end of the book Scout brings up that making Arthur Boo Radley a hero would be sort of killing a mockingbird, because he lived most of his adulthood in solitary and if there were people waiting to see the hero that saved to kids and being a nuisance to them when their not used to it just because two lives were saved. Well that seems like its a good thing or is it? Well to the population it is not a big deal but to the small population of maycomb county it is. Revolution In Xinjiang, Chechnya, And Quebec Revolution is a common part of life, from the relatively simple revolution of changing your individual life, to a nation becoming severing the ties that bind it to its past. Xinjiang, Chechnya, and Quebec are all areas that have experienced revolution on a massive scale. However, not all of them followed the same ideal of revolution. First, in Xinjiang, the revolution was brought about by the heavy influx of Han Chinese into the Uighurs territory. This caused them to feel marginalized politically, and also made them feel as if their very culture and independence were being threatened. The Uighurs reacted to these feelings by going down a violent path, rioting and fighting for what they perceive to be incursions on their rights. Now, even 50 years later, there is still conflict in the region, with the Chinese Army having to quell a riot just as recently as 2009. Next, in Chechnya, following along the same lines of political conflicts as Xinjiang, just with a dose of economic and cultural for good measure, the revolution was brought about by the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. With the improved living conditions, healthcare, communication, and evolution of human intelligence, technological advancement in the world today has grown to unprecedented levels. For example, as a result of technology, patients can remotely interact with medics located in different parts of the world through telehealth/telemedicine. In the field of education, students do not necessarily need to visit libraries to access books; there are several soft copies of books online that they can access from the comfort of their desktop computers, laptops or even mobile phones. On a more advanced level, learning does not necessarily have to occur only through the reading of books and other traditionally accepted academic sources. The internet is awash with educative information which is even more up to date. In her article Project Classroom Makeover, Davidson discusses the potential shift in paradigm presented by technological advancement in the field of education. She argues that with technological advancement, it is no longer necessary to have students sit in class and wait to be guided, instructed, and examined by expertise. On the other side, Sherry Turkle discusses the human machine interaction in her work Selections from Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other as an aspect of the changing paradigm. By the 1980s, many educators across the globe were choosing to use the Reggio Emilia method in the classroom. The Reggio Emilia approach creates a caring community of learners through provocation; a challenge to think and wonder (p. 60). The teachers encourage the children to create projects based on their interests. For example, a well known Reggio project was created after a teacher purposely challenged the children to be creative. The project started from a life size giraffe puppet and ended with a portrait of the lion statues in the town plaza. Teachers use documentation to learn more about the children, curriculum planning, teacher development, and connecting with families and communities. This allows teachers to be more prepared and have the ability to enhance development and learning. The systematic study approach also helps assess the children s development needs and learning challenges. Teachers plan curriculums based on current interests, experiences and/or important goals the children want to achieve. Another main focus is documenting progress through photographs, transcriptions, and display for the children and family members to appreciate and examine. In the first half of this period, there was a strong sense of nationalism throughout the United States. However, political changes and economic differences between the states warped this nationalism into the sectionalism that divided the country into north, south and west regions. However, this was disadvantageous for the south. Since slaves were viewed as objects, imported slaves were considered imported goods and were sold with high tariffs attached to them. The three regions were becoming more sectionalist because they were becoming increasing concerned with problems facing their own area, and not the country as a whole. The sectionalism that emerged during this time period did so within a short period of time. This is easy to see in the election maps of 1820 and 1824. Within these four years, the United States went from being uniformly supportive of one candidate (Monroe in 1820), to having support for several candidates. While much of the south was in support of Andrew Jackson, the first president who did not have a formal education and supported the common man , much of the north backed John Q. Adams, the eventual winner. These maps illustrate the regional differences that eventually led to the lack of a majority vote. Adoption of Leed as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria ARC 879: PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDIES 2012 Adoption of LEED® as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria Going Green In Nigeria OMOEFE AGHIMIEN 119051038 ABSTRACT Green building rating systems are in a state of constant flux and often differ from region to region. Regardless, fundamental principles persist from which the rating system is derived. These include sustainable sites and structure design efficiency, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials efficiency, indoor environmental quality, operations and maintenance optimization, innovation and design process, waste and toxic reduction etc. The essence of green building is an optimization of one or more of these principles. The concept of sustainable development can be traced to the energy (especially fossil oil) crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s. The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices. There are a number of motives to building green, including environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, modern sustainability initiatives call for an integrated and synergistic design to both new construction and in the retrofitting of an existing structure. Also known as sustainable design, this approach integrates the building life cycle with each green practice employed with a design purpose to create a synergy amongst the practices used. Green building brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and ultimately eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. It often emphasizes taking advantage of renewable resources, e.g., using sunlight through passive solar, active solar, and photovoltaic techniques and using plants and trees through green roofs, rain gardens, and for reduction of rainwater run off. It wasn t the greatest thing in the world, but I had finally started to develop a sense of connection to the people and things around me. I was learning about my interests (pizza and dodge ball) and my disinterests (video games