This article from the Journal of the International Ombudsman Association (JIOA) is wonderful! For me, the fact both authors – Jan Newcomb and
Dawn Duquet– have been used autoethnography as their form of exploring concepts it is great and I found it fascinating. This method allows them to
use self–reflection to explore their own personal experiences (The JIOA editorial board, 2017). Even though both authors have different personalities

and their residency in long term care facilities. The DHS has different branches that cater to the needs of older adults as well as regulations and laws

The Volunteer Ombudsman Program (VOP) has been undergoing a lot of changes in order to improve the program for the people that we serve with

It was a challenge trying to learn their language and communication style, but after working alongside them with other direct support staff, we
