How did I attract the
audience to the magazine
Interviews
I interview two people on the magazine and their responses show how they
were attracted to the magazine. The magazine has been constructed to
appeal to the target audience because of the age and situation of the
bands/artists in the magazine all three of the people I interviews all said they
wanted to see a magazine article about a rock band their age and coming
from the same situation they are from someone they can relate to. They said
they wanted a cool home style with loud colours like red or orange which is
what we did to appeal to their lifestyle and they also said that they liked the
way cover lines were worded and the questions they brought up this is in
relation to the syntax used. The language I used relates and attracts my
target audience for the magazine. The use of informal words and language
relates to them and the common culture. The use of slang has related to the
audience makes them want to view the magazine more.
Pull quote
The pull quote is perhaps the most important way in which I
attracted/address my audience the pull quote is “you get what you
work for” and this band really did work for it.” this is a good pull quote
because it shows a quote and a opinion on this quote which attracts
the audience to the magazine and draws them into a into state their
own opinion.
Audience research important parts
The biggest part of my market research was my questionnaire which was
answered by over twenty people. It told be exactly what my audience
wanted to see it told me what their preferred colour scheme which was red
and black, it told me what content to put in my magazine which was
information about the artists and bands personal life and how much they are
willing to pay for a rock music magazine which helped my work out how
much to charge. This is how I attracted the audience to the magazine. I also
attracted them by offering free stuff in my magazine which was almost a
unanimous vote for yes. I addressed my audience with the best bands and
artists that they wanted in and with the next up coming rock evens also for
the facet they wanted a single artist on the front cover that relates to them
this is another way I addressed them.