and spinach soup). During these years, I experimented with scrap making it my purpose to create something out of nothing. I would bend, cut, screw, weld, and much of the time end up hurting myself trying to make a vision into a reality. Surprisingly, back in 10,000 BC cavemen were doing very similar things. The cave man s first inventions included the hunting club and the sharpened stone. These tools became the all purpose skinning and killing survival tools of their time. The ... Once the pencil cores are extruded out of the packing cylinders they are passed through a dye which allows the lead to take on the shape of a pencil lead. The pencil cores are left to dry in 1800 degree furnaces to ensure all traces of water are out of the lead. While the furnace stiffens the lead, the wood working area fabricates the pencil shell. First a saw cuts eight grooves in a slab of cedar which will hold the graphite cores. The cores are glued into one slat and covered by another forming a sandwich. This block is then cut into a hexagonal shaped pencil. The pencils are then sanded, painted, and fitted with a brass eraser holder called a ferrule. The final step to the process is fitting the pencil with the eraser itself which concludes the production process. In addition to an intricate production process, the number two pencil requires different continents and cultures to cooperate and bring materials together from across the world. The four core materials required to fabricate the pencil are graphite, cedar, metal, and rubber. The first material, known as the California cedar tree, is produced in the Pacific North West. Its straight grain qualities making it ideal for smooth sharpening. The graphite, on the contrary, is mined in China and Sri Lanka. These raw materials are later exported to factories. • 42. Essay on Apostolic Ministry in Rome Apostolic Ministry in Rome According to tradition, there are two apostles who ministered in Rome. While some modern scholars question whether the Apostle Peter was ever in Rome, he is certainly the most celebrated Apostle of the city. A simple example of this is that the largest basilica in Rome (and one of the largest in the world) is named in honor of Saint Peter. The Apostle Paul s existence in Rome is less disputed and even though he is less commemorated nearly two millennia later. The circumstances surrounding Peter and Paul s arrivals in Rome, their ministries in Rome, and their deaths are worth examining since these two figures are still remembered nearly two millennia after their ministries in Rome. There is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This letter implies that the suggestion that Peter had ministered in Rome was common knowledge in the early second century (Kirsch Sec. IV).? In the middle of the second century, after having spent time in Rome, Iren›Î of Lyons ?described the Roman Church as the most prominent and chief preserver of the Apostolic tradition, as ?the greatest and most ancient church, known by all, founded and organized at Rome by the two most glorious Apostles, Peter and Paul?? (Kirsch Sec. IV).? There are many other testimonies to Paul and Peter spending time in Rome including the apocryphal Acts of St. Peter and the Acts of Sts. Peter and Paul. While Peter?s visit to Rome is primarily mentioned in extra Biblical literature, Paul?s visit to Rome is mentioned in some of his epistles and in Acts.? During his third missionary journey, Paul?s ministry to Rome has clearly already begun even before he has ever traveled there.? While at Corinth, he writes to the Roman Church in view of his intention to go to Spain because the gospel had yet to be preached there.? Paul also states that another intention of his is to stay for a time in Rome (Romans 15:14ff, 24, 28).? This comes about through a different series of events than one might expect.? • 44. The Importance Of Art Funding For Education Essay The Importance of Art Funding According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, art is defined as something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings ( Art ). With that being said, it is almost essential that art is maintained as a general course required for every student to take. While having art classes in schools available for students is important, it is also equally as important for the school funding for the art programs to be regulated throughout each district. By using a simple student to teacher ratio to determine how much money should be allotted to each teacher, this reoccurring problem could be solved for good. One of the main problems in the art program throughout the United States is the regulation of funding within the program. For example, while one teacher has one hundred students and another may have seventy, the teacher with seventy students gets a budget of five hundred dollars when the teacher with one hundred gets only three hundred and fifty. On top of that, not only is it unfair to the individual teachers, but it is also happening all over the United States to teachers in the same district. In an article about secondary art programs, it states that the art teacher at School Number Two was operating with 78% of the funds as the teacher at School Number One. Because the two schools are within the same district, this is a difference that seemingly defies explanation (Kraft 55). While ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bldc Motor Abstract: A dc Brushless Motor uses a permanent magnet external rotor, three phases of driving coils, one or more Hall Effect devices to sense the position of the rotor, and the associated drive electronics. The coils are activated, one phase after the other, by the drive electronics as cued by the signals from the Hall effect sensors, they act as three phase synchronous motors containing their own variable frequency drive electronics. A simplified current controlled modulation technique for BLDC motors is presented. The advantages of this strategy are: 1. Very simple control scheme. 2. Phase currents are kept balanced. 3. The current is controlled through only one DC component 1.1 Brush Less Dc Motor: Brushless DC electrical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an outer rotor style, the windings are situated within the core of the motor. The rotor magnets surround the stator coil windings as shown here. The rotor magnets act as an dielectric, thereby reducing the speed of heat dissipation from the motor. Because of the situation of the stator coil windings, outer rotor styles usually operate at lower duty cycles or at a lower rated current. The first advantage of an outer rotor BLDC motor is comparatively low cogging force. In an inner rotor style, the stator coil windings surround the rotor and are mounted to the motor s housing as shown here. The first advantage of an inner rotor construction is its ability to dissipate heat. A motor s ability to dissipate heat directly impacts its ability to provide force. For this reason, the overwhelming majority of BLDC motors use an inner rotor style. Another advantage of an inner rotor style is lower rotor inertia. Advantages: High Speed Operation A BLDC motor can operate at speeds approximately ten thousand revolutions per minute under loaded and unloaded conditions. Responsiveness Inner rotor Brushless DC motors have low rotor inertia, allowing them to accelerate, decelerate, and reverse direction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
